Shawcan Energy Solutions Ltd

Derry was extremely helpful at every stage, very professional. As complete newbies to the Tesla world we can highly recommend Shawcan Energy solutions and we also got ideas for our future energy saving solutions around the house.

We’ve been working on our self-build eco-home for some time. We had the concept of a solar roof and Tesla Powerwall. We approached loads of installers, only two made a site visit and only Derry of Shawcan agreed to do the work. The solar roof was an unfamiliar product for Derry, but he persisted and finally got the set-up working brilliantly. Heartily recommended!

I rarely recommend anyone, but Derry and SES LTD exceeded my expectations. If you need any electrical work, do give them a call. Derry was professional, highly knowledgeable, polite and respectful. The work was very reasonably priced and Derry quickly and tidily carried out the work.

Outstanding supplier and system designer. Derry was very responsive from my first email enquiry and worked extremely hard at a competitive price to produce a first class Powerwall system for us. He couldn’t have been more helpful and the standard of his work was exemplary (particularly his neatness). From managing the (sluggish) DNO application, to the physical installation, to recommending some useful additional parts and then commissioning, he went the extra mile. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great communication from Derry and an excellent job fitting our Tesla charger. We much appreciated all the Tesla tips too and for showing us how to use the app. Derry is very knowledgeable and we would highly recommend. Thank you

Would not hesitate to recommend this company. Conscientious, neat and tidy work was carried out. What impressed me most was that Derry explained what and why he was carrying out the servicing of my air source heat pump. I shall certainly be using him again.,

Excellent installation of a Tesla Wall Connector at my property - Highly efficient and professional. Fully explained everything before the install and helped meet all of my requirements. Would highly recommend and will definitely use Derry again for any future electrical needs.

I get him to installed my charge and put wrong cable on he dasen t know the difference from them my point is how he can do big jobs. Be careful

One happy customer!! Derry came to install a new EV charger and upgrade an existing one on 3 phase, had to move existing meter etc to make it all fit. He really knows his stuff and has an eye for esthetics, even tidying work from a previous electrician! Works tidy and clean with great communication on the work he’s doing. Highly recommend to any one looking for all things electrical. Derry will be the man I call when it’s time for a battery storage installation.

Derry is a top class professional. He is diligent and honest and completes his work to the highest standard. From start to finish Derry has been very thorough in the planning and installation of our tesla charger. He was kind, timely and very respectful of our home. Excellent 10/10 service!

From initial quote to service delivery, Derry was courteous, insightful, professional and responsive with the installation of my home car charger. Highly recommended

Derry was thorough, professional and his communication throughout was brilliant. I would highly recommend his services.

Engineer offered a professional service at installation. Would be happy to use the company again.

Excellent work. Had to completely overhaul our garage electric supply to install a car charger. Derry explained and quoted for the work with a clear timeline and did an exceptional job - with the foresight to 'future proof', even completing a little early. Excellent communication also from start to finish and all paperwork completed and given as well. Highly recommended.

Derry is professional, knowledgeable and highly skilled. He guided me through the charger selection process and helped me understand the pros/cons of the various options. He then have me a competitive quote for the installation. His installation work was simply amazing - the attention to detail and finishing was impeccable. And to top it all off he followed with a courtesy check in and sent me all the relevant certificates and documents a few days later. I would highly recommend Derry for a high quality installation of your EV charger.

Rude people, very over priced, shop around before you get scammed by these guys

Derry arrive promptly as agreed and carried out my electric charger installation as agree. The installation was carried out professionally and to a high standard and left neat and tidy. All documents was duly sent though a couple of days later. Would recommend to others.

Derry was very responsive to emails and went out of his way to arrange a good installation date. Install was very neat and professionally done. Highly recommended.

Best installer to date. Very happy with my clean installation. Looking forward to using it when I have the opportunity.

Derry installed our Tesla home charger. Right from quoting us a price, coming in for a survey , to finally installing on the day, Derry was punctual , courteous and professional to a fault . The quality of the install is first rate. I would not hesitate to use Derry’s services again.

Reliable.Helpful. Professional. Courteous. These are some of the words I’d use to describe Derry and his work installing my Tesla wall charger. I had a problem with it after I took delivery - so contacted him for advice. Although we couldn’t directly solve the problem it’s credit that he took extra time to call me back FaceTime to understand the issue. Problem was with wall charger configuration from factory. Once reset all perfect. Would 100% recommend!

Very professional and installation was completed in a timely fashion. Very knowledgeable and honest company with high integrity. Would recommend.

I picked Shawcan as they are a Tesla recommended installer. Derry was quick to respond and put together a solution to fit our property. The install was thoroughly professional, tidy and allowed for future expansion in our garage. I now feel I have a robust and safe installation for our new Tesla. The car arrived recently and have had no issues charging. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I sent quite a few contacts an email enquiry and Derry was the first to get back to me. He asked a lot of questions and requested pics and videos so he could give me a proper quote. He kept in touch and arrived early for the installation. He kept us informed throughout the process telling us exactly what he was doing and why. Such a lovely gentleman who took into consideration all our requests for the installation to look tidy. Very polite and professional. I’d recommend him to anyone needing Tesla charge installation. Really good guy, thank you!

Derry recently completed our solar panel plus battery installation. We first made contact in Feb 2022 and he was extremely prompt in providing a detailed quote using the latest tech and requiring far less info than all other solar providers contacted. Over the coming weeks we narrowed down our package choice with detailed and considered input from Derry. With the external market variables, time lines and supply issues changing over the coming months, Derry stayed committed to the project despite lots and lots of external mitigating factors! We now have a best fit installation and would recommend Derry's attention to detail and honest, positive approach. His electrical knowledge is excellent and he offers competitive pricing compared to the other quotes we sourced. Derry is still establishing his business and website, but if you are based in Northants/Bucks you should definitely 'shop local' and opt for Shawcan.

Derry and the team were great. They installed a charge point into our business location and were clean, tidy and very mindful of the other business working on the site. We ordered the vehicle quickly and they were able to turn everything around quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent job, very tidy and efficient.

Just having my first venture into EV’s and I researched the market as thoroughly as I could. Shawcan impressed me with their knowledge and their ability to explain what to me is a complex installation in very layman terms. The quality of the work inside the house and especially outside was outstanding. They tidied up my wiring, replaced items which they didn’t need to have done, and channelled the cabling inside the cavity wall to ensure minimal exposer to the outside. This was impressive as the meter board had a room in between where it was finally due to come out of the wall. I would have no hesitation in recommending Derry as he knows what he is doing and is one of the tidiest tradesmen to ever come into my property. His work is truly outstanding.

I asked Derry to install Tesla wall connector and run electric and data cable from DP to other side of my house garage. He ran underground cable through my neighbour’s backyard and main car park. He is very professional, quality delivery and goes beyond the mile. I wish him all the best to expand his business and will recommend to use his services to all friends and family. Definitely call him back. Many thanks Hardik

Had my Tesla Gen 3 charger fitted by this Tesla approved company. A hassle free and smooth installation, punctual, courteous, tidy and reasonable. At the end Derry went through the verification and linking process with me and supplied all the certificates once he had notified the distribution network and building control. Would definitely recommend!

Shawcan installed a Tesla car charger onto the wall of my house. From my initial call with Derry he took the time to help me think through my options so when it came to the installation I felt confident I had taken the best possible decisions. On the day I asked him exactly how he would be installing the charger and he walked me through it in a very simple no nonsense way. The quality of the job was absolutely superb. I asked him not to have any wires showing and there wasn’t one in sight and the charger was fixed very neatly on the wall. I am very glad I went with Derry and Shawcan and would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to fit an EV charger.

We got our Tesla charger installed with pedestal outside our house. Derry did amazing job. He is very professional and highly recommend his services.

Recommended by Tesla and can understand why. Very professional. Liked the way he tackled the job and the end result was first class. There was no fuss, no drama. He knew exactly what he was doing and delighted with my installation!

Quality work performed to exact requirements. Derry is very meticulous and the end results benefited greatly. Would happily use his business again in the future.

Derry is an extremely knowledgeable professional with what he does. He goes over and beyond to make sure that the job is going to go well. His work is very neat and tidy and leave the place looking spotless. I highly recommend him as a person and his services.

Shawcan installed our electric car charger; they made it simple straightforward and totally painless. When you call, you get straight through to Derry who will be doing the work - no receptionist, no leaving messages that never get answered etc. I got a quote very quickly so I could decide. And then we booked the day. He came on time, did the work, and finished. I spoke to 6 potential providers at the same time. Shawcan was the best, not only in the work itself but also in the experience. If you are looking to do the same, I would strongly recommend that you consider Shawcan.

I had Derry fit an EV charger and generally update my house and garage electrics. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. It seemed like an awkward job to me (and to another electrician I had quote), what with running armoured cable between house and garage, where the shortest route would need to go under concrete and block paving. I thought I might need to get a builder in for part of it, or accept a longer run with cable all around the house, but Derry was completely unfazed by the building work. Block paving came up, went back down, and now if anything it looks better than it did before. Similarly, a channel in the concrete was neatly cut and filled. There were a few little complications he ran into during the work, but he was very good in coming up with options, explaining them and talking them through. Very easy to get on with, and generally just a nice bloke. I've ended up with the whole house and garage safer and without any increase in cost. Yes, really very pleased.

Proper service form a proper company. Derry was nothing but polite, professional and courteous from start to finish. He found the issue with my faulty Tesla charger within minutes. I will be re-booking Shawcan Energy Solutions to install my new charger once it arrives.

I searched to find a good electrician who knows what they are doing with electric car chargers. Trust me there are some cowboys out there from what I could see. Derry’s workmanship is top notch. Attention to detail, explanation, installation neatness and cleaned up better than I could, could not be faulted. Would highly recommend & would definitely use again. Thank you.

Big thank you to Derry, he provided me with a second to none service, very reasonable priced. He supplied the Myenergi Zappi home EV charger, fully integrated with my Solar system for maximum efficiency. He also fixed a problem with my Solar system that I didn't even realise that I had (I had been losing part of generated power since April) Many Thanks

Never trust them or believe them. The other reviews giving 5 stars are simply fake and possibly close friends. He did not greet when he came in. Lacks basic ETIQUETTE, WORST ELECTRICIAN, NEEDS SERIOUS TRAINING. He is unprofessional and simply rude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

Derry and Kelly of Shawcan Energy Solutions are very professional and extremely helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.
