They came to look at my washing machine because whilst spinning one side of it came out from under the worktop nd as soon as l heard the noise l had to go in nd push it back under with my hip, so they said it needs new Dampers they ordered them nd phoned me two days later to come nd fit them, the same chap came Michael very pleasant young man he is nd in a few mins he had put them in nd the washer was spinning like it always did before, quietly !!! My integrated Bosch oven stopped heating whilst fan and grill still worked. Emailed DH and within ashore space of time had pricing clearly explained and visit booked. This was all on a weekend too. Visit today and excellent engineer and oven sorted. Fabulous service from start to finish. Highly recomend.

n engineer attended my property on behalf of 24|7 Home Rescue as part of an insurance repair. He advised me that the hob was repairable but that replacement parts needed to be ordered. He explained that if the parts were expensive, I might have to pay for them myself, but he would return and complete the repair without any additional labour charge. However, the report provided to 24|7 Home Rescue told a completely different story. I was later informed that the hob was beyond economical repair and that nothing further could be done. I explained that I was willing to pay for the required parts—or even purchase a replacement hob—provided the engineer returned to fit it, as he had indicated. This was refused. The engineer should not have given me these assurances if he was not authorised to make that decision. The conflicting information has caused considerable inconvenience and left me with no confidence in either the engineer or 24|7 Home Rescue. I must now buy a replacement hob and pay an independent Gas Safe engineer to install it. This has left me facing additional and avoidable costs. I am extremely disappointed with the service. Based on my experience, customers should be cautious about relying on verbal assurances from engineers, as the report given afterwards may be completely different.

Communication excellent problem quickly identified by Andrew Devey and the pump on my tumble dryer replaced quickly. Polite and courteous engineer.

Engineer Nikie telephoned 35 mins prior to arrival to update time of visit. Nikie was equipped, knew the task in hand, and swiftly proceeded to fix the problem and didn't need anything further from me until the job was completed, at which point he asked for kitchen roll to clean the working area. Nikie is both knowledgeable and efficient in his role. It is also evident from chatting that he is happy in his work and spoke highly of the company, which says a lot! Thankyou Nikie

We called Domestic Heroes about a broken oven, and an engineer came out the same day. The engineer, Mark Ward, called 20 minutes prior to his arrival as requested. Mark was friendly, professional and tidy. Our oven was fixed in the visit and we are really pleased with the service received. Thank you!

Nikie (engineer) called in advance and turned up on time. He explained what he was doing and looking for as he checked over our oven. He diagnosed the problem and explained next steps including time frame for replacement parts. Initial payment made for call out, receipt received instantly via email. So far so good, will wait for the second visit for repair but certainly at this stage I am very happy with the service and will recommend this company. Follow up visit (20th August) just as good as the initial visit, Nikie again, called in advance with an ETA, arrived on time and successfully repaired our oven. Very happy once again and reasonably priced. Will definately use this compaby again

Our repairman sorted the issue that we’ve been having with our washing machine quickly and professional. He was very polite and explained what was causing the problem.

Really disappointed with the service from Domestic Heroes. I paid £99 to repair my integrated AEG dishwasher because I trusted the fault would be properly fixed. Looking back, I honestly feel £99 was a lot of money for the work that was carried out. The engineer’s report says the blockage was cleared, the water was removed from the base, the waste hose was adjusted and the dishwasher was tested before he left. Literally one day after the 3-month guarantee expired, the dishwasher came up with the same i30 anti-flood fault. I’m not talking about weeks or months later. It was one day. I contacted them straight away hoping they would at least inspect it as a goodwill gesture. Instead, I was told I had to pay another £99. What really disappointed me was the lack of customer care. Without even inspecting the dishwasher, they decided it must be a new fault and expected me to pay another call-out charge. How can anyone know that without even looking at the appliance? I understand companies have warranty policies, but I also believe businesses should use a bit of common sense. When a customer reports what appears to be the same fault just one day after the guarantee expires, the least you would expect is a goodwill inspection instead of being asked for another £99. £99 is a lot of money, and I paid it in good faith expecting the repair to last. I wasn’t expecting to be back in exactly the same situation just over three months later. Very disappointed with the way this was handled. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this company.

I had problems with my built in Belling oven, it simply wouldn't switch on; no gas and no ignition. I called Domestic Heroes and they sent one of the engineers, Nikie Warr. The problem was sorted within 15 minutes and I found Nikie to be a model professional, a true asset to Domestic Heroes but also to the profession over all. Nikie was simply outstanding, explained the problem and then fixed it with no problems at all. I couldn't recommend a better person and a better organisation to sort out any domestic appliance related issues. Simply the best and a massive 10 out of 10. With a freezer full of food potentially having to be binned if it couldn't be repaired I was so relieved that Mark from Domestic Heroes diagnosed it only needs defrosting once a year for 48 hours at the end of summer/autumn as freezers work hardest in the summer. His diagnosis has saved me a large sum of money (well over £1000) and I was only charged the callout fee. I will definitely be using this company when anything else stops working as they came out a day after I rang them so very prompt service and in the phone call advised I keep the freezer door closed till Mark arrived

Didn’t know who to call to get my range oven fixed as the delonghi recommended engineer didn’t answer my emails or calls. Called domestic heroes as a local firm. They were flexible in when the engineer could attend and didn’t make me wait to long for an appt. Came on a convenient day for me, fixed my oven fairly quickly and explained what had gone wrong with it. Andrew, the engineer was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The fee was very reasonable. I would recommend domestic heroes.

Great service. Technician Andrew Devey arrived at the front end of the time slot and phoned 15 minutes before to say on his way. Quickly analysed the issue with my Rangemaster cooker and was on his way in 20 minutes. I'd say they were competitively priced, I think I could have got it done a bit cheaper but very happy with the service so no complaints.

From my initial contact which was replied to within half an hour, to the first visit by friendly and polite engineer Rob Evans who called to say he was 15 minutes away, he conscientiously investigated our washing machine fault, to the options for repair or replacement which arrived by email about 15 minutes after Rob's visit, we were extremely impressed by the speed and efficiency of Domestic Heroes' work ethos. I was kept regularly updated by Olivia about the replacement washer and a week later we have a shiny new washing machine provided and installed by Rob and his colleague (sorry didn't catch his name) both cheerful and efficient and I didn't need to take time off work because the whole process was done in 20 minutes by 8 a.m.! Very happy and definitely would call for help again.

The lower section in our gas double oven would not light. As it was at least ten years old and obsolete we had little hope of a repair. Found Domestic Heroes online, emailed them and had an instant reply, so arranged a call. On the day they gave a time slot and engineer phoned when 20 minutes away. Many say they will do this but fail. The engineer Nick assessed the fault and actually saved the cost of a new part by rerouting a cable bypassing the problem. Full marks for that. The oven now lights even more efficiently. Really pleased we found this company who actually repair gas ovens and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Came out next day, prompt updates as to when they would arrive and fixed my dishwasher in half an hour. Would highly recommend!

My eight-year-old washing machine was working properly and then suddenly stopped and turned off. I reported this to Domestic Heroes, and when the engineer came, he found that only the plug had burned and he replaced it. However, after his visit, additional problems appeared with the machine. When I contacted the company, they said the machine must have already been like this before the visit, which I do not agree with. I expected clearer responsibility, and I am extremely disappointed!!

This is the second time we have used Domestic Heroes and on both occasions we have been delighted with the service. This time we had cracked the glass on our hob and it was assessed and sorted out quickly and efficiently. Both Scott and Nick were excellent at their jobs and very helpful. I'm always sceptical about using repair companies, but I have to say Domestic Heroes have been amazing, I had an issue with my fridge Freezer, albeit we were unable to fix it as it was financially unviable (potentially needed a new door as the insulation had broken down), the professionalism and friendliness of the technicians and on the phone support team, are unrivalled. Without a doubt I won't hesitate in using the team again or in recommending them for anyone needing support in the area. 5 stars all day every day.

Domestic Heroes were booked via our Domestic and General Policy as it required an LPG certified engineer to address the problem with our cooker. The booking process was painless and from the point of booking the communication was excellent. The engineer arrived on the booked date, in the time window specified by the early morning text. The engineer then phoned in advance to confirm his visit. He was polite, efficient and friendly. He identified a need for new parts which he ordered whilst with us. Within an hour of him leaving an email was received to confirm the parts had been ordered and that they would be back in touch to reschedule once received. Very pleased with the high levels of customer care shown by Domestic & General, Domestic Heroes and the Engineer. 1 week later the replacement parts have been fitted in the confirmed time slot. Worked efficiently and politely. All the burners on our cooker are now working like new, and look like new. 5-star rating given after the first visit fully justified.

Domestic heroes were amazing. Very polite. Jake, Diagnosed fault within a couple of minutes that the zanussi engineer couldn't even be bothered to diagnose. Got to problem and cleaned out fault level sensor on my dishwasher. Jake was brilliant and got job done ASAP. He even fitted back panel that was left on floor by zanussi engineer. Jake waited for a 12 min diagnostic wash on dishwasher to make sure appliance was operating correctly. Not even the zanussi engineer bothered doing this. He even told me to email or contact DOMESTIC HEROES, if any further problems persisted. Brilliant customer service and excellent communication form Domestic Heroes.

Due to having repeated problems with a Hisense dishwashers comms cable and PCB we called out Domestic Heroes. The issue was quickly diagnosed and they supplied two very competitive quotes to repair or replace. We decided on the replacement option due to the issues with the appliance. The service by all the Domestic Heroes team has been excellent with a fast turnaround. I highly recommend them and we will definitely use them again for any home appliance issues.

The text with my time slot arrived in the middle of the night, so it would be great if that was earlier, but when Jake carried came to carry out the work he was fantastic. Very polite and respectful, explained the work, and even went above and beyond in putting the machine back in place, by fixing a clash it had with an adjacent cupboard door. Would use again.

Jake was absolutely fantastic and a really nice guy. Fixed our tumble dryer which had been in storage for 18 months, took time to find out what the issue was and sorted it and put it back all clean and tidy. He even fixed the dodgy button which we didn’t ask him to do! Thank you Jake 🙌

Jake came out to check a fault on our fridge freezer. He was here literally a minute or two and diagnosed the problem straight away. Great service and no issues.

Of course time will tell if the handle on our NEFF hide and slide remains remains in place. Not many repairers would come to look at a hide and slide. But Jake arrived and was so professional and was determined to see the job through to completion, which he did. Would highly recommend.

Jake arrived within the time zone and completed the job in a few minutes. Polite friendly, and hope the fridge freezer ice machine now works( need to see tomorrow) This was the second call out from DH the previous call out was cancelled due to them not informing me of the need to shut down freezer. It was booked in 2 weeks before hand and the evening before had a call advising me of the need to empty freezer. Had to cancel that appointment and buy a new freezer to store food. No apologies from DH to say sorry for not informing me of their requirements. I was informed that there is a note on file that they forgot to tell me. - no apology they didn’t really care - they were not bothered as they had already been paid no real issue to them as knew there was little I could do ! Which was true. Jake came a few days later to fix the problem and it took him a few minutes. But he was not to blame for the totally poor administration of DH. He competed the job without a problem. There was really no need to defrost the ice maker as no ice in it and job took less than 15 minutes. A very expensive repair but cheaper than buying a new American fridge freezer. ( but had to buy a small freezer to put the frozen food in ! For a day.

Had a faulty dishwasher, found this company online, they responded quickly and managed to get an engineer out within a few days, initial diagnostic was done very professionally, was told what tge exact fault was and got emailed a detailed report, cost was £60 which I didn't think was too bad Quoted me for a new part which I accepted, cane again a few days later after the part had arrived, fitted it with no issues, very professional again, would highly recommend this company. Part was £140 and labour was £40, so all in for £240, still alot less than a new dishwasher

Overall very positive experience. Only small issue was that on the day of the first scheduled visit we had 20 minutes notice that the Engineer was unwell and the job had to be rescheduled. I'd planned my week to be available to work from home that day so had to reset my plans. After then all went really well with diagnosis of the problem and repair went very smoothly.

Having read Domestics Heroes review online, we decide to use them to repair our oven. We was not disappointed, the repair was booked in for the next day. The engineer Nick arrived on time, introduce himself and we immediately felt at ease. We were very impressed with the way he diagnosed the issue and gave us verbal report of what needs doing. We required a new fan, which he ordered for us and explained how we can use the oven pending the fitting of the fan. Dan came and fitted the fan, at the earliest opportunity, it didn't take long. We also very impressed with Dan and he explained all, similar to Nick, definitely the man. Overall we were very happy with the company, the cost, the staff and have no hesitation in recommending them to new customers.

Domestic Heroes attended for a non working oven. They got the oven timer working - but the tenant said that there was no heat from the oven after they left so I reported it. Following a prompt phone call from Steve DH who listened carefully to the difficulty, we agreed on a course of action which, again, happened very quickly. The problem was sorted. I live several hundred miles away and could not just “pop in” to sort it out so a huge thanks to Steve and the team at Domestic Heroes.

I rang Domestic Heroes they sent out Nick who had a look and came up with a fantastic solution that only cost me £126.86 for parts. If it was not for Nick I was looking at £3,000 for a new cooker. Had Jake visit today who identified the problem quickly and corrected it with ease (foreign object in the waste pump, as I suspected but was unsure how to access myself). WARNING! By phoning this company you are agreeing to terms and conditions on their website that you may not already have read. If you agree to someone visiting your home, this means you have already agreed to a £25 charge if you cancel within 12 hours of the appointment. So if you call at the end of the working day and book a visit for the next day, you've already run out of time to cancel. They will forgive the £25 cancellation fee at their discretion, however, I am not impressed by their discretion following my experience with them this morning. My father-in-law booked at 2:30pm and was held to T&C's on a website he hadn't read. The person on the phone didn't double-check he was aware of the cancellation fee or anything. He woke the next morning and looked at the price of new dryers and decided he'd buy one instead. He called at 11am to cancel a 4pm appointment and was told he had to pay £25. The company would not forgive the fee because he mentioned the 12 hour cancellation on the phone call THE NEXT DAY. i.e. they can prove he knew about it AFTER he was already being held to pay for it. He is 90 years old. He doesn't do online banking through fear of his money being stolen, he doesn't give out card details over the phone for the same reason. He would have had to travel into the town centre to his bank, despite barely being able to walk due to needing hip replacements but having a heart too weak to undergo the operation. The poor man has been worried sick about how he is going to pay before he finally reached out and asked for help. In the meantime, he's been receiving multiple messages from Domestic "heroes" demanding money from him! I was reassured by the manager at Domestic Heroes that they are within the law to hold him to terms and conditions he hasn't read, even without checking that he'd read them. So well done, Domestic Heroes, you got your £25, but you lost me as a customer and you've lost him too. Domestic Heroes replied "Peter informed us that if we charge him, he will leave a negative review." That is correct. They pestered an old man for money by holding him to terms and conditions he had no knowledge of. They wouldn't use their discretion to cancel a fee he didn't know about, so yes I am here complaining. They also said "It is unfortunate when individuals feel the need to exert pressure on businesses that are simply adhering to their policies." On the contrary. I think it's disgusting to send repeated demands for money in a single day to a man in his 90's with a bad heart for charges on a company policy he knew nothing about - and their website says "no hidden charges". Well, they are pretty well hidden if you phone, and then don't say "please wait 10 minutes whilst I go to your website and read everything". How about the operator on the phone tells the customer about these charges that aren't hidden? Real heroes know which battles are worth winning!

Domestic Heroes have just replaced our old Neff gas hob as some of the igniters had failed. They first tried to repair the old hob, but couldn't source the parts needed, which were obsolete, so gave us the option to renew the complete hob, which we accepted. Domestic Heroes obtained the new hob and fitted it with a minimum of fuss; keeping us informed beforehand. Very satisfied with this company.

Nick was very polite and kept me informed of arrival and even though he was unable to fix the cooker on the day he did order all the parts necessary for repair which were all in stock for him to return in about a week to finish off the work. Would recommend.

Professional and efficient hob repair by Scott

The fitter who came to mend the oven was exceptionally good and every thing is now fine. However, Your admin dept sent an electrician When I explicitly told you that the oven and hob operates on GAS. So, all in all that resulted having to wait another week for the correct fitter so not impressed.

Nicky, the engineer that came down was brilliant, knowledgeable and skillful. While he was looking at the cooker my carer for my dad, child locked the microwave by accident. Nicky was right next to me and the carer and he swooped in like a hero (a Domestic Hero) and clocked the microwave - meaning he sorted it out in 1 minute. Nicky had amazing customer service skills. He should definitely get a bonus.

After being let down by another engineer, the service from Domestic Heroes was great. Solid communication keeping us informed & the issue with our oven resolved efficiently, professionally & reasonably.......highly recommended.

My engineer Nick was above and beyond. He was extremely professional and reassured me when I was worried that my appliance wouldn't be working prior to having my poorly 80 year old Mum for Christmas. My cooker was unsafe. However, it has now been tested and I am sure the job took longer than expected. Sorry about that Nick. I now feel quite confident thanks to Nick and the rest of the team, that Mum and I and my little old age Maltese Terrier, age 15, will have a good Christmas. Excellent service from Domestic Heroes. The 1st engineer came out and diagnosed the issue with my cooker, within a couple of days they sent a quotation which I agreed. The 2nd engineer came and fixed the new elements to my cooker competently and quickly within the agreed timescale.

The engineer, Scott Goodby, kept me fully informed of his likely time of arrival which was at the time quoted. He worked efficiently to identify the fault and replace the component. I would certainly use this company again. The repair was significantly less than the cost of replacement.

Have had to order specific parts so job not yet sorted but cannot fault domestic heroes so far. Arrived on time, called before hand and have explained everything so know what the issue is and how it can fixed. Look forward to the next visit and completion :)
