My new front door, frame and step has just been installed very efficiently. My last door did not fit well and let in a lot of draughts but, despite the heatwave, I can already see that this lovely door is well sealed, so the problem should be resolved once winter comes. Very good company with a very charming team, so thank you Tommy and engineer Kim for making this changeover as pain-free as possible. Sam and Marcin arrived at our house at 8am on the day agreed and completed the installation of front and back doors by 1pm. They were friendly and polite and explained everything to us as needed. My wife and I were working from home during this, but aside from the necessary power tool noises, they didn't disturb us unless absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend them.

It's the second time I reached out to Barnet Window Company, the first time for a front door replacement - which was done so nicely and professionally, that I reached out a second time to replace 7 windows. Once again, they did a fantastic job. About 3 weeks after Tommy's visit to discuss options and provide us with a competitive quote, Peter and Michal - the installation team - not only arrived earlier on the day than planned to accommodate for me being able to join a call I had planned for work, from start to finish, they offered a very clean, professional removal of the old and installation of the new windows. They even managed to half the time planned to install the windows, which was great now that the weather got colder again. Not only did the installation go smooth, they also ensured to leave a very clean workplace, not a single smudge on the glass or framework. I can only highly recommend this family company for your doors & windows!

Amazing service from Barnet Window Company. They fitted a variety of new windows for me including back doors with a cat flap. All the staff, from the shop to the fitters were very friendly and helpful throughout the experience.

New front door installation, was awesome and professionally done. So happy with the whole experience. Kim arrived early and expertly removed the door/frame/window in quick succession. I was sure that the installation would have been a 2 man job, however after ony 4 1/2 hours the whole job was sorted. Kim also kindly helped us mount our new doorbell along with skilled installation of the new door. A thourough instruction of the locking and latching operation of the new door was given, and gratefully received. It's nice when you have the opportunity to see highly skilled workers using thier craft. Prior to the installation Tommy and Abby were both excellent, with communication invoicing breakdowns and when there was a supplier issue this was immediately conveyed and other arrangements were made. My partner's disabiliy was understood and taken into account with the choice of products and installation, we're so grateful. Barnet Windows are an extremely professional company, that went above and beyond with our purchase and installation of our new door. We couldnt be happier.

Barnet windows are wonderful. Real craftsmen. We had our windows replaced with sash at the front of the house and they did a fantastic job. However they also adjusted the patio door recently and again we are so impressed with them. I can't rate them highly enough.

We had a new front door installed by Barnet Window Company earlier this year. Tommy was very helpful with the selection of the door, taking time to explain the different options. Kim did a great job of fitting the new door, taking his time to ensure a quality fit and finish. Having such a great experience, we then asked Barnet Windows to refit two stained glass circular windows, removing the stained glass, and refitting in a double-glazed unit. Again Kim, assisted by Josh, did a great job removing the old wooden casement and refitting. Very little mess or fuss. We are very happy with both the door and the windows, and will be using Barnet Windows again.

From our initial enquiry to the completion of the work, everyone who contacted us or worked on our patio doors was professional, knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Barnet Windows have installed three new items in our house during the last 24 months: two bifold doors and one awning. The latest job was a bifold door in our breakfast room. We're very impressed by their work, which is totally professional and competent, and we've enjoyed the new doors and awnings very much. The technicians are craftsmen and have good social skills, so it was a pleasure to have them in our house. Not cheap, but well worth the money.

We recently had a new back back door and surrounding windows replaced, as well as an upstairs window, by the Barnet Window Company. Their approach was both friendly and very professional from the start. We explained what we wanted and they surveyed the existing structure and proposed what could be done. They clearly explained everything and it was all well documented/agreed with us. The actual work was carried out to a very high standard it looks brilliant - a major improvement over what we had and exactly what we were looking for. There were no issues when it came to the cost of the works - we were quoted a cost and this is what we ended up paying i.e., no additional surprise costs appeared. Barnet Window Company are the only firm that we go to for windows, doors etc and we have used them many times in the past. This time it was for a new double door porch. As on previous occasions, they were efficient in terms of coming round to assess what we needed and to send on the quote. As always, the paperwork came through with clear explanations of cost, payment and design. Our porch was slightly off kilter in terms of size/space, but they were helpful and clear in what they recommended and made any slight changes they needed to ensure a perfect fit. As ever they came on the agreed date and the workmen were polite, efficient and thoughtful. They also ensured they 'cleaned up' after they had finished. We have no hesitation in recommending them and indeed would go as far as to say - why go anywhere else!

Just had 12 UPVC windows fitted by the excellent Barnet Window Company. Professional through the process from initial contact, survey quote, contract, installation and handover. Sam Richards and Martin our installation team showed up each morning and left each day with the house cleaned and closed up. We had two visits during the installation by John the owner who was keen to know that we were happy with progress. All completed on time. No more painting and messing with old sash window mechanisms! Highly recommended.

Have had a front door and rear bifold doors fitted by Barnet Windows, very professional, great service and good quality doors would recommend great service from fitters especially Sam.

Very smooth process right from obtaining a quote right through to the final fitting. The team is very helpful and keep you up to date on your order. Abby liaised with our managing agents at our block of flats to arrange scaffolding etc which was really helpful. Some small issues with the order were dealt with quickly. Spencer and Sam did a great job of fitting our windows and balcony door - they were friendly and tidied up after themselves. We are really happy with the final product and would recommend this company to others.

I am very happy with the service and product from this company.The whole process was smooth from the first estimate to completion of the installation yesterday . Chris and Spencer arrived on time, worked solidly throughout the day and left the place clean and tidy afterwards . Barnet Window Company replaced an existing window with a double-glazed sash, and installed custom-made secondary glazing inside large fixed windows on our ground floor. Absolutely amazing experience! I chose to go with this company as a close family member had used them on multiple projects and highly recommended them. We have just had a new front door installed, replacing the old original timber door of the house. They also replaced the windows surrounding the door. From the moment that I got in touch with them regarding the project the guys in the showroom were nothing but welcoming and helpful. After deciding on my door the whole process was efficient and smooth, and they communicated really well regarding how everything was progressing. They were happy to answer any questions I had along the way, even when I felt like I was being a pain! The door looks amazing and my hallway is now so much warmer and brighter for it! Update - Our front door needed adjustment as it wasn't closing as smoothly as when it had been installed. We rang them up to ask about it and they were really helpful! Apparently it is very normal for the door to be adjusted once after fitting and someone was round to do it within a couple of days. It didn't cost us a penny as it was all covered under the guarantee! I know that most companies are very helpful initially, but it is really refreshing to see a company that provides the same level of customer service after the job has been done.

We have used Barnet Window Company for over 20 years on several occasions. The service we have received has been excellent from choosing the product right through to installation. Although maybe not the cheapest on the market, you certainly get what you pay for, plus supporting a local business at the same time.

Fantastic family business which we have used many times over the years and recommended to friends and family. Highly professional and great attention to detail. We recently had bi-folds and rear windows with integral blinds installed, and again so happy with the results. Additionally, the aftercare is exceptional. Even years after an installation they are always happy to assist if needed. Highly recommended!

I chose Barnet Window Company because it is a family-run firm and has a good reputation. There are certainly many positive reviews here. But my experience started to change once I had problems with the Evolution windows they installed in 2016 and 2018, sold to me as a 'premium product' and specifically claimed 'to last longer than cheaper versions' in their marketing literature. At first BWC were very helpful, and would attend for site visits to remediate problems under the guarantee. But more fundamentally when these issues started even before final payment had been made, callouts under the guarantee were required multiple times a year, items that were supposedly 'fixed' broke again within a short period of time, the same problems reoccurred on other windows, and other consumers reported the same issues with Evolution windows, there is clearly more of a systemic issue with the installed products. BWC was initially helpful with raising these points with Evolution, even stating on an e-mail to them that 'it is clear that these problems are clearly manufacturing issues' and referring to the ‘outstanding defects’. But this changed as soon as they became aware that it is the retailer, not the manufacturer, that is legally liable under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Suddenly BWC issued communications to me through its solicitor stating that all of the issues - Georgian bars falling off my windows (11 times, even though the first time it happened BWC assured me on an e-mail that it was an 'incredibly rare' event), gaps appearing to the seals in my 'energy-efficient' windows to let in noise and cold draughts (8 times), rusting to ironmongery - were all merely 'cosmetic issues'. I offered them the chance to retract this statement - particularly as it contradicted their previous stance - but BWC then refused to acknowledge there were problems at all. In order to resolve the dispute we agreed that BWC would put together a shortlist of expert witnesses to conduct an independent inspection. But they advised me that despite their 35 years in the industry they were unable to identify a single surveyor at a reasonable price. Unknown to BWC, I had already identified possible options using Google and had obtained three quotes at a fraction of the price BWC was alleging. I paid for my own expert witness, and the inspection took place in October 2021. The expert found no fewer than 45 faults, just 10 months after BWC had last visited and falsely declared that my windows were sound. More importantly he confirmed that the windows did not perform as marketed and that despite the 16 attempts to fix them, BWC had failed to do so. Despite this report BWC still refused to issue me with a partial refund, falsely alleging that the expert was subject to a conflict of interest. In the end I filed a court claim in May 2022, and it was only at that point that BWC begrudgingly admitted that it owed me anything at all. Upon filing its response it was forced to pay what it felt was due and hence BWC’s own self-determined amount appeared in my bank account. But it was less than I was claiming. I finally managed to take BWC to court in May 2023. But even before the judge commenced proceedings, he advised us that the case was actually very straightforward. He referred to the expert witness report and gave his view that I had very strong grounds to claim the costs for another firm to make good my windows. Based on this, he encouraged both parties to take 30 minutes to reach a settlement, and warned BWC that it would be issued with a CCJ if he had to preside over a hearing given the amount it had belatedly paid me was inadequate. After a 3 year battle, funnily enough BWC chose to pay up that day. A message to BWC: next time you try to screw over one of your customers by putting your own interests first, you may wish to consider how your actions will be judged not only in a court of law, but also by public opinion. Consumers may just decide to take their business elsewhere.

I emailed about the seal coming loose on a window and they called the next day and then someone came out to replace it 2 days later - brilliant service. Barnet Windows have just completed replacing all of our windows, along with our front door. The service throughout has been brilliant. From Paul who handled the initial visit, Steve the surveyor, Abigail and April in the office, everyone has been incredibly polite, helpful and efficient. We have been kept fully informed on the progress of our order, with installation taking place pretty much spot on with the initial estimated date. The installation itself was carried out by Dave and Spencer. The guys turned up bang on time, let us know exactly what they would be doing to help minimise disruption and worked incredibly hard. They did a brilliant job and left everything clean and tidy. Finally, James the installations manager, turned up each day to ensure all was going well and that everyone was happy with the job. A positive experience from beginning to end. We had seven windows fitted on a top floor flat. Tommy helped us with paperwork for a very demanding freeholder. Others had turned down the work because of this. Abby arranged everything very quickly. Chris and Spencer arrived on time, fitted the windows ahead of schedule and were polite, conscientious and very tidy. The service is quite costly but high quality.

We got a new front door from the English Door Company through Barnet Windows. We had a great service throughout and are really happy with the end result. There were problems with the glass unit that meant it had to be reordered and changed twice but each time they were responsive and helpful.

I am delighted by all aspects of Barnet Window Company. They have completed the installation oof the sliding glass door to my terrace. Before the installation I dealt with Tommy, Paul, and Steve. They were all helpful in answering questions, discussing options and making recommendations. I believe Steve did the survey. He was very thorough and was willing to explain what would be done. He was also receptive to my questions and answered them satisfactorily. The door was installed on 3 May in one day. The installers, Ricardo, Chris, and Sam were thorough in removing the existing door, preparing the opening, and installing the new door. Again, receptive to my inquiries and very pleasant to deal with. The installation was done to a high standard. I would highly recommend Barnet and will used them again if the need arises.

Just had our new kitchen door fitted, Tommy came for the first visit to estimate the cost to replace the new door on time and emailed the cost within two hours, Steve the surveyor came to measure up for the new door again on time and explained everything in detail, Kim came to install the door laying protective sheets in all areas he was very chatty while he carried on with the insulation which he did to a very high standard sales office very helpful kept me informed at all times down to the installation date. First used this company 10 years ago when we moved into our current home that needed a lot of work and over the 10 years they have replaced and installed all the windows. 8 years after having first set of windows put in and one got slight condensation, a quick call to the office and they had the panel replaced without any questions or hassle. Most recently, Barnet did our patio doors which is the last one needing replacing, doors didn't quite slide smoothly. Again, an email to Abby and the next day someone came round to take a look and fix the problem with the reassurance that if the problem returns to let them know. Abby is fantastic, with superb customer care and an asset to the company. I would really recommend that Barnet Windows.

It’s great to work with a family business that not only knows their products inside out but listens to your needs and assists you in getting the right solution for you. TL;DR. Why choose Barnet Window Company? My advice is don’t. Their Aftersales Department are shocking. If they damage anything during installation, they will not take any responsibility. It’s a shame because the windows are lovely but I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone. Everything was well with the visits, quotes and surveying for the order. The windows themselves seem well made and have the usual guarantees. The issue came on the day of installation. The installers arrived on time and laid down their sheets covering the walkways and work areas. When the installers were packing up, my parents noticed that there were stains on their carpets, which had been newly laid a few months ago. Some of the stains seemed as if they had tried to be cleaned already and my parents tried as well. We contacted Barnet Windows and asked what they could do to help, along with some photos. Their reply was that: 1. The dirty sheets belonged to my parents and any that Barnet Windows laid were brand new. 2. Due to the type of installation, it would not have produced this type of staining. 3. The installers reported that they did not try to clean any stains. 4. They were unable to accept any responsibility. When we told them of our disappointment, it took over 24 hours to receive a response, during which we concluded that nothing was going to happen and we’d better try and take the stains out. They did then visit the property after which they said: 1. The stains were not in the immediate work area. 2. They could not see the stains on inspection. 3. They will now close the matter. Initially, when we asked what Barnet Windows could do to help, my retired parents did not expect to be implied as liars. English is not their first language and they have had to explain to the best of their ability what happened only to be told there was “some confusion”. I expected better from a family run business such as Barnet Windows and went with them due to a personal recommendation. I’m writing this review because I would want to know how their treat their minority customers.

This was for the replacement of a cracked glass panel in our French doors - a direct hit from a stone fired out from the lawnmower. April co-ordinated everything. I wanted to wait a few months after installation, before leaving this review. I have been very happy with the quality of the windows and the installation. BWC did exactly what they said they would do and charged exactly what they quoted. These weren't the cheapest product but I genuinely feel I got a product and installation that justified the cost. We went with the timber alternative flush casement windows and have no regrets with choosing Barnet Window Company. The installation work was also of a a very high standard, they did a ground floor front and back in just 2 days. The original pebble dash has been closely replicated to allow for a very neat and tidy, external finish. Door and windows work perfectly and the house is significantly warmer and more secure. They even suggested some extra touches like angled sills that would allow the French doors to open wider. They came back on a couple of occasions to ensure we were happy and we have now had them in for a couple of months without any issue.

We used them for our front porch door and back doors and I was so impressed with how attentive they were to our specifications, offering advice without trying to 'over sell' us in any way. They provided us with great options which is exactly what we were looking for when deciding. The quality of the doors, installations and workmanship impressed us.

Worse customer service I’ve ever experienced in any company , when they think money money money the call back is immediate ! But as soon as they realise they are not really capable of doing the job like it was in my case building a big house full of glass everywhere...they just don’t care ,had to keep chasing some Tommy and after two days of calls to the office email and then even a txt just saying look if you can’t do the job just say it I’m cool with that , I got a dismissive email confirming my suspicions... useless is not the word...waste of time and call , avoid avoid avoid !!!!!!

Horrible company. Regarding a 4 panel bifold door install, ordered wrong size glass, sent ?unqualified engineer working without care or attention damaging all glass and frames, leaving a 5mm gap over two panels, didn't seal frame allowing water underneath causing mouldy grouting. Invited Managing Director round for his opinion, rather than engage with us, he chose to talk over us and berate us for having dust on the doors. Multiple visits over 9 months,15 panes of glass were required for a scratch free finish, each visit the 5mm gap was left with a handle too stiff to lock. The wood grain effect damage was repaired by sanding and filling and spray paint in a colour that doesn’t match. Did not conform to own contract or industry standards. I asked the managing director his opinion again, he talks over us in a raised voice stating we "have nothing to complain about", and that we "have been no end of problems". A manager from the door manufacturer visited who said he was "baffled" by the install. Complaints not addressed. Questions not answered. When I used my consumer protection rights, Barnet windows threaten me with breach of contract. All we wanted was a nice new bifold free of damage with no scratches on the glass, is that too much to ask? Have a look at the photos and draw your own conclusions, but i would suggest any other company would take more care to the work, standards and contract, probably for half the price!

Barnet Window Company put up with my exceptional OCD when specifying the windows for my house with grace (no mean feat!). We loved the original wooden windows in our house but couldn't put up with the draughts anymore. The windows we purchased were as close to the originals as possible in woodgrain UPVC. The product is so good that my kids returned home and just thought the originals had been cleaned up! The installation process was easy, quick and clean with each window finished inside and out before the next one was started and all tools/materials removed and everything put right at the end of each working day. We've received numerous compliments from the neighbours not only on the quality of the windows but also on the quality of the finsh. Exceptional company, exceptional product and exceptional people.

Fantastic service! We bought six double glazed windows from Barnet about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. They were extremely competitive against the larger chains like Anglian & Everest and didn't do the hard-sell. They actually listened to what we wanted and addressed all of our questions. When it came to the installation we couldn't believe how quick and professional it was - the guys were in and out within 2 days. We'll definitely be back to Barnet when it comes to getting our doors re-done. Highly recommended.

Honest and reliable with quality products, great communication and installation.

Great range of doors and choices of design. We wanted something that'd let the light in, after having inherited a dark wood stable door design. We have a massive glass panel and still have a good sized catflap in the back door now. The whole kitchen area now has LOADS more light coming in. The fittings were great and when I had noticed, after the workmen had gone a little scratch on one of the panels, I was given a replacement glass panel, no quibbles, promptly. I will definitely use them again for another job, really friendly workmen and really friendly people on the office phones too. Thanks all!

What a wonderful company to do business with! From the start to final inspection they were professional, prompt, efficient, courteous and honest. No sales pressure, just good advice. They might appear at first to be more expensive, but the quality and finish you get are worth it – and the price they quote is what you pay with no hidden ‘extras’. They went out of their way to source matching Edwardian architrave for us from new supplier and even left the house cleaner than when they arrived! Cannot recommend them more.

We've used Barnet Window Company for 4 separate orders now and each experience has been extremely positive. They are a family firm who genuinely seem to care about the customer experience and the quality of their work. Each interaction has been thorough and professional. Very few companies do what they say when they say they will do it, Barnet Window Company do. Barnet Window Company are not the cheapest. But you do get what you pay for and for us, the price differetial was well worth it for the ease of dealing with them and the quality of the work. Tommy is very helpful and there is no overt sales pressure, even to the point of actually talking us down to a solution that was more appropriate for our needs but was actually cheaper. Great integrity. The fitters are great guys. All I think employed directly by the company so there's none of the usual subcontracting nonsense. We had some terrible weather during one install and the guys dealt with it in good humour (albeit with a few more cups of tea!). House was left as clean and tidy as it could be given the nature of the work. What minor problems we had were dealt with swiftly and proactively. For example, one of the glazed units was scratched on delivery from the factory. The quality team had already noticed the issue and had a replacement on order before we'd even noticed ourselves. I would thoroughly recommend The Barnet Window Company.

Fantastic professional company. They helped us when no other window suppliers could even though it was a very small job. They were incredible with communication and working within our somewhat bizarre schedules. I have and will recommend them to anyone who needs a window. I just wish they did other works so I could use them for more but will certainly use them again for any future window needs.

Working with them is how it should be. A straight quote. No harassment to place an order. Easy to talk dates. And finally of course, a faultless job at half the price of the guys.

Very pleased we found and used this excellent family firm. Installing new windows is a big decision. We chose Bygone sash windows and they really do look like the original. Wish we had done it years ago. And no pushy sales team or complicated offers and finance programs. What more could you ask for? Good clean workman - they have them as well.

I cannot recommend Barnet Windows highly enough. From the initial meeting right through to instillation, follow-up and snagging they have been brilliant. Having had a number of companies come round to quote I felt that I had the best rapport with Tommy. He understood what we were looking for, wasn’t pushy and sent a quote quickly. This great customer service and 'can do' mentality continued throughout the whole project and was the same with everyone I dealt with - I cannot fault their service. We replaced beautiful and very large leaded windows and a stained glass window with their Evolution windows and they now look even better than before. Visitors often mistake them for real wood and we have had a number of people knock on our door and ask who supplied them. I am particularly pleased with the stained glass window which they rebuilt for me and encased in a double glazed unit. They were also able to copy this window exactly for me from reclaimed glass so we could have another in our new loft conversion which looks stunning. Barnet were not the cheapest, but in my opinion they are the best and very good value for the quality product and service you get. They are a small family run, local firm and I am passionate about supporting local businesses that treat you as an individual and take pride in their work rather than the larger national firms where you are just a number. I would not hesitate to recommend Barnet Windows and am happy to show anyone my lovely new windows!

Really happy to review this company. Their range of products is great and their product knowledge is great. They've got a modest showroom but the quality of the windows is superb. We bought two UPVC box sash windows for a mansard roof extension where we wanted windows with zero maintenance (painting). The windows are fantastic - solid, wood-effect, smooth mechanism, easy to clean inside and out.

Have used Barnet Windows for many of our managed rental properties, and they've always provided excellent products, and a first rate service both at the time of installation and with after-care. They are very knowledgeable, and operate in an efficient, friendly, and very professional way which exceeded my expectations.

First rate service. They were easy to contact and were round to assess our needs very quickly. The quote was sent to us very quickly and was very competitive. The surveyor came to measure up and we were called as soon as the door was ready to install. The installation was first rate and the installer cleared up afterwards. We had used them 20 years ago and have already arranged two more installations with them. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
