Very disappointed with Abacus Window cleaning and cancelled my service after repeated cancellations on the day. When you receive a txt the day before saying they will come the next day between 7.00-17.00 i insured the drive was cleared for them to park, only to wait all day before getting txts to cancel. The times they did arrive they missed windows and the time spent cleaning was hardly worth the price they charge. I would not recommend.

I've been a customer of Abacus since Feb, and they've been incredibly disappointing during that time. Twice they have failed to show up within the agreed 6 weekly schedule, pushing it to 8 or 9 weeks, and not once have they been able to clean my windows without leaving streaks. There was no communication about any delays to the cleaning schedules, and I had to chase them myself to be put on a 'priority list' for cleaning. They do come out to re-clean the windows if streaks are left, which I do commend them for. I have just unfortunately never had a good experience with the actual clean (even if they re-cleaned, there were still streaks and dirty cills), and would advise that people look elsewhere for domestic cleaning.

I have always been very happy with the service I’ve received from Abacus and the communication they give.

I used abacus for a commerical job and the service from the very beginning was exceptional. I didnt have to chase any paperwork, starts date or RAMS. Everything was seemless. Once on site, the H&S was immaculate and the results of the job, perfect. Thank you so much Milly and Pat.

I've been with Abacus now for at least 3 years, my window cleaner visits every 6 weeks and they always inform me the day before and then a couple of days later they e- mail regarding payment I'm very pleased with the service I get.

I have been using Abacus for cleaning my windows and guttering for many years and they have always been reasonably priced, punctual, professional and courteous. Would recommend without hesitation.

Have been using Abacus since 2021. They clean to a good stand and always clear with their communication on when they're coming. Easy to get hold of and always polite. Well worth exploring if you're looking for a a window cleaner!

I signed up to Abacus after a door knock. Unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing, as there were water marks all over the windows afterwards and they looked worse than before the visit. I contacted the company and they did return to re-clean the windows. The member of staff who came back was very polite and explained that the person who attended on the first visit had only been with the company a few days. He also confirmed he was responsible for the rear windows, which were left in a particularly poor condition. While I appreciate that they returned to resolve the issue, I would suggest providing more thorough training for new staff to avoid disappointing new customers at the outset. I did make payment, but I have since decided to go with another company that also has 5 star reviews and is more cost effective.

I’ve been a customer for 3 years. In those years, I’ve been impressed by the consistently good service, reliability and politeness of the Abacus team.

3 storey, 5 bed house, 35 panes and they were on site for a whole 9 mins including getting the equipment out the van and putting it back. One window, frame and sill took just 4 seconds. Avoid unless you are at home to supervise! Wish I had read the other poor reviews.

I basically signed up for a £30 month subscription just for someone to spray water on my windows and clear off. When I had a cold call at my door to sign up for this service I was informed the windows and sills, plus the fascia’s would get cleansed, but no such luck. The first clean was complete waste of my money, guy came round sprayed waters at windows, leaving streaks and the sills and fascia’s remained dirty. I immediately cancelled after the service. I could have done what he did myself with the jet wash!

We’re so pleased we found Abacus. They clean the outside windows at our home in Ascot, and every time they visit the house feels instantly brighter. There’s something lovely about looking out through properly clean, sparkling glass — especially on a sunny day — and they never disappoint. Do not use this window cleaning company!!!! My back gate was left open for around an hour and half, my kittens are now lost who were to small to jump my garden fence. My dog also got lose but luckily manage to retrieve her. When calling the company I was told there was nothing they could do other than speak to the cleaner !

My windows were cleaned for the first time today by George , apon arrival he introduced himself and the company , he explained the process of the windows being cleaned which I found reassuring. Used this company for the first time and the windows were not cleaned properly, some were missed completely. Then they broke our roller shutter door, as they knocked something over, left it and then told me I could shut it. I did this and heard a noise and so ran to stop the shutter and removed what was stopping it from shutting. We had this on camera and they would not accept responsibility and tried to blame me, even though it was obvious this was not the case. We didnt have to pay for the windows but now we are being ignored and have had to pay to fix damage caused by their carelessness to our roller shutter door. Will not use again.

This company has little respect for elderly or disabled pedestrians. As they seemingly only have short hoses, they have to park across the pavement, totally blocking it and forcing pedestrians into the road. They need to buy longer hoses so they can park more considerately! The drivers need to look at the RNIB website and see the inconvenience such irresponsible parking causes disabled. On the plus side, they were very quick, so weren't causing an obstruction for too long on this occasion.

Pathetic service, I couldn’t recognise windows were cleaned And they cleaned the windows without consent and kept chasing for money, suggest not to encourage sales agents knocking the door, they assume the consent and chase for money

Customer service is dreadful. Signed up with these guys and signed up with GoCardless online so they could bill me easily after visits. I received an email a while after my first clean to inform me they had sent me the wrong details to sign up to on GoCardless, meaning they are not able to bill me. This is obviously a mistake on their behalf which they admitted. I decided to bank transfer the money instead as payment to try and make their lives easier. They didn’t show up for a while so I emailed to ask when they would next be back to clean my windows. I was informed that my account was suspended as I had not paid soon enough after the first clean. Surely this should have been flagged by your staff as a mistake your end? No apology was given at any stage.

Disappointed to say the least. The guy come and cleaned my windows and stole from my garden and when I called up I was told that, this would not happen because they are DBS checked???? So does that make me a lier? But I'm DBS checked too. I dont understand how that means that person does not steal? Poor customer service. I would give 0 stars if I could. Stealing is the bottom of the barrel for me.... I didnt report this to gain anything but to get my belongings returned but no one was willing to even look into it.

Our windows and doors were cleaned by them for the first time today. The entire job took only two to three minutes, which I confirmed on my outdoor cameras. I can assure you that, despite all the promises they make – whether customer satisfaction, spotless glass, or cleaned frames, sills, doors and windows – they do not deliver, not one of them. It is remarkable how consistently disappointing they are. All they did was splash some water. They certainly did not clean the sills or anything else, and in fact our windows were noticeably cleaner before their visit. Now they are covered with spots and streaks, despite their so-called guarantee. They are refusing to issue a refund because I will not allow them to “rectify” the work. That is hardly surprising, as they are clearly incapable of cleaning properly, and I will not give them the chance to make things worse, as they have already done for many other people according to their Google reviews.

I switched to Abacus a couple of years ago now, the service they have given over those 2 years has been exceptional. Getting notification the day before they come is really helpful and the quality of the cleaning is second to none. I thoroughly recommend them.

I have used this company now for about a year and no problems in the past however today I have cancelled any further cleans as I was home on a bright hot sunny day with my downstairs large windows open came out of my kitchen to find window cleaner here doing the front windows and water all over indoor window ledges and indoor floors… surely it would have been common sense to knock the door and ask me to close them as it must have been obvious I was at home!!!

Cleaned the windows so well that they didnt need to move the cobwebs to clean under them. 20 minutes, a long brush and not a squeegee in sight. I also had to spend 30 minutes buffing out the water drops on all windows

tried to scam my elderly grandmother who lives alone by claiming she hadn't paid after she paid in cash on the day. avoid and find a reputable business that isn't money hungry and scheming. edit: what a professional way to reply; calling people liars. point proven. this company harassed my sick grandmother and made her incredibly worried that she hadn't paid and clearly that's part of their business model to target the elderly with poor memory. when she said that the cleaner signed to confirm she paid the ONE HUNDRED POUNDS, not 25, in cash they backpedalled on their scam. anyone reading this can find a much better service than these lowlifes.

Had no issue with the work but about a week later i got a text from them saying payment for WINDOW CLEANING was overdue & to send immediately. When i replied that i paid cash on the day, I got another text now saying the overdue payment was for GUTTER CLEARING not window cleaning. I replied again that I also paid cash for that & got a signature from the guy. Got a text back saying they would update their books. Never known a company to be so unprofessional.

Not a brilliant experience to be fair, salesman pitched a 100% guaranteed service yet after the 1st visit 3 windows were missed and the others not great. Asked for them to be done again and the 2nd visit wasn't much better with the same windows being missed and the food bin being sent flying on the way out. Needless to say the service has been cancelled.

On my way home I was driving behind a van that had the company number on it, I actually am in need of gutter and window cleaning so I called the number, said what I just wrote and the woman just said "you're driving behind the van?" after which she cut the call. Very unprofessional and weird. What's the point of the number on a van if you won't provide service for calling?

This was the 1st time having my windows done & the last too. My windows were weren’t clean in certain places, they don’t dry your windows either so when i had woken up the next day, windows had water marks all over them. I do not recommend this company.

After our windows were cleaned for the first time,they were left with streaks and water droplets. This was across a number of windows. I rang and complained and was informed we would have them redone as they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. They duly turned up today to redo them and they have actually been left in a worse condition then the first time. I phoned to again complain also informing that we would not be paying for such a sloppy service 2nd time round I also requested the salesman who made the initial contact with us to come and inspect the windows. The response over the phone was: we expect you to pay as it was a second visit and the salesman would not attend to inspect. I was also asked to take pictures to send to them via e-mail which they would send me to reply. I have duly taken the pictures but am still waiting to be sent the email to respond to. They quoted for a gutter clean job in Reading. I agreed and sent them the £160 they asked. Arranged a day well in advance. reminded them the day before. Today their sub contractor decided he was late and could not be bothered to phone and advise. The office was gruff when I called to ask why the delay. Complete waste of my 3 hours going to Reading and hanging around. Very poor attitude towards customers.

Been using Abacus for a while now and very happy. If I can't be home to give access, it easy to cancel when they send the reminder text, the staff is always friendly and they do a quick but great job every time.

Moved to Abacus after my usual cleaner moved away. The first two window cleans were OK but the conservatory roof clean was bad. The guy that attempted it on the first visit was only able to do half the roof as it needed two people. On the second attempt I was pressed to confirm all was OK despite the roof being wet and impossible to inspect properly. When it dried it was obviously still dirty. Abacus flatly refused to redo it as I had supposedly approved the work and instead tried to blame rain since the first clean a few days earlier - clearly ridiculous as the first half they cleaned was fine. 50% discount given but who cleans half a roof? Cleaned what I could myself in the end. Won't use Abacus again. **Factually incorrect reply from Abacus. The roof was not recleaned, half was missed first time around so it was the first clean for the half of the roof in question. The first half was cleaned OK so it's nothing to do with my 'exceptionally high standards' just do it right first time and take the time to read your customer's reviews properly**

Following years of using uncommunicative window cleaners, who would visit at their convenience and not ours, with no apparent regularity and not always cleaning frames and sills, I was happy to give Cora and her team a try when she joined the Jets. And I'm glad we did! Cora's team were prompt, communicated their arrival time well in advance, and our windows were clean when they left. What more could we ask? Then when we realised we'd not asked them to include the conservatory roof, they returned in a matter of days to do so. We look forward to clean windows from now on thanks to Abacus!

I booked them 2 months ago for windows cleaning they came did the job but left my windows with streaks, dry spots .I have been told it was my first cleaning and chemicals were left from previous window cleaners .Booked them again for gutters and windows cleaning the same happened streaks,dry spots and dirty sills.They didn’t do the whole left side of gutters until I have complained to office.They came back re done the windows but left with marks ,spider webs and dirty sills, gutters cleaned just the bottom and told me they can’t do the rest bec of safety reason!So after having a hustle for 3h sorting with the office a rude manager told me she can offer me £25 off the bill which is £151 (for 15min job)I disagreed and asked £50 off and told them not going to use them in future as the service is bad.Now they are threatening me with small court claim for £50!!!!😂 I mean do your job properly first!!!!don’t use them!

Booked abascus to clean windows and they actually scratched and damaged them, with bird poo still on the velux. This was on a return visit after as it looked like they hadn't cleaned the windows first time round, I was in the house and saw noone come, and they still charged. I was there for return visit and saw the boy use the hard plastic side of the brush where there were no brissles to scratch off bird poo and scratched the windows. He was gone in under 10 minutes so so quick he was gone before I could go outside to stop him. After complaining they did say they would rectify it, but how to rectify scratched windows? No response since. Terrible, wished they never came round.

Communication always great, window cleaners are always very respectful of the fact they are working on our showroom, always cleaned to a high standard.

We've been using these chaps for a number of years and they were average, but never complained, as I didn't have the time to write / call them / look elsewhere for a better company I just let them carry on! We then had issues with our roof and had scaffolding around the house for about 4 months so we put in a temporary stop to the window cleaning. When we wanted to start up again after the scafoolding came down, they unfortunately had no access to the drive as we had builders vans in and this happened on 2 occasions. Neither of which I knew about as I wasn't in, so didn't advise them of this. When I contacted them about not turning up, always through texting, we were told that because they had no access twice they will not be rescheduling with us and basically told us they have over 7,000 clients and don't really need us! Blessing in disguise really as it has given me the push to find and look for a better company. When they failed to turn up, which over the years has been at least a dozen times, with no advance warning, it's ok, but we do it twice for legitmate reasons and they cancel. Whatever! Am over it! He will no doubt have a response to this, which as a reviewer we do not get a chance to reply to, so whatever the reply is, it'll be an excuse - just read his other replies...! So to Abacus, or whoever this Dave person is, I won't be reading your reply, as you have not shown me any courtesy whatsoever! Wish you all the best with your remaining 6,999 clients.

We researched Abacus and felt comfortable booking them. They were thorough with their quote and very professional in the pre-visit communication. I reviewed the work after they were finished and felt there were a few things that needed addressing. Their response and response time were excellent as they sent another technician with a few days and he sorted out the small issues. Very happy with the service and booking team are lovely to deal with!

The pole system used is not effective for leaving your windows ‘sparkling’ the windows are left wet therefore dry with streaks all over them. The company was very helpful when I called and said I wasn’t happy and came back to rectify there work but the same process was carried out and streaks left again. I’ll be finding a local window cleaner with a ladder and squidgeee :)

I just moved into a new building, and the windows needed to be cleaned. When I made the booking, I suggested that the company to call before they cleaned our windows because our apartment is built in a way that makes it easy to get confused. I also told them that I live on the first floor and can't access the gardens on the ground floor. They told me that they can clean my windows without any trouble. The first time they came to clean, they cleaned windows that didn't belong to us. They may have been our neighbours' windows, but they didn't call to make sure. They attempted to clean only one side of the building. When I called them back, a woman said that it was my fault because I hadn't left the back garden door open. I told her again that when I made the reservation, I told the company where I lived and that I couldn't get to the garden below. The company told me it was fine. She stated that I must still pay for the services regardless and suggested speaking with manager on Monday. After a discussion with the manager and another attempt to explain the situation and our window position, the manager said they will call and clean the windows again to fix it all. The person who showed up could only clean the front and said that whoever booked us didn’t look at Google Maps and has no idea what they're doing. He said without the access to ground floor gardens he is unable to clean the backside. So, again, only half of our apartment windows were cleaned. The result was bad and had a lot of smudges. Some of the window was cleaned, but some of it was not. Window seals were dirty, muddy, and untouched. Windows weren't really cleaned as only half of window was reached. I'll submit you some photos as proof with my response. The water was also poured inside my neighbours windows below which caused her distress. As a cherry on top, a few days later, the company van was driving around our estate and stopped suddenly on double yellow lines straight after traffic lights to greet someone and with his actions put other cars in danger unable to cross traffic lights behind him. Very arrogant behaviour. At the end I paid for half of windows £10 only, but this does not change the fact that windows weren’t cleaned up to my expectations and standards. I'm very disappointed with your company, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This company have just finished cleaning my windows. Such a poor service. I am not happy about this and I would never make this mistake of using this company again. I have read previous review of a customer that complained of this same service and nothing was done. Not embarrassed of their services. It would be a waste of my time to contact them then.

They kept missing a window on their visit, when I told them about it, they said they would make sure it’s cleaned the next time. The next time, it wasn’t cleaned again, when I addressed this to them they said it was black mould so it would need a more intense clean they can’t achieve with their high tech window cleaning gear. However, a wet paper towel cleaned it just fine. They were quite rude about my unhappiness with their cleaning quality, and refused to come back, so I had to resort to sending them video evidence of how effective a wet paper towel was at cleaning this supposed black mould that required intense cleaning, they then begrudgingly agreed to return, and when they did return, still didn’t clean it properly. So, I asked to cancel their services as I was not happy with the cleaning quality and the rude customer service, they demanded I pay them in full for their last insufficient clean, I paid just to get rid of them. Edited to add: condescension is a form of rudeness. Similar to spelling someone’s name wrong when replying to a review.

Recently had my gutters and my windows cleaned by Abacus and I cannot fault them. It was easy to book and pay over the phone by a friendly and professional receptionist. I Got a text the day before they came and the guy that cleaned my windows and gutters completed the job professionally and quickly without needing to disturb me as I'd left my gate open and already sorted payment. Very happy customer and I will continue to use them in the future.

Can't give more than one star because they didn't turn up and now being harassed for payment

From reviews I decided to use this company for my windows, fascia and soffit clean. They charged double the standard rate, as it was a one off clean and took a very healthy deposit! But sadly the actual clean was less than acceptable. I have since tried contacting to see if the work would be finished to an acceptable standard but the director will only email. I have sent images, which I would like to be able to post, but I can’t, to show how bad the finish was but they seem more than happy to just take the money, I was told only a few smears, if only I could share the images of just how filthy the windows and doors are! As a company owner myself I would be very embarrassed and disappointed to have someone send me images showing what he has seen, but sadly doesn’t care and thinks but not charging the small amount left, it is doing me a favour. Very sad to see no standards are met. It is very clear that it is either clean or not clean and that is what you pay for! Very poor indeed and wish no one has the experience I have had! Dave the voice recording does clearly state to clean the windows, fascia and soffit though! I also have clear recording showing your operatives at my property no longer than 3 hours at most, but time should not be a factor if the job is not complete as your company were sent images of the property prior!!

I have only positives things to say about this company so far. Aaron has been our window cleaner from the start and he is always great at communicating, arrives when he has said he will, extremely fast but very efficient and definitely the best window cleaner we have had. Would definitely recommend.

Have used Abacus for years, always polite and friendly and I particularly like that I get a message the night before to remind me they are coming and I can pay on line. Love how clean my windows look when they have finished I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Had our windows and doors cleaned today for the first time and we decided to go with this company. Sad to say that I’m not happy with the way the cleaned it. After the guy washed it with their cleaner, he didn’t bother drying it up. Thought that he would so that it’d be streak free. He came and did all the windows and doors and left, didn’t even know that he’d gone, l was waiting for him to come back. Not friendly at all. Some parts of the windows were still dirty. I could’ve cleaned it better myself. Waste of money. Told my husband to look for a different window cleaner. Took some photos, unfortunately there’s no option to add photos on this website.

The team arrived and worked quickly, quietly and very efficiently leaving my windows sparkling clean all for a very good price. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Fabulous Team Fabulous Result

Not completely happy with the standard. I didn’t see they were using any form of soap; instead just used water that’s it. Marks are still visible. I will not use the company service n will not recommend to my friends

Moved in to Shinfield Meadows since 2018 and used Abacus windown cleaning since than. Always very reliable and impressive customer care since day one. As you know many companies after a while they loose customer retention due careless and poor works being carried out. I have to to say that they continue to clean my windows at a high level!

Abacus clean the windows at my work (nursing home) so well so I thought il try them at my home. I wasn’t disappointed, like my work they did a lovely job my frames and sills were cleaned as well. I paid by direct debit and they text to let me know they are coming so I can unlock my gate. Highly recommend very polite work force and brilliant job !!!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend this company, I really like the fact they contact you the day before so you know they're coming. Very professional and friendly and my windows are always left looking amazing.

Worst windows cleaning experience ever. After their 1st visit they left the windows and frames dirty. They came back and explain that they didn't clean properly because they were affrayed to break the windows!! They left with marks still visible on the frames and windows. I send some pictures to their admin lady called Nathalie. She refused to send someone back. She was very aggressive on the phone and refused to admit that they didn't clean properly. I had to pay £25 and end up cleaning the windows myself.

I really like how my windows were left, dried lovely. 11/10 recommend to someone else. Thanks for the great customer service too :)

Really processional service, would recommend!

I have received the worst window cleaning experience. The job was obviously done in a hurry, with no level of professionalism what so ever. I then received a text telling me that my details were being passed on to a debt collection company ( as I refused payment). When I called to question the text, I was told that I should have called them back to re do the job !!!!!! I explained that if I have a bad meal, I don't go back to the restaurant !!! I was told it's hardly the same ! Laughable response. Don't touch this so called business with a window cleaning pole !
