Prompt to come out and quote, and also quick to install. I actually kept them waiting, and they were very good about it. The job was finished to an excellent standard. Would recommend to anyone needing their sash windows repaired.

We have recently had our drafty old original Victorian sash bay windows completely replaced by Refurb-a-Sash. Every step of the process, from placing the order to completion was very efficient and smooth. Before they started the job the surrounding area was carefully protected, and the installer, Paul, took great care and pride in his work. We are very pleased with the finished result. The windows are an exact copy of the originals, but with modern sash and energy efficiency features. They are totally in keeping with the character of the house, from both inside and out, which was an important consideration for us. We have previously had two of our other windows refurbished by Refurb-a-Sash and were equally pleased on each occasion. Highly recommended.

We had french doors and a sash window replaced in a victorian house. The whole process was professional and totally stress free. The fitter Michael was excellent, he was skilled, seemed to know what he was doing and was very tidy. The finish of the work is first class. We were very specific about what we wanted and they did exactly what we wanted. The work seemed very well co-ordinated, the old window was removed at 11am and the new window arrived at 11.05. They started and finished the project exactly as they said. I would definately recomend the company and would use them again in the future. Very pleased.

As part of a major renovation of a Victorian townhouse, we replaced all our sashes but chose to refurbish the boxes, rather than replace them, as we wanted to retain as much character s we could. Refurb-a-Sash did a great job and weren't put off at all by having to make the new sashes fit some boxes that were a long way from being straight or true!

The work on an old sash window was fine, and it certainly functioned better, but I thought that the cost of a morning's work was high at £550 plus VAT. This was quoted for one day's work, but it only took half a day. There is no decoration included.

Refurb-a-Sash has done the refurbishment of all our windows. Recently, they built and installed a new entrance door in our house. As always, they have done this to perfection. The new door is beautiful and of a very high standard.

Refurb-a-Sash have given my small room a facelift with two new wooden sash windows working within the existing frame. My old victorian single glazed windows were not at all working or efficient with our British winters and rising energy costs. We moved into our home 15 years ago: refurb-a-sash had installed the front sash windows before we moved in and they are still in excellent condition today - without subsequent remedial work. Due to the style and obvious quality we made the decision to use the company again to replace the windows at the back of the house (which were of a lesser quality built and installed by another company again before we moved in). The new windows are superb and make a big change to the character of the rooms. We have been impressed by the company's product and personnel, from point of pre-sales through to fitting and follow ups. The whole team have been very professional, providing great communications and quality of service. I have no hesitation to recommend this company and if we ever move will definitely use again. The product and team are worth every penny.

This is my second time using Refurb a Sash to fit new windows into my existing sash frames. I would highly recommend them! Paul especially did an incredible job. He was always on time, cleaned up so well and was such a nice guy. Mostly though the standard of his work was exemplary - he clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does and that shows. Refurb-a-sash quoted for us quickly and were competitive. We had two traditional wooden sash windows repaired. The job was done beautifully and in keeping with the original windows. We had to wait quite a long time for the windows to be fitted, but it was due to the time of the year. All in all, really happy.

The windows look really good and the two men who fitted them arrived punctually worked consistently and cleared up afterwards. We used Refurb-a-sash between 2001-2006 when we had a number of our windows replaced with their quality products. We’ve had these windows repainted every 5-7 years and they still look as good today as they did when they were installed. In contrast to this happy situation, in 2015 we had some work done in one room and the builder installed new sash windows. A big mistake! We’ve had to repaint them twice since then; despite this they’ve leaked and didn’t open and close properly. Unfortunately they needed to be replaced. We’ve turned to Refurb-a-sash to do the work and we’re very happy with the decision. The new ones look great and we know they’ll last us decades. Quality comes at a higher price, but you can’t deny that you get terrific value for money by using Refurb-a-sash. And a great service from everyone.

After 15 years carrying out property improvements in London, I have learnt to expect a level of hassle in any change. This was the first time that this was absolutely not the case. The Surveyor was highly knowledgeable, explained what needed to be done and how the refit would take place. He was very patient with the numerous questions we asked. These guys are really good. No mess, no fuss and great craftsmen. From quote to completion the process was very smooth. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend them, the only small problem is that appointment times for fitting are a way ahead, this is obviously because they are on demand.

From start to finish I had an excellent experience with Refurb-a-Sash. The job was pretty big, refurbish all the original single glazed, draughty and hard to open sash windows in a 6 bedroomed Victorian terrace. The most tricky part of the job being incorporating 3 original stained glass panes into the front bay window. I could not have been more thrilled with the end results, double glazed units, easy to open and close, no wind whistling through the gaps. The front bay is an excellent piece of workmanship, which they should justifiably feel proud of! And still some 13 years later I've not had to repaint the frames. All in all I highly recommend you used Refurb-a-Sash and hope that you will be as happy as I was with their professionalism and craftsmanship.

On a neighbour's recommendation I had Refurb-a-Sash fix the nailed/painted shut sash windows of my 'new' house. 15 years later I have just had them back to replace 2 of the windows - hassle free from initial enquiries to completed new windows. Excellent planning, amazing workmanship and scrupulous time-keeping that should be the envy of the building industry. You can set your clocks by the 8 o'clock start each day. But they also finished the work on the day they planned and leave the place each evening cleaner than they found it. Their teams are a pleasure to have in the house. Any down sides? They are expensive. We believe that this is more than compensated for by the quality of the work. Christopher Stephens

We have used Refurb-a-Sash to replace all the windows in our house which is in a conservation area. They have first class knowledge of planning, their measuring process is superb and they carried out the work on time.
