I contacted South Coast Solar on the recommendation of a neighbour, from the initial contact I found them incredibly helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I did not feel pressured in any way act all, if fact they suggested I compare quotations. This instantly put me at ease as I don't enjoy a pressured sales experience! Once I had accepted the quotation, the installation was completed in a couple of weeks, this is a well oiled process with the scaffolding going up a couple of days prior and then coming down a day or 2 after installation. I was very impressed with the 2 chaps that installed the system, they worked so hard but were polite and helpful. It has taken me a while to write the review as I wanted to ensure that the savings promised were in fact correct. I can confirm that the information provided was very accurate and I am currently only paying the standing charge for my electricity, I used to pay approximately £110 this has reduced to approximately £14 pm. Any little issues have been resolved quickly and without any hassle, you always deal with the same small team who respond quickly to queries. From my experience, I would recommend a local family run business such as South Coast Solar. Jeremy & Andrew

South Coast Solar designed, installed and commissioned our solar and battery system. When I was initially researching the team provided a very competitive quote, with a system that matched our requirements. When it came to the install we did have an issue with scaffolding, however I mention this only because I think it's important to say the team went above and beyond to sort it out and make sure the install was successful. The install itself was very fast, very clean and very neat, the team who came were fantastic. We've been completely off grid since system was turned on! Would happily work with the team again
The folks from South Coast Solar Solutions are great, easy to deal with and professional. The install today was efficient and hassle free. The chaps who did the install were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves. The install itself is very tidy. I went up on the roof to inspect it closely and it looks really good. The lead installer took time to explain the system in detail and make sure I was happy. I'd certainly recommend them.
Really pleased. Good communication and explanations from the outside of my enquiry. No pushy hard sell. Just answered my questions so I understand all about solar. All communication about details were clear snd prompt. No horrid call centre. The small family feel kd the company was noticeable. Surveys and install were all very smooth. And now it all works! Very professional, efficient and helpful; good initial consultation with Vince (company had been recommended to us by a friend who used them, so although we got a second company to quote, we were confident in going with S Coast Solar); a bit of back and forth to clarify final configuration and specification (Vince no longer there but hadn't told us he was retiring, which would have been helpful as I'd emailed and messaged him a couple of times, getting no response). However, then spoke to other members of the team (Dean, sharing his experience of the different panel suppliers, and Scott to discuss size of battery we should have), both very straight forward and gave you confidence they knew what they were doing. Install team were good, in particular the electrician, Arthur. Worked his socks off, a long day, but discussed the alternative layouts at the outset and then after install complete, discussed how to use the app. Cleaned up very well. Scaffolding subcontractors, RJ scaffolding from Bristol, were also very good; came when they said they would, two lovely blokes, friendly and professional. So, the only minor negative was they were not great at responding to emails, but when you called the office, they were extremely helpful and actioned any requests (Claire and Monira both lovely). All in all a very good experience; a quality installation, thank you to all of the team.

From the initial enquiry through to the completed installation, the entire process was seamless and professional. The installation of the solar panels, battery, and inverter was carried out to an excellent standard, and all of the necessary documentation was provided promptly and clearly. The customer service throughout was outstanding. The team were knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cared about delivering the best solution rather than just making a sale. They took the time to answer every question, explained everything clearly, and kept us informed at every stage. It’s refreshing to deal with genuine people who take real pride in their work and are committed to providing exceptional customer service. Very good standard of installation, very informative, neat tidy and clean presentation.
My new solar works started today. Matt and Joe kept me informed when to arrive. Started straight away. Took off my old panels which were heavy. Cleaned my roof off as I had birds under looked like new roof. Cleaned my guttering. Then fitted my new panels. Looks amazing how well they worked. Afterwards did another clean up on roof and did first class job clearing up. Better then they found it lol. Nice guys answered any questions I asked. I made sure there were cold drinks for them. Then time to leave. I can't fault them. So good to speak too. Thanks Matt and Joe Arthur who arrived went straight to work on electric side of the job. He ran white trunking to hide cable, can't see it better then my first insulation many years ago. He kept me informed on what he was doing. Made an excellent job in the garage, under the stairs. Cleaned up good. Nice guy to speake too. He helped me set up the App which im not very good at. Did a brilliant job today, great to have good workmen doing such big job in a day. After comparing several solar system companies, we decided to use South Coast Solar Solutions. From the very beginning the whole experience was excellent. Everyone on the team was knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. A special thank you to Steve the salesman, Jo and Matt who fitted the solar panels and Arthur the electrician, who also took the time to show us how to use the app. We would highly recommend South Coast Solar Solutions.

All the team were a pleasure to deal with from the start to the end of the process. I asked numerous questions, probably more than once! and they were helpful and courteous. Their price was competitive and I also wanted a local team rather than a national team as I was looking for a more personable and responsive service. !8 panels are now fixed on our natural slate roof and their work has been very tidy and the panels and battery are working very well. Good communication from the start, I knew exactly when scaffolding was going up and down. The system only took one day to install. The guys on site were respectful, tidy and knowledgeable. An excellent company to deal with, highly recommended.

I recommend the choice of South Coast Solar. The quotation/ consultant provided confidence for best solution. I thought the on-site installers were very good, thorough and knowledgeable, tidied up after. A complete package of site specific technical detail emailed swiftly as did the scafold removal. Certificate for grid export takes some weeks.
From my initial inquiry I found the team at South Coast Solar Solutions a great company to work with. I was given multiple storage options for storage and inverters with pros and cons for each. Whilst we did have a minor issue with the final installation due to a miscommunication between the survey team and the office this was dealt with fairly quickly and I was kept updated by both Sally and Dean directly which is appreciated and the benefit of dealing with a smaller company. I could not fault the install team, the roofers fitting the panels worked nearly and ensured all panels were aligned for aesthetics and bird proofing was neatly installed so that it is barley noticeable. Conor the electrician is highly knowledgeable and ensured that all cable routings were well thought out and run so that they are neat and hidden. He also advised on the best settings to run in the mobile app to ensure optimal usage of solar, battery and low rate tariffs. Although I have dropped one star due to the issue with the survey, I believe this has been dealt with by the company and lessons learnt. I would still recommend to others due to the swift solution and recovery.
Excellent service from seeking a quote, to the process of asking about it and going to agreeing the proposal, through to the admin team organising the scaffolding and installation day and the actual installation which was executed, brilliantly efficiently. Hard to know how the service could have been better. Would highly recommend this local and expert team who give a bespoke and specialist service.

They were professional during th quote .They were attentive and answered all my questions and gave me information I could research with finance options as well. the survey was done within a week of two of accepting the quote and finance set up Wow when it came to the install the scaffolders were amazing and intuitive The day of the install the panel crew were experienced arrived on time and completed within 4 hours. The engineer was wonderfully knowledgeable and talked me through all the details. Such a wonder easy experience from start to finish I highly recommend South coast Solar solutions

We have just had an extremely efficient service with South Coast Solar Solutions. From our first consultation 2 weeks ago, we now have our solar panels in-situ! Amazing service and all staff were extremely professional. The electricians who fitted the panels were delightful and worked really hard all day, taking time to explain everything before they left. Unbeatable price for my inverter and battery storage. Vince helped check my requirements and helped choose the right install for my needs, the quote was very reasonable for the work to be carried out. The timeframe for the work to be done was quick and they worked around my busy life schedule. Job was to add a new inverter and battery storage to existing panels. Tim the installer was top notch, no issues of any kind. You could see his experience really helped make the job effortless. Less than 6 hours to take out the old inverter in the loft, run new cables to the new system mounted outside and finish the job to a high standard. We've had our Solar panels fitted now for three weeks. Installation went well, other than a delay for a few days with the electrics not being connect. Very tidy battery system in our garage giving us ample of electricity storage. We live in a very exposed area by the sea so on an easterly wind we have a tapping noise from the panels. They’ve tried hard to fix it, not successfully though at the moment. I feel confident though that they will find the issue. In all we are really pleased and satisfied with the company and the solar system. Thank you Dean & Claire

Excellent efficient service provided on installing my solar panels. After many rejection's from other company’s, which put doubt in my mind over whether I would be able to have panels erected due to the fact that they would have to be placed on my flat roof. Every company that I contacted refused to even consider installing them. However along came South Coast Solar Solutions and agreed to go ahead. The time scale was very quick and was undertaken by a friendly group of your staff. All completed in less than a week from making first contact with you, and installed in half a day. South Coast Solar Teem were all polite and Excellent on site, I am finding it difficult to see what financial benefit I am having day to day, but I do appreciate that it has rained and been very cloudy since instalation.

They responded well and turned up exactly as they promised. The quote was sensible and once I accepted it they carried out the install again when promised. Their engineer was very good and he explained how to use the inverter and left the side clean and tidy. Excellent service all round at a sensible price .

I contacted South Coast Solar Solutions with a view to getting solar and battery. I had a very helpful discussion with Niall who went through all the options in a very clear and understandable way and also pointed out important info that other companies had not mentioned to me. Although I didn’t place an order I would have confidence in this company based on my experience so far. I have given 4/5 as I can’t vouch for their product delivery but experience so far was very good.
The South Coast Solar Solutions Team were all amazing and incredibly helpful. From the get-go Niall was helpful and able to answer any questions I had while deciding what system would work best for us. When Dean came to do the survey again, he was very helpful with any other questions I had and helping me understand how the setup will go and where best for the equipment to be placed. During the survey we also were able to add more panels onto the quote because of available space. The day of the installation went smoothly, even in the rain the team pushed through and did an amazing job on the installation. Connor was very friendly and great at going through how the system works and in helping me get all set up on the app. Shaun and Jake were also very friendly and did a great job with installing the panels even in the pouring rain. What a breath of fresh air. Niall the sales person contacted me to discuss what I may need on my small semi. Niall was upfront and told me that my roof was not big enough for solar panels. He recommended a battery to store power. However, once we had worked out my annual usage of electricity Niall told me it was not worth my while as the savings would be minimal on the expenditure. It is very refreshing to meet a company where they are upfront and honest about YOUR needs. I would wholly recommend this company on this alone. Also put my mind at rest that I do not need to go down either solar or battery route and just keep my eye on my personal usage and save the planet that way. Thank you Niall for your patience and honesty.

We had an excellent experience using this company from start to finish. They were able to adapt to my changing needs and they fitted the solar panels and Tesla battery in less than two days. Everything ran to schedule. I have had the system just over a month and it all works as expected. Even in these winter months there is enough light to generate power. I would highly recommend them and the whole team are easy to work with.

I was initially curious about whether Solar Panels would be suitable for our 3 bed semi with an East/West facing roof and made an enquiry by responding to a facebook ad. South Coast Solar Solutions responded by calling me to set up an online video call to discuss my requirements and explain the Solar Panel options available. Niall was the salesperson and the video call was relaxed and very informative. I could have ordered a minimal 6 panel system but as the installation costs represent a significant part of the cost I decided to do a max panel install with 9 on the east facing roof and 8 on the west facing roof providing good all day power generation coverage. I changed the order on the day of installation to add a battery to provide better use of my excess power generation to cover winter evenings! The company were very flexible and installed the panels but came back two days later to complete the inverter and battery and commission the system. I found South Coast Solar Solutions to be an excellent choice for my system! They are a smaller family run business who are a joy to work with. Warm, friendly, and professional. The installation team did a great job and knew their stuff.

Everything well explained and arrived exactly when and as promised (unlike the scaffolders!). If you know what you want they'll quote for it competitively ... if not then watch a few Youtube videos first to work it all out first! Clean & tidy and fast installation. Ask a tricky question and they didn't flannel... reply was "I don't know ... I'll find out".
Customer satisfaction comes across as paramount to Dean and his team. His workforce were professional, hard working and reliable. The end result was everything we had been promised and had hoped for.

It took some time considering the options available to install solar panels and battery storage. There are so many companies to choose between. The decision to go with South Coast Solar was based on being local, independent and being able to talk to people who actually install a system and not just sell it. All the people at South Coast Solar are friendly, informative, knowledgeable and provide reassurance that the job will be done well with all the necessary certification and Home Insurance Protection. The install was quick to organise and went well with everyone working efficiently. The product offering and whole experience was excellent. I have a great system and can see the benefit daily so no regrets at the investment to my home. Highly recommended 👌
From first point of contact through to the installation day, everyone I've spoken to has been really helpful and informative. I initially put my details into several solar search engines and was horrified about the number and persistence of people calling me. Jason from South Coast Solar emailed me my quote and basically said when you want to talk give me a call. Much preferred this approach! The quote was very reasonable and for better quality products than the one size fits all approach shown by the bigger companies, and it's on my roof a week later!!! For comparison, one of the big installers told me they'd be able to get it on the roof in October. It's all been installed today in a clean and tidy manner, with no mess left behind for me to worry about. Scaffolding is being removed Saturday (again you hear horror stories of people leaving scaffolding up for months as it's free storage). Everything has been explained and I'm already glued to my app looking at how much energy I'm producing. Hopefully I calm down with this 😅. Save yourself aggressive marketing, rude (and often clueless) sales people, and give these folks a call. Thank you all :)
