Goodwin Electrical Ltd

Sadly didn’t come back when they stated they would and it has been many weeks now.

Great service, product and value. Quick responses and top quality everything - lots of research showed me a high quality aircon machine, all queries efficiently answered, lovely guys at installation and very clean. All in all, great company.

Absolutely first class from start to finish. Goodwin supplied and fitted a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioning system for me. Kevin answered every question quickly and straight, the written quote included all the electrical work in-house (they're NICEIC as well as REFCOM registered, so one firm did the whole job and certified everything), and the price came in at well under half what the national online companies wanted for the same class of system. The install is where they really shone. One visit, immaculately tidy, whisper-quiet result. The outdoor unit had to go where our side gate could touch it - so they measured the gate swing, practised getting the wheelie bins past it, then hand-made a neat foam bumper for the gate's contact point so the unit can never be damaged. Who does that? Then at the end Kevin knocked money off the bill, unprompted, because the cable run was shorter than he'd estimated. Honest pricing, proper qualifications, and tradesmen who think about how you'll live with the work for years to come. Cannot recommend highly enough.

"I couldn't be happier with the air conditioning unit that Kevin and Simon from Goodwin Electrical fitted for me. From the initial consultation through to the installation, the whole process was professional, efficient, and completely hassle-free. The team arrived on time, worked neatly, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The unit itself is fantastic—quiet, efficient, and has made a huge difference to the comfort of my holiday home, especially during warmer weather. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, and it's clear that they take great pride in delivering excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering air conditioning installation. A first-class service from start to finish. Thank you!"

Highly professional, friendly and very competent. They completed the installation of an Aircon unit into my lodge. They arrived on time, worked diligently and left my lodge spotless. Their communication and updates prior to the work was efficient, as was their quotation/ deposit/ final invoicing procedure. The quote was detailed and extremely reasonable especially given the quality of the unit supplied. I would highly recommend the team from Goodwin Electrical - in fact I've already passed their details onto the other lodge owners at the holiday park.

Needed an EV charger fitted at short notice, contacted Goodwin Electrical who came and did the job. Very professional service, many thanks.

Kevin Goodwin visited to design and quote for solar panels and batteries. He was friendly, professional and explained everything in detail. The quote was exactly the specification we wanted at a reasonable price. Kevin Goodwin applied for the DNO G99 before starting installation, and once received let us know the outcome, which was exactly the amount he suggested. On the installation start date everyone turned up at the specified time, worked non stop, explained each step of the installation, and installed our solar panels and batteries over a few days. On the installation completion day Kevin Goodwin immediately emailed us the MCS Certificate, Building Regulation Compliance Certificate, plus anything else relevant to the installation. We definitely recommend Goodwin Electrical.

Kev was efficient, thorough, and put together a fully individualised plan for our household which has been great.

Kevin and his team have done an excellent job adding solar panels and a battery to our property, I would highly recommend Goodwin Electrical.

First class service from Goodwin Electrical, very impressed. We had an air to air heat pump with a 3 way split put in an old stone house which was definitely a tricky job. Simon and Kevin managed it though; they did a great job finishing the system and got the units exactly where we wanted them. This involved core drilling through a ~1m solid stone wall which is certainly not an easy task but they persevered and completed the work to a high standard and on price. We are very happy with the system and install. We also had some extra electrical jobs which Simon tackled, he was very knowledgeable and helpful, going far beyond my expectations figuring out how our house setup and making good recommendations about our immersion setup. He’s also a really nice guy, always willing to chat and explain what he was up to which also gave me a lot of confidence in his work. I highly recommend them, they don’t have 100+ 5 star reviews for no reason. 👍

Excellent service from the very first meeting we had with Kevin to the completion of the job. Very professional service from Kevin and Simon. Highly recommend the company.

Fantastic business, great team. Communication from the get go has been fantastic and I’m thrilled with the impact of the panels and battery system installed by Kevin and his team. Not had to chase for any of the building Reg’s paperwork - absolutely seamless. Can, already have, and will continue to recommend.

Came promptly. Good job done

After multiple quotes from different companies, we decided to go with Goodwin electrical for our Solar and battery system. A fantastic service from start to finish. Very neat cable installation, panels on the roof perfectly installed. The two guys. Kevin and Simon worked extremely well to high standard. Communication through the process with Kevin was quick and easy, answering all questions in a timely fashion, and I did have lots of questions before the start! Also, I'd like to thank them for all the hard work and also replacing the broken tiles that were on the roof before they started. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone who's looking for any solar and/or battery installation.

Great service .Professional from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Installation of EV charger. Whole process was made simple and easy from quotation through to installation and professionally managed throughout. Questions were answered promptly and advice provided where requested prior to installation. Simon arrived on time and installation was efficient, clean and tidy and the job was completed with minimal fuss and very neatly. Simon was brilliant throughout and showed me how to use the charger and set up the phone app fully. Many thanks 🙏

Excellent service from Goodwin Electrical LTD. Kevin was professional, tidy, and offered a very good price for the work. I really appreciated that he went the extra mile to check the existing setup and identified a cabling issue from the original installation that needed correcting. He’s clearly an expert in his field and very thorough. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and fair-priced electrician.

Excellent company, very professional.

Fantastic job installing an EV charger for me. It was a tricky job that others turned down, but Goodwin got the job done quickly and to an excellent standard. Highly recommend!

Kevin & Simon installed our new Solar PV Array and Tesla Powerwall last week. It was a completely smooth and professional job from start to finish & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a similar job. Many thanks !

Straightforward installation of a MyEnergi Zappi EV charger. Survey process was simple, price was fair, Kevin was quick to get us booked in after our car was delivered 3 months early. Great communication, Simon installed on the day, knowledgeable and informative. Will recommend to friends, family and colleagues going forward. Thank you Goodwin Electrical and Solar

Our air conditioning unit wasn’t functioning properly in the dog grooming room, Kevin visited same day as our enquiry to inspect and quote for repair. Repair & service completed within 3 working days which was extremely appreciated. Would highly recommend Goodwin Electrical Services, have already requested an annual service for next year!!

Hypervolt EV charger installed perfectly. Great guys, we couldn't be happier with the service.

Goodwin Electrical recently fitted batteries for us. We would highly recommend them. Kevin was extremely responsive to any queries we had before fitment and to a question after fitment had been competed.

From the first visit from Kevin the service we received was professional and friendly. We purchased a solar battery system from Goodwin Electrical. The system was installed on time and exactly as quoted. The installation was carried out by Simon and the quality of work was excellent. He helped us instal the control app on the phone and instructed us on its use. Would highly recommend Goodwin Electrical to everyone. Very satisfied customer John Lane.

All round great service from Kevin and Goodwin Electrical. Had an EV charger fitted, the job was completed quickly, neatly and made sure everything was 100% before leaving. Can’t recommend them enough.

We were very impressed with Goodwin Electrical and Solar, from start to finish, communication was good, Kevin and Simon turned up on time. We wanted two water heating solar panels removed from our roof as we had a leak which, was coming from the panel installation. They took a lot of care checking the porch roof for weight bearing before starting the job, they also removed all of the fittings from my loft. We had the original roof tiles from the installation ( which was already on when we purchased the property) Simon went the extra mile, as he was replacing the tiles where the fittings had been, he noticed that some of our roof tiles were not the correct size, so he replaced those for us too. They were very tidy workers, our roof looks great, you can,t tell where the solar panels had been. We were very happy with the price charged and also happy that we chose Goodwin Electrical and solar for the job, we would highly recommend them.

Goodwin Electrical & Solar did a really good job of installing our EV charger, including having to take remedial action because of some shoddy work done by a previous tradesperson. They were thorough and knowledgeable and the communication was great.

First class work. Prompt and punctual. Gave usefull advice.

Fitting arranged very promptly and neat and professional job. Very happy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

Kevin Goodwin provided a very competitive quote for three Fox batteries and a 6kWh inverter. They advised what was suitable for our needs. Communication was excellent, with reminders sent ahead of visits, and they arrived on time every time. The installation was carried out efficiently and respectfully, and the area was left clean and tidy. We’re really pleased with the work — Very professional, highly recommended!

A first class EV Charger install carried out by Kevin from Goodwin Electrial & solar a great guy who talked me through the set and how to connect and charge car, would recommend.

Goodwin electrical installed a complete solar ecosystem for us - this included solar panels, a car charger and a battery system. The whole process and experience was fantastic and I couldn't recommend them more. Kevin was brilliant - he is professional, approachable, prompt in communication. And he comes when he says he will, and delivers what he says he'll do. I can't fault him or the company. We would highly recommend him and we'll definitely use him again in the future.

Absolute fantastic professional service from start to finish, thankyou so much and will definitely recommend and use again.

We had a great experience with Goodwin Electrical, installing a new GivEnergy AIO system with Gateway. Kevin and the team worked quickly with Limited disruption and left the property both clean and tidy. Having looked around for a few price quotes, I was pleased that Goodwin Electrical a local company came back with the best price. I would recommend them on price and on the quality and cleanliness of their work.

Highly recommended electrical Company. Kevin did an exemplary piece of work within the time quoted. He replaced a defective solar battery and he also added safety features that weren’t there before. He left the place even tidier than before starting the job. I will definitely use this Company again as also the price is very reasonable.

Excellent service from Goodwin Electrical from start to end getting all of my electric panel heaters and storage heaters changed. Kevin was quick on communication, quoting and getting the job booked in, and made everything very easy. Would absolutely recommend and I will get more work done from this team.

Called Goodwins when we moved into a new property to test the solar installation. Kevin could not have been more helpful! He identified a few issues, prepared the report that noted all points in a simple to understand format and helped me submit this to the installers. Fantastic service from start to finish. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you Kevin 😊

Provided an excellent service when fitting my EV charger. Simon went through everything at the start before commencing with any of the work and answered any questions that I had. The finished job was very neat and tidy and Simon cleared up once the job was completed. He then went through the set up process for the charger and made sure that everything was up and running before he left. Excellent from start to finish - I would highly recommend this company.

Recently had a battery storage and inverter package installed by Goodwin electrical to supplement our existing Solar PV system. Kevin and Simon arrived on the agreed day and had the batteries and inverter installed and running by the end of the day. The installation of the new system was extremely tidy and , in addition, Kevin & Simon tidied up the previous installation of our solar system ( done by others) so it is all up to latest standards . Will certainly use again for our other projects. Definitely recommended 👍

Very professional service, listened to our requirements and gave good advice. Punctual and tidy. Having work done can be stressful but Kevin and team did a great job.

We recently had Goodwin Electrical Services supply and fit a GivEnergy All-in-One (AIO) system, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received! From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly dedicated. Kev, in particular, deserves immense praise. The installation itself was seamless, but getting the system fully operational presented some unexpected challenges, primarily due to difficulties reaching GivEnergy's technical support for specific queries.Despite these hurdles, Kev went to extraordinary lengths to ensure everything was working perfectly. He was persistent, patient, and clearly committed to delivering a fully functional system. His determination to troubleshoot and resolve every issue, even when it meant spending extra time navigating external technical support, truly sets Goodwin Electrical Services apart. Thanks to Kev's expertise and unwavering dedication, our GivEnergy AIO system is now running flawlessly. We highly recommend Goodwin Electrical Services for their exceptional customer care, technical proficiency, and willingness to go above and beyond for their clients. A truly five-star experience!

They worked brilliantly with my roofer to get the integrated panels fitted and looking great. I have to say I wish we had used this company for our original installation of solar panels. We approached them to add a battery to our existing system and also paid for an inspection as it had been a couple of years and we wanted to maintain the system. They provided a thorough report of everything that was not done as it should have been done and we are relieved that we have learned of this before things have gone wrong. The battery was installed quickly and efficiently and we are loving the extra efficiency of our home now. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone seeking a reliable and trustworthy electrician for solar energy.

Only a small job but very professional and courteous. Good to deal with.

Excellent job by Goodwin Electrical. Panels were originally installed 3 years ago by another company but an extension build needed relocation of the panels. We had a fair bit of trouble getting the original company/ local companies to quote. We found Goodwin Electrical who responded quickly and Kevin’s team completed the works to a very high standard. The cabling was rerouted through the loft so minimal cables are on view now. All cables to the panels are much tidier than originally installed. We have also managed to add 3 more panels. Our builder who is a perfectionist has said Kevin has done a very good job. Kevin was very knowledgeable and worked to the required regulations keeping us informed throughout the works. We have no hesitation in recommending Goodwin Electrical. Thank you

All these factors have made for a great, reasonably priced experience. We will use him again and would highly recommend him.

I have just had 4 ground based solar panels and a battery installed by Goodwin electrics. Kevin Goodwin visited my house and listened to what I required and then made extremely sensible suggestions. He was always very clear about the process of installation He is a quiet and thoughtful person, and was easy to have working in my house. He took time to explain the system to me and helped me to understand how it all linked together. He obviously knew his stuff and the installation went extremely smoothly and efficiently. I can’t praise him enough and will certainly call on him again.

The whole process from start to finish has been absolutely exceptional. Kevin helped with planning approval (due to imminent changes in the law no longer needed) and the optimum array layout. All the equipment was readily available and the installation was carried very professionally and with minimum disruption. We would recommend this company to anyone considering solar panel installation.

An extremely professional service, from quote info through design, install, commissioning and after care. I would highly recommend Goodwin Electrical.

Kevin installed PVs and a GivEnergy inverter and battery system for me recently and did an excellent job. He went to greater lengths than other contractors I spoke to in working out what I actually needed rather than what they wanted to sell me, his price was competitive, and the installation was neat, tidy and efficient. And it does exactly what I expected. Can’t recommend him highly enough.

Excellent in all aspects

Highly recommended. Kevin installed a Givenergy All-in-one battery for me. He's done a great job at a great price. Smooth process from start to finish and he made suggestions to help save me money. Very pleased :-)

I think the real value of a business becomes apparent when they have had your money and later on you need help. Kevin has been so helpful and responsive to the small queries I’ve had since he installed my EVC. I don’t feel on my own and feel very well supported. A highly recommended installer. Thank you

We've experienced great professional service from Kevin for many years, maintaining the complex electrical installation in our bunkhouse which is a renovation of an old derelict stone farm in the hills. He has recently installed two EV chargers for us and they are working perfectly. To quote one of our customers " On the subject of electrics, please pass on that I am an electrician myself and was so happy to see such a high quality installation, and it is not often I get to say that! I could see the care and thought that has gone in on every aspect of the design and install."

Superb professional service from Kevin Goodwin and the team. A smooth process from quotation to installation and quick follow up documentation too. A friendly and professional service, patient and happy to advise.
