Have used Space Heating for several years, and they are a reliable and trustworthy company. We recently had Darren call to fix our heating system, which had stopped working. Darren was on time, super polite and highly professional. He replaced a rusty, worn-out radiator and an H-shaped segment of copper piping and got the heating system working for the first time on firing up the boiler. In fact, I can’t recall the heating ever working so well… Darren did a first-class job!

They are reliable and fantastic, they are not a company to reap you off, they give you a range of what your cost will come to and then they go ahead to fix your job and send you an invoice. They are more satisfied with having your issues resolved than they are with cost. Infact the first time I contacted them, they resolved my issue via video call at no cost and followed up to ensure it was working perfectly. I recommend them over and over again. They are a 10/10, no caps. I am not even one to post such a long review, but I know they deserve this and more. 👍👍👍

Came down this morning to water leaking into the bedroom from the loft bathroom, rang these guys at 6.30am, within 90 minutes the problem had been resolved (faulty valve in the toilet) amazing service, friendly & knowledgeable, very courteous, would definitely recommend & use again.

I was introduced to Space Heating (James) when the flat above mine had a leak and it was coming through the ceiling. James was brilliant sorted the leak above (for me that was essential as I had a big footy game to go watch) He checked my system and advised on some potential issues I had/may experience. He provided me with a quote and I saw the work he had done upstairs. We agreed a date and a lovely young man (Leo) came to do the Job. Being a lady on my own, it was especially nice that not only did he do a great job, but he was very curtious, explained everything, left the place tidy spotless, and took all the rubbish away. The system is working well with no issues. I am delighted with the whole experience- from the 1st visit, the office calls to the work undertaken. It's never easy to know who to chose, but I went on recommendation and I would certainly be happy to pass that recommendation on.

I’m really disappointed with my first experience. I booked a quotation for a large project with one of the Directors (David). The appointment was later moved to a different time slot, which was fine. However, on the day, the entire window passed with no visit and no communication. I’d kept two hours free specifically for this, only to end up calling the office myself and being told he was running late. For a company this big, a simple call or text should be the absolute minimum, I'd expect this from a one man band. Wasting a customer’s time like this doesn’t inspire confidence, and unfortunately they won’t be getting my business. It’s a shame, as the other reviews looked promising, but my experience was far from it.

Saved our New Year's Eve! We returned home from a day out to find water leaking through our ceiling. Luckily, James and the team had a professional at the door within half an hour who fixed the problem honestly and efficiently. Thanks again guys and Happy New Year.

We had a toilet that kept backing up as it had a stubborn block. We called another company who turned up same day and tried to say it was a £600 repair, we of course told them where to go. We were recommended Space and we can see why. They were friendly on the phone, booked me in for the week, but unexpectedly became available on the day I called. Leo attended and was polite and knowledgeable, fixed the problem within the hour and charged a fraction of the previous quote. I'll contact Space next time I have a plumbing issue. Thanks!

James and his team worked incredibly hard on a complex project involving a double-bathroom installation and a completely new water system. This included a new boiler, a new water connection, new ensuite and family bathrooms, replacing every single radiator in the house, and even moving interior walls. The team clearly cared about the quality of their work, and their proactive problem-solving and attention to detail were a refreshing change. I would highly recommend them.

Great service today from James Maggs, he attended to mend a broken toilet, then listened when I said about concerns with my hot water system. He was able to quickly resolve the issue which turned out to be an ongoing error on my part. His actions and advice should lead to a very drastic reduction in my electricity bill and I cannot be more pleased!

James, Leo and Luke replaced our central heating system and did an absolutely fantastic job. They worked extremely hard and were great to have around. Well done Space to train and employ such talented young men.

I have used Space Heating in the past for tap replacements and a previous radiator removal. So I had no hesitation in placing our current work request with them. Luke removed a radiator and capped the pipes below the floorboards. All work was conducted in a clean manner, taking care with carpets and furnishings. Luke ensured no air locks remained in the heating system and that radiators were functioning correctly. Excellent work with attention to detail. Thank you.

If I could give 6 Stars I would. James (owner) recently stripped out the old boiler and pipework and installed new - Fantastic job, which will hopefully sort out the small issues we have been having over the years. The other James, installed a Aquabion water softener filter, sorted out a tap issue and figured out why there was little hot water servicing the up stairs bathroom; all with a smile and a very polite attitude. All jobs were conducted in a clean and safe manner. I could not recommend them highly enough.

From the frantic phone call to Space Heating after finding a leak in our airing cupboard to James leaving, we have been extremely well looked after by Space Heating and especially James. The possible problem was identified through photos and a short notice visit was set up. James arrived early and did a great job. He explained what he had done very well and the only trace left of his work was the new working pump, which solved the leak. I would highly recommend Space Heating to anyone with heating problems.

Space Heating were recommended to me by Viessmann a few years back - it has been a wise choice, for these boilers it pays to have a specialist with access to the manufacturer’s resources for installation and regular maintenance. Having recently changed out my radiators for me, they solved the initial teething problems and I am happy with the results. I would recommend James and his team without hesitation.

After receiving very poor service and workmanship from other plumbing companies, I called Space Heating. They sent Harry to do the job. On seeing the issues he was able to quickly identify what needed doing and got the job done. He further assisted with installing an inlet valve to the cistern and replaced a number of iso valves that were leaking with quality ones I had bought. While doing the flush tests, a blockage magically appeared in the main waste pipe believed to have been created by previous plumbers. Once again, Harry worked quick enough resolve the blockage. Thank you Space Heating Ltd for coming to our rescue after a bathroom renovation left us with a shower floor that didn't drain the water away and left us paddling after a shower. Jonny was brilliant and solved it for us with a new properly laid floor that works! He was very tidy and careful not to damage the other tiles on the wall despite being unsure in the beginning if that could be managed. He discussed every step with us and we are very pleased with the end result.

Earlier this week the stopcock in the water tank in my loft suddenly died and water started overflowing and pouring through the ceiling into several parts of the house. It was awful. My regular plumber was ill and he suggested I try Space Heating Ltd. They were really helpful; sent a plumber over within two hours of my call, who was very professional and efficient; went to get required parts, and fixed the problem. All we have to do now is let the house dry out! This was my first experience with this company but I give them 10/10 from the moment I called. Their pricing is also in the sensible range.

First time using Space and they are brilliant. Chris carried out the work on our boiler and he was incredible, successfully identifying the problem with our 8 year old boiler immediately. Despite the boiler being serviced annually no one else had managed to identify the issue. Chris completely stripped down the boiler, and cleaned the complete condenser system. 2 hours later we had a boiler that was finally doing what it should do. Silent running, powerful and above all not cutting out at regular intervals. Highly recommended, by far the best I've ever used ...and to boot the receptionist who took my initial phone call (Fouzia) was excellent as well, asking all the right questions. After a fault developed in our 20 year old boiler (spotted by a Space Heating engineer when doing another job) we obtained quotes for a new system from Space Heating and another well-known national company. Space Heating took a lot more trouble to understand our requirements and came up with a much superior proposal. The result was a beautifully engineered installation. As a company they have an excellent vibe, and their engineers are skilled, committed, friendly and enthusiastic. They are also notably quick in responding to queries. I would very highly recommend them.

I can’t praise these people enough. Their wonderful office staff Lisa and Phoebe gave us good honest advice from the start. Dave and his team did a fantastic job installing our new boiler in just a day, and were really friendly, courteous and helpful. They were really professional engineers and knew what they were doing, and they even customised the boiler’s performance to our house and connected it to our smart thermostat. Dave even gave us good advice on how to save money through more efficient heating practices. Left everything neat and tidy and in perfect condition. Very straightforward quote and payment process, and a responsive and friendly office team. I’ll be using their services in future and recommending them!

I contacted David of Space Heating last OCT to get his help with the heating system in our house, after the boiler packed in again. We had recurring problems with it during the previous 7 years after it was installed in our house when we significantly extended and expanded our house in 2014. It was a semi commercial boiler and our heating system was a combination of gas and electricity and quite complicated as the house is over 5000 sqft on 3 floors with a combination of UFH and radiators. David was shown the significant amount of correspondence which had accumulated over the years due to a succession of problems - from the boiler manufacturers/ gas suppliers / Cadent and heating engineers. David quickly recognised we needed a comprehensive solution and not just a new boiler. David provided us with a comprehensive proposal within the agreed time frame which covered improved external gas supply to the house; a new boiler; replacement of existing internal parts/ pumps and thorough service of exiting Under Floor Heating and radiators. The two members of his team who did most of the work over a one week period were Luke and Harry who were very professional, diligent, polite and helpful. The after care service has been excellent in terms of responsiveness as David has taken personal responsibility for our project and always replies quickly and fully to any emails; text messages and phone calls. One of the other really strong points about Space Heating is that it’s not a one man show and all of the team members are very strong technically and nice people ( including the office staff who provide excellent admin and customer service). Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend David and his team at Space Heating to prospective customers who need heating engineering services for residential housing - especially for bespoke / complex systems such as ours - a definite 5 star service.

Space heating have got us out of many fixes! Most recently came out on Saturday night and fixed the shower I had “tried” to repair myself. They were swift efficient and had sorted out my mess within 30 minutes! Really nice engineers and always do a great job

When I rang Space heating to get a quote I was requested to send photos of the taps I needed replacing, which I did. Received an email with a quote and a phone call stating someone would ring me. No call sent another email and received a phone call stating an engineer would ring me, still waiting for a call. If the job was too small I would have expected a call to say so.

A family run firm, they are thorough, conscientious, friendly, and they don't take liberties with their charges. I am very happy to recommend them.

First class heating engineering firm Space Heating on Friday completed the installation of a Viessmann Vitodens 200W system boiler, unvented water storage cylinder, Harvey water softener, Magnaclean and associated pipework converting our DHW & heating from a 20 year old Combi. Luke and Harry the installers worked solidly five days to finish the task, no mean feat. The result is an excellent modern fully functioning hot water system providing constant hot water with great pressure for showering and an efficient, weather compensating central heating system. Luke & Harry would arrive each day 8 to 8:15 and finish around 6, tidying up before they left and on Friday the last day they were here till 7pm, after completing the work and providing us with a thorough run through of the system, its workings, capabilities and how to operate it. They were conscientious, courteous, two thoroughly nice young men who were a pleasure to deal with and have in our house. The quality of their work is excellent, the pipework runs look like an art form and Luke’s technical knowledge of the Viessmann boiler shown to us during the handover was first rate. Can’t thank Luke & Harry enough for their hard graft in completing such a big task with such good grace. We would wholeheartedly recommend Space Heating if you’re thinking of changing or updating your heating & hot water system.

I own a rental property locally and for many years have used Space for safety checks, servicing and maintenance. They have always been reliable – turned up on time, carried out the work efficiently, left the place clean and tidy, and made sensible recommendations about what is and isn’t necessary. A couple of weeks ago at 8pm on a Saturday night I received a panicked phone call from my 80 year old dad whose boiler had suddenly stopped working – leaving him with no heating or hot water. He has a British Gas homecare plan, but after over an hour of trying to get through to them I finally established that they were unable to send an engineer for six weeks! I contacted Space, who were with Dad within the hour, and had the boiler up and running again shortly afterwards. I honestly can’t fault the Space team in any way whatsoever.

Very quick with responding to my repair. Engineer Glen came out yesterday to fix the issue and straight away he new what the problem was. The valve needed changing which was causing my heating not warming up as usual. Glen ordered the part straight away and this morning Lisa from Spaceheat called me at 9am on the dot to arrange an appointment for the valve to be fitted. Glen came out and fixed my heating. I would like to say such a friendly, helpful and professional Engineer he is. Spaceheat have been amazing I called them yesterday to say that I have an appointment at the doctors and the school run, so helpful and arranged for Glen to be there at the time it was convenient for me. I would like to say Glen is defo a credit to Spaceheat.

Absolute joke of a company! Called them out as boiler was not working and came back to me to say the only option is a new boiler and there is absolutely no point in getting a second opinion as their engineer has been dealing with this particular brand of boiler for 10 years. Lady on the phone was rude and abrupt, shutting me down and not even willing to entertain a conversation/other options - like she was trying to force me into an expensive boiler replacement since it was just before Christmas. I called British Gas out who replaced a part and repaired the boiler with minimal fuss. Would give 0 stars if I could, avoid like the plague!

A cold tap was making a loud knocking noise every time the washing machine shut off the cold supply. Very annoying. Bradley quickly diagnosed the fault and had it repaired in an hour at reasonable cost. I would highly recommend this company for plumbing work.

If you decide to use Space heating Ltd be prepared for a very long wait . You are bound to wait for the person to come out , another long wait for a quote , a few more months wait for a boiler installation. And afterwards they point out that they do not have any responsibility for leaks I had after Installation . And the magnet couldn't be installed due to no space. They kindly took it out of the bill. I really hope it is a good boiler and I won't have problems with it for few years. I will come back on it
