John Paterson The Window Company

What an amazing company. From initial quote to final completion John and his team have been amazing. We have had 16 sash windows fitted and couldn't be happier. The quality of the windows is fantastic as is the workmanship John and his team put into the fitting and finishing. They started promptly at 8 every morning and were extremely tidy. There is no question, if we need any more work doing, John would be out first and only port of call.

JP Windows have just completed replacing our very old crittall windows/plus other previously replaced doors and windows - fabulous job John and co. thank you. We had been dreading this stage of our property renovation (because of the crittall) but from start to finish the project went smoothly and we now have the finish we hoped for.

If you’re thinking of having your windows replaced, I can thoroughly recommend the J Paterson Window Company. I had very specific designs in mind to recreate the windows that would’ve originally been on my Victorian house, and the team were able to easily bring those designs to life. They were quick to respond to any queries I had, and provided great advice. John did an amazing job fitting them, working tirelessly over three days to get it all done, and the quality of his workmanship and attention to detail is second to none (and I’m very picky!). The windows have been in for less than 48hrs, and I’ve already received loads of compliments about them! They have completely transformed the look of my house. Big thanks to John and the team, I’m absolutely delighted!

John Paterson has integrity and he has earned my trust. He gave us the best competitive quote to replace a couple of blown windows and I paid straight away before he could change his mind. There were a couple of non fault supply issues that followed that must have meant that he was going to make a loss on our deal - but he cheerfully followed it through and provided us with lovely replacement windows... It's when things go wrong and how the contractor deals with it demonstrates the true reliability of a company - and J Paterson Windows have earned that trust from me.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone. We’ve used them twice now for two separate jobs, and each time we’ve had the best experience. The owner John, sits down and discusses the windows with you before purchase, and double checks measurements. Tim who fitted them turned up super early and was really easy to get on with - no trouble whatsoever. They’re quick at responding to emails, one of our windows was slightly scuffed and they came immediately out to fix it. Reliable and trustworthy. Our windows look amazing.

Replacement full length windows in bedroom and kitchen and they look great. So much better. Guys doing the fitting were brilliant. Installed much quicker than expected, minimum disruption and everything cleaned up at the end. Very happy. Thank you

“I’m absolutely thrilled with the service from John Paterson The Window Company. They did a fantastic job fitting my bi-fold doors—professional, efficient, and with real attention to detail. The finish is flawless, and the doors look amazing. Highly recommend them for quality workmanship and excellent customer care!”

The company were professional throughout the process. The survey was sensible and answered all of our questions. The fitter was really experienced and considerate. A great job all round.

I chose John Paterson The Window Company as it is a local company where John personally oversees all installations. I had to obtain planning permission which was sought on my behalf and chased by Charlie in the sales office. I have now swopped a draughty leaky front door for a secure stained glass front door in the style of my 1930s property. The door and one window required some remedial brickwork and some internal plastering. John coordinated Graham and Tom bricklayers with Tim the fitter (who worked tirelessly for two days) and latterly plasterer Lee. All did an excellent job and I now have a warm house and dare I say it the best front door on the street. Thank you John.

Without doubt the best window company in Kent. Not only do they provide the best products, but the service during the installation and afterwards is amazing. I would recommend them highly.

Wow we are so delighted with our new doors and windows. The quality of the fitting & product is outstanding. Our house has gone from being cold, noisy and windy to being warm, quiet and cosy. We would definitely recommend this company. We are very happy customers.

Thank you to John Paterson and his team for my impressive new conservatory which was constructed and finished to a very high standard with thanks to Steve

Fabulous installation by John. Reliable and 1st class back up. Thank you so much!

John and his team were great. very professional, clean and tidy. We love our windows and doors, we had so many compliments. we will definitely use them again.

Very pleased with the quality of the product and service in replacing our windows and porch door. From initial contact to finishing they were knowledgeable, courteous and efficient and carried out the fitting well within the initial estimated time frame which means we can move on with the next phase of our project. Would certainly recommend and use again, thank you.

We have used John for the past 10 years on various projects, (windows, doors, skylights) his knowledge is outstanding. Our front door developed a problem with the locks, nearly five years after he installed them. He was at our house the same day sorted a temporary fix until the replacement part arrived. There are numerous window company locally, i doubt you will find one where the owner is still hands on, with excellent product knowledge and amazing customer service. I highly recommend this company

John came this morning and did a very good tidy job of replacing two doors that had been under guarantee from the firm that manufactured them. So nice to get the job done and now able to open and close both doors without any problems. Came when he said he would and made the appointment in advance

J. Paterson ltd have been professional throughout the whole process of installing new windows for us. First contact was Paul who was informative and put us at our ease. Tim and John were brilliant, working carefully and the end result is exactly what we wanted. Well done. Highly recommend them.

Contacted J Paterson to replace a warped wooden external kitchen door and frame with UPVC. The survey and quote were actioned nice and quick. The fitter arrived at the agreed date bang on time and carried out the work quickly, efficiently and with no fuss. Highly recommended.

John very kindly just fixed both my doors which had dropped over time. I am so grateful for his expert help and speedy response to my enquiry. When I need new windows and doors I will definitely ask them. Thanks again x

Clean and tidy job done and to a very high standard! Highly recommend

A professional window company, I have recommended to my friends and family. Good value for money.

John put a new solid roof on our 20 year old conservatory, which we now call our garden room Very professional, good clean work by ‘super’ Steve. Always left each day clean and tidy. John kept us informed from beginning to end.. We are very pleased with the end result and would recommend them to our friends and family

We had a conservatory built. We were extremely happy with the advice and service provided. Having never done anything like this before we were reliant on the advice given. Everyone working on the project turned up on time and were helpful and professional and very nice which is always a bonus. We will be using our new space a lot and have had numerous positive comments.

Very happy with the service - after a less than satisfactory experience with another company, The Window Company took over the project very efficiently. They managed the planning consent application and installation of 8 new windows very professionally. The fitter was on time, polite and efficient - even pointing out marks in the glass and ordering a new pane before I had noticed it myself. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic professional service from very beginning they helped us through the whole process including navigating what was required to comply with conservation area and planning permission . Advising on every step of the process making it so much easier . They always stuck to promises and delivering exactly what they promised. On day installation they arrived on time and did fantastic job. As soon as there was an issue on site John arrived and immediately sorted issue and stayed himself to assist the installer to ensure job was completed on time and as promised. Very impressed and pleased. Totally recommended for a stress free professional job from start to finish. Thank you very much really appreciate great job 🤩

It was a pleasure using and supporting a local independent company. John and his team gave really useful advice throughout. Quality products, excellent fitter who was punctual, clean and professional. Will certainly use again in the future.

Very happy with the service from start to finish from the company. Paul was open and honest when quoting us, the fitters were friendly and professional and felt reassured in the product quality with a visit to the showroom. Nice to work with a local company with a hands on business owner and a great end result. Would definitely recommend and will use again when we rebuild the porch.

John managed to start the work around the time he had forecast, and judged the exact timing beautifully to avoid weather problems for us. The whole job was completed faster than expected, and the finished conservatory is absolutely super - bright and clean and sound. Would have no hesitation in recommending this company!

Great personal service, the quality of the product is fantastic better than anything else on the market. We were recommended to John Paterson Windows and now we know why!

Very professional company having windows installed this week Will be using them again

Great service from the start, had been recommended J.Paterson by a few people and was not disappointed, turned up when they said they would and went above and beyond to get the job done. Top quality and will definitely be using them again.

NOT recommended at all

Excellent service, friendly and skilled fitting.

Really pleased we decided to go with J.Paterson’s to have all our windows replaced. Excellent communication, quick and clear. Answered all our questions before going ahead with the job in a thorough and precise manner. Delivery and fitting was much sooner than expected and can’t fault the standard at all. I’m pretty fussy and they look great. Fitter did an excellent job, very professional and pleasant to have around, friendly and tidy. Completely happy to recommend to others!

Very knowledgeable and helpful company with great communications - would highly recommend.

Can't speak too highly of the service from this company. Working round snow and freezing conditions, they rescheduled and worked to an amazing standard to fit my windows to a high standard without any fuss or disruption to the interior. Am totally delighted with the results and, although the fitters ( both lovely) would probably not agree, it was a painless experience --for me at least!

Very good service from start to finish. Accommodating around installation times and a good quality product. Thank you

I was really pleased with the work carried out. They replaced a front and back door, a set of French doors and 12 windows. It wasn't straightforward because my house is in a Conservation Area so it meant I had to get planning consent. John quoted in October but it took until the following April to get approval. I did most of the application myself but John helped to source a design consultant who dealt with certain specific things, including cross section drawings of the replacement windows and doors. John is quite knowledgeable about what is likely to be acceptable. He recommended the Flush 70 range of windows with foil effect and mechanical jointing. This was spot on - it is hard to tell the difference between these and the timber ones they replaced. The foil effect in particular reduces the shine you often get with upvc windows. The fitters, Pete and Ben, worked hard, did a great job and left things neat and tidy (be warned though there is inevitably some dust!). The work was done in a timely fashion and to quotation. There were a few snagging issues but these were promptly resolved. Couldn't be happier.
