We recently bought our new house and asked Uniheat to come and check that everything was safe with the heating and hot water systems. From the very first visit, their work ethic, communication, and timekeeping were absolutely exceptional. Following the investigative visit, they carried out several important jobs that our previous heating engineers had completely missed — including issues that left our hot water temperature dangerously low and posed a potential legionella risk. This included: • Draining down the heating system and sitting lockshield radiator valves on the existing radiators. Refilling and thoroughly testing the heating system afterwards • Sealing around the boiler flue on the internal wall which another installer had not done. • Servicing the unvented hot water cylinder • Investigating the low pressure and flow to the mixer shower and correctly adjusted the existing pressure reducing valves • Installing a discharge pipe from the existing un-vented water heater to an external location as within the manufacturer’s instructions, which was not completed when it was installed by another contractor. The work to install the discharge pipe required drilling through the floor and outside wall to install new discharge pipework, and everything was done with absolute precision. Tom worked neatly, left everything tidy and properly sealed, and clearly takes great pride in doing the job right. On top of all that, he’s a genuinely lovely, polite person to have in your home. Professional, trustworthy, and highly skilled. We would recommend Uniheat (Oxford) Ltd without hesitation for all your plumbing and heating needs.

They are very expensive and very unreliable, not the ideal characteristics for a plumber. For example, I asked them to come out to fix a tap, very simple job. They called up on the morning of the visit saying they could not come. So I rebooked, on the morning of the rebooked appointment I got an email saying they could not come. I guess they have no regard for people's time and how disruptive it is to do things like that, twice! I have also been waiting a month for them to provide a quote for a new boiler. They have come out to look, I have emailed a few times but they have not provided a quote as yet. They did come out once because we recently moved in and I could not get the heating to turn on. The guy simply turned the thermostat dial on the wall on. I did not realise, Doh! I got an invoice for £185! Seems expensive. So to summarise, from my experience, they are very unreliable and very expensive and I would avoid! UPDATE I received a passive aggressive phone call from them regarding this review. Confirms that they are an unpleasant and unprofessional company.

This company is terrible. Aggressive staff. Charge a fortune and never come bank to service!! The company is not to be trusted. Be aware.
