Absolutely a 5 star business, Tom was excellent, quotes were quick and reasonably priced and he even managed to accommodate our tight timelines and we have been delighted with the finished product. It’s worth paying to get it done right and Tom’s boys (Michael etc) were fantastic. Got the job done quickly but in the right way, thanks very much, we will be using Pavetar for our driveway in the new year.

We are so pleased with our new driveway. We got a quote from Tom and then planned a rough date but unfortunately I had to push back given we still had building work that went on longer than expected. Tom was very accommodating with this and fitted us in a month later which fell perfectly. The lads were absolute grafters in very cold November conditions and the whole drive, including all old flags ripped away and shrubbery then new fences and sleepers installed and a stunning looking drive was all completed from start to finish within 5 days! Tom and his team at Pave Tar did our own and our neighbour's fronts along with a long shared driveway to the garages. Very knowledgeable and provided us loads of info before deciding to go with tarmac, decorated with square bricks around all edges. The team did an amazing job from start to finish completing it all within a week as originally quoted. They kept us closely updated and nothing was too much to accommodate specific requests around the steps and drains. Tom project managed it nicely and worked throughout on the finishing day carrying out all the necessary checks as well. Really pleased and has made a massive difference to our home. Wouldn't hesitate recommending Pave Tar to anyone requiring this kind of work.  Hopefully back soon to redo the rear patio area in our garden.

Tom came and explained everything very well when contacted and explained it would take a week. The lads did absolutely everything we wanted including finishing on time at the end of the week.They were friendly and polite and did everything we asked even adjusting little hitches that occurred. They also cleaned the area very thoroughly when they finished including the road.

Price similar to other quotes but Tom turned up when he said he would,unlike others,they completed my block paving extension in a few days and clean and tidy finish.His team even came back very quickly when I wanted an extra tweak to the wall in the front.Whole team were professional from start to finish, thank you

I can only echo all the other reviews posted here recently, the PaveTar team have done a great job in front of our garage. Tom leads a great team from the front. He came following the initial contact and gave me a quote there and then, was happy for me to discuss with my husband before agreeing to the work. He then arranged a suitable date for the work, which he thought would take 3 days but took only 2. His team of 4 worked really hard and produced a lovely drive way, cleaned and re-grouted the path at the side of the garage and tidied up the two sides of the drive. When I had a couple of small issues after the team had left, Tom turned up to sort them out himself. We only paid after the work was completed. So pleased with the result and to have worked with such a professional team - would have no hesitation in recommending them (and have already done so having been approached by two neighbours asking about the work!).

Recently had my driveway block paved by Tom and the team - they've done a fantastic job and I'm delighted with the results! A really slick experience, after reaching out a quick call and Tom came to take a look at the drive and chat about what we wanted. He was very good at explaining the work and his teams process. I should have wrote this review earlier in honesty but it’s skipped my mind. Had Pavetar landscape our whole garden a couple of months back and they were excellent. We had a new born and they were very considerate with us considering our lack of sleep. It’s worrying parting with money before seeing a final product, but I really had nothing to worry about. The team worked so hard on an awkward garden path renovation, which other contractors wouldn’t take on, and they have done a great job for us. After speaking with several driveway companies, we decided to deal with PaveTar. We’re delighted with the result and process. Tom was good enough to visit to quote and again to confirm the order. He was flexible with our starting date and once a date was confirmed, it was smooth sailing. The equipment arrived the night before and the lads arrived the following morning as promised. My old large 180m2 driveway needed replacement. PaveTar quoted and started the work in short time scale. The quote was good value considering the amount of work and material involved. We needed the back garden remodelling to replace and extend an old patio, replace rotten decking and pathway with second patio, pathway, flower border and turfing. Remove section of front wall and make good the block paving. Tom of PaveTar Ltd. responded promptly with a visit. He listened to our ideas and offered his advice and gave a very reasonable all-inclusive written quotation with a 6 week lead time and start date. He arrived on time in 2 clean and tidy signed vehicles with lots of equipment. In the first day the site was cleared of several truckloads of debris. The crew, led by Mikal, was skilful, professional, courteous and communicative. At the end, the site was clean and tidy and the finished result was excellent. This was a 5 star job completed on time and within budget. Tom and PaveTar will be invited back to quote for any further work.

I've had PaveTar take up my old driveway and put down a new Resin bound one. I can't praise them enough for both their professionalism, work ethic, communication and value. Tom provided the quote and was the main point of contact for the project. I normally dread having any sort of work done, as I constantly find that I'm chasing for people to provide information, not turning up when promised and generally getting poor customer care. PaveTar were the polar opposite. The quote for the work was provided verbally when they examined the driveway, they backed it up with a written quote the day after. The quote was competitive and they took the time to answer any queries I had. Anytime I called I either got answered straight away, or a call back within a few minutes - this makes a massive difference to me and gave me confidence I was dealing with a genuinely professional outfit. The whole project was stress free. The team on the job worked incredibly hard, I don’t even think they stopped for a break on the first day - they were relentless in their effort. Everything was tided up, any debris taken away and each day I saw them brushing down the pavement and road to make sure everything was cleaned, they showed real care in their work. Their attention to detail was absolutely on point. The end result was even better than we imagined, we can't get over how great the new driveway looks and we've had lots of comments from neighbour's on the speed of PaveTar’s work and how good a job they did. Thank you to Tom, your father and the whole team - we waited and saved for a long time to do this work, you took what we thought would be a stressful project and made it a walk in the park. Recently had my driveway done with PaveTar, very happy with the result. The whole Pavetar were very professional and extremely hardworking. Manged to get the work completed in 2 days . Would highly recommend.

Updated A few problems have occurred with first rains. The garden patio that was supposed to be flat and with adequate drainage is pooling with every rain, and less than 5 months from fitting it is either full of water or slowly drying days after rain had stopped - this is a south facing garden and previously we had no drainage issues as we are on a slight hill. I also used Pavetar again to build an enclosed carport soon after the garden work. A number of problems became obvious with this with first rains: it leaks along the roofline and where it meets the garage roof, the guttering is wavy and not draining but spluttering - they did come to fix this twice so far but it hasn't been done well (still leaks). Another issue is that the plastic carport roof was built over the boiler flue (see photo). When I got the gas certified plumber to extend the flue outside, he advised me to report this to Gas Safe as my boiler would not be safe to use any more. Pavetar got their gas - safe engineer to resolve this and assured me that the flue can be easily extended, it is not a big deal etc. They were wrong, and I will now need to involve the Gas Safe and see where it goes from there. *update: The flue extension has been rectified after seeking Gas-Safe and Worcester advice and support. It took four times to come out to get it right and is now safe according to regulations and standards. Not thanks to Pavetar though. My original positive 5 star review was genuine as is this update. Unfortunately, a lot has gone wrong in the very short space of time and they have relocated and moved on. Gutted to have trusted and paid a lot of money to these people.

Removed front garden turning it into a parking area, prepared the ground thoroughly before tarmacademing it plus drive and side of house. Suggestions were made to me on how to improve appearance by adding blocks, curves etc. Very professional job, tidying up as they went along, a big job though no mess left. Cannot praise them highly enough. Very polite helpful workers

PaveTar recently laid a block paving drive for us in Gatley. Tom fully understood what I was looking for from the start and was able to make some useful suggestions that I hadn't considered. Although it took a few months from the quote to the job starting it was definitely worth the wait. We have quite a large drive and PaveTar were able to excavate what was there, lay the new drive, build a new front wall and lay a new lawn in four days. Their whole team were very professional and hard working and I'd be more than happy to recommend them to anyone considering a new drive!

When I asked other companies for a quote to extend an already block paved drive they would try to sell me a brand new driveway. Not Pave Tar - they listened and offered advice on the need for additional drainage. They even patched up my neighbours adjacent garden wall. Pave Tar replaced our drive for us with block paving. They have done a terrific job and transformed the look of the drive. They have expanded the available parking for us so we can get another vehicle on the drive. They have done a nice job of the garden area too, so we still have a pleasant little space for bulbs trees and shrubs.

We have recently had our driveway block paved by Pave Tar and are really pleased with it! The team worked really hard and completed the job from start to finish in 3 days at a competitive price. After the driveway was done they ensured that the front of the house was clean and tidy and Tom even visited us again a few days later to check that we were happy with the finished job. From coming around and giving me a competitive quotation to the project completion both Tom and his labour have been professional, knowledgeable and courteous throughout. We went through my requirements, they gave sound advice and a fair price. They didn't come back and offer a special price 'because they were doing a job around the corner'. They started the project a couple of days later than originally stated but did let me know and completed in the amount the days said. The works involved included removing trees, bushes, existing decking and existing flags as well as laying indian stone to the rear patio and block paving to the side and front of the house. They supplied and fitted new panel fencing (strong durable ones, not the normal cheap ones!) and 2no new gates. They worked hard and cleaned up thoroughly on completion and nothing was too much trouble (even queries at the weekend) All in all, i am very happy and would definitely recommend them to anyone!! 5 star service throughout!!

New Resin Driveway: We made the right choice to go with Pave Tar. It was a big job and all done it just 3 days. They really cracked on and got the job done fast. Price was good too. We are very happy with the end result. They are in demand but kept in contact with us in the weeks before the start of the job to keep us up to date with when they would be able to start. We have used PaveTar on 3 different occasions. Our driveway was first, then our garage, then a year later our back garden. We highly recommend this family owned business, as father and son are professional and provide an exceptional and personalised service. The team are also amazing, we have had the same men on all the 3 occasions, very polite, hardworking and punctual. There is a reason why we are repeat customers of PaveTar because Prices are fair, workmanship and quality of materials cannot be beaten in my opinion. Getting building work can be stressful and you may want to make last minute changes, however, with PaveTar we have no worries even when we had to make changes they will accommodate with no hassle, they will not leave until you are happy and always clean up after. It's difficult to find a good construction business - but with PaveTar you will have no need to worry.

Having looked at previous work PaveTar had completed gave me confidence to ask Pavetar to undertake re-doing my garden, patio and driveway. From the initial telephone call to quotation to build work and completion of work Pavetar were professional. Whilst on site the workmen were always polite and friendly. Being quite particular any concerns I had during construction were taken on board and everything was done to keep me happy. They left me with what I feel is a good quality finished product. One of the main things I would point out is that even after the work was complete and payment made in full, when I had a slight concern regarding a minor defect Pavetar returned within a couple of days and corrected the defect. They also assured me if anything else came up they would always return. This is a sign of a company who take pride in their work and I would recommend. Thank you to Joe and Tom.

Trustworthy, honest, hard working and diligent. I was sceptical at first to trust a leaflet through the door, however when I did sit down with the father and son team it was very clear that they knew their business and gave me all the assurances I needed. They started the project on the date they promised. They had a team of workers who all got going on my driveway, patio, fencing and landscaping. The team were friendly and polite and left the site tidy at the end of each day. The work was completed within time and all the little jobs were complete before they left and there were no hidden extras. A few months down the line they had popped in to say hi and made sure that we were still happy with the work. When they were doing some work next door they found a little bit of time to treat the driveway as a precaution as he was in the neighbourhood. I can’t praise the team enough. Very impressed with the work ethic of the guys and carried on non-stop despite the weather which was horrendous at times, a credit to the company. Great job by the guys at Pavetar. We had what I thought was an awkward slope across our drive with a drop to the kerbside. But they managed to resolve this with ease and provided a solution. The guys were prompt as promised and are super quick. The progress after one day was amazing. Joe and Tom popped by daily to check the work and were always friendly. Originally was going to take 3 days but they smashed it in 2 days and was exactly what I wanted. Really pleased. The guys cleaned everything down and washed all the road after. PaveTar have done an amazing job with my driveway, the finish of the job is top and the time it took to complete left me gob smacked (in a positive way). I would recommend to keep on top of the progress whilst the job is being carried out, there is a somewhat lack of communication at times between the builders in which if not pointed out can lead to your own compromise. I’m the type of guy who likes to question everything, and the chaps have been very patient and understanding with me. Top group of lads would more than likely call them out for another job.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am super happy with the new driveway. We have quite a large drive which needed completely redesigning to allow us to turn the car around within the drive. We were also having lights, gates and new front door installed. Pavetar did a great job following the design we provided and worked well with all the other companies that were doing the other jobs; electrician and gates companies. Along the way we did encounter problems but Pavetar did everything they could to overcome them and even after being paid came back to fix and resolve things I wasn’t completely happy with. The whole team - Joe, Tom, Rob, Jason and Craig are such hard workers and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to carry out this type of work.

Just used Pavetar Construction. Had to wait a few months for them to start my garden and driveway as they were very busy but it was worth it. They landscaped my garden for me and my driveway in two weeks. The guys work very hard and are willing to listen and give you advise. They use there initiative and make sure the customer is happy. I had Rob and Jason work on my project and credit to them. Proper hard working guys considering the scale of my garden project which was a big project and the recent cold weather which never stopped them from work hard. Tom and Joe who run the business make sure the job is never delayed and always inspected what what was done every evening and morning and made sure material was delivered onsite. On the back of the good work they did on my garden I have them my driveway to block pave and they did a very good job which was done in 2.5 days and within the two week period. Both projects from start to finish in two weeks not bad going as.my garden project was big. Garden and drive was left clean and tidy. What also impressed me was their plant and equipment as they had every tool for the job and their vans and truck made sure sub base material was always there onsite. We had our drive and garden landscaping done by this company recently. Highly satisfied with the result. Slight issue with the start of the job as they were so busy but once they have started there is no stopping. Having debated having our drive block paved and the whole of the rear garden landscaped PaveTar have just completed an overhaul of all of that. The whole of the front driveway, 120sqm, has been block paved and the whole of the rear garden has been block paved, slabbed and landscaped with sleepers and ‘fake’ grass. The team lead by Tom worked every day from 8.00am until 6.00pm through the hottest weather of the year to complete the job in twelve working days. The finish is of excellent quality with our requests and ideas talked through at every stage.
