I am a retired engineer and had been considering changing our reliable but inefficient 1960's cast iron Glow Worm boiler for many months. I approached three different companies who all came and conducted surveys. I had a number of technical queries arising from the quotes received, but only Regen Renewables answered my queries and visited to both answer the queries and make small changes to the design. It should be stated that the survey and installation were all carried out by experienced and competent engineers who overcame all practical difficulties, were helpful and informative and did a neat job. The basic system was up and running in two days, partly due to me ensuring clear access to all radiators and the F&E tank in the loft. Subsequent queries concerning the operation of the system were answered promptly. Reports by Octopus indicated that the running costs of a Heat Pump System were similar to a modern Condenser gas boiler. I have yet to compare the running costs compared with my old inefficient gas boiler, but of course I have the potential to run the Heat Pump system on electricity from solar power to reduce the running costs. Something which is not possible with a gas boiler. The only drawback has been the time it has taken for me to enlarge the airing cupboard to take the larger hot water cylinder, plus bricking up the old gas flue exit and boxing in the space which contained the old gas boiler, which now contains the new circulation pumps and control systems. You should also be aware that alterations and additions to radiators, if needed, require the radiators to be 're-balanced' to ensure an equal and even flow of hot water in all the radiators. This is standard procedure for any radiator installation. This was another task I took on myself. In my view the 'finishing off' and 'setting up' which I took on myself are beyond the scope of many customers, and they should be made aware of the need and help given to having the necessary trades on standby to get the house back in order. Overall, a happy experience with Regen Renewables. System installed quickly, working well and good support.

The purchase of our Air Source Heat Pump was excellent from the initial consultation to the finished installation. Each staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and alleviated any anxieties about the big change to heating our house. The survey was excellent and we received a fully detailed drawing and document of the planned installation.The team of installers worked hard giving respect to our home and leaving it clean and tidy with excellent workmanship. At the end a clear explanation was given on managing the system with a willingness to take time answering our questions. Excellent is the only adjective I have for this company!

End to end process of inspection to installation was seamless, polite and efficient. So far the system is providing a very cosy house. Only issue was that we were told in the sales discussion that we would not be without heating overnight, which proved not to be true. Not a major issue in the event but the only reason for not giving 5 stars

Hats off and three cheers to Regen Renewables! We had a feasibility study done on our property to see if it was possible to have an air source heat pump on the 5th November by Mark Graham, who without any hard selling advised us on the benefits and price. This was followed up by a technical survey 0n the 7th November by Jimmy Schofield who was extremely competent and knowledgeable answering all queries that I put to him. He stated that we would be able to install a smaller unit than was initially estimated and reduced the price by £1000. We were kept informed of every aspect regularly by the office administrator Hannah Fox who is a true asset to the company. She is very polite and respectful with a comforting manner. Then on the 14th November the installation team of 4 arrived for a two day installation. There was one electrician and three plumbers led by the team leader Curtis Rawlings. They were all a very hard-working, courteous and friendly bunch. Once the installation was complete Curtis instructed me on the workings of the system and set up the thermostat. Giving me every confidence in the system and the company. The company is managed by Ashleigh Berry the managing Director and I have given this company a five-star rating, but if the ratings were any higher, I would give 11 out of 10. Well done Regen Renewables I can highly recommend!

Got to say this was a very fast and professional service of the installation of a Samsung Heat Pump at our home. All the people we dealt with have been knowledgeable and helpful from start to finish The installation guys were so helpful and explained everything every step of the way. They cleaned up after themselves and the install in the loft was very neat and tidy. Thank you all very much

Our heat pump was installed a year ago now. The installation was done very professionally and with the minimum of disruption. We had a few “teething” problems but these were dealt with quickly and the system has worked well . We are very satisfied with the product.

Very smooth installation by James, Dylan and the electrician (James). The 2 installation engineers were friendly and efficient and tidied up well. The electrician found an inventive way of connecting the heat pump with no visible wiring in the house. We had to wait an extra couple of days for a radiator to be fitted as the wrong one had been supplied. James went on to explain how the system worked and how to get the best out of it before leaving.

Everyone we dealt with were friendly and polite. The installation team turned up promptly and worked efficiently, and tidily. Through no fault of theirs there was a problem with a part in the hot water tank which meant the work wasn't completed within 2 days but the guys got the part and everything was completed by midday on the 3rd day.

Although we had some issues at the beginning while installing our heat pump, the guys worked out a solution which we are more than happy with. They were tidy and worked very hard and always polite. Would recommend.

The service from the initial introduction and detailed explanation of the benefits of an air source heat pump through to the installation was first class and very professional. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their heating system.

Regen Renewables installed my Heat Pump in July 2012. They were a brilliant team and did a wonderful job. Prior to the installation they carried out a thorough survey to make sure our property was suitable. Every aspect was looked at to make sure we had an efficient system. Two years on and entirely satisfied!! The workforce are a credit to the company.

The installation of the system was good, and it is working well. We had one problem after a few weeks, but that was quickly resolved. Our only concerns are that the original survey didn't note that the cistern would not fit into the existing airing cupboard. We also should have asked more questions when the system was being sold to us.

Regen installed our heat pump in 2021, replacing an oil fired boiler. The work required several new radiators and a hot water tank. We were happy with the work carried out, and our house has been much warmer as a result. The Company have carried out annual services without any problems. We have had a few problems with the app controlling the system, but these have always been resolved satisfactorily for which we are grateful to Edgar. All in all we are happy to have made the switch and have no hesitation in recommending the Company.

In 2022 Regen Renewables installed an air source heat pump in my home. The whole installation was extremely expertly carried out from the initial meeting to the actual installation and upgrading of the radiators (some of which needed atention to restore efficiency). Nothing was too much trouble and they were highly proficient and enthusiastic to do a good job. I have nothing but praise for this company and wold strongly recommend them.

RECOMMENDED! Professionally explained. Professionally installed. The single price they gave us for our system covered absolutely everything from start to finish; Thermodynamic survey, equipment, installation, electrical team, plumbing team, VAT, RHI applications, EPC, certifications. The final invoice equalled the quoted price. Regen Renewables has been a Five Star team at the learning and installation stages of the heat pump. The pump certainly works effectively. Not so brilliant, as chronicled elsewhere in these reviews, is the quality of the user manuals and written instructions for the Hitachi Yakuti hardware. We have struggled to get to grips with the pretty complex interactions of controls for the system and the Japanese manuals just do not translate well into english. Online or telephone support is not readily available, but when contact is made it usually results in a quick solution to the issue. Pipework was juddering loudly for a few seconds whenever the heating or hot water started/stopped causing a nuisance for us and the neighbours. This was found in other installations so the issue was raised with Hitachi who analysed the problem, designed a solution and that has recently been applied to our system. That problem has now gone away. The maintenanace team were as enthusiastic, professional and competent as the installation team. We continue to admire and support this company for their professionalism. The ASHP technology is complex as are the configurations and settings but Regen really did make the decision and installation as easy on us as it could be. RECOMMENDED! Regen Renewables are a very impressive and proffessional company. The initial visit by Zoe to give us a quote was relaxed, professional and we were never pressured to make a decision. Edgar came and surveyed the house and provide the final recommendations that were very thorough and comprehensive. We were kept up to date with progress by Ashleigh and the fitting team lead by Alli did a fantastic job, they cleaned up after themselves and the quality of the installation was excellent. Now the system is in it is working wonderfully and Edgar answers all of our queries promptly. Every year they come and efficiently service our heat pump.

Regen know their stuff and are a great company to deal with I have a moderate sized detached house with solid brick walls built in 1800 previously burning 2.5 tonnes of oil each year. I was sceptical that a heat pump would work, but this kind of retrofit is what Regen do. There was no pushy sales pitch, they were just competent, professional, patient in answering all my questions and convincing A detailed technical survey calculating the heat loss for each room convinced me that it was all feasible The installation team were amazing. Four of them arrived at 8am and I’ve never seen a team of guys work so hard. The water tank was ripped out, replaced and the immersion heater was back on by 3pm. The installation was finished by the following evening There were a few teething troubles. An oil boiler has an oil pump and a fan and that’s about it. A heat pump is a complex, computer-controlled, highly configurable beast, which is a good thing but also means it needs fine tuning to get right Their technical guy was very helpful and responsive in sorting this out They also handled all the paperwork associated with the government heating incentives The heat pump works exactly as promised, even in the coldest temperatures, and achieves an SCOP of 3. Very happy All in all, a very good company to deal with

Two and a half years experience with a heat pump from Regen Renewables After an initial survey in October 2021 our heat pump was fitted together with a bespoke hot water tank (due to limited space in our attic) in March 2022. The fitters worked efficiently and considerately and were amenable to minor changes during the process. The heat pump replaced a domestic heating oil boiler for our 4 bedroom detached house. We have been very pleased with our functioning system -it works! It is reasonably quiet even when working hard in the winter and produces plenty of hot water and supplies all of our radiators very effectively. It's difficult to judge cost due to other changes we have made - not least EV charging. (though cost was not our major reason for installing a pump). One unexpected side-effect was the ability to redesign the garden once the oil tank was removed. We had an excellent response to an early problem caused by sludge in the heating pipes which was resolved quickly and has not recurred. Cons: It's not cheap to install We have no hesitation in recommending Regen Renewables

I had an open source heat pump installed just over a year ago. All my family commented during the winter how comfortable the house felt (it is north facing and usually cold). I thought my bills would be lower but that is not their fault. A power outage in September caused a part to 'blow' and the replacement took a long time to come from Spain. Other than that, I am pleased that I made the change.

I decided to have a heat pump installed by Regen Renewables nearly a year ago. They are a good, friendly and professional team of engineers and fitters. Hannah is especially helpful. I had a slight issue with a leaking valve, but that was easily sorted. My first winter of switching from oil to the heat pump was a bit daunting, but I survived and Edgar was on hand to answer any questions I had. No complaints so far.

Our experience of Regen installing a heat pump has been excellent. Everybody from the company we have meet have been knowledgeable, pleasant and have acted in a professional manner. We are very happy with the new installed system which performs just as we were told it would. During the initial period of our getting use to the new system the after-care service could have been a bit more reactive although any concerns or issues we had were resolved. From our experience we would have no hesitation in recommending Regen.

Regen Renewables fitted our air source heat pump a year ago. We had a little problem with a leaking valve at first, but this was replaced efficiently and everything worked fine after that. We are very pleased with our heat pump. The house stayed lovely and warm throughout the winter, and it's great having constant access to hot water. Nearly all our radiators were replaced with larger ones, but they look very neat and not too big. All the Regen people we have dealt with at every level have been very professional and pleasant. The work was done with very little disruption to us considering the scale of the job. We would recommend Regen to anyone considering a heat pump.

Thoroughly impressed with our experience with Regen Renewables. We had an 8kW Samsung Quiet heat pump installed and it genuinely is really quiet. Sometimes you can't even tell it's running unless you put your head in front of the fan and feel the cold air on your face! From Edgar's initial discussion and the thoroughness of his survey, I felt that we were in safe hands. Alisdair and Peter worked so hard over a 2-day installation to get it all done on time, but always with calm assurance and a determination to do a really neat job of it too (they succeeded!) They were super friendly and happy to answer my many questions or admit if there was something they didn't know, which I appreciated. They (and the electrician & apprentice who briefly joined them on Day 2) also accommodated several requests we had, such as routing cables from the existing consumer unit and invisibly up through an internal wall. We were keen to ensure we'd still be able to fit shelves for towels in the cylinder cupboard, which worked out great, and they routed pipes and capped the gas supply such that we could fit a new cupboard where the old boiler had been. We have had a few minor teething problems since the installation, but all have been fixed quickly and professionally. None of them have affected the heat pump's ability to keep our house lovely and warm through the coldest weather this winter (-5 degrees yesterday, which it handled with ease). I'm generally quite critical of work done in our home and there are a few tradespeople I'd never leave a good review for, or go near again, but I'd have no reservations in recommending Regen Renewables to anyone considering switching to a heat pump (and you really should!)

Unfortunately this organisation will not stop calling and are making an absolute nuisance of themselves. I explained that I was at work and didn’t have the time to speak and ended the call. They have persisted to call back despite asking for my details to be removed from their files

From sceptic to enthusiast, thank you Regen Renewables! Our new heat pump has recently been installed and it’s absolutely brilliant, it’s really quiet and our house is so warm. Also, it’s much nicer looking in our back garden than the old green oil tank! We’d had an extension and were used to lots of workers coming in and out of the house, but Curtis and Dylan were by far the most professional, polite and hard working, (They also cleaned up after themselves!). They talked us through everything that they were doing and took the time to make sure we were comfortable with how to operate the heat pump, which was really straight forward. I was impressed by their determination and tenacity to get the job done, because through no fault of their own they had to stay later than anticipated. We’ll continue to tell our family and friends all about our new heating system and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Regen Renewables to anyone who will listen!

Regen installed our Air Source Heat Pump and did an amazing job. They listened to our need and were very accommodating, completed the job quickly and with great customer care. So many companies will ignore you once the job is done by Regen we’re more than happy to help and take the time to answer any questions we may have had. A bonus is that the energy we’re saving by using the heat pump is saving us money!
