Personal visit for quote next day. Quote was over £300 cheaper than other two companies who quoted. The guys arrived on time on day of the job. The job was completed quickly and all debris disposed of. Delighted with the service and the result. 😊

Second time using Middlemore to cut back and tidy up our Willow Tree. As previously, this was carried out extremely well. Garden left nice and tidy to. We'll certainly use again in a few years time when the willow once again needs a haircut!

The reason for my five star review is down to several factors. 1) David is a pleasure to deal with. No frills, very fair and commercially amicable. 2) David’s team does an excellent job. 3) Nothing is too much trouble. One time they’d almost packed up their gear and I asked them to go back up and cut a branch (on a hot Friday afternoon). No whinging just did it. 4) They are very honest. By accident a fence panel was broken. I probably wouldn’t have seen this until later on. Unprompted, they advised me of this and said they would come back the next day and replace it. As it happens our neighbour fixed it but the point stands. 5) You wouldn’t know they’ve been there apart from cutting the tree(s). They do a great job of trying up. 6) the team that actually cut the trees are a pleasure to deal with. Really sound as a pound 7) I’ve had two trees cut a few years apart and it was pretty much the same crew. A stable team says a lot about how David runs things.

Very punctual and quick to start work. Work all completed to my satisfaction and all branches removed. Garden left in a very tidy condition.

David and his colleagues arrived on the day arranged and worked hard in the heat. They dolid a good job with the trees, were friendly, polite, professional and cleared up well afterwards.

We needed significant work on our oak tree with a TPO. We had a fast response from David to assess the requirements & application submitted on our behalf. Upon the agreed date for work to be carried out, the enthusiastic team arrived early to prepare the site for safe working. The team were respectful of our property during the 5/6 hours of work & were a pleasure to have on the premises. Great teamwork with friendly co- ordination with our neighbours impacted by the work involved. A very professional local business that we would happily employ again for any tree work required.

We had David and the team in today to remove a willow tree and reduce the height on some conifers which had grown too tall. From start to finish everything was very professional. Would highly recommend to anyone needing tree surgery.

Middlemore came in to cut back some trees that were overhanging into our back garden. Firstly they were early which was much appreciated and we have the added problem that there is no access directly to the back garden so everything had to be taken through the house/garage. Really pleased with the results and the team made sure that they cleared up thoroughly. Would definitely recommend.

Middlemore Tree Surgery removed a very overgrown conifer from our back garden yesterday and I’m very pleased with the result. Tree surgery - good, Fencing - average, Attitude- poor. Overall, a disappointing experience given the great reviews I read that convinced me to call for a quote and book a job worth a few thousand pounds...The tree surgery was great. The fence install was fast but sadly when it came to final inspection and payment, a gate post was split and damaged, a hinge for the gate was damaged, the hinge attached to the gate was well off centre and also damaged. The post the gate was attached too was also loose and the gate dropped over the next 2 days to the point it wouldn't bolt shut Problems began while discussing issues with David. After speaking to the lads who came out to do the final repair and pointing out I wasnt happy, and wanted post replacing and rebedding and metalwork replaced as it's over £2000 I'm paying. Workers agreed it wasnt great. I was passed the phone with David on the other end who's first reaction was to tell me he'll "come and take the fence down then" in a bit of a strop- not what I wanted to hear from an adult in business... Next came the request for full payment on an incomplete job as according to David he didn't have enough money to pay suppliers and his workers before he went away- not my problem, but appreciating his situation, I transferred him another £1000. They returned and replaced the metal work and remedied the fence post, and also turned the hinges around on one post (so the weight bearing hinge was on the bottom of the post, as seems best practice according to a gate manufacturer AND 2 other firms I've had out to review the work) BUT not the other post, which remains with the weigh bearing hinge at the top, stressing the post. I contacted David again and asked to do the other post aswell and was informed he'd knock £200 off for the post as he "didnt want to waste any more time on it" which surprised me, given he seems to have a reputation for doing a thorough job. Almost immediately another request for full payment came through. I expressed my suprise at his change in attitude and asked to meet in person to discuss- David refused (see messages attached) and at this point I decided to pay the final £1200 of the invoice and have them off site. I've put the £200 discount into having the gates hung properly by another firm, which is sad given Middlemore appeared from reviews to be conscientious...I'm aware David was the victim of a break in at his unit at the beginning of the week and this was flagged by his workers as a reason for his rudeness, but to be honest, my business bank account got hacked the same week- but I didn't let it affect the quality of my business or my work. Granted at one point David did text and apologise for sounding "off" and blamed his stressful week, but this was followed by more poor attitude and refusal to see me in person. Accountability wise, initially the blame for the poor quality gate work and fitting damaged metal work was shifted to his workers, telling me he's no longer on the tools due to a managerial roll which is fine, but I felt there was no need for the attitude that came with the whole process of remedying obvious snags. Maybe all these 5 star reviews went without a hitch and they didn't have to navigate customer services with David. To summarise, Middlemore stated they had "done what they quoted for" (which also wasn't accurate as David quoted for 6 concrete posts and only fitted 3!) and if i wanted the second post remedied, I'd have to pay for another post and more cement- I refused and paid the rest of bill, as I'd already paid for the post and cement once already, and it was David's workers that had rounded off the screws making replacement impossible. I'm sure there'll be some kind of rebuttal of this information from the business owner but it is what it is...I run my own businesss aswell and I wouldn't be wasting my life taking the time to leave a review about this if I didn't think it was worth it and I wasn't still offended. So like I said, tree surgery seems great. Just don't have any problems with fencing or gates...

Dave and his team put up a fence for us, offered a good price and did the job on time with no fuss and cleared any mess leaving our garden clean and tidy - all in not so great weather. Really pleased with the fence and can thoroughly recommend Middlemore.👍

Very quick and efficient service. Came out to quote and got job booked in for the following week within hours of contact. Lads were really friendly and removed all the debris (even climbing over the side roof) Tree looks great. I was very happy however they even came back to trim extra after complaints and accusations of hostility received from one of the neighbours that they missed her side. Again being really friendly and helpful during the whole process. Definitely recommend

We had Middlemore’s to deal with 3 trees recently. They surveyed the job in a timely fashion, produced a quotation to reduce the height and spread without impacting the shape, and following our acceptance set a time and date to carry out the work. They arrived as agreed and completed the work in a safe, efficient way, removing all the waste completely and tidied up so well that it was as if they hadn’t been! Highly recommended.

No problems with these guys. Came to quote quickly when I was let down by another company who were booked to do the work 2 months previously. They Arrived on time but unfortunately the job ran over into the late evening with no light to continue. Excellent service! My family own a field in Bromsgrove with the boundary hedge fronting the lane having become overgrown and had created blind spots for traffic. I contacted David at Middlemore and he carried out a site survey the next day. David answered my emails promptly, made all the arrangements for a highway permit and the work was carried out last week completely to my satisfaction. Highly recommended!

I had a very large hedge of mixed laurel leylandis and Holly, they shouldn't have been there and had totally engulfed the original hawthorn, but the team manged to cut them back and expose and protect the hawthorn, also took a privet hedge down about 6inches so it was more manageable for me. Good job and good team, thank you.

Professional, efficient and very hard working! These guys removed a huge birch tree from our garden along with 3 overgrown firs and worked into the darkness to ensure the job was done well. They tidied up as much as they could and worked non-stop until the job was finished. I would certainly recommend them.

I recently contacted David at Middlemore Tree Surgery regarding conifer roots in my front garden. They provided an excellent and prompt service at a very reasonable price. The quality of the removal exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them.

This is the second time we have used the team. From first contact to completion the service, communication and delivery has been exceptional. We are not gardeners - so the team had a fairly large job to do! Cleaned up well afterwards. I particularly like the clarity of the invoicing - you know exactly what you’re paying for which with a multi-tree/area job is important. Would highly recommend.

I contacted Middlemore Tree Surgery on recommendation when I needed 2 large sycamore trees pollarding and the very untidy laurel hedge in front of them taming. Really glad I did use Middlemore Tree Surgery and extremely pleased with the job. The price was very competitive and included removing an old shed that was blocking access to the trees and hedge. My garden is a slope with these trees at the top and the only access via steps so I knew it would be some a task. David and his team were great – professional, friendly, tidy and very hard working. I will definitely use them again and would readily recommend.

David's team carried out extensive work on just under half an acre garden. The work was carried out to a very high standard and nothing was too much trouble. The garden now looks immaculate. It's the second time we have used Middlemore Tree Surgery. Very friendly and they did a great professional job. We needed two trees cut down and several trees and hedges trimmed at the front and back of our decent sized garden. The three of them worked very efficiently together as a team and did the job in less than 3 hours and cleaned up well after them! Having the proper tools for the job also helped! Definitely will have them again!

The original company I called were busy until September and recommended Middlemore Tree Surgery. Required 13 sleepers to be replaced. Dave visited within a few days to quote and was able to accommodate with our dates to complete work. Did a fabulous job and removed all old and left area clean and tidy.
