We couldn’t have been happier with our build, Paul, Sam & the team built a double side extension. Always kept up to date with timeline, was in budget, builders arrived early and tidied up when they left, have since noticed a lot of other builders don’t do this! Someone just knocked at the door, they are looking for builders and said the finish looked so good! Can’t get a higher recommendation than that.

I have used their services a number of times over past 20 years, from building a new porch, moving internal doors, creating new internall walls and ceilings with latest insulation, remodelling a bedroom, plastering, tiling and including a major landscaping project in our garden with two new large patio areas. The onsite teams are always friendly, prompt and hardworking and the communication from Paul and Sam is very responsive and they keep you up to date on how the job is progressing. Would highly recommend their services.

100% recommend - Pococks built a 2 storey extension for us and they were great from start to finish. They planned the work to cause as little disruption to us as possible, turned up without fail every day, were all courteous/respectful and never let us down. 5 years later we have had no problems with the work, nothing to fix etc. I would use them again for any building work.

We had an extension that included an upstairs bathroom, kitchen extension and renovation to our lounge. The guys delivered and more. They are incredibly professional, courteous and respectful. They treated our property like it was their own and were considerate of our neighbours. Everything was coordinated by them with relative ease. They were just brilliant.

Just wanted to say how happy and delighted we are with the extension done to our property. We were recommended Paul Pocock (W Pocock & Sons) by our neighbours who had a similar project done 2 years prior. They were also delighted with their work, hence the recommendation. From the start Paul was amazing and we felt he was the man for the job…Throughout the whole project, everyone was hard working, always on time, thoughtful, respectful, knowledgeable and just really, really lovely! The main team assigned to us were Jamie, Clive and Kyle. They were on site everyday. Always there before time, ready to work, and always cheery. They always worked really hard and were there the whole day. They always communicated and updated everything clearly, and when we needed to make any decisions Jamie would talk through what our options were and came up with some amazing suggestions and small tweaks that we had not even considered, these suggestions really made some difference to how the new extension works for us. Everything was explained to us thoroughly, in a way that made sense and wasn't condescending at any point. We were so impressed with how everything just flowed and was managed - it always appeared seamless to us, for the whole time of the build. Some people had said that having building work is extremely stressful and arduous to have builders in for a long time, but we didn't find this at all. Jamie, Clive and Kyle were completely lovely, and it didn't feel like a chore to have them there. It actually felt strange not having them here when it was finished! Honestly, the nicest, helpful, hard working, knowledgeable builders out there, in my opinion. I can highly recommend Pococks. We now have a lovely remodelled and rebuilt kitchen and conservatory, thanks to the wonderful team of Sam, Paul, Kevin, Danny, Kyle and Ben. They delivered our project on time and on budget. The team always arrived when they said they would and worked hard when they were here. They were experienced, professional and friendly, We stayed living in our house throughout the project and they made everything as easy as they could for us. All in all they are a great family firm and I have no hesitation in in recommending them very highly.

We had used Pococks for a couple of small jobs, with good results, before engaging them to carry out a major remodelling and extension for us. They were splendid. Good communications throughout, some great ideas fed in both before and during the works which have massively enhanced the outcome. They proved flexible, fairly priced, reliable and punctual. The stage payment schedule was clear and best of all the time schedule was adhered to so that the work was completed slightly ahead of time. We recommended them to our daughter, who was also very pleased with them. Some truly top notch people on the team, the tiler and plasterer were just excellent. The electrical work is extremely tidy. The neighbours who had contact with them said they were polite, friendly, respectful, no trouble at all. What more can you ask?

We contacted Pococks based on their local reputation, as we wanted a reliable building firm to do some significant work to both the downstairs and upstairs of our Victorian house. From start to finish they were excellent. Highly professional, polite, hard working, and extremely good at their job. As with many older houses, unforeseen challenges required changes to the plans and the team at Pococks was happy to accommodate these. They were also great at solving a number of unexpected problems that arose when parts of the building were knocked through. Having builders in your house for several weeks can be very disruptive but Pococks kept the disturbance to a minimum. The whole team was friendly and easy to get on with too. We were delighted with the results and received so many compliments on a successful house transformation. We highly recommend Pococks.

I engaged Paul Pocock and his team on the recommendation of neighbours to make various alterations to my house, including the removal of a large conservatory, the extension of the kitchen into a breakfast room, creation of a garden room and utility room, and conversion of the study into a shower room. The works were completed with skill and the team was a pleasure to deal with. The site was left tidy each evening and communication was excellent. The building work was completed with two patios leading onto the garden. I am so enjoying my new space and would not hesitate to engage Pocock & Sons for my next project.

Great company to deal with from start to finish for a rebuild of external wall which wasn’t a straightforward job. They really care about what they do and everything was transparent and easy to arrange. On the day the guys turned up you could see how well they all worked together, everything was really professional and no mess, I’ll 100% use them again in the future.

We used Pocock’s for a big building project which involved our grade 2 listed vicarage. It was a big decision to move away from our small builder and use someone different. Thankfully we chose Pocock’s. We had a tight timescale which they met, always kept us updated with all the issues and didn’t go over budget. Sam and his team did a fantastic job converting our kitchen and living room into an open-plan space. The project included creating a new utility room and repositioning our cloakroom. Very happy with the work done by Sam and his team building our extension. The quality of work was great and I was able to ask questions and influence how things were done throughout. Unbelievable entity - from when accepting the estimate for our complete rebuild, they were true to their word and started on the agreed date and were on site every day thereafter (never missed a day), with the project completed on time. Sam and his team built our kitchen extension just after the lockdown ended. I remember he took one look at the architect’s plans and knew what to do immediately! More importantly, the work was completed on time and on budget (Sam would be there at 7am every morning). More importantly still, it’s brilliant and we love it. Sam and his team are incredibly courteous and respectful. They also came back a few weeks afterwards to build a much smaller BBQ and arbour! Also fantastic.

Sam and the team knocked down an internal wall and replaced a back door, a patio door & part of an external wall with bifolds across the back of the house, creating an open plan kitchen and dining room. I can't recommend W. Pocock & Sons highly enough. The job came in on budget, the team were very courteous & professional, the job was completed on schedule, and Sam was available at all times. I wouldn't hesitate using them again.

Very pleased with the results! I contacted Paul as my window lintel fell down. Paul was very helpful since the very beginning and gave me options with a reasonable price. His team came last Wednesday and throughout the conduction of their work they were very courteous, puntual and professional.
