Wasons

Not many hardware shops left these days, This is a great one. Very decent product range, knowledgable and friendly.

Always helpful. If he doesn't have what you need. He'll recommend someone or somewhere that does.

Always have exactly what your looking for and more. Staff always friendly and happy.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Great hardware & more store - staff always so helpful … & met the boss yesterday - Nick - an inspiration - service with a smile!

A great store if something has broken and you need something. It also has a very good selection of Kitchen essentials and appliances.

Very helpful staff, helped me right away and I in and out in a few minutes. Very wide selection of goods.

Very handy shop , got nearly everything you could possibly need for your home 🏡

Super helpful and convenient Penarth based shop. I try to get all my home improvement goods from here. Theres a decent range of goods for a relatively small store and the staff will engage and try to assist you if you're a bit unsure and looking for advice.

Convenient small local store if you need anything for decorating.

Great shop, good range of DIY and gardening goods and helpful staff. Prices moderate.

I bought some bags of compost yesterday, delivered today. Young man asked where I wanted them put as I have some mobility problems. Real customer care and service. Thank you.

I recently bought a little electric radiator from this store, unfortunately it wasn't big enough for the room I had intended it for so I needed to return it. I was given a refund with no problem at all. To me this is the mark of a good service. I will definitely be back for all my hard ware requirements. So don't hesitate to check yhis store out.

Nice independent store with a great range of products from kitchen utensils, cleaning products, light bulbs, batteries and lots more. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help out. It's my local go to.

Brilliant hardware shop. Not many of these left! I had been looking for a coal shovel for ages and got just what I wanted from here plus other useful items.

This is a little DIY jewel in a B&Q/Wickes desert. It satisfies the majority of any handyman's needs, apart from timber, at a reasonable price. Please support it and keep it going.

Many of the staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. Very well stocked. Items they don't have they will often offer to order. It's good to shop locally.

Good staff very helpful

Great shop lots of special offers

Helpful and local, this shop is well stocked and reasonably priced for the high street.

There's always something you need in the corners and the staff are great when you can't find it!

Very helpful, good value

I asked for something not realising it was not a service they offered.....they could see it was not something at my age...almost dinosaur..I could do and said.ok we will do that for you...and then said they would deliver the end product...this is a real local firm that cares about its customers....5 stars all the way....

I do a lot of small projects at home and I manage to get all the little nuts and bolts, brackets, wood and piping I need, the staff are always friendly and helpful

Everything you need, always helpful, and they can deliver too 🙂🕊💖🕊🙂

Used Wasons for years, for all my DIY 'bits and bobs'. Always seem to have a solution to my problem and refreshing to be in walking distance rather than having to drive to an 'industrial park'!

What a fantastic shop.. everything you could want... staff so helpful too.

Everything a DIY person would need

Great place

Love this shop. B and Q could learn a lot from these guys. They sell everything. Really. Everything.

Always have what you need, friendly team

Great service and a massive range of products.

Brilliant local DIY and homeware store

High prices not worth the money. Stay away chip shop across the road far nicer. Will never go again. If you like lamb chops still alive and bleeding carry on

Excellent service. Very reasonable.

Excellent hardware shop with friendly staff.

Just what I need. Good prices and very helpful staff. I am always surprised as to the range of goods they stock, and it always seems to be good quality. Wasons is a real asset for Penarth center. Recommended for a visit before you travel far.

Looks old fashioned, but that's because it is- with old fashioned customer service and old fashioned "Made in the UK'. A GREAT FIND. I'm treated like family and am offered a cheaper item, if it does the job. It's so refreshing to buy a tin of paint without being asked "Would you like a paint brush to go with that?" Highly recommend this shop.

Great, very helpful.

High quality knowledgeable service.

Great shop

Great store with helpful staff, allows me to avoid driving 20 mins if i need some home fixing stuff.

A very helpful store

I have been using this shop for 7 years now and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This is one of those "magical" hardware stores that always has what you need. I have never been disappointed shopping there, from DIY tools, garden stuff, kitchen things, cleaning consumables and (of course) hardware this shop has the lot. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive when I've compared to B&Q and Wickes. This is a much valued part of Penarth hight street.

Individual and personal service, Great. A very rare service indeed.

Good for most things

Can always get what we need

Got what I wanted helpful staff

A splendid store staffed by friendly helpful people - the young lady who pointed me in the direction of the fluorescent tubes is a credit to this establishment - a wonderful shop!

Not open on sunday dispite there listing saying it is open, shut show as I drove all the way to prnarth

A bit more expensive than big DIY stores, but excellent customer service and a wide range of stock.

helpful staff

Packed with all the things you need for garden or decorating no good in wheelchair

Staff not overly helpful and came away preferring to make the out of town trip to B&Q to ensure I had the right advice

Some of the staff had a didn't care about you attitude. Gone down hill.

Excellent service

A bit of everything here

So helpful

Really annoying to walk past a shop and keep getting these unsolicited messages

This store seems to have everything. Lovely friendly staff too.

Large well priced stocked store very helpful staff

Nice to see a shop like Wasons still going with all the internet DIY dropshippers taking over.

Really helpful and friendly staff

Always helpful. Great staff and proprietor

Very good as always 👏

Where else can you buy a single nut washer or screw? Always amazes me how much you can find in such a small shop, and if they don't have it, they'll get it for you PDQ. Always helpful, great service!

Wide selection of anything diy related at reasonable prices, also some gardening equipment.

Good selection

Great helpful staff good prodicts

Good quality & decent prices local DIY store on edge of Penarth High Street that now also includes kitchen & home furnishings. As a local store choice is more limited, but they do carry a surprising amount of stuff for their size. So often best to ask if you can't immediately find something.

For a relatively small shop, it has everything you can think you need.

Pretty good diy store. Good customer service.

An amazing hardware store with a vast range of just about everything. If you live in Penarth count yourself fortunate as this style of store is vanishing fast.
