Big Heart Tree Care did a fantastic job clearing a large amount of earth in preparation for our landscaper. Jon and his team were efficient, friendly and helpful. The two of them managed to clear our garden in just 6 hours! We were very impressed. Jon left the area just as he found it, there was no trace of him even being there! Jon also stayed and assisted us with placing our fence panels in and advised us on planing some trees and explaining what would work best for our garden. Overall, we are very impressed with every aspect of the service and we would highly recommend him for his great work, efficiency and knowledge. We needed our hedges trimmed as they were very overgrown. Their team were very profession and prompt with the work. We recently had Jon and his team out to remove a large tree and plank up the trunk for us, and they were brilliant from start to finish. Jon and his team were absolutely top-tier. They felled a large tree situated in an incredibly tight spot in record time—originally estimating a full day, but nearly finishing up by 2:00 PM. Jon’s professionalism, depth of knowledge, and positive attitude were inspiring, and his team was polite, hard-working, and happy to answer my questions throughout the day. What really set Jon apart was how far above and beyond he went: he even offered to help process the timber into planks we can use for projects around our home. On top of that, their quote was by far the most reasonable of all the estimates we received. Their cleanup was completely impeccable. They cleared away every bit of debris from both our garden and our neighbour's property, to the point where our neighbours actually commended them on how respectful and tidy they were. I can't recommend Jon and his team enough for any job, big or small—they will be my very first call for all future tree work!

We recently had a large ash tree removed due to ash dieback, and I honestly cannot recommend John and the team at Big Heart Tree Care highly enough. We obtained several quotations from reputable companies, but John immediately stood out because of his conscientious and professional approach. He was the only tree Surgen to identify that neighbouring trees contained bat boxes and took the time to explain the implications and advise us on obtaining the correct confirmation before any work was undertaken. Other companies either overlooked these important environmental considerations or simply didn’t mention them. Throughout the whole process, John demonstrated genuine care for both the safety aspects of the work and the wider environment around our garden, including the potential for protected wildlife in surrounding trees. Fabulous service from Jon at Big Heart after I called him for help when a large Ash Tree branch cracked and was threatening to demolish our garden fence. Despite his busy schedule he responded immediately and turned up with his team to safely remove the branch. Jon from Big Heart Tree care did an exemplary job with the trees at Christ Church, Reading, where I am the vicar. When a tree was discovered to be dangerous and needed urgent felling, Jon organised everything and made the process run very smoothly. Outstanding service! Jon and the team did a top rate job to take down a dead tree and maintain a tall hedge/shrubbery. They were polite, professional and extremely efficient. The work was carefully done with very good knowledge of each type of plant involved. They cleared away everything and in fact left the garden far tidier than it was before they arrived! Access to our rear garden is difficult - through a narrow shed - but they took this in their stride. Big Heart is by far the most responsive of the several tree/hedge maintenance providers in the area, and I have tried several. Jon responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and swiftly came round (on a weekend) to check the site. Big Heart's rates are also extremely fair compared to other providers in the RG4 area. Great communication throughout the whole process. They tidied up perfectly when the job was finished. Really enjoyed the process as these conifers were big and one in particular was dangerous with lots of trunking. A real hazard in stormy weather and a danger to the public; relief they are gone now. I have now used him and his team twice over the last two years, first to remove two conifers in the back garden which were tricky as were next to a glass conservatory, and then second to trim a massive beech tree at the front and trim a neighbouring hedge. On both occasions Jon and team were very helpful, on-time first thing in the morning and did a phenomenal and clean job. Left the back garden and front neat and tidy and took all cuttings away. I found Jon to be very knowledgeable and personable, he gave me a few suggestions on the beech tree and how i can grow other smaller plants underneath it. All in all, a great experience of working with Jon and his team, i will use him again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

John and his team are professional, polite, thorough and I would not use anyone else for our tree work. We have a group of 10 tall conifers that are in a tricky place at the end of our garden, between outbuildings and a fence. A team of 5 guys spent 3 hours yesterday doing a fantastic job and they cleared up as they went, chipping the considerable amount of wood that they removed. When they left you would not have known they had been there, they left everything so tidy. Cost effective for the time and effort they took and the trees look in great condition now. I would recommend Big Heart Tree Care to anyone.

Jonathan and his team felled a large Acacia tree and ground away the stump below ground level, as we asked what an amazing job. Not only were they safe, fast, tidy, professional, and hard working all of this was done on a very difficult steep plot. Jonathan and his team had to take the extremely heavy stump grinder up three flight of stairs that needed to go through a very tight gap with minimal room for manoeuvre. I came across Big Heart Tree Care when I saw some really impressive work on our neighbours Silver birch trees undertaken by them. The work was done in such a aesthetically pleasing way and beneficial to the trees and local environment that I got in touch. Jon and the team @ Big Heart Tree Care did such an amazing job felling down 3 quite large trees in my back garden, removing the stumps from these as well as cutting others back to the property boundary, removing a hedgerow at the front, and also removing a neighbouring tree which would have caused damage to my property foundations if not removed. The price Jon quoted was really reasonable - which also included the removal of all cuttings and arisings. Additionally, being a complete novice when it comes to plants and trees, Jon helped me to identify what I did have in my garden, gave some general, basic advice on how manage some smaller trees and shrubs, and was really helpful in answering my queries and giving suggestions where he thought it would help. I was amazed that Jon and the team were able to do the work they did in one afternoon! My garden and surrounding areas were left clean and tidy - a stand up job! I can't thank John enough for his selfless attitude to the service he is providing here. If you need a tree surgeon who is sensitive to the needs of the trees then definitely this is the place to go. I highly recommend it and now know where to go if I need them in the future too. I have two trees that are not wanted by the neighbours. But these trees in themselves are beautiful old trees that harm no one. They are on my property. Unfortunately I had to consult Tree surgeons in the town to see what I can do to appease the neighbour and it looked like nothing short of taking it down would satisfy. While 2 others refused the job saying that it would be a carnage to destroy such large graceful and harmless lives, John went a step further. He offered to talk to them and even explain why trimming them would not achieve what they wanted. When that didn't do for me he went ahead and made a tree preservation order to the council on both of my trees that my family heartily welcomes. I am a very much grateful customer. Thank you.

Asked big heart tree care to give me a quote for removing my yucka stump, when he came he gave great advice about removing it myself and advised to get a mattock. To which I replied yes my dad has given me his. He said well let me have a try, he did and got it out there and then to my amazement! He also provided entertainment for me and my young daughter in the form of his beautiful very well behaved dog! Not only did he do this but gave me great advice on how to move my existing abelia plant and hibiscus. I've used Jonny and his team a couple of times now. He's a reliable, courteous and professional guy. The key thing that stands out about him is his genuine interest in trees and coming up with a workable solution for you. Others are just keen to hack things down and basically just remove a tree, but if you want some who understands trees and making a solution that also preserves them, Jonny is your man. He also leaves the site immaculate after the work. A true professional who takes pride in his work and enjoys working with trees! He's got a great friendly team with him too. Highly recommended.

Jon provided fantastic assistance in an emergency. With high winds and low light it wasn't possible to remove a high and heavy damaged branch. Jon gave advice, practical assistance and the loan of some wooden boards to provide emergency protection for a garden building that was at risk of severe damage. He really went out of his way to help when most would have just apologised and left. An unqualified five stars and great thanks.

Jon and the team did a great job on the twisted willow in my back garden. They came round very soon after quoting for the work which was great. The best options were discussed and we came up with a plan to retain the Willow but "Pollard" it back as it had become much too large to handle. They left a clean and tidy site after. In addition the cost of the work was very competitive, being approximately a quarter of the cost quoted from another well known tree care firm.

Jon and his team turned up and worked efficiently during the day. As the house has just been renovated, they took utmost care to ensure the cutting and debris removal was done without disruption. Jon and his team felled a huge, diseased Scots Pine in my garden on Thursday 13th August. They were brilliant and I marvelled at the skill it took to remove this tree in such a confined space! Very professional and they cleared away every scrap of wood. I have no hesitation in recommending them. What a great bloke John is = he and his team worked so hard, so quickly, so efficiently and so brilliantly. There is not a spec of leaf, dust, twig etc let from masses of trees removed/trimmed. I've used loads of tree companies = John is 100% the best = a great honest bloke who never increases his estimate and gave me exactly what he agreed. A truly incredible find in this day and age.
