CROWN DAMP PROOFING

This Company is an absolute shambles, i paid to have my house “Damp Proofed” and ive had nothing but problems with it. Damp in every room, the plastering is horrendous and not done properly. I have Contacted trading standards to report this issue, aswell i am also going to be contacting the financial onbudsmen to get this looked into, this man WILL take your money. And WILL take advantage of anybody he can. Whether it be disabled, housebound or just vulnerable, he will con you. This goes as a warning to anyone wanting to use this company. DONT save your money or spend abit more and use somewhere better. Luckily there isnt an option to give 0* reviews because this incompetent man doesnt deserve the 1* i have given!!!!

Contacted Dave from CROWN DAMP PROOFING on 25th July 2023 with a damp problem we were having in 2 rooms. After several emails between both parties, Dave arranged a visit on 2nd August 2023, Dave came to the house and after taking a look at the damp issue, he informed us he would get back to us with a price for the job. We didn't hear anything back from Dave, so left it a little while, we then emailed him on the 19th September 2023 and have received no reply and sent a further email since then. Dave completely wasted our time, just an absolute Time waster.

Crown did a damp survey for me on a property I was about to purchase and explained all the work that needed carrying out clearly, once in the property Dave got the work done for me quickly and efficiently sending daily updates. Can’t recommend damp enough great lads, great work and a great price thanks again.

Dave came round at short notice to advise on damp issues in our cottage, he gave excellent and very practical advice regarding the condensation damp and could not have been more helpful. It is clear he has great experience and knowledge. Also excellent communication at all stages. We would recommend Crown wholeheartedly and will certainly be using them again ourselves.

My mother has recently had damp proof work carried out in the living room and under stairs cupboard by Dave and John at Crown Damp Proofing. The work was completed on time, at the estimate price and daily video updates were provided for progress to date. We are all very pleased with the works and would recommend anyone with damp problems to contact Crown.

I used Crown Damp Proofing to treat rising damp on a property purchase. Dave came out on short notice to carry out a survey on the property and the report was provided promptly with a competitive quote for the work required. They were able to work around a busy schedule to fit my job in on short notice and were a pleasure to deal with through out. House was left clean and tidy. They will be my go to for any future work of this nature and would recommend them highly!

Excellent communication, competitive price and accommodated me at short notice. Great standard of work too. Will be back for the next project!

We were given Daves details after our survey came back with evidence of woodworm and we needed someone to take a look. Dave was extremely helpful throughout, great communication, efficient and well worth the price. Would definitely recommend!

I contacted Crown following recommendation from a local surveyor to look at some issues in a grade II listed building me and my wife are buying. They attended at the date and time agreed and phoned through immediately following the visit, sending a video of relevent detail on WhatsApp later the same day. They were candid, clear and professional. I am writing this due to the exceptionally good service, expertise demonstrated and professional approach and on my experience would recommend without hesitation.

I have used this gentleman in a few of my properties very polite, trustworthy and honest person and very reasonable priced and works to a high standard.

Very happy with the service by Dave and his team from Crown damp proofing this week. Dave came round and completed the survey needed, explained everything, turned up on date and time arranged and gave a great price for the work to be done without any hidden costs. The job was completed on time and the job was left clean and tidy, very professional. Would definitely recommend and use again. Many Thanks

We have just had our living room damp proofed and would highly recommend. We were able to arrange the quote and a date to suit us all in a prompt manner and the top quality work was carried out in a timely and covid safe manner. We have some more work to be done and as soon as we raise the funds we will be delighted to get Dave and his team back to complete it.

I just bought a property recently, I thought the first thing to do was the damp proofing, But as expected there was a lot of delays on my side due hidden problems. Dave was very understanding and waited for me to catch up with my side. Now its done I am very happy with Dave's work. Very clean and tidy up each day during the work Definitely recommend. Anwar

Professional and accommodating from the outset discussed and agreed work kept in regular contact with videos of work as it was completed. Competitive price no issues at all . Great Job by Crown Damp proofing. Dave came and looked, gave me an excellent price, planned the work, came when he said he would and cracked on without an issue. Job done in three days. Over the moon. Great to see a small local business deliver exactly what he said they would, definitely recommend for damp proofing works. Mark Brown.

Excellent quality of work, done in a professional and timely manner with a good price and trust worthy people. I would highly recommend.

Can't fault this company in any way. The standard of their workmanship was 1st rate, their price was all inclusive (no hidden extras) their communications & explanations to any questions were great, they turned up when agreed & left the house very tidy once the job was finished. AlI in all, a very professional & knowledgeable team & I would certainly recommend this company to anyone who needs to have any damp proofing work carried out. Thanks very much to the Crown damp roofing team.

1st class service great advice giving clean and tidy 5 stars

Had some damp proof work done by this company recommended by neighbours. Quick, efficient, courtious, clean and competitively priced. Well pleased and happy to pass recommendation to others.

Dave was very accommodating, good value and clean and tidy..would use again and highly recommend

I highly recommend Crown Damp Proofing. Utterly professional, prompt and hassle free. A great job with superb finish. David and team were brilliant.

I needed some damp proof work done on my house prior to sale completion.I was dreading the process to be honest but Dave and his colleague John arrived on time each day and got on with the job methodically and efficiently. The whole job was done in 3 days and I am very happy with the results. After sending photos to the buyer we exchanged contracts within 5 days and the sale is going through soon.I don't want to have any more damp proof work doing in the future for obvious reasons but if I did I would definitely use Crown again.

We have used Crown Damp Proofing twice (on this occasion we had rising damp on internal walls) and have recommended Dave and his team to others. They do a really thorough job, ensuring that they find the cause of the problem and then rectify it swiftly. They are very professional and leave the job clean and tidy. We found their prices very fair considering the work that goes into repairing a damp problem. Highly recommended

Great price and great service would recommend this company to anyone

This is the fourth time I’ve used Crown Damproofing, in the process of selling my rental property and sone areas of damp were found. Dave came and did a survey, found the areas affected were less than the surveyor seemed to indicate. He dropped everything to do my job as he knew my sale depended on a quick turnaround. I now have a guarantee and a house report that I can show the purchaser. 5 years ago previously did a full downstairs dampproofing injection and plastering on my partners rental to date they’re had been no damp detected. After this job Fave did the complete damproofing on our farmhouse renovation. This entailed full injection / plastering and treatment of timber joists. Supporting them on felt, this was in 2011 and no damp has shown since. Recently I hand a lead pipe burst in the wall if my rental, this job entailed a full wall treatment and plastering. To date no problems to record. I feel guilty that I’ve not reviewed before, but the quick response this time made me realise I needed to do a review. You won’t be disappointed. 😊 T

Fantastic customer service. Dave stays intouch with you, keeping you informed at all times. Helped us to complete a full renovation of a large Victorian home with fantastic result. Many thanks again.

AMAZING!!! what a proffesional company, such a tidy job, so polite, couldnt do enough for us, turned up on time, the cost was realistic and they are registered and qualified dont use anyone else, they certainly know what they are talking about thank you Cris

Reliable friendly and professional service.Would use again .

Fair and honest quote. On time reliable and tidy, no complaints at all. Will be using their services again.

Got a qoute of Dave for some damp work in our new house , it was a few month later i contacted him and he arranged to do it asap , finished right on time cleaned all the mess hassle free . Would highley recomend.

Arranged for them to come round one afternoon but they didn't show up. Rearranged for last night but didn't show up again. Since writing my last review we realised Dave had actually called but there was some confusion over the address. We have been given a price and it is very competitive and we are booked in for September.
