Joe was amazing at sorting out all of the works to complete our house after a fire. He was always available, friendly and professional making sure we were kept up to date and happy along the way. We have had positive dealings with CDM from start to finish. CDM have been employed by insurers to repair damage due to subsidence. John- Paul (JP) has kept us up to date with proceedings with humour and good grace. He has dealt with organising Everything from house contents removal/storage, asbestos removal, external wall rebuilding, internal wall plaster repairs and redecorating…. Plus he has liaised with the assessor to secure all the extra works which needed to be carried out. So I’m one happy

We needed some gas pipes rerouted due to a leak in the original underfloor pipework. CDM organised a contractor to come out and assess the job and once agreed the job was carried out quickly and efficiently.

We had a fairly severe leak in our kitchen, with tenants in situ. Our insurance company appointed CDM Contractors, our contact being John-Paul, to carry out the repairs. Communication with John-Paul was perfect, he provided us with regular updates, answered all our questions and liaised with our tenants and letting agents incredibly efficiently. John-Paul (and CDM) handled a stressful situation impeccably and we couldn't have asked for more!

Our house flooded from the bathroom back in January. Our claim was taken care of by John Paul at CDM. Firstly I’d like to thank him and his team for exceptional standards of work within the time frame he set. Super happy with the end results! CDM were professional, efficient and resourceful. We had three rental properties which suffered a minor flood causing the tenants to be displaced. Right from the start, Nick and Rod worked closely with us explaining the process, guiding us through what needed to be done and when and they were quick to answer any queries we had. They were supremely helpful, working above and beyond to ensure they stuck within their estimated completion dates - which they have done. I would highly recommend CDM and will be quite sad to see them go! But our tenants are of course very happy to be back in their homes again!

On time and quick estimating, and helped us with progressing the insurance claim as quickly as insurance will able. Then the work was done reasonably quickly and it looks like a good job as far as I can tell. Only minor issue was that it was hard to get hold of the insurance team at CDM sometimes.

The project was all planned out with detailed timelines allowing for the removal, build a new base for the new cabin, Then the chippy worked his magic on building a new flooring and bar counter and then electrics went in and then the final week the exterior was treated and painted to a very high standard and will last for years. Long and complex job completed today, with multiple CDM (and non-CDM) contractors on and off site at varying times. Really impressed with the central project management and co-ordination, with all communications being done by phone (none of this impersonal instant messaging nonsense). The contractors themselves were obviously very experienced and of a high standard and clearly wanted to 'do things' properly (and did so). Any work this complex has minor niggles and these were addressed at the time, promptly. Hugely impressed that in a world of 'refurbishment cowboys' there are still people we can turn to, who have 'old school' values of customer satisfaction, professional pride and quality. Well done!

CDM we're very helpful from the get go. Once appointed by the Loss Adjuster to fix the leak in my kitchen, they had a professional approach to get the job sorted out, going above and beyond to repair and redecorate the whole of my downstairs. They turned up on time each day (inspite of coming all the way from Portsmouth), were considerate and always tidied up at the end of each day. They have a number of skilled trades people including plumbers, chippies, painters and decorators, and are able to schedule them appropriately. It's also good to see they are bringing on apprentices (& are properly supervised) in different trades. We were affected by a burst pipe, just before Christmas, located in a really difficult place to locate and fix. Nick was at amazing at getting our complex job completed in a couple of weeks as opposed to the couple of months we’d been quoted by other contractors. This is the first time in a long time I am happy to recommend and I do so with enthusiasm as they have restored my trust in trades. CDM were brought in after a long 2 year insurance claim that had not been finished to a high enough standard.. Daniel was great from the start, he could see I had lost trust and made sure I was updated every step of the way. We had lots done, all by very professional tradesmen, from plumbers to plasterers to electricians and carpenters, all were prompt, tidy, knowledgeable and friendly. Mark and Les were with us for 4 weeks, they were tasked with re decorating from top to bottom and now my house looks like a home again, I was dreading this time but they were great at getting on and understood my needs due to disability and also the needs of my dogs. We needed a replacement fire door for the entrance to our flat. CDM quoted for the replacement and were very efficient at ordering and fitting it. The re-decoration was so well done that the building inspector did not believe it was a complete replacement - full door frame and door. Everything was carried out to a high standard and left tidy.

CDM we're appointed to repair and decorate my house following subsidence damage. I wasn't at home when the repairs took place as four ceilings needed to be taken down and replaced. This work and the plastering work were done very quickly and the results are amazing. The decorator, Dean, was friendly and helpful and has made my home lovely again. Dan Fegan has been my point of contact with regards to the repairing of my bathroom, kitchen and conservatory after suffering an underfloor leak. Dan has been fantastic in keeping me informed of when various trades were coming out to do repair works. All the trades who work for CDM have been nothing but professional and very courteous always clearing up after themselves. Nothing is too much trouble for Dan and he will bend over backwards to keep you happy. All in all a fantastic company to use

Our property suffered extensive damage due to a leaking mains tank in the loft void, which affected 3 bedrooms, a dressing room, hall/stairs and landing, bathroom, kitchen/breakfast room, dining room and downstairs cloakroom. Ceilings, floors and plasterboard had to be removed, and we had to wait a long time for the insurance company to sort out our claim. The first contractor they appointed was useless, they would not give dates when they could do the work, never responded to phone calls and messages and even their office never returned calls. So we asked the insurance company to appoint a new contractor. CDM were then appointed and Rudy Davis was the surveyor who managed and organised all the trades, i.e. carpenters, plasterers, electricians, plumbers, painters & decorators, tilers etc. He organised the new tiled flooring in our kitchen/breakfast room, and LVT flooring in the hall, cloakroom and dining room, and the new bathroom suites. Any hiccups along the way he sorted for us, resulting in a good quality finish, which we are very pleased with. Our house looks like the home it used to be before the escape of water, and we are very happy with CDMs work and especially Rudy who has been very helpful and accommodating throughout. CDM were excellent - all the various contractors turned up on their allotted day and at the specified time - their standard of workmanship was great. My project manager kept me updated with the progress of the job with weekly reports and photos - he was always happy to sort out any queries. Following water ingress after a storm, the insurance company from hell have taken 17 months to get their act together. The one and only thing I can commend them on is the fact they gave the rectification works to CDM . Daniel was a joy to discuss things with and he put our minds at rest and emplaned everything to us in detail. During the redecorations he kept in touch with us to make sure we were happy with everything being done. Ian was an absolute treasure and ensured we were able to carry on without major disruption. The standard of work was brilliant as was the coving work carried out by Darren. I could not praise this company highly enough

We had a major water leak from the flat above which caused extensive damage throughout our apartment. Our insurers appointed Daniel and his team at CDM to repair and decorate throughout. Communication was excellent (unlike trying to talk to the loss adjusters!) and the works were completed on time and to our great satisfaction.

From start to finish CDM have been extremely helpful after our wall fell down during a storm. We had previously had a very bad experience with another insurance contractor so I was happy that CDM, especially John-Paul, communicated with us every step of the way. He even corrected the mistake our insurance company made. He has made the works process go very smoothly for my parents and the quality of the work was carried out to a high standard.

CDM did a wonderful job for my elderly father. They safely removed his entire damaged ceiling which sadly had asbestos in it. They then sent contractors round to put up a brand new ceiling and finally, today they sent their decorator to paint the new ceiling. My dad is almost 88 and all the workmen were very kind and courteous and did a lovely professional job. Thank you

We had a flood from a bath overflowing , a ceiling collapsed and it wrecked our lounge and also affected the stairway, landing and Kitchen. We had to wait a long time for the insurers to sort out the claim, but the contractors They appointed, CDM, were great. Dan Fegan organised all the trades, electrics plasterers, paint, and a new oak floor. All of the work was great, and well coordinated. The floor was perfect, and the paintwork included all of the connected areas. The electricians made several visits to check everything, and tilers replaced our ruined hearth. We got our house back, and we are very happy with all of CDMs work.

After major water damage, our entire ground floor had to be gutted, dried out and refitted. From start to finish, the firm were brilliant. The whole process was superbly organised by a fantastic project manager (Rudy). All of the tradesmen, plumbers, carpenters, driers, fitters, floorers, decorators, gasmen and others, were really pleasant and did work to the highest standard. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone but CDM organised everything, explained and reassured us throughout and made the whole process as painless as possible. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

CDM built me a new outside wall and decorated my house after a car crashed into it. They were simply brilliant. Very professional, responsive and they did an excellent job. I have recently had work carried out at my property by CDM contractors and can honestly say my faith in human kind has been restored. After waiting a long time for my insurance company to finally agree for work to get done at my house Dan from CDM has been hands on every step of the way going above and beyond to get my problems from a leak in the ceiling fixed and restoring my house to being functional again. From the moment someone came to my property I felt comfortable letting them carry out the works. I don’t let people in my house very often but I was happy with contractors that came. Kyle and his team have done extensive works on our fire doors both replacements and remedial. They have been hugely professional throughout and any snagging has been sorted quickly and to a high standard. Special mention must go to Rob who has been a constant during the projects and has always fully explained the work, the process and has answered every silly question myself or others have asked. I have known CDM Contractors for several years, and have watched them grow from a relatively small business to a quite large well respected company. They run jobs in a professional manner and are very good at communicating between their management team and their guys on site. Project was to fit 5 bedroom fd30s fire doors in hmo. Also renovating 1 existing fd30 with intumescent strips and building a pair of cupboard doors. Dealt with Luke, who always responded quickly and ensured quality was excellent. Customer service was great. Job was well done and they cleared up everyday so my tenants were happy. I would recommend them.

CDM Contractors were appointed by insurers, to reinstate my mums lounge after a massive water leak. The damage to the ceiling had meant the whole lounge needed decorating as well as repairs to the ceiling. They were reliable, professional and kept me informed throughout the works. They were also very respectable and friendly to my elderly mum, who lives on her own. They were a breath of fresh air after the terrible service received from insurers. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

With CDM as our single contractor we have recently completed a major set of internal and external remedial works to a building orginating in 1800s and since converted into 10 self contained apartments. The work has been challenging over a 3 month period of poor weather and we can only thank Kyle Legge and his excellent team for their tenacity to overcome unfavourable conditions and with their willingness to be available when possible and complete to a high standard which is much admired. I can only recommend that you consider employing CDM so that you can enjoy the satisfaction, in the same way, of having a job done well supported by abilities and enthusiasm which was welcomed by all.

I sent this review very late last night and obviously suffered a "senior" moment, as I sent it before I had completed it. Apologies. There is one other person I have to mention, Rob Russell, who attended on Friday to check and sign off the doors and carry out any minor adjustments. However, after a long day and also having driven up from Portsmouth, I'm sure the last thing he wanted was to help out two elderly damsels in distress by fixing their new door bells, especially as he had told his wife he was on his way home! (Sorry Mrs Russell). He was so kind and helpful and this wasn't part of his job, but he obviously has a heart and we were so grateful for that. Thank you Rob. I live in a block of flats in Beckenham, Kent. I just had to post my own personal thanks for the amazing team that attended the property last week. Jack, Dean and Lewis, who replaced 14 new front doors in four days which, in itself, I think is amazing, without taking into account a minimum drive of 2 hours from Portsmouth to Beckenham and return each day. They arrived by 8am every day, worked continuously, were totally dedicated to their work (even Lewis, who I assume is an apprentice and being well trained). They were extremely professional, very polite and helpful and went above and beyond. They deserve every accolade going. This post may appear a little "over the top" but you can probably tell that we are so unused to receiving such amazing service, and we certainly have on this occasion. It is very easy to complain about things (sadly I have to do it quite often) but not too many people will bother to thank those that do a very fine job. CDM were selected as they offered the most competitive quote and came across as very competent and knowledgable on their site visit. They were punctual, very helpful and polite and well presented.
