My first visit to Jaquie's today and they did a great job highlighting my hair! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Hair was not cut to the style I wanted. I asked for a wash cut and blow dry and for my hair to be cut to my shoulders. Instead I got hair that was cut to my neck and very frizzy, rather like a afro! Totally different to the picture that was shown to me in the salon. I was told that I need to go home and use my own straighteners to get the style I want. She would charge more if she did it !Also cut my 10 year old daughters hair, it was also awful, nothing close to what we asked for. a complete car crash !. Whole experience was very bad. Wont be going back there again. Avoid like the plague !
I went to this hairdressers last month for a dry cut and spritz, then blow dry ( I had just washed my hair at home - quite a palaver with hearing aids and earplugs, etc.) and just wanted a cut to restore some shape, followed by a cursory blow dry after spritzing. I was pleased with the result, but when I went to pay I could hardly believe my ears when she said it was £40! We have recently moved to the area, and in my old area this used to cost me £14. Add to that a tip of £4 and its is even worse. This is a non high street hairdressers, so it makes you wonder what they must charge on the High Street - £100 perhaps for a cut & blow dry? Overall, I am not impressed, and will not be going back there.
Have been going to Jaquie's for a while and learnt that healthy hair is as important as styling. The girls are happy to advise, but ready to listen how you would really like your hair! There's always a complimentary coffee and the prices are not those of the high street.
