ISSUE NOW RESOLVED. Ended up without solar generation for 7 weeks that had had a financial impact on me, no offer to compensate but after the stress of the situation just happy to move on. Truly thankful to those in the management team for resolving the issue and I appreciate your support. However the initial customer service support I received needs addressing especially as my issue arose within the 1st 6 months Disappointing post-installation support for a failed 6-month-old system. I had a Sunsynk system installed by Contact Solar in February 2026. Unfortunately, on 8th August, the panels stopped generating solar entirely. Despite trying basic resets, the system remains completely dead. Given the system is only six months old, I expected a prompt response. Instead, I was initially told to expect a 4-to-6-week wait just for an engineer to diagnose the issue, citing staff shortages and annual leave. After pushing back, I was told they would aim to get someone out by 28th August. Today 25th, I received an email confirming that an engineer cannot come out this week. Instead, they offered a vague window of “the week starting 15th September" without any fixed date or commitment. While the initial installation process went fine, the aftercare has been entirely unacceptable. Leaving a customer with a non-functional, brand-new system for well over a month without even being able to book a specific appointment date shows a serious lack of organisation and customer care. UPDATE, Kate from contact solar got in touch with me and arranged an engineer to come out sat 29th. This was cancelled that morning however the engineer did come Sunday 30th first thing. Unfortunately the panels are still not working and another appointment will be required to check them but this means scaffold will need to be installed again, which is less than ideal. However, Thankful that contact solar are now working to get this resolved

Honestly say that my experience with Contact Solar (EDF) was amazing. Initially I was a bit wary about going with a national company, rather than a local installer. Thinking that I'd be just joining the treadmill of installations with will or no regards for customer satisfaction. I couldn't have been more wrong - communication, documentation, openness and clarity was exceptional. Questions answer in minutes through email. Installation team were courteous, informative, and very friendly. Post installation with sign off of the work, Contact Solar working with our provider to transfer us onto our chosen tariffs and the all the support documentation was outstanding - would thoroughly recommend Contact Solar without ant reservation at all....

Initially I was not sure about solar but when finally making the decision to go ahead the whole experience with Contact Solar has been excellent. Our first contact was with Louie who is very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the process and steps involved as well as quickly resolving any queries or questions we had. Louie has been with us throughout and he is clearly a very kind man but we have also been impressed by all the people that we have met or talked with along this journey - we are really happy that we made this choice.

Fantastic Service and Delivery - Highly Recommend An amazing experience all around, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and generally quick to respond. They walked me through the entire process, explained the choices if we wanted to proceed and the process and time frames once i had confirmed i wanted to proceed. The entire process was excellent, the staff, service and delivery was excellent. The scaffolders were friendly, the delivery team were quick and efficient too. The follow on calls were great. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

We had very positive experience from them. We had ours installed at the end of June. My wife was very satisfied with the whole team, Tom, Karl, Frank, Ellie, Grace etc. everyone had been honest, prompt, polite and efficent. The system has been running fine for more than 3 months now without problem. Hope it will last.

Overall a positive experience so far, we have had 8 solar panels installed and two batteries. The install team were efficient and very tidy taking all their rubbish away. The installation of cables and equipment was very tidy and aesthetically good, they were here at 9.30am and had finished by 1.30. I had a good run through of the system with them, so all good there. The have been very prompt in responding emails and arranging he appointments for workman to arrive with clear notifications. The document side and contract handover so far has been very smooth and efficient. So overall a very good service. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars as one grumble i have is that i had to repeat what the surveyor said to their install team, as they were recommending we would have to dig a 1m trench through concrete for cabling in the garage, obviously not something we would want to undertake. I emailed and queried this, and they went back to the surveyor so the cable could be run over the top of a fence and down as previously recommended. Personally I would prefer to speak with someone about the final installation, instead they do rely heavily on emails moving you through separate teams for each stage, which I appreciate is more effective and speedy for a company this size.

From start to finish I can only say, Excellent 👍 we had other work taking place and contact worked with us and we eventually managed to fit a date in for installation. Super helpful in the office and great knowledge. Installation was completed in one day 14 panels, inverter and batteries. The three guys that came were a credit to the company. Worked all day and did a fantastic job. Thankyou guys👍

wanted to revert summer timer back to winter ones but encountered a problem once completed as no discharge back to grid in evening. They updated the timer & it worked as expected, responded on the same day so can't ask for a better response

This company collaborated with my energy supplier and offered me to become "solar". It went so far very well! They dealt with all bureaucracy and then I got the dates for the work. Once installed, I had loads of questions but their after-sales support is great as well. Very quick to get my live view of operation to my electronic devices, so I can check out now how it all works which is very nice in particular when you just got your new solar energy system. So as a summary, I am very pleased.

Thanks Contact Solar, you have made the process of solar panel installation very easy. All was completed quickly, with both electricians and scaffolders working professionally and politely throughout. There was one issue with the position of the meter box, but that was addressed without quibble. Would recommend highly.

Though initially delayed in install due to availability of scaffolding, when the install happened, it happened quickly and very smoothly. All round great team effort from all involved.

Contact Solar have been absolutely fantastic in supporting me since I moved into my new home. The solar system was originally installed by Contact Solar for the previous owner, so I wasn’t actually their original customer. Despite that, they couldn’t have been more helpful in getting me set up following the move. They provided me with all the relevant documentation relating to the original installation and have been extremely responsive in helping me troubleshoot and get the system fully back up and running. A particular mention has to go to Ben in Technical Support, who has been brilliant — knowledgeable, patient and incredibly helpful throughout. However, my experience with the whole company has been excellent. It’s particularly impressive to receive this level of aftercare when I wasn’t even the original customer. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Contact Solar. Excellent customer service and technical support.

Very professional with good communication throughout the installation

My batteries are three years old and stopped working. I contacted support and after a lot of back and forth (each reply takes 24 hours), Contact Solar concluded that I needed replacement batteries. While the batteries are still under warranty, the callout will cost £180 and will happen in 4-6 weeks. When in 4-6 weeks? We will call you in 4-6 weeks to let you know. Contact Solar really behaves like a utility and makes sure you know it.

From my first call, Contact Solar have been responsive, helpful and patient describing the process and issues I would need to consider. Once I had decided to appoint them to instal a battery the way forward was explained and they kept in regular contact. Installation went smoothly and I have not had any issues in my first week although they will continue to provide advice if needed. Recommended.

Contact Solar have done all our planning and installation of Solar panels and batteries at a very competitive price. During this period everything was done very professionally, though it took slightly longer as we live in a village. After installation the paperwork was done in record time and move over to EDF generation tariff is being handled by them. There has always been someone to talk to and help whenever needed. Highly recommended.

I sought quotes for solar panels and battery from many suppliers and wasn't satisfied with any of them. A neighbour recommended Contact Solar, having recently used them. Contact Solar was a breathe of fresh air. The sales person was friendly yet professional, and very open about the product. We agreed a very competitive price and a system providing the greatest generation capacity of all the quotes I received. The survey and istallation was straightforward with no surprises or unexpected charges. There was a minor miscommunication at one point but the response from the team in the office was exemplary and quickly resolved the issue. Based on my experience I will recommend Contact to friends and neighbours.

They were really helpful and explained everything in detail and never tried to push you into having solar or which battery have . i found that they made the process stressless as they were always there to help with any question i had .The two men who came to install the solar and battery were really nice and explained everything they were doing .

Absolutely delighted with our new solar panels. From start to finish, the company was professional, friendly and efficient. From the very start 'Contact Solar' have been helpful and communicated constantly to ensure confidence in their service. Their pricing is competitive and all of their staff are very positive, answering all of the inevitable questions that arise. The installation team have just left and they also were very professional. They also gave a 'walkthrough' of the system once completed. We've gone for two batteries (see photo). Originally we were going for 16 panels but two could not be installed due to existing obstacles on the roof. Contact Solar simply called to explain and knocked the cost off the final bill. An easy solution for everyone. All of the Follow-up and Handover process has been completed in the last hour. I'll be recommending Contact to anyone who is looking into Solar power. Contact Solar have been really easy to deal with from the start of my solar project to the finish. The staff and installers were all helpful and corrected issues as they arose. Ellie, Jack, Ciar and Grace were especially standout.

When we had solar installed, just under 5 years ago, Contact Solar were absolutely brilliant. The installation went without a hitch and although we had a couple of teething problems they were resolved quickly and with minimal fuss. Over the years we have had cause to contact them on a few occasions and the service was excellent. The service was so good we recommended them to friends looking for solar. That has all changed. Whether it's the take over by EDF I can only speculate but it does seem very coincidental. Our battery is not working as it should and I reported this to Contact Solar in June. The initial response was to reboot the system - funnily enough I'd already tried that without success. The problem would be referred to their engineers I was told. I chased for an update without response and had to resort to escalating the complaint. To cut a long story short we've paid for an engineer to do an on-site visit but we still haven't been contacted to arrange a date. Considering the summer we've had I hate to think how much not having a working battery has cost. Once upon a time I would have wholeheartedly recommended Contact Solar - now I would advise looking elsewhere and having looked at recent reviews it appears I'm not alone.

Absolutely first class service! Time from placing order, getting G99 process started, to completed instal was several months. But the work was very diligently and professionally completed. Technician was very neat, kept his work area clean and left everything spotless on completion. Sun Synk set up is fantastic, app is perhaps not as intuitive as it could be, but booked walk through / training with Contact Solar. All in all 10 out of 10!

The fitting was completed to a high standard and the fitters explained everything clearly, came on time and tidied up after themselves. After comparing many companies and coming across a few questionable ones I decided to place my 18 Panel, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Back Up Gateway 2 with bird protection order with contact solar. This was based on extensive research of Contact Solars reviews, accreditations and value for money. I had the pleasure of Dealing with Matthew as a first point of contact who managed to secure the package I was interested in for a very competitive price. I was then passed over to the Survey Team who visited sooner than expected. Carl surveyed the home and was extremely professionally and incredibly polite. After the lengthiest but understandable wait of the process due to the high demand at the moment I was then contacted by the scaffolding team who arranged the scaffold to be erected a week prior to installation. On the day of the installation I had what must have been contact solars top installation team turn up. They arrived promptly, professionally and had a good laugh throughout the day. Phil, Connor and Max are a credit to contact solar as they installed the system in about 8 hours, left no mess and everything was neat and tidy as I would expect for a project like this. Summary: I highly recommend Contact Solar if you're considering solar/batteries. Good value for money, professional, credible and efficient.

Excellent so far, the chaps who came worked really hard without a break and installed within a day. Very impressed so far.

Of the several shortlisted installers we considered these were one of the only two who listened, who juggled the various factors and came up with a solution with maximum gain and minimum drawbacks on the elevations of a difficult property. The equipment proposed was a good balance of cost and capacity and has proved to be able to perform at higher than specification in its first two months. The people are without exception (and including the scaffolding contractors who are often quite feral, these were civilised!) friendly, polite, tidy and happy to explain what they are doing. Even our guard cat approved. The company has some internal communication issues typical of a small company growing rapidly. Job sequencing is function based ('silo' is the fashionable word) rather single point of contact and there are minor 'misfires' and hiccups as others have noticed. Companies grow out of this, it's fairly common. The sheer 'personality' of the business makes up for it though it should be fixed for excellence! Paperwork and pricing including an insurance backed warranty were thorough and very competitive and a change arising half way through was easily dealt with. On paper and with a functioning system now installed definitely value for money. Would I recommend them? Yes with only that minor reservation, the need for tighter job management. A solid four and two thirds stars rounded up to five!

Contact Solar/EDF is a very professional company and a real pleasure to have dealt with them. They were very thorough at every stage of my journey into Solar energy, battery storage and electricity generation and to exporting the excess to the national grid. I had 16 x Aiko 480w, Sunsynk 7kw Inverter and 2 x Sunsynk 5.32kw Batteries installed, completed in January 2026. The performance is way beyond what I expected and I haven't had a Electric or Gas bill from February as the Solar energy Covers both bills and the export refund will more than cover the Winter bills. If you want to venture into Solar energy you wont find a better company than Contact Solar/EDF to get the job done. A big thank you to everyone of the team. Alan Young

Be careful and wide awake to Enter into a contract and sign a proposal. Because it doesn't matter to Contact Solar. I have entered into a contract with 10 panel(4,5kw) and birdprotection systenm. But finished with 9 panel and no bird Protection. Reason, they could not fit them . They didn't plan before entering the house to install. It doesn't matter to them, they can easily dishonor and force you to another system by reducing few pounds. You don't have choice. I ended up picking the bill to install bird protection at a very higher cost.

Contact Solar have been great throughout the process. Communication was good, installation was excellent and so efficient. The whole process has been really easy and stress free.

Contact Solar have been very efficient throughout the whole process of ordering through to installation. At any time I didn't feel under pressure and the install team worked so quickly to complete the install. Haven't got the export tariff up and running yet but if all other interactions are to go by I can't see any problems occurring.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I chose Contact Solar because of its association with EDF, expecting a professional, reliable service. Instead, I’ve experienced months of delays, poor communication, and constant chasing. I placed my order in February 2026 and, by July 2026, I still didn’t have a confirmed installation date. During that time, I sent a formal written complaint setting out the issues and requesting a resolution. That complaint wasn’t even acknowledged, let alone properly addressed. Rather than responding to the concerns I had raised, Contact Solar simply attempted to continue with arranging the installation as though the complaint didn’t exist. The delays also had a direct financial impact. I had ordered an electric vehicle on the reasonable assumption my EV charger would have been installed by then, leaving me to pay for public charging while waiting. When they finally responded to my complaint, the resolution offered was a £150 discount. Considering months of delays, poor communication, the repeated need to chase updates, and the additional costs I incurred, I found this to be an insulting gesture rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the matter. If I’d used a local installer, I’m confident the work would have been completed months earlier and probably at a lower cost. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Contact Solar. Poor communication, excessive delays, a lack of ownership when things go wrong, and an inadequate complaints process. I would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

From initial sales consultation to payment day, Contact Solar have been excellent. The communication has been consistent and regular throughout, the thirds parties used for scaffolding and installation were excellent, extremely professional, polite, tidy and helpful. I had put off getting Solar for so long but one call with Contact Solar convinced me to go ahead, no hard sell, no up sell, just an open conversation around my requirements and by the end of the call my questions were answered, the price was negotiated and I was convinced. Really fantastic job all round, I would highly recommend them.

Contact Solar (CS) acts with integrity, communicates effectively and clearly, and keeps to planned schedules. CS’s installation team discussed and suggested options for placements of main equipment and cable routing prior to commencement at site. They were quick, knowledgeable, pleasant and very respectful. We are extremely happy with how the whole process from quotation through to completion of installation and follow up call within 24 hours was undertaken.

From the very first conversation, it was clear that this was not just another company focused on making a sale. It is rare to find a company that delivers on its promises at every stage, but Contact Solar certainly did. Do not use if you are more than five minutes away. I bought a system back in 2023, and it's fine whilst it works, but Contact solar are poor on after service. One of my batteries has failed and rather than come out, they discussed it all by phone and then looked to use their contract terms to then decline a site visit. They also made claims about the subsequent installation of equipment, how they could make the claims based on just a few pictures is beyond me. Given a choice I would not use them again. To correct the reply from Contact Solar, the install date was November 2022. despite me asking, they have still not supplied the electrical installation paperwork.

Contact Solar installed my new solar array, and have been a fantastic support from beginning to end. Their staff are knowledgeable and responsive and I am very grateful for their efforts. An excellent company.

Great aftercare. Inverter needed a firmware update for latest features and it was done remotely very quickly. They have always been lovely.

Sunsync helpline engineers tried a couple of times the rectify a problem on my dashboard, with two different engineers giving me two different remedies. Everything they suggested failed, so in desperation I contact my installer - Contact Solar - and the problem was identified immediately. Simple fix by me and job done. Excellent work,as usual. Excellent experience from initial contact (Zach) to talk through options and to arrange the pre installation review to the review itself. This was followed with information on the findings of the review with recommendations of the number of panels and batteries to install (Ryan), to arranging the installation dates and details and answering my queries (Grace). Then the installation itself (Phil and Lloyd) who did a superb installation with all the equipment neat and tidy with no fuss or mess and a great attitude all day with a run through to make sure we were happy. Follow up calls happened straightaway to check we were happy and to talk through payment, guarantees, using the app and setting up the new tariff for us with EDF. Very professional from start to finish with both proactive updates and quick responses at all times. A great experience and highly recommended.

Installation was good, however don't expect any help after this. They only communicate via email, ignore requests for a phone conversation. And refuse to help on requests for adjustment to inverters after enquiries regarding reapplication to DNO. Which they refuse to do in our behalf. Ben has been useless in answering my queries only responding once per day via email which on a verbal communication could have been sorted immediately but has now taken over 10 days. Now they are threatening charges to adjust an inverter, which can be done remotely by TESLA. Appalling *Update* I had a phone call shortly after I posted this review. My questions were all answered and an apology was given. Then I was asked to take the review down. I am sorry but if this was the only way I got service then people should know. Regards.

Solar and Batteries installed by Contact Solar: I am really pleased with the process of getting solar panels and batteries installed at my property with Contact Solar. The quote was very competitive, with lots of advice and they even beat my other best quote. Contact Solar provide all the documents you required including MCS Certificate(required to export), DNO grid approval, NICEIC Certificate (building regs), Manuals and Schematic of system, HIES insurance, 2 years workmanship warranty. Along with all the applications and sorting out my SEG application, they have a call to go through the inverter application and settings so you understand and can ask any questions. I have contacted them since the install for a couple questions and they answered them the same day after reviewing the data from my inverter online. Lastly l, the instation team were fantastic, all the work is really neat and tidy. Even consulting on the day to make sure I was happy with everything they were doing. At the end of the day when they finished, they walked around and showed me all the components, how to use the system only leaving after checking I was happy.

Had a very useful half hour with Jack on the phone this morning. I had no idea how comprehensive is the solar system we have installed. Jack was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with and I am confident that we will gain a lot from our system.

Recently had a solar system installed and, up until the end, the service from Contact Solar was excellent. Unfortunately, a roof tile appears to have been damaged during the installation. The installation team blamed the scaffolding team, the scaffolding team blamed the installers, and Contact Solar initially suggested it was simply wear and tear. Given the minimal cost of replacing a tile compared to the overall installation, this response was disappointing and raised concerns about the level of customer support going forward. Update: The tile has now been replaced. Overall, the service has been excellent from start to finish. While the issue at the end was frustrating and could have been handled better, it has now been resolved. On that basis, this really should be a 5* review—but due to the handling of the final issue, I feel 4* is a fair reflection.

I had my isolator fitted today ready for my solar insulation. Chris the engineer was very good and was only here literally for 20 mins. He left no mess and was very efficient and very informative as to what he was doing.10/10 good communication and a quick tidy job done efficiently.

I have just had Contact Solar install a solar panel and battery system and am delighted with the result. They were very competitively priced and offer access to a great import and export tariff with EDF. The staff made the whole process seamless as as stress free as possible. Excellent work and good customer service. We were concerned about damage to the exterior of our house as it has recently been renovated with new rendering, cladding and composite decking. After very good communication from Contact Solar from the start in regards to the pre-install inspection we were informed the install team would arrive “close to 9am as possible”. They arrived at 8:54am and I walked them around the house explaining our concerns, which they listened to diligently. They worked non-stop from 9am and by 4pm by which time they had installed 20 solar panels, a battery and helped connect me to the system and walked me through how to use it. All was completed without any fuss, damage or complication. I would highly recommend Contact Solar if you are considering having solar panels installed, their communication is excellent and the install is of the highest standard.

It felt like it was all smiles and nothing was too much to ask… until they had my money. Now, I feel completely left on my own with a handful on unanswered issues and additional costs to which I feel I should not have to pay. I do not feel there was proper handling of my complaint either. I’ve even gone direct to EDF and all they do is push me back to Contact Solar. I thought I was getting some reassurance by going with a company connected to EDF. Boy was I wrong. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I wouldn't recommend at all absolutely dreadful to deal with. 1st instance was installation off panels and we were left with a leaking roof which we had to get sorted. When installation was taking place we had 4no battery storage for the solar which were a expensive addition to complete our needs. 3 years on all 4 batteries have failed due to overheating which the engineer told us they were to tightly packed together. The batteries stopped working in June and to this date they haven't even been picked up for them to be examined so they can replace with new ones . Customer service just seems to go round and round when trying to sort out all off our problems

Existing Customer:I recently changed my Wi-Fi provider, and unfortunately my unit hasn’t been able to connect to the new network. This issue has been ongoing for weeks, and so far the only support option has been through email, which hasn’t resolved things yet. For customers who are considering switching Wi-Fi providers, please be aware that the unit may not come back online easily after the change.

Not a great experience! Lots of false promises made when I placed my order for 3 solar batteries, the installation date put back a number of times. Finally, the day before the installation I was told that the specification that was ordered would not be possible! No apology given!!! Very disappointing and frustrating!

Fantastic from start to finish things moved quickly from initial first conversation about a system for my house was kept mostly up to date with everything that was going to happen agreed on a price survey done more panels added scaffolding went up really quick a week later the installation team were here and fitted it that day a week later scaffolding was down and job was done . A great plus and one of the reasons I went with contact solar was I was already with edf and they did everything filled out all the forms sorted all the solar stuff out and got in touch with edf to set up my tariff and export that should go live very soon . So all in all I would definitely recommended contact solar they just did everything for you and that was what I wanted as I didn't have a clue about what to do fantastic job.

Seemed very knowledgeable and helpful at first and gave me a good quote but stated that I would have to get a ground rod installed myself, I eventually after struggling got a quote from a local electrician for the ground rod, I was ready to go with them and then I was phoned by someone else from contact solar and told that contact solar would install a ground rod, great I thought, won’t have to mess around, then I was told again they wouldn’t, then again they would, I was then re-quoted for over £2 grand more than the original quote and told they won’t honour the original quote as it was wrong and it was done by an inexperienced member of staff, the whole experience was confusing and overall a poor experience. I would have gone with them at first but it then got really poor when the other salesman got involved, if they don’t know what they are doing at the quote stage what is the rest going to be like!

I was with another supplier and only contacted Contact Solar for a comparative quote for a PV and battery system. The quote was very competitive and everything was explained clearly. After giving the go ahead, things happened smoothly and quicker than initially indicated which was good. The installation team was excellent and did a good handover. The only aspect less than ideal was the removal of the scaffolding, they arrived at 7.30 on Saturday, with no notice given. I stress they were not Contact Solar team but contracted. So, overall I would highly recommend Contact Solar. Their parent EDF is a different matter, slow to respond, gave unclear instructions to commission a smart meter (had to do it myself when the engineer who installed it should have done the full job). And the engineer who did come out, twice, was surly and dismissive. "I dunno, you'll have to call EDF" seemed to be a standard response.

Had the system for 1 year now, no complaints, team are great from initial quote to install. Amazing service. Went for 22 panels and 2 battery's with a car charger. We now have 2 electric cars with a combined mileage of 25000 miles, charge the cars with octopus at night very cheap along with the battery's this means most of the electric produced during the day is export. Overall I predict that I will have 0 electric cost, which will include charging our cars and covering 25000 miles. So they payback is very quick on the system, less than 4 years. Very happy.

I had my system installed 11 months ago and pretty much left it alone. I got to thinking of changing settings as the darker days approach and got very confused with the app. As a consequence, following an email seeking guidance, Tom arranged a telephone appointment with me for today and all is now well in my solar world. His manner and temperament are first class, his knowledge of the system and app are fantastic, he is a true credit to Contact Solar. Thanks Tom.

I accepted a proposal from Contact Solar on 22nd July 2025. The surveyor visited on Monday, 4th August 2025 and promised that they would call back to finalise the design of my installation on Thursday 7th August 2025. As at today, 12th August 2025, I have heard nothing definite. When I queried this clear surveying delay with Contact Solar, I was told disappointingly that "unfortunately myself or the surveys team would not be able to provide any updates, due to you being with another department." Because of this, I decided to cancel my order. This appears to be a company that leaves the customer in the lurch over how their order is progressing and I would therefore avoid Contact Solar for their inability to communicate clearly and to keep to the promised timetable.

Great Customer Service. I needed assistance when changing on to the EDF Empower Tariff. Stefano from the Support Team spen 1.5 hours talking me through the changes and guiding me through every part of the App and Portal configuration. Thank you Stefano :)

From first contact to the final sign off the whole process and the service I received was excellent. All contractors, which include the isolator fitter, surveyor, scaffolders and the panel fitters, all arrived on time and completed their task quickly and effectively. The fitters were very efficient and my installation was done in a day. They even put the inverter and batteries in my attic, which was a hot and stuffy space to work in on a very warm day. All the phone contacts knew their stuff and i felt no pressure to accept anything additional, but I did add an additional battery! I was very happy with the overall price too, considering everyone involved. I found Contact Solar through EDF who are my energy supplier.

This was the third solar system we have had installed by Contact Solar. The process is so easy. You ask for a quote; they advise how many panels they can fit on your roof and the size of battery. When you are ready, they arrange for scaffolding, they install and show you what you need to know. They then provide all the paper you need to apply to your energy provider so you can send surplus energy to the grid. The install is very professional, looks and functions great. My experience with contact solar was great no issues whatsoever

Contact solar have been really good from start to finish. I was happy with the deal but the communication and then speed at which the work was scheduled in after the scaffolding went up was really quick (next working day I think). The scaffolders were professional and the team doing the install were excellent. It was terrible weather conditions but they just pushed on through. They ended up coming back because half of the panels they had noticed had a scratch on them - which they had picked up on. They finished the job 2 days later in about an hour and a half and I’m really happy with the result. The cabling and work is really neat and the system is generating a lot. Very happy with everything.

Went with Contact Solar after recieving a lot of calls from other companys. The offer was clear and the benefits were convincing enough to go forward with the installation. I have 12 panels.. one inverter.. and a two battery storage system. The team organised the scaffolding..the installers were there bright and early even though we are located some distance from their base... They did a good job in an impressive time...They explained the running of the system and set my phone app to monitor it's performance.. I can say that in the first two weeks my old house meter has used 15 Kwh.. meaning the the solar panels and batteries are providing the rest.. and giving some back to the grid... all shown clearly on my App. So with the sunny days we have had recently.. the system is working brilliantly.

I had Contact Solar install my solar system in June 2024 and it has been working well and efficiently. I was talked through on how to set up the App and use it after installation, but unfortunately, I did not use it much then. I now need to control how I export electricity and manage my battery, and other issues, so I got in touch with Contact Solar for advice. I was put in touch with Antonia their technical know all who patiently took me through all the processes on the app explaining everything slowly and clearly as well as throwing in a lot of tips at the same time. She did not rush things and made sure I was comfortable with all the information/knowledge she was giving me. It was a lot to take in, but she backed it up by sending me the information by email as well. She also contacted me later to find out how I was getting on and that I could contact her if I required any further help. I would like to mention that everyone I had contact with in Contact Solar have been helpful, understanding, knowledgeable and professional in their dealings with me. This company sets the bar high for customer service and I can honestly say is one of the best companies I have dealt with in a very long time. From the initial contact, consultation, through to installation and continued after sales service I felt that I was their first priority. There were hiccups concerning specific electrical requirements before installation. Although not Contract Solar's responsibility they were able to offer help, advice, and solutions. In addition to the amazing staff employed, another bonus is the ability to speak to them over the phone which speeds up the entire process. The various stages are discussed and then confirmed by email with any necessary documentation. Additional training is also offered on the app downloaded to monitor the system. We really cannot fault the service we have received from Contact Solar throughout the process of getting our solar system installed. Right from the word go, their customer service has been exemplary. There was no pressure on us following our initial enquiry - simply a genuine effort to make sure that the system was right for us. We were able to discuss the various options open to us and get clear, objective advice to ensure that we got a suitable installation and the best value. The initial quotation was highly detailed, with estimates of the savings we were likely to accrue. We were told that Contact preferred to be conservative with their estimates of system efficiency and even 24 hours in, this appears to be the case. When the scaffolding was installed, prior to installation, the company were kind enough to point out that there were some problems with our roof. They showed great flexibility in delaying the installation so that these issues could be corrected - really excellent customer service. The installation itself was completed in a day and we are impressed at how neat everything looks - the installers are clearly very good at their jobs. Again, the installation team have been in close contact throughout, providing helpful advice and even taking forward the change to a new electricity tariff, so that we can export energy to the grid. The team at the end of the phone deserve a special mention. They are friendly, quick, efficient and knowledgeable, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Highly recommended by us!

We have had solar panels fitted since February 2025. They were fitted by Contact Solar and the experience from ordering to installing was excellent and smooth. After spending a lot of time obtaining quotes and speaking with several companies. We settled on Contact Solar to supply and fit our Solar array with battery. Through out the process, Contact Solar kept up full informed and looked after all the paperwork and switching tariff that included a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG). Contact Solar installation team were exceptional. Despite being a man-down the Team of 2 worked like troopers to install our Solar Panel system, Power-bank, EV Charger and all associated equipment. They were both professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. They worked a very long day to complete the job and tided up after themselves. I've recently (last week) had the installation of solar panels from Contact Solar - everything from the scaffolding team through to he install team on my roof to the people behind the scenes in the office has been amazing. I'm a bit annoyed that they couldn't control the weather though, as that month of unbroken sunshine ended the day after my panels went up - however, I'm still getting free power, fully charging my battery and able to sell excess back to the grid. I'm delighted:-)

The panels were installed Dec 2021. Very quick and neat job. Everything has been working well. I was told recently by my elctricity supplier that I could arrange to charge the batteries overnight at cheap tariff and use the battery power during the day instead of the from the grid at the higher tariff. Antonia at Contact Solar was brilliant today, explaining all the graphs of the system's performance on the app, and showing me how to get the batteries to charge overnight for even better efficiency and to reduce my electricity bill. The whole process started with a relaxed, no pressure discussion over the phone with Christian. The sales approach was calm, open and there was no pressure to proceed unknowingly. I postponed for a few months, did more research and dropped Christian an email. We discussed the Tesla Powerwall 3 and 14 x 450w panels. Contact Solar quoted and gave me time to think over the proposal. I received other quotes, but felt that the sales approach was pushy, impersonal and they tried to sell me a system I didn't want or had never heard of. Contact Solar were the exact opposite. I signed the proposal and Contact Solar submitted the G99 to National Grid. Weeks later, this was approved and a home visit booked. Another week, scaffolding was erected and the Powerwall 3 system was installed today. The installation is very tidy and the team installing the system were excellent, helpful and polite. The work was high quality (see photo), not rushed and everything explained. I am currently running the whole house off the Tesla Powerwall and feeling very smug! For those cautious, don't be. Contact Solar have been excellent at every stage. They even matched Octopus Energy's price on BlackFriday even after I accepted their initial quote. The only negative I had is that I considered a car charger but the request much have gotten mixed up between departments. It wasn't a big issue and I didn't chase it (I can charge at the train station). If you want to add one, make sure you include it at the start of the process to avoid confusion.

We had an array of solar panels installed, with a battery system by Contact Solar (12 months ago). The experience in dealing with the company has been nothing but positive. Excellent initial consultation process to ensure we installed the most appropriate system with capital costs clearly explained (no pressure selling) at a competitive price, followed by a well-organised and efficient install with Sunsynk batteries and online monitoring app. On a couple of occasions when our online connection has gone down (power cuts etc) there has been excellent and friendly advice on the end of a phone to get the Sunsynk monitoring up and fully running very quickly. So a date is given, cars cleared, pets held inside along with other prep work!, so they turn up late, do half the job and go! Try calling them , have to hang on the phone for ages, and they don't really know what's going on! start to have large doubts about the whole company!

Update March 2025 Matt came and sorted the roof tile in less than 10 minutes. It had been a communication breakdown within the office that had led to the long delay in getting it resolved but Contact Solar were apologetic. I had sent numerous emails and had called so I'm unsure what else I could have done to help the situation along but all sorted now. Update Feb 2025. Post installation I saw that a tile had been broken,as this is a new build I know it was during install. I raised this with the team and they were very apologetic and said someone would be out to fix it. This was over 4 months ago,the tile has now completely split apart. I'm now having to chase them. It feels as though aftercare support is a second thought which is a pity as the initial service was great. Reduced to 2 stars. Original Review From the start Contact Solar were fantastic. Calum did my online survey and supported me excellently with all the questions I had. Matt did the installation of 12 panels and a battery in a day and was so professional. Then Grace conducted the handover and covered off everything. UPDATE: More fantastic help from Antonia today in the support team. After a broadband switch which disconnected all my smart tech in the house, but also my Sunsynk inverter connection. Antonia took the time to talk me thru how to reset my WiFi connection to the inverter dongle, but also raised a ticket with them for any Firmware updates. Got of to a bad start let down twice for smart meter install, but after that brilliant the gentleman who came to fit the inverter and battery was first t class clean and tidy. But the icing on the cake was Antonia by far the best customer service I have ever come across she explained how everything worked so throughly nothing was to much trouble any question I asked was was answered so polite an employee you should be proud of.

If you are thinking of solar panels i can recommend contact solar, the whole process has been very smooth. A nice neat job and the office staff kept me informed at each stage of the process and even sorted out the paperwork with the grid and our supplier (thank you Lauren) and the app shows us what we are generating. It is satisfying to see a zero grid usage on the smartmeter when the electric heating and the washing machine is on.

Really impressed with the service received from contact solar and the installation team. At planning stage the contact solar team were easily contactable and responded to our emails within a day. The installation team were fantastic, three lads from Wakefield, before the job started we walked down the house and locations for installation, they gave me a chance to share any concerns and to point out were I wanted cable runs. At one point they even offered to go to the hardware store to purchase white cable ducting to match the ducting on my distribution boxes, I didn't take them up on the offer but again just demonstrates the level of service. Upon completion of the work they took me around the set up, pointed out what they had done and were they had routed the system, the lad who had installed the solar panels was particularly impressed with the layout of the panels, equal to the roof and in line with the roof peaks which to be fair does look good. Overall I would recommend using Contact solar, the set up I have is fab, looks really good and overall I'm impressed with the service.

We enquired about getting solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed in our new home and we were contacted by one of their specialists, Matthew Clark, in order to determine our requirements and to give us an overview of the whole process. Matt was a god send. He took us through the process informing us of everything that was needed along with our options. We also went to Octopus for a quote but their sales people were lacking and took days to respond and failed to send us our quote (After we called them after a week the quote amazingly appeared in our inbox). However, Matt of Contact Solar was there within 30 minutes each time we had a question and quotes were provided within an hour of putting the phone down. We decided to go with contact Solar due to Matt and the support we got from him and I hope it continues (With EDF) throughout the life of our pending solar system. Well done Matt and EDF.

After spending £26,000 on solar panels being promised the world, it was supposed to generate 25kwh. I currently get 1-2kwh at best which doesn’t run anywhere what I need for my business. Complete waste of money and I wish I never did it now. The whole process was a disaster from Damian lying through phone calls being a typical salesman. Also tried installing less panels than what was agreed, only got rectified becuase I climbed up the roof to check and was around 10 panels short !!

My experience with Contact Solar has been faultless, from calling in to get a quote to the installation and sorting out all the paper work. My system comprises of 15 panels, 1 hybrid inverter, 2 batteries and a few bits between them. The system has been running for just over a week now and although autumn weather means minimal generation, I can already see the difference in numbers. The staff at Contact Solar have been great. I could mention many names but that would do an injustice to the one or two names I miss out. Even the minor hitches were promptly sorted out, once the office was notified of the hitch. I highly recommend this company and their team.

Although the system of panels and batteries, has only been operative for 1 month, I am amazed at the savings, that will accrue over time, and this is during short wintery days in November. ! The response time , whether by phone or email, is second to none, and it has always been possible to speak to someone during office hours, and this cannot be said for some of their competitors. I have no hesitation in recommending Contact Solar, they have exceeded my expectations.

Spent a lot of time researching solar installs, and received a number of quotes from various companies before settling with Contact Solar. The assistance from start to finish was great, the installation is very tidy and the post install assistance has been equally good. Its a big financial commitment, and contact solar offered the best complete package that ticked all the boxes I could possibly think of after research, and definitely puts a big question mark over some of the other quotes and things I was told beforehand from other companies.

From the quote and initial checks to the installation, and the customer services teams I have found the whole Contact Solar team to be fantastic. Everyone has been professional, polite and quick to help. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you want professional guaranteed work.

Mason and Jack arrived at 10.00 and had finished the complete installation at 3.00pm the same day. They worked none stop needed servicing with just two cups of coffee. They identified the best place to install the connecting box (outside) and made best use of the small space available in our attic for the invertor and battery. Great workers and a credit to Contact Solar. The system is working fine and we can already see that we are saving money by drawing current from the battery. Antonia of Contact Solar did an excellent job talking me through how to read the logging app. I highly recommend Contact Solar.

Had a positive experience with this installer, eveything was installed to a high standard, 8 mobths on and not had any issues and if I have had queries they have been answered promptly by their support team. Their assigned installer Matt and his team did a great job.

The sales process was very informative and answered all our questions. We were given time to decide which system would work best for us and it came within our budget. Once we decided to go ahead the scaffolding was erected care being taken to entry and exits from home and garage. A week later the installation took place. The installer discuss with us how and where we wanted the batteries and inverter putting, excellent communication throughout the installation and similarly with the office staff. After the installation the following day all the scaffolding was removed. It was a very professional operation from start to finish and we can definitely highly recommend Contact Solar. Obviously now looking forward to saving on our electricity bills 😀

They contacted me after I asked for a quote. Discussed the property using google satellite view with which roof space would be suitable for solar panels. They said they would send a quote across and follow up a week later with a call to discuss. The call came just over a week later, but no quote was sent. They apologised and said a quote would be sent over as they had a problem with the quoting system last week. A week later and still no quote sent over. I've decided to look at other companies now as I've had no information from them after 2 calls, and will probably end up getting another call soon to discuss their non-existent quote. Update: Upgraded from 1 star to 3 stars. They have been in touch again after the quote was sent through about an hour after me posting my review. They have apologised and have talked me through the quote and process. I'm now at the stage of deciding between Contact Solar and one of the other quotes that I started after my initial review. Will update the review again once we've either progressed with Contact Solar or decided on a different installer.

First class from start to finish. The sales person Calum was very knowledgeable and helpful, able to answer any questions. The installation chap Jamie was excellent and friendly and did a very tidy job. The ongoing support is superb, with Antonia calling frequently to check how things are going, answering any questions and remotely tweaking things if I ask her to. If only all companies were as good as this!

Contact Solar installed my system over 2 years ago and when I was having trouble with my Sunsynk App I was concerned they may not be interested. Far from it, I spoke to Antonia in their Reception Team, who after a few questions diagnosed the problem. She then sent me the instructions to resolve the issue offering to phone me back if I had any problems. Being a technophobe I did and she was true to her word and phoned me back exactly when she said she would and patiently, professionally and pleasantly guided me through the process taking time and trouble doing so until it was up and running again. As a result I can not praise Antonia highly enough or my experience of Contact Solar's customer aftercare service.

Matt has just completed the installation of my Solar Panel system and ran me through the system, its controls and the information/paperwork I was to receive from the office regarding, the system monitoring App, MCS certificates, warranties etc. The whole installation, including the panels, inverter, batteries, meter, cabling etc have been carefully and swiftly installed to leave me with a very neat system that is already, even on this very dull day, meeting the current house load and also charging the batteries.. Matt also tided up before he left. This professional approach was matched by the surveyor who came to confirm the installation design, the scaffolders who came the day before the installation and the Contact Solar office staff who handled my initial enquiry, kept me informed of progress, answered my every question and, post installation, have provided me with additional information regarding the App, SEG tariff, warranties and MCS certificate. We have just used Contact Solar to fit a PV system at home. From first contact to the after sales service the team have been outstanding and professional. I bought a solar & battery plant from Contact Solar almost 2 years ago and have been very happy with the results. It includes a Sunsynk hybrid inverter that is very flexible & configurable. Changing settings allows me to maximise the electricity I export while keeping my batteries topped up.Ongoing Customer Service is excellent, even today I had a short tutorial from Antonia that showed me how to configure the plant to take advantage of the recent offers from Octopus for free electricity certain times of the day. She was very helpful & patient, walking me through all of the relevant settings.

Very happy with the service with Contact Solar, from the first contact through to when my solar panels have been installed. I spoke to various people at different stages in my journey and they were all very helpful. The companies they used for scaffolding and installation were also excellent. Would recommend them to anyone embarking on the solar panel journey. Update - I have had solar panels for about 2 years now. Antonia at Contact Solar has been an excellent personal contact for the few niggles I've had (including a new hub from EE which disconnected me from my solar panel app). Solar panel installation completed today. Took about 5 weeks from start to finish. Solar Contact have been brilliant all the way through, managing all aspects of the design and installation brilliantly. All I had to do was sign the check! The back office people were great - really friendly and explained what was going on all the time. The guys on the installation team were especially good, being friendly and always willing to explain what was going on. They made a really good tidy job of things, despite some trying circumstances. The handover was also really good, with Contact Solar providing all the help and information necessary to set things up - even for someone with as little experience as me. Time will tell whether or not this is a good investment, but that won't be the fault of Contact Solar who have been friendly, courteous and quick to respond to queries throughout. I certainly have no complaints about how they have handled the job and how professional they have been.

What an amazing company; very rare to find such great service in this day and age! . Every single member of the contact solar team I’ve interacted with has been completely professional, as well as being genuinely lovely people. My roof provided many challenges, which were all dealt with, quickly and effectively. The added peace of mind of warranties for equipment and workmanship are great to have but hopefully won’t be needed. The tie-in with a very good EDF tariff sealed the deal for me.

My Solar were put on 17/04/24. I had great experience ( apart from 2 little humps )with a team at contact solar especially with Stephen , Stuart , Grace , Tanya and James . Panels were Put on by Matt white a decent experienced guy who had over 15 years of experience . Neat and clean Job was solely by him about in 5 hours . Company works on 100 % trust basis . No upfront payment was demanded . All the money was paid after the completion of job with 100 % customer satisfaction . I normally don’t leave review but I Would highly recommend them.

My choice of Contact Solar was purely down to previous reviews and confidence in the individuals we spoke to. We have not been let down at all. From Dominic the first contact and Solar specialist, Lawrence the surveyor, the support staff (Grace), scaffolders and the panel and Inverter/battery fitters. Above and beyond every one of them. Perfect experience from start to finish! **I have 12x Jinko panels, 1x 5kWh Sunsynk Inverter and 2x 5.3kWh Sunsynk batteries installed** After getting a number of quotes from various companies I quickly realised there were a lot of sharks and hard-sell solar companies out there but Contact Solar were fantastic start to finish. Initial survey was done remotely and they happily talked me through the options and some rough costs (and these costs came down several times during as they found ways to get me a better install for less money!). Then I had a in person survey where they took me through the install and options as well as a chat about potential cable runs ect, once agreed I had scaffolding installed within 2 weeks and about 10 days later the panels, inverter and battery installed in a single day. The install was great and the guys took me through everything and offered a number of options for cable runs to keep things neat and tidy. The handover by the installers was detailed and the paperwork and instructions left on the kit were detailed but clear. The handover by the office was also very good including the warranty details and I did not pay a penny until after the system was installed and completed. If you are looking for a solar solution please do you due diligence but whatever you do make sure you get a quote from Contact Solar they were the perfect professionals and thousands of pounds cheaper than the rest of the quotes I had for the same or worse setups!

Just had an installation of solar panels by contact solar. The process from the initial point of contact and to the day of installation was very smooth. They keep in regular contact throughout. The team of installers were excellent , had a good laugh with them. They were quick, clean and professional. Just had my Solar and battery installation done by Contact Solar. 12 panels, 5 kw hybrid inverter and 5 kw battery. The scaffolding was put up a few days before Matt the installation guy turned up with all gear. I found Matt was very knowledgeable and efficient at his job, answered any questions I had. I also have been very pleased with all the different people I have spoken to on the phone at the different stages that’s needed to get the job done. After a couple of scrapes with “sharky” companies, we contacted Contact Solar as we were in the market for quite a big install. I have to admit, we’re were a bit sceptical! We spoke initially with Geoff who immediately put us at ease, I liked not only his manner, but his polite and professional approach. He certainly knew his stuff as well. We arranged a survey which was sorted within a couple of weeks. We then agreed a price (very reasonable) and a tentative installation date. Throughout the whole process, the communication was excellent. The whole team there were also very polite and you could tell are happy in their jobs. Yesterday was our I install date, the guys turned up bang on time (after driving all the way ftom Gretna Green) and worked their socks off until around 7pm last night. The standard of workmanship is excellent (as you can see from the pics) All in all a great company, they really made the whole experience a delight. I would certainly recommend to anyone. Contact Solar rescued us from the shipwreck of First4Solar (Tanrec) who went receivership at the start of may. After waiting months with F4S it was fair to say we felt a bit sceptical but how wrong we were. After posting a website message on the F4S site on 18th May saying they would be in touch, I received a call on Monday 22nd from a lovely man call Geoff (thanks Geoff) and fully installed system went live on 13th July, just 6 weeks after that initial website notification. Even though F4S clearly went bust because they were over promising, Contact Solar matched the system specifications for the same price even though I’m sure this was part of the reason F4S got into trouble in the first place. Their communication was prompt and consistent throughout and I always knew exactly what was going on. Scaffolding went up on the day agreed and the installation took place as planned. There was a slight delay due to a mix up of components but even this was resolved with complete openness and professionalism. Scaffolding was also taken down as promised just 7 days after it went up. The handover was smooth with all the required documentation being provided with 48hrs on completion and their support communication since has also been great even though my questions have probably been annoying. In short, I can only say that the stellar reviews on Google are clear hard earned and well deserved, and in an industry currently blighted by dodgy, quick-buck making cowboys, Contact Solar deserve their reputation and success. UPDATE 10th May 2024 Just wanted to post an update after nearly a year of being a Contact Solar customer and to absolutely reinforce that these folks are all about long term support and customer service, and not just making that initial installation. On a number of occasions when I was finding my feet with our system, the Contact Solar team were responsive, supportive and patient, with communication always prompt. Even better, when we needed some help after a different company installed an EV charger (perfectly well done I should add), they arranged a video call to talk me through a simple relocation of the CT clamp (which monitors power flow) so that our EV charger can operate properly with the Octopus Intelligent Go tariff, without drawing power from our home batteries. They didn’t have to do this, the EV charger was not their responsibility, but they did so absolutely willingly and for free, within a matter of days. The technician Joseph Dawson was super helpful and a great representative for Contact Solar. Fantastic company.

Excellent. I was a customer of First4Solar. When it went out of business Contact Solar took over its outstanding orders, and offered to do the work for the same price as quoted by F4S. In fact they not only matched the price, they improved the specification; and did it for the outstanding price, minus the deposit. So it was excellent value, and very considerate of them. I'm absolutely delighted with the service, the process and the end result. The only slight downside was that it took quite a long time to get the paperwork for setting up export; but that's all done now (with Octopus) and working well. The company responded quickly to all my queries, both before and after the fitting (and paying). The fitters were brilliant. Not only did they work very efficiently and neatly, but they came up with a much better solution for positioning the batteries and inverter. And the cable routings were also very well thought through; practically invisible in fact. They started at about 0830; they had it all completed and tidied up by 1530. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this company. UPDATE May 2024. Batteries stopped working. Entirely my fault as I'd changed some settings to fit with a new Octopus tariff for summer. But I couldn't work out what I'd done, so I called Contact. They were brilliant - within a few seconds they'd located the issue remotely, and talked me through changing it back. (I'm an idiot but they very kindly didn't mention that...)

The entire process from quote, through survey and finally to installation has been absolutely perfect. Everyone has been friendly, helpful and great at their jobs. I couldn’t be happier with the installation today, it was completed in an unbelievably short amount of time, to a great standard and I am about as satisfied as it’s possible to be. Could not be a better service if they tried from initial contact, Quote, Survey, Scaffolders then Installation which took around half a day to complete and commission the guys came from Croydon and wasted no time once entering the house. As requested they agreed with the internal routing for the cables which took 3/4 hr so carpet back down quickly then fastening, same time one was fitting Inverter and Battery whilst the third person James was fitting the sleek low profile panels to the roof and connecting the feed through under the tiles. Absolutely no sign they have been in the house, James explained the App, The Warranty, how the connections work and how to turn off if making new circuits or updating old then waited for connection confirmation. Second day the safety certification and legal bits were sent through so now need to connect to Octopus.

Contact Solar installed our system and EV charger yesterday (09/04/2024). All the office staff have been courteous and helpful throughout. I take my hat off to the three guys that installed our system, they worked really hard and did an excellent job. I did a lot of research before going with Contact Solar and I feel that I made the right decision. Only time will tell in relation to the system and charger but I have no reason to doubt that it will be fine.

The installation team arrived on team and explained exactly what was going to happen. They discussed the siting of the battery and invertor to make sure everything was exactly where we wanted it. They worked quickly and efficiently and kept everywhere as tidy as possible during the installation. All rubbish was removed from site and the areas they had been working in were cleaned. The team were friendly and professional throughout the install and happy to answer any questions we had. When the install was completed they ran through exactly how everything worked and what would happen next. The office followed up shortly after the team had left to explain how to set up the app and the documents that I would be receiving. what can I say only good thing is we don't have issues with system. They installed panels at our property 2022 after few months we had a leak at the back of the house because the contractors(Roger budge LTd) left the tile up ,came out to fix it said that they checked everything no more tiles left up ,we trusted them didn't claim for damage done in our bedroom because it needed refreshing done anyway. Last year had another leak but this time other side of the house what done a lot off damage . When we had actually leak I hired roofer because I thought it's our roof fault when he done inspection the was another tile left up so I informed contact solar the same day. Tried to resolve with them this situation from November had some quotes from builders about the repair cost (been ask from contact solar to get some) Then they said its a lot, what's needs doing. Then they sent there guy in to have a look and take photos . Then after another week came Dave from Roger budge to take some more photos his words :you can just patch it up. After a week they said they will claim true insurance company and tried involve my insurance company (trick us)so I claim from them. Then on 5th of march I asked them for evidence that they actually sent to insurance company and from that day no reply from them. They damage our house where we had fabulous water damage marks and mould growing (and we have two young children at home and one is toddler). If you want some repairs and mould and water damage and company who don't give a dam.definitely go for Contact Solar and Roger budge LTd. You will get "The best experience" with them !

Brilliant from Start to Completion I found Contact Solar whilst browsing online for storage batteries over the weekend (3/4 Feb). I completed an online quotation form and immediately got an email saying one of their sales advisors would give me a ring. Dominic a sales advisor from Contact Solar phoned me on the Monday morning (5 Feb) and was happy to explain the solar storage system. He also enquired about my existing solar panels. I asked for a quote, which I received within a few hours via email. Dominic provided me with two quotes based on our telephone discussion and provided some background information about Contact Solar Ltd, their 12-year history, the equipment they sold, warranties, no home visits by sales reps, no monies up front, and their accreditations which were all positives to me. I followed up Dominic’s email with further questions and provided him with performance figures based on my existing solar panels which I didn’t have at hand when he contacted me via phone. He responded very quickly suggesting what he would do based on the good performance figures that I had provided. He also happily answered all my other questions. After further research I eventually decided to place an order with Solar Contact, on Wednesday (7 Feb), and I emailed Dominic with my decision to proceed. Dominic phoned me later to inform me that my order had been placed and another team would be in contact to confirm my requirements. He also said it would take approximately 4 weeks before the installation could be carried out. The following Tuesday (13 Feb), I received a phone call from Solar Contact informing me that they had the equipment for my installation and could install the following day, if okay with me. I agreed and Tim (Electrical Engineer) arrived the following day at 9:00am prompt to commence the work. On completion he guided me through the installation and explained everything he had done, explaining that I would receive a follow up from the company with technical support. Tim was very professional and a tidy worker. The whole process from enquiry to installation as well as technical support provided by the hand over team was very easy and without any pressure from anyone. I would highly recommend Contact Solar, everyone I communicated with (Dominic, Tim & the technical support team) were extremely helpful and very professional.

We needed to upgrade our EPC for a house we rent out and began to shop around for Solar Power because it gave a huge return in terms of generating our own power and reducing electricity bills and and also helped raise our EPC to a D rating. Shopped around and found one company who came out and gave us a quote that initially we were happy with. It soon became apparent the other company total bill was going to be nearly £14,500 for a x16 375w panel system with no battery (was going to be just 14 panels, but for "one day only they could special offer 16 panels at the 14 panel price" !). We talked with other local solar owners who were horrified at the price we had been given and urged us to shop around more....Thank goodness we did. Spoke with Geoff at Contact Solar and all was made really easy and we were quoted just under £9000 for x16 385w panel system with a battery, more powerful than first company. Arrangements to install made straight forward, there was a couple of timing changes. The team arrived on a Sunday, we had agreed this...but the weather just drizzled rain onto the guys all day. They ploughed on and completed the job. The wiring is neat and clipped to the attic structure nicely. The equipment is set logically and tidy. They left the house tidy. Importantly they wore masks when in the property, which was a relief to our tenants there. I did hope we would get instant monitoring feedback via a phone app but apparently this is comes when payment made. At time of writing this review that permission may have been granted already. The process could not really be simpler. The team at Contact Solar were flexible and understanding about our financing and a great help. Sincerely and genuinely highly recommend them.

I had solar panels and two storage batteries fitted yesterday by Conatct Solar. the experience has been first rate from my first contact, the quotation process, the survey visit and then the installation. the two installers Wayne & Shane were excellent, and their work was very neat and tidy, and they were happy to talk me through the system. i would recommend them as an a really good company to use for a solar installation.

We selected Contact Solar from their reviews and they were easily the best of the 3 Company's we had quotes from (professionally and personally) - we have not regretted it. The whole process was as good as it could be - helpful, not pushy, only billed when everything has been built, proven and working. The photos were taken just as the build finished so the scaffolding has yet to be removed (it stays for a bit in case of any problems). The other is of the 2 batteries and inverter in the garage - super cool. The staff on the phone, the site visit, the build team - all were polite, really efficient and also friendly. It's mid winter but the system is already working surprisingly well. All in all, an excellent experience. Thank you.

Just had 15 x PV panels (11 south facing, 4 east facing) and 2 x 5 kwh batteries installed through contact solar. I have been researching PV solar for over a year and have had several quotes through different companies. Ultimately, for us, solar panels are a significant financial investment. I wanted to make sure that I went with a reputable company. Navigating the solar market is difficult and at times I have found that companies do apply some pressure and adopt a hard sell tactic to try to get you to purchase their product. I did not find this with contact solar. The installation went well, there was a small hiccough where the app was not working and a CT clamp needed adjusting but since then everything has been working well. I was surprised how effectively the system is working, even in January. I suspect we will make significant return on investment over the lifetime of the system. Even after the installation process was complete I have found that customer service is excellent and it does not seem to be a case of once you have paid for the product that they do not want to hear from you. In the end I chose contact solar because of their excellent reviews and well priced product and I hope this review will help other customers.

I found Contact Solar via a compare solar website. Mason from Contact phoned me shortly after and was happy to explain the in's and out's of solar. He was very aware at the start of the conversation the fact that my wife and I had signed up for the local council Solar Together scheme. This did not sway him from answering all questions I had regarding having a solar system installed. In fact he went straight on to Google Earth to view our house - his feedback was, we could have 13 panels fitted on the roof, but he noticed the oak tree in our neighbours garden and suggested we have optimisers as some panels were going to be in shade early in the morning. He was kind enough to explain all aspects in a way I understood. I asked for a quote, which once received was very much the same as the so called council bulk buy scheme (not including the optimisers). My wife and I talked about the conversation and info Mason had given me - the following morning we called Mason again (on speaker) and once again he answered further questions we both had. During that phone call, my wife and I decided that due to the help and info given by Mason we would go with Contact Solar. The whole process was easy and had our Solar System fitted 10/01/24. I would highly recommend Contact Solar, everyone I spoke to after Mason were extremely helpful. Also we would like to thank the four guys that fitted our system (Laurence, Gavin, Russ and Aaron) again a pleasure to deal with on the day of install and very professional - even down to replacing some broken tiles spotted while looking at the roof beforehand.

From start to finish the service received from Contact Solar has been first class. From placing the order through to installation, the communication from the company has been fantastic. We had 10 panels, an inverter and battery installed. The installation was completed by the 3Js. The guys were really friendly and pleasant, asking about sighting cable runs and positioning of the inverter and battery. They kept me in the loop all the way and were very quick and tidy. We have had the system up and running now for almost a week and I am very pleased with the Sunsynk equipment and the connect app, which is used for monitoring the system. There is no deposit to pay with Contact Solar; you only pay when the installation has been completed and you are happy with the system. Just an update on the above review. Contact Solar have had a special offer for the installation of additional batteries. I took them up on the deal and had an extra 5.32kw battery added to my system. I had a 5kw + battery system installed July 2022 expertly and efficiently done. I saw what I wanted in their advert with the cost upfront, I made the phone call to place my order and from then onwards it was non pushy and politeness all the way. I am very happy with my investment with a return of £1,300 (11%) in the first year of trouble free operation. I cannot praise Contact Solar highly enough, they are an excellent company and a pleasure to do business with.

Contact Solar charged a good price for the installation of solar panels, battery, and all the wiring, and installed the equipment as and when promised. They cleared up afterwards, and talked me through everything. Pre and post sale service was exemplary - they even phone to check I had no problems. I used contact solar due to the reasonable price and good reviews, as it was a large purchase I had a reasonable amount of apprehension as I did not know the company. Ultimately I chose them as they did not require any money up front. I need not have worried. The communication was good from the start with each person describing what they would do and what would happen next. The scaffolders were prompt and polite, the installation team were the same. My installation is neat and working efficiently, they even replaced a broken tile on the roof. The hand over was clear and they delivered all the necessary paperwork swiftly. Contact Solar quoted me in early 2021 for my system. I had previously got a quote from another supplier and was put off by the price. Contact solar's quote was less than half that of the other supplier (Over £12k lower!) for exactly the same solar/battery spec. The quotation process was very professional and the installation was very neat and also professional. The thing that amazed me most was they quoted I could expect 4001 kwh per annum. Last year the actual figure was 4243.7 and this year I am currently at 3931.8 with around 50 days left of the year - so well on track to exceed it again. The after sales support has also been first class. I genuinely feel they deserve the full 5 stars!

The experience I have had with Contact Solar has been excellent. My solar kit has been in place now for over a week and I am very happy with the outcome. I feel I have been looked after by a team of professional hard working, decent people delivering an excellent service from start to finish. My initial contact was through Geoff in sales who was informative and patient in fielding a significant number of questions I needed answering before I was confident enough to go ahead with the purchase and in helping me to refine the order thereafter. I was given sufficient time to think it over and never felt pressurised. At the same time, I was given a number of invaluable suggestions as to good-value upgrades to the system (e.g. bigger battery) which in hindsight, having used the system for only a week, I would have been gutted had I not purchased! Tony, who undertook the survey was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. Communication from everyone I spoke to at their office was excellent throughout. Phone calls are always answered and you always get an email response to any queries. Holly was great in co-ordinating with the scaffolders and helped iron out a couple of unforeseen issues, always being both professional and friendly, as was Carly in guiding me through the handover. The installation itself went just as smoothly. The team (Tim, Charlie, Jay - sorry if I've remembered the names wrongly!) turned up at 7.30am and worked the whole day through non-stop to get the job finished to a high standard. I was kept informed of progress throughout and given clear explanations of the final setup. It was by no means an easy install with 15 optimised PV panels split across 3 separate hip roofs with batteries and much of the equipment and wiring being installed into compact spaces. However, the quality of the workmanship appears to be top notch. Again, very competent, hard-working, honest guys. Even the scaffolders used by Contact Solar were great - they spent 30 minutes after taking the scaffolding down to fix a leak that had sprung in the guttering. Only hiccup was a missed survey appointment, which was due to a miscommunication between departments. However, it was addressed correctly without any unduly inconvenience. The scaffolding was erected and dismantled as per agreed schedule. The panels and batteries installation was quick and tidy, with everything completed within a day. Post installation support on the SunSynk App was good. Overall, we are very happy with the installation and Contact Solar, and would certainly recommend them to family and friends. Contact have just completed my installation and I would recommend them to anyone. All the details were communicated accurately. People turned up when agreed and the work was good, the whole experience was a positive one. I now have 5.2kw of solar and 10kw of battery storage, early signs (when the sun is out) are showing this to be a good choice.

However, once the specifications were defined and confirmed, progress happened quickly. I was really impressed with the professionalism of the installation team and the quality of the installation. They offered to complete my build after my previous company went into administration for the remaining balance which helped me out a lot. The install day was really good and everything was explained to me. Would highly recommend

Contact Solar were given the contract to install the solar on my property through the HIES scheme, after the previous installer went bust. They got in contact the day they received the contract, 31/05/2023 and booked in a surveyor to come and inspect my property. The contract with the initial company was for a 10-panel, 4KW system with a 9.5KWh battery storage. Contact Solar provided the same amount of panels, but increased the battery to 10.5KWh. The battery chemistry is different from the initial quote (which I did not notice until after the installation), meaning that the usable battery storage is less than was initially quoted, however this was partially offset by the increased total storage. The scaffolding was put up on 06/07/2023. The installers were booked to come on 12/07/2023.they were here by around 0800 am and worked non-stop throughout the day, even when the rain started. One of the three installers, Alex, took the time to explain how the whole system worked, patiently answered every question I had about the inverter, panels and the batteries. During the initial installation, four micro-inverters were missed however the installers came back on 28/07/2023 to add these. The people in the office and the installers themselves were all very apologetic that these were missed and it was quickly resolved. The scaffolding was taken down on 02/08/2023 after the second time the installers were at the house. Post Go-Live on 12/07/2023, I've not had any issues with the system or installation. No issues with the roof following the installation either. The overall timescale for the installation was delayed as I was out of the country for around 20 days in June, so the dates are not representative of a typical installation from Contact Solar. Overall, Contact Solar were fantastic and I have already recommended them to family who are wanting to have some panels installed in the future as well.

I had originally signed a contract with First4 Solar and was left waiting for 12months with very little communication before they went into administration. Contact Solar took over our solar installation from another company who went bankrupt (and whose performance was atrocious). The switch to Contact Solar was night and day in customer service. They kept us fully abreast of what was going on, did everything when they said they would and have responded in a timely fashion with post implementation questions that I had. After our experience with the first company I had concerns about the whole sector as it can be difficult to navigate but Contact Solar gave me confidence that there are some good companies out there.

Contact Solar provided an excellent service to me here in the Scottish Highlands. Installed a battery/PV system in 2 days which worked first time and after almost a month, no issues with it at all. Great Experience Contact Solar made the whole process nice and easy. I had lots of questions but the reply time was always quick and the answer clear. The work was fast and tidy with all the wires hidden inside the house.

We paid a deposit for batteries in January 2022. After many excuses and when we were about to go to the Small Claims Court this company, Tanrec, went into administration. Contact Solar picked up their order book, we understand 900 customers and fitted our batteries within 3 weeks, time required for the necessary permissions and details to be processed. They were cheaper than the original quote by almost £200. To say we are pleased is an understatement after all the hassle we have had over almost 18 months. If you want to keep your electricity bills down, look nowhere else. They do not advertise but rely on recommendations. We can see why they can do that. Thank you.
