Reviewers often describe Manchester driveways ltd’s teams as hardworking, polite and friendly, and say they left the site clean and tidy. Several say the team turned up when expected and kept them informed during the work. Reviewers also report completed driveways and patios, with several describing a transformed appearance and a good or high-quality finish. One reviewer reported that a patio was finished in one day and was not done right, with drainage sloping towards the garage and drainage channels not connected properly; they said the company refused a refund. Another reviewer reported blocks moving after sanding was delayed and weeds appearing five months after a driveway was done, and said the company apologised and provided weed-killing products; a separate reviewer advised avoiding the company without giving details.

Sand still needs brushing off so the pics don't look as good as the driveway does. It is such a change and just fantastic. I called three people for quotes, Patrick was the only person who actually turned up when he said he would. The team were lovely, hardworking and wouldn't even take a brew, however much I offered. On the last day I realised the trees on the side would be more exposed than anticipated. Patrick came up with another option and went straight out for the sleepers. They looked brilliant and I'm really grateful. Wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to anyone. Thanks!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you've already used this company, you might want to check the work as they told me that they have installed all of their patios the same way they installed mine. I was quoted £4,700 for a new patio and which would take 2-3 days to complete. They ONLY SPENT 1 DAY doing the job and it was not done right. I first asked them to come back, pull it up and relay properly but they refused. They have since offered to come back and re-lay but they won't agree to rectify all of the errors identified and will only fix two of them, so I haven't agreed to this. THEY ARE NOW REFUSING TO GIVE ME A REFUND so I am going to be doubly out of pocket as I have to pay someone else to rip up and relay my patio properly. Some of the issues the company doesn't agree are issues because "they told me they would do it this way and I agreed/didn't complain at the time". However, I only agreed to them doing these things in reliance on their expertise and them telling me it was ok for the patio to be built this way - I have since found out it was not ok and I asked the company to fix all of these issues but they have only offered to fix errors 1 and 2 which is not sufficient: 1. The patio wraps around my house and I was told that it was ok for it to be 100mm below the damp proof course (DPC) with 1 aco drain so I agreed to this. However, the patio is nowhere near this low. It ranges from 80mm to 75mm below the DPC which is not what was agreed. 2. The patio is an L shape around my house and we agreed that it would be sloped to drain water into my garden but it is sloping the other way!! It is incorrectly sloped into my garage, water has already pooled there when it rains! 3. They put drainage channels around one side of my house (called aco drains). They just laid these on top of my existing drainage spots (called a gully) without actually attaching the aco drain to them. They said it was fine to do this but even the aco website says that aco drains need to be connected to a 110mm pipe or soakaway!! 4. Part C of the Building Regulations says that there should be a 150mm gap between the patio and the DPC. The company said 100mm was fine with drainage channels but I can't see the Building Regs saying this. If I sell my house in the future, buyers will probably take issue with how high the patio is making it harder to sell. The company said if I sell within 10 years and a buyer takes issue with how high the patio is, they'll pay the buyer £5,000 (which to me shows they know they've done something wrong). 5. One end of the aco drainage channel has been filled with cement and the other left open with no end - not properly capped off. 6. Paving over my old pavers and not removing them, when those old pavers were uneven, dirty and not in a sturdy state. They said this was ok but 4x contractors have since come over and said they should have been removed and a proper sub-base laid. 7. Used old concrete blocks as part of the base for one area of the patio. They also said this was ok as they apparently crushed it into smaller pieces but again 4x contractors have come over and said they shouldn't have done this. 8. I did not want a raised patio, but I got one anyway (probably because they laid it on top of my old patio). No supporting beam was put in place before they started laying the pavers so concrete has spilled out onto my grass and in my car port. The edge of my patio is now not secure leading to the border bricks falling out and a very ugly finish (the company did say they would come back to cut a clean line in the spillover but the bricks will still be unstable). 9. They cut the existing drainpipes down the side of my house to be the right height for the raised patio and have left them jagged and messy. Two of these pipes are now so high that they splash onto the bricks above my DPC!! 10. They left rubbish in my garden (including fag butts), left my driveway messy with cement dust, used my shovel and handsaw without my permission and didn't clean them, ripped two plants out killing them, left soil waste

Can’t rate this company highly enough. the guys worked really hard during our latest heatwave and just didn’t stop. The finish is superb and it’s put far more value on the house than it’s cost us to have it done. Patrick deals with any issues in a professional and courteous manner. We are so, so pleased with it and highly recommend Manchester Driveways Limited

Laid a brand new resin drive, all the groundwork done quickly, and incredibly tidily. The final finish is good, with a great colour resin finish. Very happy with everything from the service to the final product.
