Fylde Damp Proofing Ltd

Upon purchasing our new home, we instructed a few damp companies to quote us for a damp issues that was noted on the survey that we had done. Where other damp companies quoted us for a new damp proof course that would cost 2.5-3k, Fylde Damp Proofing explained that it would be best to start with installing new air bricks which proved to be the solution that was needed, saving us over 2k in unnecessary work. From there, it was identified that there was some work that was needed on replacing timber joists under the floor through the hall and kitchen. Despite it being a disruptive and big job, the workmen worked quickly and efficiently, keeping us updated and making minimal disruption to our lives, especially on days we worked from home and having a dog. Even when the work was completed, the returned a couple of weeks later to refit our downstairs toilet after we had new flooring put down. If I was going to be slightly critical about 1 thing (although it wouldn't impact the score I give) it would be that communication could be slightly better as to when work would commence and when waste would be picked up as this took a couple of weeks to be removed.

Dean, is absolutely brilliant, he’s done a brilliant job, plastering amazing. Great job.

Great experience with Fylde Damp Proofing. They came out promptly, tested my walls, listened to the issues I was having, and gave me solid advice on how to improve things. Excellent customer service!

I was very apprehensive about the work being done in the house … but the moment I met dean he was very assuring and put my mind at ease . He was very professional, polite and efficient. The work he has done is amazing and he was very good at removing any waste to the point I couldn’t tell he had been in the house doing his work 😊 on completion the end result looks amazing and I am so pleased with the work he has done . Would highly recommend dean and his work , he’s coming back to do more work on the house and I’m very satisfied and looking forward to the next step of work he’s going to do … thanks dean .

I had my first floor doors changed by Arron Darwen and his joiners. All turned up on time, advised me and sourced the new doors to match the downstairs ones, did a wonderful job and cleaned up afterwards, removing the old doors as well! I thoroughly recommend this company.

Recently, I had a AutoConcare 20/20 Positive Input unit fitted in my loft. This unit requires no maintenance and provides a constant stream of warm fresh filtered air that lowers the dewpoint, ventilates the home and offers a highly effective solution to damp problems caused by condensation. This is perfect for me as I have copd and asthma, and I am really looking forward to not having many troublesome exacerbations' this autumn and winter (hopefully, none at all). The service I received fron Fylde Damp proofing staff was both excellent and professional, the installation was carried out by a very competent and pleasant electrition. I was very impressed, hence the 5 star rating.

5 star review for Fylde Damp Proofing. Found the company as a recommendation on local Facebook group. Swift and efficient to attend job to assess works needed. Work was completed to a fab standard and they left the house spotless following the works being done. Communication with Beverley to arrange initial enquiry and appointment was great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them at all! Thankyou!! ☺️

Really great service, fast quoting, friendly staff - no hidden extra costs - would recommend

Had Fylde Damp Proofing out to survey our property as we had damp issues in the whole of the ground floor. The surveyor was very technical and thorough but explained in simple terms exactly what the issues were and how they could be rectified. Their staff Chris and Amado were brilliant - punctual, clean and tidy and the workmanship was excellent. I would definitely recommend Fylde Damp Proofing to friends and family.

Have used Fylde Damp Proofing on a complicated issue over 2 floors of a 5 flat development near the beach at Fairhaven St Annes. Their guys were very efficient, super clean, did a great job and decent price too. Happy to recommend their services for both internal and external works.

Amazing and professional company, I wouldn't use anyone else. Fylde Damp Proofing have done a number of jobs for me and I've always been really happy with the results. More recently, they have completed an almost full house renovation. Right from the start of the project the communication was excellent and all costings were clearly explained. Their online quote system is really clear and breaks down every costing so you know exactly how much everything is and your expectations are clear. Steve managed the project, and worked really hard to discuss any unforeseen issues (expected on a pre 1900s house) which came up and explained everything to me. The timeframe the team worked to, was like no other team of tradesmen, the whole job was completed in six weeks from start to finish, no corners cut and all completed to an extremely high standard. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Team Fylde Damp!

5🌟x100! Is much more of an accurate description of my experience dealing with this Company! From my first call to Beverley in the Office to the AMAZING continual communications and updates from Steve, who turned an immensely stressful situation of a complete flood of my Property caused by a Local Clearance Co.12days prior to completion of Sale into a pleasurable and positive episode. Being 300miles away and feeling completely helpless, useless and lost, Steve was at my Property within the hour of my initial call and took complete control of the situation, provided me total peace of mind which was priceless and greatly appreciated, completed the work required to an excellent standard and in record time, allowing my Sale to proceed immediately afterwards. I cannot speak highly enough and have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending….. to the point I have nominated them for an award of Excellence through Trading Standards….not only have they gone above and beyond Professionally but consistently provided patience and understanding to the fraught situation I found myself in…..they REALLY are a Diamond 💎 in the rough of Companies and I now consider and view as a 4th Emergency Service! I sincerely massively appreciate all your hard work, such a polite and courteous Team, who caused no disruptions to Neighbours whom have also been reaching out with countless positive comments and compliments from throughout the duration of time work was in progress 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟…… DON’T THINK TWICE! Make them your 1st call. Thanks to all at Fylde Damp Proofing/Darwin Group👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 you guys are FANTASTIC.

This is now the third time we have used fylde damp proofing, and as always a totally stress free professional completion, Matt is great cannot do enough to help, the lads working on the house had a key and came and went as they worked, no mess, dust, hassle, apart from the obvious on the inside re plaster removal etc, you wouldn't of even known they had been here each day, job done on time, good price and to be totally fair I have major ocd with work on my home and as always after job completion I cannot find fault which is amazing for myself, great job guys,👍 more than impressed with the work completed, The gents have gone above and beyond for my family and home and we cannot thank them enough.

Professional, tidy and good communication throughout the project. Would definitely recommend

I recently had Flyde & Damp Proofing carry out some work at my property, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Paul and Dan, the workmen, were professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient. They made sure to keep the house clean and tidy throughout the job, which I really appreciated. The quality of the work is excellent, and I can tell they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing damp proofing services!

Cavity wall insulation removal- Thank you to Arron, Matt and the team. ***** Came to inspect what was required. Offered a full service so I didn’t need to engage with other trades. Price - very competitive. Broke down the invoice into 3 areas. Removal, Outside work and Internal work. Communication- excellent throughout. Explained who would be here and what time. What would be happening and on what days. Work- excellent work but internal and external. The outside wall repels the water and new plaster drying out nicely. Team- All the guys who came to the house were friendly, clean and tidy work and cleaned up at the end of each day. Have already recommended them. 5* service throughout. Thank you!

I used Fylde Damp Proofing in 2022, to have some works carried out. In “my personal opinion” I would not use this company ever again or recommend them should I be asked if I know of a damp company.

Absolutely brilliant! Excellent service from the initial phone call to the office through to the craftsmen completing the work. A huge thanks to Matt, Paul, Matt & Tom - all highly skilled in their specific roles. The only Damp Proofing firm to use!

We had Fylde Damp Proofing come out to survey our damp issues in the front lounge and dining room. Matt the Surveyor was very professional and knowledgeable, he broke everything down from how the damp had occurred to how they would rectify the problems. Dean, Paul and Amardo were very clean and tidy, using floor protection and dust sheets. They also hovered and mopped at the end of everyday. The plaster finish is excellent I would highly recommend Fylde Damp Proofing to my work colleagues, friends and family. Thanks again!

Brilliant service from.start to finish and extremely knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience

Excellent service from start to finish. Weve had ongoing damp problems on a chimney breast for a number of years. Matthew, suggested a solution and the problem is now resolved. Its worth noting how tidy all members of the team were. Carpet protection laid, vacuuming up on regular basis. Highly recommended.

Mark arrived at the agreed time and date to assess our damp bay problem. He explained exactly how the problem arose and what actions we could/should take to cure it. Very professional and polite, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Wanted to say a big thank you to the team at Fylde Damp Proofing, I bought a house in St annes and sadly inherited mold and incredibly bad damp. Arron and his team came out and spent a few hours with me advising me on how to do things and how it would future proof my home. They started by installing a PIV Unit in my loft which immediately helped with condensation and also circulation. They then extracted all of the cavity wall insulation over the course of 3 days, they also installed some breathing blocks to help circulation. Most rooms then went back to brick, walls treated and then re skimmed. I was warned this would be a messy job, however they kept our home so incredibly clean and the team were so incredibly professional and friendly. They seem to have a really great friendly and supportive culture. I really cant recommend them enough, they are certainly experts and very fairly priced. Many Thanks

I asked Fylde Damp proofing to survey a new home for damp. It did need a lot of work doing which I was prepared for. I got the quote and instructed them to do the work when I moved in. I didn't even bother getting another quote as these guys were super friendly and professional, I wanted to go with them. They agreed a start date and turned up on time. Work was completed however I did have a small issue with the plasterwork done by one of their subcontractors. I spoke to Matt who immediately came to look at it for me. The contractor came back to rectify the issue straight away. Absolutely would 100% recommend this company to anyone needing damp work doing to their home.

If you ever need any damp issues, these are guys to see. I have used them several times. They get the job sorted. Absolute A1 + service.

Professional damp proof work undertaken on our kitchen by Paul Amado Dan and Bronson. Very clean and tidy and all have pride in their work. Our kitchen was put back in to a far better standard than it was before it came out. An exceptional standard of work. Thank you.

For an £800 job they tried to charge £1,650. Avoid at all costs. Rip off merchants

Great work would definitely recommend for the professional way they have carried out the works. Lads are hard workers and get the job done.

Had damp issue on a 1930s property front bay window surveyed by a guy called Matt, what a guy, very professional and informative, quote received via email within couple of days on email, which you could click to accept, the company came back to me promptly with an approximate start date, guy(s) that came to carry out the work were very professional and clean, left the place looking spotless, been couple of months now since the work and no further issues have arisen to the affected area, highly recommend Fylde Damp Proofing Ltd.

I asked Fylde Damp Proofing to have a look at 3 small patches of damp in one corner of my house. Matt came and assessed it and told me it was condensation. He gave me a great explanation of what the problem was and how to fix it. He didn’t need to do any work and he didn’t charge me anything. To give his time and expertise freely tells me all I need to know about this business. Fantastic!
