Eco Grants UK

I inquired about eligibility for a boiler replacement grant last year. After review of the criteria with an eco grant representative I determined that I would not be eligible for assistance and consequently I arranged for a replacement to be installed independently. Since that time I have been repeatedly called by eco grant to discuss applying for a government handout. Every time I reiterate that I have already replaced my boiler the caller hangs up. I block the callers number but each subsequent call is from a completely different number. This business is a disorganised mess and does not appear to be an honest service provider.

I had internal insulation installed a few weeks ago. The installers were great and carried out the installation within a day. The reason I'm giving Eco Grants UK a 1 star review is due to the installation of the kitchen extractor fan. To have the insulation installed, extractor fans need to be fitted in the kitchen and bathroom, which they duly were. The installer, who came to install the fans didn't introduce himself, to me, and neither did his supervisor. Because the kitchen fan was wired into the wall socket, the cooker socket had to be switched off at the mains panel; I had to switch the cooker socket back on. On the 23rd of May, I had two smart meters installed. Prior to installing the meters, the installer had to check the electrics and used a special plug to check the sockets, in the kitchen. Luckily, the first socket that was tested, was the one which powers the extractor fan. The reason I stated 'luckily', is that the socket isn't earthed, which is a hazard. If the fan installer noticed something amiss, with regards to the wiring - such as a loose wire, why didn't he fix the issue? Likewise, after connecting the fan's wires, to the socket, why didn't the installer check to see if everything was ok, with regards to the wiring, inside the socket. Because the socket isn't earthed, I can't use the oven and have to use an extension cable if I want to use my air fryer. It's fortunate that there hasn't been a fault with the air fryer's plug, or the oven's power supply, otherwise I could have been electrocuted. Surely, when dealing with the electrics, in a house, things need to be checked, before the work can be signed off? If the work wasn't checked/tested, by the installer's supervisor, then what does that say about Eco Grants UK, who either employ the extractor fan installer, or have a contract with the company he works for? Because I can't use the oven, for the time being, I've had to buy food that I can cook in the air fryer. Thank goodness I have an air fryer and extension lead, that's all I can say.

Hi I am from Beeston Leeds. Workers did a very good job. Me and my family very happy. Excellent and super workers , very skilful workers, good cleaning. Rubbish was removed just one hour after finishing the job. Highly recommended

Dreadful company, do not use them. Communication was terrible and poor customer service. The surveyor didn't show, and they didn't have the decency to let me know. I had to chase, booked another date and when they arrived didn't speak to us. I didn't have a clue what was going on or why they were doing what they did. Was told to expect a report 1 week later, no signs of the report, no phone call, text or email to let me know. I chased multiple times. I was told work was approved, then it wasn't, and no one was willing to speak to me. Asked multiple times for my official paperwork given I had sent official documents to them for an 'application' and they're ignoring me now. Dodgy company and if I could have left 0 stars I would have. Avoid them at all costs.

I like to make a complaint about the contractor they had the European people working on my house the made right mess the job was not right. The gutter leaking from every corner the left are so many patches on wall insulation they took my belongings from my house all the job what they did it’s not alright no happy all someone need to sort this job out otherwise I’m going to take a further

Great communication and dealt with the loft insulation and radiator valves very quickly. I was impressed with how the protected the house from damage and worked very cleanly. Absolutely shocking company Eco Grants Uk Based in Blackburn. Sent a team of cowboys in January 2024 to complete wall insulation. Not qualified to do the work, alot of damage done to property and carpets. Burst water pipe in the kitchen, ripped wallpaper on walls they didn't need to touch. Really poor skimming. Left my house in a state. Spent 3 months battling with tye company for them to send another team to re-do the work which eventually they agreed to do. Wish I never had the work done. I'm left with a full house of redecorating and carpets that have been cut too short and have bits ripped out. Avoid at all costs

Do not go ahead with this company! They are absolutely unprofessional from start to finish. I had external insulation done, however I regret doing it, as they were all cowboy workers, cutting corners wherever.

0 rating from me communication is really bad . I would advise anyone not to use this company they are horrendous . Bhatti in the office cut the phone off too me numerous times .Your service is appalling .Your company didn't explain to me that you don't complete the full external insulation prior to starting the work . They flooded my boiler by removing the external guttering which water entered the flue of the boiler and water logged my boiler.I had to get this repaired privately . They sent out engineer who repaired the job it only lasted 2hours and my boiler broke down . My guttering is left with paint splatters all over it and the front flooring of my house has paint all over the floor !😡

Absolute joke of a company Firstly there was a delay in being contacted, once I had been contacted a date was discussed which nobody showed on I was then told the ‘worker is ill and we will re arrange and discuss a date’ Two days later somebody knocks on my door as if I was meant to know they were coming ? Anyway I allowed him to come and have a look around, he then turned around and said not got the energy for this I will come back on Monday with more workers. He also asked me to take the beds apart and move everything from the rooms so there was nothing infront of the walls. I had to call somebody and pay them to do this. Monday comes… guess what nobody turns up. I ring their manager who tells me they are not even booked in for today!! However he then tells me he had booked their hotel, travel and workers so if that was the case how was it not booked in? Why did the worker tell me he was coming on Monday? Anyway many lies told, manager kept trying to bribe me. Would not trust them in my house so I have now told them to cancel as they are clearly not trustworthy people so why would I trust you in my house? Have since been ignored , no apologise or anything.

He made sure all plants are not damaged, neighbours walls are not messed by placing covers etc. Costa was helpful in giving us good material, especially he arranged for the color that we requested though it's not in his warehouse. Overall it's a wonderful job done by Florin and Costa team.

Fantastic work from the team, very pleasant and great quality of finish on the plaster work. Protected all items with thick plastic while working and all floors in house to minimise dust. Only issue I have it took much longer than the four days that was initially promised however our room in roof was tricky.

Very pleased with the service provided by ECO Grants UK. There were total of 5 rooms that were insulated. Our main concern was moving furniture and cleaning but it was a breeze as the workers moved the furniture and cleaned after themselves, which made everything easier. Totally didn't expect the extra services of installing boiler, new exhaust fans, timers for radiators and new sockets where needed. Would definitely recommend them and the team has gone above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Please stay away from these cowboy builders!!!! They will scam you please look elsewhere!!! They have scammed us and lied to us so many times. Biggest mistake taken them on. They said they will complete everything in 10 working days, from over 2months. Don’t be tempted by their sleazy salesman that will be knocking on your doors, and persuading you of all the advantages they will do to your property. The works they carried out aren’t done to even a “good” standard. Please don’t make the same mistake we have done. They aren’t professional at all. Research the company, before signing anything. Don’t buy into their false promises they make. You will regret it

Cow boys! Please avoid and report to council. Their workers are incompetent, they have done external wall insulation which has cracks over it they tried covering everything up with silicon. Broke many items which still haven’t been replaced. The managers run away and refuse to take calls. Avoid this company at all cost. All pipes have been covered with cement, ruined my composite door which I will be compensating for. Render has gaps around windows PLEASE AVOID.

If you have the strength to deal with cowboy builders, un responsive management and happy to clean your house and bin stuff that's been broken then please go ahead with Eco Grant.2 week job has taken 6 weeks and millions of calls and being upset that the mess that's been left. oh and still not done.. I wish I had never used them. I have a damaged garden door , broken items, silicon all over my windows and doors. Next step is for me to clean all that while am recovering from head surgery.

Nice insulations work, cooperative workers and very good customer service

Excellent job, Eco grants just finished doing my home, nice and clean job. The management and labour everyone was friendly and knew what they were doing. From start to finish no problem at all, Bilal has been very supportive and kept me updated about everything. The house looks beautiful and off course with the wall and loft insulation I could save on energy. I would strongly recommend to give them a try.

Never get the insulation done from them, they have done a terrible job. They are just scammers 0% customer service

The worst company ever,gives you appointments and never turns up,0% customer service and don’t know how to talk to there costumers,Avoid at all cost,from the manager to the employees all jokers

These guys are true jokers,rude to customers,gave me 5 different appointments never turned up on any of them did not have the decency to inform me of the cancellations. In the end they just cancelled my job for no reason what so ever avoid these jokers at all costs.
