They don't accept credit cards in 2026!!! Was not advised of this over the phone before arriving to pay. Would understand this for small transactions of £30 under, but people are paying several £100s for work on vehicles, to not offer this facility for such large payments is poor service. The receptionist advised "it's cos we don't want to pass the cost on to the customer, my response was "there are laws against that now". Pricey for the work done, hopefully it's fixed the issue.
My experience with them was bad, I gave them my car for oil change and they scratched it ! Rubbish, I never go there again. Someone meant to call back about this, but no one did. Avoid.
We are very disappointed with this company's services and highly not recommend them. The vehicle was delivered to them workshop on Thursday for PMI and tacho calibration and was not ready for collection until seven days later. While we understand that repairs were necessary, we do not believe the work required justified the vehicle being off the road for such an extended period. This delay resulted in additional costs for our company and caused significant operational and logistical challenges. However, we were extremely disappointed by the way the service was concluded. The final invoice was approximately 50% higher than the original quotation, and at no point were we informed or asked to approve these additional costs before the work was carried out. Furthermore, we were required to pay the full amount immediately upon collection, despite our contractual payment terms of 30 days. So my advice stay away from this company because they ruin businesses.

Cant fault these guys had a problem with the bike that I couldn't sort took it down on a busy Monday morning without a appointment. Told they were fully booked but would try to have a look get a call a few hours later all fixed and the price was really good
Excellent, polite, helpful service from Nicky and all at AAE. I had multiple intermittent electrical problems with steering wheel control stalks - lights, horn, screen washers, indicators, etc. Dropped off car and quickly got a callback from Danny to let me know he found the problem. Corrosion on switches. Unfortunately there's a 12 week backorder for a new stalk assembly. To save me from the inconvenience, he offered to dismantle and clean all the dirty switches, which he did. Faulty horn replaced, stalk assembly fixed and working fine all within no time. I'm very impressed. Recommend 💯%.
So impressed! After being messed around by another really unhelpful garage I was desperate to get my MOT done that afternoon but knew there was a fault with the washer pump. Not only did AAE listen to my story with sympathy, they diagnosed and fixed that problem before rushing it through an MOT. Mark even stayed late so I could come and collect it. All sorted in the space of 4 hours! I can't thank you enough, you've saved me £hundreds in missed work and sent me home smiling after a day from hell! Customer for life now :)
Fantastic service with a very old car no longer supported by the main dealer. These guys kept at it until it was resolved. Would definitely recommend!

I would give no star at all ! As this guys was waste my money and time ! They charge me £80 for nothing .. as they didn’t do anything to my car ! Basically they barely touch my car and charge me £80 ! Money wasters ! Shame on them all !
The internal wiring for my car lights needed fixing but Avonmouth Auto Electrical ended up making an even bigger mess of the situation. I've had to get another place to fix the now huge problem, costing me even more.

Never actually been to the place or used them… I found myself in a fix today with an altenator on a sprinter … I kinda knew it was faulty but the replacement was £400+ I asked them if they’d test my old one but they couldn’t fit me in However the guy ran through a few test procedures for me and confirmed it was in fact the alternator I’m sure they don’t care to give out much free advice being in the trade but I’ve left this review because I’d definitely recommend them and use them in the future for this

Generally get my car MOT done here. Book it in a couple of weeks in advance. Not had any problems with these guys, seem friendly and efficient.
Not good as i was hopeing ,they put the rear camera inside the back window it rained on a night time and i could not see anything from the camera i havent got wipers on the back . I payed alot for just the front cam :(

Responded to my initial email but never got a quote back for alternator once I sent serial number and photos. Can't comment beyond that.

Avoid this place and never do their service. Unable to diagnose the electric issue of Battery drain. Horn fault required and when advised they said it costs £35 but after it has been done in very low quality they charged £176 claiming 2hrs work and other costs!. They made my day very bad. with very low quality job
This business was recommended to me by green flag mechanic. They solved a electrical fault on my Ford Transit that my local local auto electrical garage had no clue about.. after calling them Thursday afternoon, they booked me in for 8.30 the following day. After a quick check they sent me down the local cafe for a coffee when I got back my truck was ready to go.. all for less than £100 I was very impressed as I have had this starting fault for three weeks. Thanks to John. Nick and their team.
Ordered the wrong part then charged me full price for a second hand indicator they used to rectify the mistake, cheaper on ebay if you can afford to wait

I’ve been to Avonmouth Auto Electrical on two occasions now for 2 various problems with my damned car. Both times I’ve come to this establishment, their hospitality has always been very welcoming and they always ensure they’re completely transparent with you. As an example, I went in with a faulty ABS sensor, within an hour or two of my car being in the shop, they gave me a call, explained the exact situations I had the choice of involved with getting my car back on the road as quickly as possible. Explaining that I had a travel planned for the day in which they suggested it gets fixed, they went away, got the car sorted and had it fixed in time for me to get on my travels safe and sound. I would recommend these guys 100%! Good guys, solid mechanics/electricians, and all round a great experience.
This company is useless I booked a service and MOT in for 8 0clock arrived 10 minutes early and they expected me to leave my car tbere until they decided when to do it if that ever happened at all ... no chance what idiots please do not go there
Had a faut with dash clocks as kept turning off and speedo frozen, indicators wouldn't work, but was intermittent fault, looked on u tube at faults and BMW were charging about £800 to fix, took car to Avonmouth auto and had it fixed in no time for £100, brilliant service and recommend them to all people for a great service

I had an intermittent fault with the central locking on my BMW X5. I took it to the local BMW main dealer who charged me over £800 to change the ~General Module, even though having researched this, it couldn't have been responsible for an intermittent fault like the one I had. The fault was still there after it left their workshops. Avonmouth Auto Electrical had the car in and fixed the fault in a very short time, for £36. Some old school fault diagnosis by them let to a very simple fix. Dealing with them was very easy and I had a great deal of confidence in them prior to leaving the car and even more now having picked it up. Great service from a garage who really know electrical systems. Thank you very much.
I took my berlingo down for a Mot and with a query on the ABS warning light. They completed the Mot and cleaned and adjusted the Sensor as this was often enough to solve this problem. I was happy that they had not gone straight in with more expensive options. Unfortunately this did not resolve the problem so I took the car back down. It had not been booked in I purely took it on the off chance. About three hours later I got the call to say the car was ready. As always all communication was polite and professional. Everything was explained and the car put at the front of the building ready for collection. Prices are good and I always feel like a valued customer. Thank you guys, hope not to see you too soon., but you have established yourselves as my garage of choice.

They took a car for repair and despite me calling them few times asking for the quote they did not give me any figure saying they have to have a look closer what work has to be done and after 2 days they rang saying the car is done leaving me with huge bill !!! If i would know straight away i would never leave the car with these robbers. Avoid avoid avoid ! Never again! Will also report them to Trading Standards!

Took my car here to have a air bag light sorted out only to leave with my car battery flat so they had to jump start me i broke down the next day another mechanic sorted out the problem which avonmouth auto electric said that wouldn't take responsibility for. Staff were rude and grumpy glad I left accidentally left some bananas in the back of there hire car . These guys are job creation officers stay well clear
Expensive and not good at communication as cost was double than the estimate . Bad customer service stay away . Turned up for appointment after waiting 30 mins and asking for an update was told no one was available went three times finally before the job was done
