We had solar panels fitted to our roof a good few years ago. The roof needed replacing (not because of the panels I hasten to add). Our roofers asked Mack Solar to help with the removal & refitting of the panels since they themselves had little experience in that field. Mack Solar were very professional & taught the roofers much along the way. It is reassuring to know that they have been refitted competently & well. We are very pleased with our new solar panels. Mack Solar gave us a better quotation than another company we tried. We liked their relaxed and efficient approach, their construction experience, and the quality fixings for the panels to the roof. With 15 panels the generation capacity was higher than expected. We had these guys in to do a major rennovation and rear/side extention. This was a relatively complex project, with challenging access and a high standard of finish needed. Professional and good communication from the outset. Not the cheapest, but we certainly felt well looked after and involved in the build process. so no regrets on price. The team were respectful and courteous throughout and the inevitable changes to the plan along the way were handled well. Overall, I would certainly recommend Rob and his team.

Honest, straightforward, technically astute not only about solar power but also about mechanical engineering and construction, Mack Solar (part of Mack Construction) are a company that will be around for the long term and will support their work. Robin took us through all options, both those that he outlined and those that we wondered about. (In the end, one of the ones that he had come up with turned out to be the most suitable for us.) There never was any hard-sell. Robin and his team knew how the solar photovoltaic system would interact structurally with the house, because unlike many solar installers they're construction experts. They also back their work with an independently insured (albeit non-transferable on sale of the property) warranty. The work was completed in one Monday, the scaffolding having gone up at the end of the previous week and down the very next day. The only element that I would change, in retrospect, really is a function of the manufacturer Ginlong, and not any issue with Mack Solar: The first wireless data logger installed turned out to be faulty (Robin sent someone round pronto to replace it), and the second never has played nicely with our network and is not well documented or well supported by its Chinese manufacterer- easier, I think, just to read the generation meter.

Mack solar sorted out our Solar Invertor problem when it stopped working. The company who fitted the panels no longer existed, but thanks to the help and advice from Robin at Mack a new Invertor is now installed and running, thank you.

MACK Solar fitted a 14 panel system to my house in 2018. The install only took a day and half and this included moving a soil vent pipe and boiler chimney. The chaps doing the install were friendly and professional. They were not the cheapest quote I had received however I felt more confident that they were quoting for the right work rather than just to get my business as Rob explained several key differences others had not. I'm also far happier to buy local and from an established company as there is a greater peace of mind in regards to any after sales service needed. All in all I would highly recommend MACK Construction and Solar.

MACK Solar fitted our panels in 2015. There workmen were incredibly efficient and the scaffold was up and down within a few days. We have had no problems with the panels since fitting. Rob @ MACK provided us with a spread sheet to record monthly readings against the projected generation for the panels. We have currently generated 107% of predicted and are really very pleased with the savings to our bills as well as the feed in tariff. I send the spreadsheets to Rob who continues to review how different panels perform in different weather conditions. I would completely recommend MACK solar, their advice and guidance, the efficiency in installation as well as the after sales interest in the performance of their product to better advise future customers.

I first used Mack Construction in 2006 for a two story extension to my 250 year old house. My main concern was that the addition needed to blend in perfectly with the original building as the stonework is a main architectural feature of the house. Stone had to be sourced for the build that matched in both colour, size and proportion as did the stone window surrounds which had to be cut and shaped by hand on site to match the originals etc.. Not a straight forward build. I was so impressed with the work done that I have used them on other building and maintenance work to my home including a solar array which they carried out in 2011. It was the first installation they had ever done and it had to be inspected externally for official certification. The inspector commented that it was the best installations he had inspected for quite some time. His comments did not surprise me as experience has told me that Mack do the job right. They aren't the cheapest out there, but in my opinion they are one of the best. Nothing is too much trouble and they explain everything really thoroughly, which helps massively when key decisions have to be made. Total piece of mind.

Our system was installed three years ago by Mack Solar . We were given advice on the best placing for our panels They did a great job with the installation no fuss or mess. All the people who worked on the installation were spot on . We now use the plumber they used for all our plumbing work . Nothing was to much trouble we had help in sorting out the feed in taraff.Were given a chart with yearly predictions on performance so we can monitor performance based on our readings.Not only do we monitor the readings but Mack Solar do the same for us . Up to date we have had every year 120% performance .We would recommend this company in fact we have done so .
