Recently had a full rewire done on our house by A1 Electrical. Great communication with Richard from start to finish. Other companies preferred us to leave the property while work was done, but A1 was happy to work around us which helped massively. Michael and Paul both had to contend with a heatweave during the job, but both cracked on and couldn't speak highly enough of them . Would definitely recommend A1 for anyone needing electrical work.

Richard and his team were very professional and quickly arranged to come and see my set up and provide a competitive quote. The outcome works as it should and the entire A1 team were awesome! Highly recommended to anyone looking at getting their alarms installed or repaired.

A1 alarms were brilliant from initially coming around to my house to have a look at what I currently had installed to a recommendation of what the latest wireless alarms would be best suited for my house. The installation team arrived on time and were very polite and clean in installing the alarm and going through the operation of setting the alarm and advising on additional add ons that enabled me to set my alarm remotely from my mobile phone. Great after service and I can thoroughly recommend this company from a price, installation and after service perspective.

Richard and Adrian fitted my house alarm earlier this year. It was done quickly and easily. It has worked perfectly since and I would highly recommend this firm to do the work for you.

We had lived at current address for over 10 years and never used alarm fitted as we had a dog. When dog sadly passed we decided to upgrade alarm. Contacted A1 alarms Richard came along did survey identified weak security areas and fitted new wireless alarm and removed old alarm. New alarm comes with app allowing you to set alarm and disarm whilst away from home. Great service from A1 would recommend

We had the whole house rewired. The two electrician who did the work Micheal and Paul were excellent. They were always on time and carried the work with minimal disruption. They leave the house tidy every day after they have finished. They were friendly and I will recommend them to anyone in the future.

Excellent service from start to finish. With Richard coming out to show devices to be fitted and costing. Michael who fitted our wireless alarm was very professional and no mess at all . Showed us how to operate the system and how to use the app which I would recommend getting . We had a issue a few weeks later as we had a new wifi router put in and this affected the system. We phoned Richard and he quickly put his son in touch with us and the issue was sorted in 10 mins .highly recommend A1 Alarms.

Contacted this company on a Friday to fit a wire free alarm on Monday I had a home visit from I think it was Richard who gave us advice on what we required (which was less bits than I thought) the price was reasonable and he said job could be done on Wednesday so Mike came out he was a lovely young man very clean and tidy worker and job all done same day we had to wait a couple of days for an extra remote control which was no problem and which was delivered and set up by Adrian exactly as advised all appears to work well and I am very satisfied also I like that this is a local company so I know if I did have a problem like new batteries or something they will be easy to contact and will cone and sort it

We had a full rewire done in February 2025. Michael and Paul were excellent! From the start they explained the full job and process and let us know clearly what would be happening each day. They were both really efficient, arrived on time every day and always answered our questions fully and with paintence! They were both really friendly and accommodating to our needs around our family - they went out of their way to be kind and work around school hours to make it easier. Michael and Paul were really hard working - they just completed the job without any interuptions and explained things clearly when they had to change the plan (the house is old and threw them a few surprises but they just dealt with it all calmly!). They cleaned up really well daily and the finish on the job is to a really high standard- they 'made good' each socket/switch etc to a really high standard. We would definitely use A1 electrics and Michael and Paul again - we could not rate them high enough they really were excellent electricians and provided a really high service. We added on a couple of jobs to the rewire and they were happy to accommodate these. Richard (company owner) was also really helpful, answered our queries very quickly and was very approachable. He was really organised and they all made what could have been a very stressful couple of weeks for our family, alot calmer and easier! I will be recommending the firm to family and friends.

A daunting prospect is household rewiring but I gained confidence in the firm from the start in respect of their professionalism, trustworthiness, and competence. At the end of the day remarkably little disturbance of the decor, and happy to be able to pass on 30 extension cables!

We would have no hesitation in using A1 again if it should ever be necessary. Michael is an asset to the company and did an excellent job in our property.

We used A1 for a full house rewire and would highly recommend them to anyone needing the same. Really professional company, honest and upfront about costs and time frames. We had small children and they ensured property was safe every night before they left. Lads on the job were really polite and easy to have them around. Nothing was too much trouble. Competitive pricing and received a free house alarm too which was a nice touch. They also made good the plaster work and restored rooms back to their original state. I would not hesitate to contact A1 for future works on our home.

Super reliable, always turn up when they say they will. Michael, Jake etc are very friendly and hardworking and Richard's expertise invaluable too. A great experience each time I have used them to date, which is now four occasions. Highly recommended.

A fantastic service. I called them out to replace a faulty control box and they where there the next day. A few months later my daughter’s house alarm would not turn off as there was a faulty external box fault and the alarm was going off continuously. The turned up later that same day to remove the faulty box, then came back a few days later and replaced the faulty box and reset the system.

4.5 stars!! A1 completed a full rewire of my property in July 2024. The house still had its original wiring from when the house was built, so it was quite a big job! Michael, Jake and Macca all completed the work to a really good standard, there were a few snags along the way meaning the task took longer than expected but Michael was able to sort them out thankfully! All in all, would recommend and will definitely use again, thank you! :-)

Couldn’t fault a thing and would recommend A1 alarms to anyone. We went from old alarm to a wireless one. Richard came to discuss options-no pressure and we chose what we wanted. Appointment arranged for alarm to be fitted and Michael was a great guy and fitted new system with minimal mess. They will return to fit out external box and door sensor once our new front door and render is done. So glad we went with A1 Alarms

Michael at A1 Alarms supplied and fitted my new house alarm. He was polite, respectful and demonstrated an excellent understanding of the product he fitted. I found A1 through a Google search after moving house. Full rewire was needed and Richard quickly organised a visit to assess. The rewire took almost 3 weeks and the team made what I was expecting to be an extremely stressful time much less so. Michael, Paul and Jake were punctual and friendly and respected my home throughout. They checked in with me at every stage, allowing me to make small changes. They 'made good' as they went, meaning no hassle in finding a plasterer after the job was done. Fitted a dedicated Cooker circuit for us, extremely happy with the work. The two lads, Michael and Jake arrived on time, worked efficiently, were very friendly and polite, cleaned up after themselves and I think left the place tidier than when they arrived. Both Richard, during his initial visit for the quote, and Michael, the electrician, when changing the light fittings and installation of smoke / heat / carbon monoxide detectors, highlighted issues that had been overlooked by a previous electrician.
