After friends had solar panels installed by Solarfix, and were very satisfied with the process, we followed their recommendations and called for a free quote. We had a visit from Sam who went through everything in detail and paid the deposit the next day. Our installation day arrived as did THE best team of guys. As they say in Northern Ireland, the craic was mighty, the mysic was loud and the sun shone. The guys were efficient, professional and tidy. They were done by 2.30, not a scrap of rubbish was left behind. Fast forward 4 weeks and everything is doing what it should be. Ive just had a visit from Matthew who assured me everything is working just fine, he has promised to set up my app remotely and advised if I need any help to contact him directly. Couldn't ask for better reassurance that that. The team that did the installation, Sam and Matthew, and the staff who aren't on the ground are a credit to the company. Id like to thank them all for all they've done before, during and after our installation.

Easy process from start to finish. Spoke to someone in the office who gave me a brief on what I could do to cut down my bills. They booked Roy to call out and see me and chat about where everything would go. Easy process. Got a call a few days after and install booked. Polite workers, very tidy and great with the dog! Was up and running in a day and already saving. Roy called back to run me through how everything worked. Very professional company, great savings!

I had solar panels installed by Solarfix NI in 2022 and overall it was a really excellent service- there was good communication, installation was straightforward and it was easy to in touch. Since 2022 we had a couple of very minor issues over the years that were dealt with quickly and over the phone. We had also purchased an Eddi and for the last 3 summers we had hot water whenever the weather allowed. This summer we had issues with the app and we have had absolutely no hot water despite no significant change in our consumption. We reached out about 5 weeks ago and it took a while for the email to get the correct email. We made a couple of phone calls and managed to sort the app issue. The company was on holiday for a while so after we made further contact to get help around why there was no hot water this year, especially as the weather appeared more favourable than previously. We had communicated that we weren’t really getting the progress with YouTube videos and emails. We asked on a number of occasions if we could get someone to come and have a look but this was declined. Communication has always been professional on both ends and I want to highlight that but we are in a situation where we are almost regretting going for solar panels at all as spending hours doing self maintenance wasn’t really what we anticipated inspite of the many benefits. One thing that was said a couple of times was that we could sort when working from home. We don’t work from home and we had taken annual leave to try and get things sorted and our working day extends beyond the opening hours so tricky to squeeze in. We have contacted a number of other companies to try and get some help with the issue as a bit lost as to what next to do. We’re not really in to panning companies and did have a really good experience but up until this point. I suppose we had an understanding long-term we could help as needed and don’t feel that has quite happened. Reviewing for a heads up for those considering exploring an installation to consider long-term maintenance.

Solarfix NI are an excellent installer. I originally reached out to Alannah and as a result Darren visited the house for inspection. From there I had Matthew and Jonathan to do the install - all great folks with impeccable workmanship. Special thanks to Bernard also!!!! Do not delay - electricity prices are only going one way - the sooner you buy the sooner you start to save. I am now wholly 'off-grid' for 7-8 months of the year and even with a thirsty electric car. I can wholeheartedly recommend Solarfix NI as an installer. I originally reached out to get quotes. I had originally talked with Alannah who was able to answer every question I threw at her, and she was able to recommend a system and help plan the initial quote. From there I had Matthew out for a site visit to help further refine the quote and install. During this, Matthew was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and just friendly throughout. He was also able to answer my questions, put forward his own suggestions and guide me through the entire process. Following the introduction of the G99/NI Fast Track process, I reached out to Matthew again to ask about larger inverters through that simpler process along with a couple of other add-ons. He was more than happy to make adjustments to the quote to cover this. On install day the team of installers arrived promptly at around 8:30 in the morning, worked through the day causing minimal disruption and got the system installed and commissioned to a very high standard. Since install I have been 99% off grid ever since. I would thoroughly recommend Solarfix NI and Matthew, their professionalism, knowledge, ability and willingness to adapt and change has been incredible.

Short version: I do NOT recommend Solarfix. Their premium price is not reflected in their service, there is a clear disconnect between their survey and installation teams, they damaged property without reporting it, and their post-sales communication is non-existent. Longer version: I chose Solarfix despite higher quotes because I was impressed by the initial survey. Unfortunately, the execution was highly unprofessional and I have been completely "ghosted" regarding outstanding issues. Survey vs. Installation: The installers arrived completely unprepared for the site details. They lacked protection for my sandstone patio, disputed the survey-approved battery location in my garage, and rejected the hot press location chosen during the survey for the Eddi Diverter, instead mounting it in an awkward, ground-level spot in my garage. They were also unaware my roofspace was floored. Property Damage & Negligence: While working in the garage roofspace, installers smashed a fluorescent light tube, scattering glass fragments. They walked these dangerous shards onto my upstairs landing and bedroom doorway, where luckily I spotted them before any injury was done. When reported to Solarfix they promised a £20 Amazon voucher for a replacement tube, which never materialised. They also left the lights in my main roofspace light switched on continuously for two weeks, before I discovered them. Safety & Commissioning Failures: Post-installation, my hot water began automatically heating to dangerously scalding temperatures. Additionally, I was left with no clear way to get hot water on demand using my old kitchen switch. During handover, the representative couldn’t sort it and told me 'the tech guys' would contact me. They never did. App Inaccessibility: A sales representative actively discouraged me from using the official MyEnergi app to control the Eddi remotely. This left me physically crawling on the garage floor to access the manual Boost function on the poorly placed unit. She also told me it wasn't Solarfix's responsibility to adjust my immersion thermostat to prevent water overheating to scalding levels. Ghosting: I sent a detailed email outlining these final two issues: requesting that they properly connect the Eddi to my network/app and check the immersion thermostat safety cut-off. I received zero response, though accounts promptly emailed requesting the final balance. I eventually wrote a formal letter of complaint directly to the Managing Director; three weeks and a follow-up email later, I have still been ignored. If you’ve read this far, well done. I assume that you must be at least considering SolarFix for your solar energy needs. My advice would be to go elsewhere.

Have had my solar panels and battery set up installed for a month now and haven’t used a single watt of electricity from the grid since. In fact, I’ve exported over 250kW back to the grid. The team at Solarfix were great from the very start of the process and despite a small blip with the install which was rectified quickly, everything went smoothly. The team were very professional and the workmanship was excellent. Would highly recommend them.

We recently used Solarfix NI Ltd for a domestic solar installation and I’d happily recommend them. The quality of the work was excellent, communication was clear throughout, and the advice they gave around expected savings, payback, battery, inverter, and app setup was really helpful. The quote was transparent with no surprises, and the team were very tidy and respectful around the house. The install took a day and a bit, slightly longer than originally expected, but the reason was well explained and handled professionally. There was also a small issue near the end where a piece of property was accidentally damaged. These things can happen, but Solarfix NI put real effort into making it right, which says a lot about the company. Great workmanship, honest advice, and a team that stands over their work.

Met Sam at an Eikon home show and arranged a survey at our house. Came and explained how the whole system would work. Gave a good price and arranged the installation. The whole process was very organised and stress free. 16 panels, inverter, batteries and a car charger installed with all the necessary paperwork completed. Monthly electric bill reduced from £140 a month to £40 and that doesn't include £30 from export. Very pleased with the whole process.

Exceptional! Called and got a visit from Sam, very helpfully described all the features so went for their most comprehensive package. Electricity bill has dropped from £450 a qtr to £25 plus I’m heating my hot water for free and selling back to the grid so in effect I’ve no bill at all. Equipment is first class and installation was a perfect. *****

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. From the moment Matt arrived for the initial consultation, I knew I had chosen a professional and competent company. He took the time to thoroughly go through all of my options, explaining everything clearly and giving me the confidence that I was making the right decision in choosing SolarFix as my solar supplier and installer. Fast forward to installation day, and once again the team demonstrated how professional SolarFix are. The power was only off for about 20 minutes while they carried out the changeover, and now my home is running almost entirely on solar energy. The installation itself is incredibly neat and tidy—both the roof work and the inverter/battery setup look exactly as I had hoped. What really stood out was the attention to detail. The team cleaned up all packaging and debris before leaving, which I really appreciated. Today, I’ve even reached back out to Matt to discuss adding a changeover power switch, as my area can sometimes experience outages. I already have a meeting scheduled with him next week to look at the options moving forward. I genuinely couldn’t fault the entire team throughout this process. I’d happily recommend Solarfix NI following installation of 14 x solar panels, 2 x 5KW batteries and inverter at our home. They tailored the install to our roof, given it is not of a standard design. All work was carried out to a high standard by their in-house team (I consider having an in-house team to be a big selling point), with no disruption. Excellent support was provided, from initial discussions on a potential system through to post-installation. Great job all round.

We had been thinking about solar energy for several years and had looked at a few companies and their reviews. I have to say Solarfix made the decision so easy for us in the end. From my very first call with Alana, I knew I was in good hands. She was professional and courteous, and as a complete novice about solar energy, her patience and knowledge in answering my many questions is what truly swung the sale for me. Roy then visited our home and walked me through everything in detail, patiently answering all my questions and putting any remaining doubts to rest. On installation day, the workmen arrived promptly at 8:30. The teamwork was impressive — efficient, expert, and clearly well-coordinated. The weather was against them, but they never stopped working. The installation of the batteries is out of view from any entry points which for me is a plus. I had priced the job with three other companies and the difference was night and day. The others were far less informative and couldn’t be bothered to follow up. One even insisted my husband be present before they would proceed — as if I wasn’t capable of making the decision myself! That same company also asked my age to decide whether it was worth my while spending the money. Solarfix treated me with respect from start to finish and truly earned my business. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

Solarfix fitted my three phase system with Zappi charger 3 years ago. I’ve made substantial savings. Extremely happy with the system and the service from Solarfix. Sam really goes the extra mile and is currently exploring the best possible price for me to add a three phase battery to our system which would bring us a substantial step closer to being off grid.

Solarfix NI recently completed the installation of 16 solar panels and Duracell batteries at my home. The entire process was seamless from the initial survey and consultation with Darren, through the installation and subsequent follow-up. The installation itself, fitting the solar panels and wiring, with Matthew, Jonathan and Nicholas was excellent - fast, tidy and professional. The follow-up with Darren was a great opportunity to get a further explanation of the system and be shown how to simply configure the system. We visited the "Love Your Home" show in March 2025. A gentleman called Michael from Solarfix was giving a talk about solar energy in Northern Ireland. We listened with interest as it was something we had discussed doing recently. The information was clearly explained and thankfully without any "sales push". Much to our surprise he explained that it was not always necessary to place the panels on the south-facing roof of a building. Following his talk we spoke with Michael and he suggested contacting the office via email to set up a free visit from Solarfix. A week later a gentleman called SAM came to visit us at home. We had a list of questions which he answered in detail and this gave us reassurance that Solarfix would be an excellent choice for our Solar adventure! We had 12 panels installed on our garage roof - 6 on each side, plus 2 Duracell Batteries and a Solis Invertor inside the garage. An EDDI was connected beside our electric meter inside the house. All this working was carried out by the Solarfix team in a timely and extremely tidy manner. The Spark - Lorcan Duggan -deserves special praise as his job required a lot of climbing through small cupboards to place the wiring where it is completely obscure. Our installation was finished in 2 days and we were up and running. Sam and the office staff in Solarfix kept in touch both via email and phone calls to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. A month after the installation Sam returned to ensure everything was working correctly plus to guide us through the SolisCloud app. We now have our solar panels 6 months and we are so happy with our decision to install them. In the summer months we didn't use any electricity from the grid plus we had hot water every day. From my first phone call to the on-site survey with Darren, right through to the installation team and the regular updates from Ross — these guys were bang on. The installation went exactly to plan, and Darren’s follow-up visit was excellent. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood how the system worked. One week on from having panels installed and can already see the benefits. SolarFix did a fantastic job. From our first enquiry, to an in depth visit to house during which Darren explained the process and addressed points which other companies had not explored. He also explained that there is no point in maximising the panels without having adequate battery storage. This in depth visit and explanations gave us confidence that this was the right firm. Also had a recommendation from a work colleague. We got a 6.1KW system consisting of 14 panels with bird proofing, inverter, 5KW battery storage and Eddi water heater. The install team of Matthew and others (forgot your names) did a fantastic job. They checked first thing were everything was going and suggested a couple of alternatives which made sense. The guys were very approachable and worked great. They arrived about 8:30am and were finished about 2:30pm. Very tidy workers. The system was live from the finished install. I received a courtesy call the next day to ensure all was ok. Darren returned to complete the App and ensure all was working. He explain the full system and answered any queries I had. Whilst I got this installed in October and the weather has been very overcast and gloomy we still received PV Solar power thus giving us a saving. I’ve had the system a week and today was the first day with any significant sunshine - the system worked great and I’m looking forward to the rewards!! The whole process was well explained and the SolarFix team organised building control, NIE export and the install and commissioning of the whole system; and all the staff I’ve dealt with including the office staff have been great. I do not suspect we will have any issues but I am confident that SolarFix would deal with them promptly. I would definitely recommend SolarFix!!

I can’t recommend the entire SolarFIX team enough!! We contacted the office and we got an appointment that suited us for Darren to call out. His knowledge of the system was excellent and the advice on what system suited our needs was top class. Also, not once did we feel under any pressure to buy the system. When the fitting team arrived they were very knowledgeable and professional and their workmanship is to a very high standard. Darren called back and explained the working of the system and also set the app up for us. A very professional company with competitive prices. 2 MONTHS ON FROM INSTALLATION I had to contact Solarfix as I had made a mistake setting up my batteries to be charged at night. They were so helpful, they talked me through the fix and sent me a link to a video of how to carry out the procedure correctly. I was also advised if I wasn’t comfortable setting up the night charging they would send an engineer out. Excellent after sales service.

I started researching solar installers back in 2016/2017 and was immediately impressed by Solarfix, the only company in Northern Ireland offering estimated pricing directly on their website. In 2017, I became a customer, and they successfully installed a 4 kW solar panel system just before the end of the RHI scheme. True to their word, they completed the installation on time, allowing me to benefit from a quick return on investment. A few years later, I experienced a bird nesting issue, and as a loyal customer, Solarfix quickly installed protective measures for my panels, ensuring everything was in order. This year, I upgraded to a 5 kWh battery storage system from Solarfix. I waited for prices to become more affordable, and the recent 0% VAT on battery upgrades made it an even better investment. The impact was immediate — I saw a £40 reduction in my electricity bill, and with the phone app, I could track that the household had drained the battery before 8 p.m. After reaching out to Solarfix for an additional 5 kWh battery, I’ve been able to go completely off-grid during the summer months. In winter, I can schedule the battery to charge during Economy 7 (Day/Night tariff) hours, saving money on daytime electricity costs when solar power isn’t enough. Now, with a total of 15 kWh across three batteries, I rarely use grid electricity, especially during the day, and am only using cheaper night-time rates (~14p per kWh in 2025). On most days, I’m running entirely off my solar power and stored energy. The Solarfix team has always been friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable, answering all my questions promptly. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar installation for their home.

Solarfix impressed us from start to finish. Winners for us were that they answered every question we could possibly throw at them and were friendly, patient and knowledgeable throughout. This includes everyone from the sales team at the start of the process, the install team on the day (complete professionals!) and the after care team have been fantastic. Solarfix's in person handover made sure everything was sorted for me completely without me having to stress about it myself - they did the NIE paperwork, the export process, building control, built the app, sent me out videos and tips about the system and months later they are still happily answering any and all questions we have. I know they might be a bit more expensive than other firms we got quotes from but you get what you pay for and the support from the whole team from start to finish (especially the aftercare) is absolutely worth it. Couldn't recommend Solarfix enough!

One of the best customer experiences in a long while! Great website to begin with allowing you to get a good handle on what level of Solar etc you might need, the options, and an estimate. Once ordered, after a detailed and courteous visit from Darren, installation was only about 5 weeks later. On the day, the team where there before 8am and away by 3pm. The panels are great, we also went for one 5kw battery. Honestly, the whole organisation is so joined up and they are not only efficient and reliable, but very down to earth and pleasant to deal with!

Excellent service and support throughout the process from Darren, Chelsea, Anna, the roofers and Matt, the spark, and others. We also had support when we had to link the system to a new Wi-Fi address when our broadband changed. We had great advice from Darren who said he welcomed working out a solution for our unusual roof! The battery is great at reducing use of the grid and the Zappi charger has kept our new EV on the road. Would recommend Solarfix to anyone.

Great installation by the team. Went very smoothly and was surprisingly quick. Love the App that tells you how much is being generated and how much you’re using. Definitely need the batteries in Ireland due to the weather but even when it is raining it is generating. The team also sorted out all the legal bits so minimal effort required. Will be recommending Solarfix to friends and family.

Solarfix installed a 12 panel, twin battery solution for me, installation involved scaffolding which caused a delay but the whole system has been up and running for a couple of weeks now and I am already seeing savings.

Fantastic experience from initial engagements.. unlike other solar companies Darren took the time during the home survey and worked out the best system for us rather then throwing a good price at us to get the sale.. Install day - what a slick operation on the day of install, very professional group of lads and very efficient couldn’t believe it was all complete in 1 day. Handover- 7 days after Darren came out, he installed the app for us monitor the PV system.He carried out all his quality checks along with going through the paperwork required for building control. Advised us on the export registration that’s required and to explore tariffs for winter battery charging. We are confident we made the right decision to go with solar and choosing Solar Fix to carry this out for us , couldn’t fault a thing!! Thanks for everything

From start to finish the whole process is explained very clearly. Darren called out, took an hour to go through how we would benefit. Did not try a hard sell, the product sells itself. Thursday 15 May we had our panels installed. One week later and we have used £0.23 from our power N.I account. The install team are very professional, were here at 8 30am, all done by 1pm and no mess. Darren calls out week after and sets up app, checks all working. Super job. Our only regret.....should have done it years ago.

Had the panels installed the day before storm Eyown and glad to say they're still there. Waited a while before posting this review and I can honestly say it's been money we'll invested. With the NIE keypad meter also installed you can see exactly how much you've spent on electricity over the past 12 months. Even with a poor February i saved 54% and 88% in March compared to the previous year. Every rep from Solarfix were great. From John the roofer to both sparks who had the system installed and up and running before they left that day. Many thanks to Darren who called out,( even when he was ill). And a special thanks to Chelsea for all her great advice. Should i ever move house I'll definitely be using Solarfix on my next property if there's no panels fitted. Thanks for everything.

Absolutely first class service. I've been in business 45 years and this is one of the best suppliers I've ever experienced. Sam came out on time and talked me through the details. He was pleasant, rattled out the data and examples off the top of his head and so, without further ado, I ordered on the spot. I paid the deposit at their office which is a very slick operation. It was delivered and installed exactly as and when promised by a very friendly, mannerly, tidy and professional team. They arrived at 8:30 am and left around 3:00pm, one man installing the panels on the roof and 2 electricians downstairs. Sam arrived afterwards to configure the App and show me how to monitor the system. It was all very simple and less hassle than I anticipated. SolarFix's admin people handled all the paperwork. Everything seemed to just flow without fuss. Basically I paid, sat back and they installed and that was it. Although the weather was poor for the following few days the system did generate a little during that period, which was encouraging for the future. Everything has worked efficiently and the team left a very tidy install, particulary downstairs where there is only an additional switch box to be seen. I'd thoroughly recommend SolarFix.

We had been thinking about solar for years and after hearing recommendations from work colleagues about how much the technology had improved in recent years we decided to take the plunge. They had used Solarfix and recommended them highly so we decided to follow suit and got in touch. Just two months after first contact with Solarfix we now have a fully installed perfectly working system. The deciding factor for us was the battery back up option which enables you to store and reuse excess solar and also charge up with cheap nightrate electricity. I had nine panels fitted in December 2024. From initial phone call to installation, the service offered by Solarfix has been excellent. I have been really impressed by each and every person I have met or spoken to from the company. Everyone has been polite, professional and always wanting to ensure that we were happy with the service offered. The installation was very neat and the guys were very clean, with no mess/ dust left. Installed end of Sept, so gave it a while before this review. Quick, easy and professional installation. Panels up, quickly and internal electrical work took some time due to house internal layout. Left clean, tidy and explained basic monitoring, pending the commission, also a spot check done by Health and Safety - nil issues. Commissioned; all explained and app easy to follow. Forms and MCS/PowerNi bits all done with ease. I realise that it's Autumn/Winter (West/East) install as not south facing. Generation is low but it's Winter! Averaging 4/11% of 4.4kw capacity in dull/ low light. Attached battery charging but not reaching capacity at the moment, still Winter. Was suggested to explore the Economy 7 tariffs for overnight battery charge in order to support day time benefit. Nil issues at the momeny even through the recent storms and install solid. Online videos available for when I eventually get round to changing tariff to update the inverter. Happy, looking forward to brighter nights. :)

About 3 or 4 weeks from start to finish. Sam conducted the initial visit and assessment and was brilliant throughout. I bombarded him with silly questions even after the visit and he replied almost instantly by phone call and email. Very professional company, from initial vist and estimate to installation and hand over, it was smooth and fuss free. We decided to go with Solarfix after several estimates, mainly based on other people's recommendations and the fact that they are one of the longest established solar power providers in the country.  Important for support in the years to come, should it ever be needed. Very happy with the system we have, its early days but given the gloomy weather this year im surprised at how well its performing and certainly looks to be on course to repay us within the forecasted time frame.

SolarFix did a brilliant job installing panels on my home. As per all reviews and everything I read up on the company they did everything brilliantly from start to finish. My rep, Darren, was really friendly and kept costs as low as possible for me. The installation happened sooner than anticipated and was done so quickly on the day. Post installation all the paperwork was done and a handover was completed so I understood the system properly. I have opted for a very small five panel array of 2.175kwh which is slashing my bills and emissions. It feels great to be part of the solution and I'm impressed how soon I'll get my money back for doing so, too!

The process of ordering my solar and batteries was made so easy, with the help of Darren, he designed my system to meet my needs and some. The equipment has been installed for a week now and I still have not used a single KW. I am looking forward to actually get some sunshine now to see what the system is capable of, it has been dull and wet since install and can still meet my electricity needs. the best decision was to over-size my array on the roof after advice from Darren. Forgot to mention I also opted for the Solar diverter (eddi) to heat my hot water with surplus electric, I've had hot water every day, so now my oil boiler is fully turned off. Even more savings. I did a lot of research into selecting a solar company to install my equipment and SOLARFIX NI came out top for equipment specs, price and customer service. System installed was 6.92Kw of panels(16), 10Kw Duracell batteries, and eddi. Finally the girls in the office worked flat out in the backrgound ensuring that all the relevant paperwork etc has been filled out and sent to NIE to allow payment for exporting surplus electic. For the initial visit; for the installation; and for subsequent follow-ups they invariably arrived on the day they said they would - and at the time they said they would. The installation was not disruptive and the installers left our premises as they had found it. The administrative team whom I dealt with (Chelsea, Hayley, Alannah) were pleasant, patient, efficient and helpful. Calls and emails were always returned promptly and any queries raised were quickly resolved. The Building Control issues were all handled by Solarfix including arranging visits and the issuing of a Certificate of Completion.

We had panels installed 7 years ago. Small issue with connection to App and came out within a few days to sort. Seven years!!! and still nothing too much hassle.

I have to say I was impressed by the “military” operations that Solarfix runs; the process is a well-oiled machine, all aspects covered from scheduling and installation to paperwork (Building Control, insurance, certificates, renewable account…). Several key differentiators in the offering itself left no doubt in my choice of provider, and the AC charging capability of the SolarEdge batteries are a game changer, allowing to fully benefit from the PV generation. Everyone working from home here, so we consume above average; we went all out with PV + 10KW Battery. Early days but I can see the potential; hitting a day at 20KWh generation in November was a surprise, can’t wait to add things up in a year. I recommend Solarfix to anyone wanting to deploy Solar Systems.

Very efficient in coming out to see what is needed and during installation. It's November but I've still had quite a few days getting enough power to enough to top up my hot water and give energy during the day.

In 2022 we had to get our house rewired and decided to go all LED and get solar panels. Solarfix were recommended. They did not try to 'up' sell to us and answered all of our questions accurately and honestly. We were going to have a battery but decided it was too much outlay at the time. On their advice we had installed a battery ready system of 5.5kw in June of that year, with a fully insured guarantee. We immediately noticed a reduction in our quarterly bill but had to wait for a full billing year before we could fully judge the results. September 2023 we had the data and after doing the maths were astonished to find our ANNUAL electricity bill was £89.60!! We exported close on 3MW to the grid and used the rest. I can only urge others to take this step - the sooner the better, and I cannot recommend Solarfix NI Ltd highly enough. Quality components, good service, great results.

When we decided to get Solar panels we checked round and Solarfix had been the front runner based on several factors. Once I contacted them, someone was out with us really quickly to talk about options, prices, but at no stage did I feel pressured to buy, it was just facts and figures. The relaxed pitch made me want them more, so when we decided to go with Solarfix, the ladies (and guys) in the office had the whole process run so smoothly. The electrician and installer were fantastic and not phased by the curveball my house threw at them. After installation, everything was sorted and organised by Chelsea and I didnt have much to do, other than watch the electricity being generated. I have been telling everyone about how fantastic they have been from start to finish, so it's only fitting I tell Google too.

Solarfix installed a solar panel system and battery back up for us in October and it has performed absolutely fantastically. I will wait for a year to see for definite but I think it will smash any projections made, making it a superb investment. He is such a genuine bloke with a straight talking and honest attitude regarding what would work best for me, at what was a competitive price. Once I had agreed to go with Solarfix, a date was set and the fitters arrived as planned. They were a no nonsense group of guys who simply got on with the install and left my property as they found it, with the small addition of panels and associated hardware of course……..a real credit to themselves and Solarfix!!!! It would be remiss of me not to mention the admin staff Hayley and Chelsea, who have been a godsend regarding paperwork etc, They have been excellent keeping me updated and furnishing me with my certificates. It is noteworthy that they have completed most, if not all the paperwork on my behalf. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Solarfix as a company and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Many thanks!!!!!!!!

I had a 4.2kw system plus battery fitted just before Christmas. The boys who fitted everything were quick , polite and tidy. It was not till 5th of Jan I got my app due to the holidays. WOW the system had generated 80 kwatt in 3 weeks ,in December. To date the system has generated 310 kw. It has generated far more than I expected. The worse generation is 1 kwatt a day, Best is 16 kwatt . Roll on the longer days. I highly recommend solar panels for saving money, and highly recommend Solarfix for the installation.

Solar panels installed over a week and generating power ⚡⚡⚡ very easy process from the initial meeting to discuss the potential of solar panels with Sam. No pressure just a straight forward discussion of our options and of course costs. Once we decided to go ahead the installation date was arranged and they were fitted and generating power in about 4 hours. Work was neat and tidy and the fitters even did a repair where to missing a slate which had been dislodged some time before. The folks in the office followed up very quickly with the the app, all the formalities with NIE and PowerNI and copies of the guarantees etc for the system. Handover meeting with Sam arranged for next week. Very pleased with things so far. The big question is will they be worth it and only time will answer that. However we are making the best use of all that free electricity and hoping for sunny days 😎

Solarfix installed our system in May 2021 and upgraded it with a battery in February 2022. Everything was done quickly and professional with the minimum of disruption. Solarfix have also very quickly responded to an issue with the battery which needed a firmware update and the inverter, which was remotely restarted. In both cases the issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. All my dealings have indicted a very professional company responsive to customer needs both in installation and ongoing support.

The panels and all equipment were installed on the date promised, professionally and correctly. I was surprised at the care, detail and attention of the team. We now are generating our own electric and storing in the recommended battery pack. After install, commissioning was done, another visit from Sam who was very informative and helpful, he answered all our questions and offered some tips on how to make the best use of the battery storage. We then received a massive pack of documents, manuals, certificates and brochures. Solarfix promised aftercare with configuration, if needed which is great. Highly recommended.

I investigated the market and asked for several quotes from different suppliers but Solarfix was the only one that took their time to explain everything in detail, what the alternatives meant and clear system costs. Decided to install solar panels on my house - contracted 3 suppliers and Solarfix were by far the best. One supplier wouldn't even come out to quote - pay for a survey, no chance! Another was the same price but was really cagey when asked for more detail on brand of panels etc. Michael was excellent, he clearly knows his stuff - explained everything to me and didn't pressure sell. The lads who did the install were great, they arrived early on and were done just after lunch. A few months later i discovered a slate under a panel had been damaged - they sent a guy out and repaired it without any question (a really decent bit of customer service in my opinion). Overall, very pleased with Solarfix - glad I went for the Solaredge panels as they get me more output that a standard string (I calculated 26% based on the data in the app), well worth an extra few £ for the better system. I know a couple of others who used Solarfix and got battery storage too (it doesn't work out for me at the moment due to my usage patterns) - they had nothing but good things to say and they are really thorough guys, like myself! Setup with Power Ni renewables was smooth (to get export payments) and the Solarfix team emailed me all the documents, certificates etc. once I paid the final balance - very efficient and professional. Great job, happy to recommend to anyone.

I should preface this by saying that I’ve been planning to get a solar PV system installed for the past six years, I have tried three times and been so fussy that most solar installers in NI will not answer my calls anymore. So I can honestly say that given my dealing with several NI installers, Solarfix NI Ltd are simply fantastic. Pre-installation: Michael and David were polite and professional from the outset. Michael’s survey was exceptionally thorough and although we only have a small roof area that is suitable for solar PV generation, he managed to design a system that not only exceeded my initial brief but potentially doubles the output that other installers had stated was possible, with higher grade equipment and at a lower price. Michael was very patient as I picked his specifications apart, asked stupid questions and investigated the different options. Installation: There was a three week gap between ordering the system and installation, David and Michael kept in touch and updated us as needed. When their four person installation team arrived, they took the time to discuss the installation with me and found the best route to get the equipment where we asked for it to be installed (needless to say I had not chosen the easiest place). Their work was incredibly neat, they installed it exactly as specified and tidied up after themselves. I cannot praise them highly enough. Commissioning and handover: Michael and David arranged all the paperwork, building control, NIE registration, MCS certification etc. Michael came out to ensure the installation was correctly done and that we were happy. All the paperwork was delivered via Dropbox with the option of USB pen drive if we preferred. The first month: The system has performed very well over the past month, I deliberately chose to install as the days are getting shorter to see what the ‘worst case’ real world generation would be and I am more than happy with what we have been able to generate. We have a minor issue with the inverter’s connection to the internet but as soon as it was spotted, David and Michael proposed a solution. All in all, a great team, great service, great price and a happy fussy customer. 10 month update: We’ve just passed the 4 Mwh mark just over 10 months after the system was installed and honestly could not be more impressed with Solarfix NI and Solaredge equipment. We opted for a Solaredge battery in January and it was delivered and installed in March. The Solarfix NI part went flawlessly, they installed the battery neatly and without fuss. Unfortunately this is a new product, our battery was faulty and it took Solaredge nearly 6 months to replace it. However, there were a few mitigating factors. Supply chain issues didn’t help, neither did the post Brexit import rules. In fairness Solaredge and Solarfix kept in touch the whole time. I even got a very apologetic call from the Solaredge UK manager and, until it was replaced and working, I was never asked for a penny in payment. The battery has now been in a month and, so far, it’s worked exactly as advertised. I’m moving to an Economy 7 style tarif so that I can charge the battery (and our car) on a cheap overnight tariff during the autumn and winter. I’ll update this review in November when we hit 1 year’s usage and the overnight charging is in place

The service provided from the 1st call to completing the installation was first class, trouble free and completed on time . We have had our system installed for 1 month and it has already produced 144 kWh in Winter. I would not hesitate in recommending Michael and David to anyone who is considering fitting solar panels.

Very efficient service. The 5.5KW PV solar system was fully installed in 4 hours with no hassle to us in the house. Their technical manager called in that evening to talk us through the system, how to download and use the app and read all the panels. He also helped us to get registered with Power NI for our own generated electricity and send us all the documentation a few days later. We love being able to generate our own electricity, hot water (with the Eddi heater addition) and put electricity back onto the grid. We got £500 off thanks to the Spend Local Voucher Scheme. I would thoroughly recommend Solarfix NI to others. If this has started working well for us in December, the darkest month of the year, we are very hopeful it will meet and exceed our electricity needs in the spring, summer and autumn.

Got a 4.7KW system installed in August on our terrace house and from start to finish it was a most professional job. Michael talked us through the options and explained everything in detail and nothing seemed too much bother. Our preferred option was for cables to go under floorboards and not on exterior wall and this was noted and done to perfection. The installers started their work on what was one of the worst days of the year and would have finished only for torrential rain making it unsafe but they returned first thing the following morning and finished it off. All together in less than a 24hr period we were up and running with our solar panels. Three months later I couldn't fault the system or their expertise and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you.

To echo Dr Rogers' review, excellent service from start to finish. I contacted SolarFix based off the reviews here. Michael got in touch, arrived, explained everything - being a techy myself we geeked out a bit and had a good honest chat through all the details. Once we had decided to proceed and date was set, the chaps arrived and we were generating electricity within around three and a half hours! The guys completed a nice, clean, tidy job - looks great, all whilst putting up with my child-like curiosity and questions. Michael returned afterwards to run through the system, how it works, and some important safety information. Michael also takes care of the majority of the bits you don't hear about - registering as a supplier and sorting the paper work out with NIE, keeping you posted throughout. We have an awkward roof on the house, so opted for panels on either side of our north-south oriented garage, so half the panels are facing east, and half west. Working out a treat! :) 10/10 - would buy again.

Having decided to install a solar energy system, I spent quite some time searching for a reputable, Northern Ireland based company that is registered with the (MCS) MIcrogeneration Certification Scheme. It is worth checking this directly with MCS, as not all companies are accurate in their claims. I also paid attention to the advice given by Which? Magazine on choosing a company for solar PV installation. Solarfix NI Ltd is a properly accredited member of the MCS scheme, offered plenty of detailed advice and provided much better customer relations than any of the other companies that I approached. After discussing various packages and accepting a final price, the work was carried out very tidily and all in a morning. The system is remarkably unobtrusive and is now generating around 75% (summertime) of my daily needs, including hot water. I expect to install some additional components over the next year or two and will certainly turn to Solarfix NI for any such work. All the staff that I met were very approachable, patient and clearly knew their business. Administration, registration and warranty matters were swiftly dealt with as part of the package. I am very happy to recommend Solarfix NI and hope that the business will continue to prosper and fulfil its valuable role in addressing the crisis caused by climate change.

Installation was quick, very clean, and had a detailed walk-through with Michael. If you want folk that: push a rubbish product; are overpriced; don't turn up; have shockingly awful workmanship and show contempt for your house and belongings then chose another firm! From start to finish it has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with Michael and his team. He was the least pushy of any salesman I have come across and his tradesmen were excellent (as a contrast, today a "plumber" fitted a one way valve the wrong way and then fled). After 4 hours the job was done and I'm generating electricity. Part of the installation also included Michael returning to the property afterwards and running through the system - how many folk are too willing to sell you something and, like my "plumber", flee? My Solar Panels have been in 2 weeks now and working great. They were very quick to come out, provide advice and quote. The install team came within two weeks and completed full installation of 18 panels, inverter and batteries in 4 hours. Everything has been working great since. Support after the install has also been great and we have an app that let's us view energy generation, consumption, battery usage and grid usage. They are also assisting with setting up selling excess energy back to the grid. Recommend.

I had a big problem with pigeons scrabbling and going to the toilet around my house that it was so severe I couldn't use my back door. I have just had nearly 5KwHrs of solar OV panels installed by Solarfix and I have to say it was a really nice experience and we were generating at the end of the day they were fitted. Brilliant service.

We had solar installed a few weeks ago. The whole process was very smooth with little disruption. We had lots of questions which Michael answered with ease and explained thoroughly. We were apprehensive how the panels would look on our slate roof but they blend in well.

Michael and team installed a 9kW battery storage option to my existing solar installation that’d been active for about 8 years. Work completed quickly and without fuss, neat and tidy job and all operational in about half a day. The guys were responsive to operational queries and got the app setup and integrated the new battery storage with a Zappi EV charger with additional CT clamps. I’d definitely recommend speaking to SolarFix if you are considering a similar project.

Solarfix set up a battery system in our house from a pre existing set of solar panels installed several years ago from another supplier. This was all done at the onset of lockdown. Good explanations, clean quick work. Responsive to questions and very helpful in sorting out queries. Would recommend them highly.

We have had the solar panels in now a couple of weeks and they are fantastic. The SolarFix team installed the zappi and the eddi also so the excess energy could charge the car and the immersion respectively. The customer service was first class and the team explained how to use the app to view usage etc. I would highly recommend.

I always had a fascination with renewables and sent a lockdown enquiry to solarfix. Michael emailed a really useful fact sheet explaining how the current systems work and what options there are. When I realised that you don't need to be south facing and that batteries storing energy are now mainstream we arranged a no obligation visit. Michael is excellent at recommending options based on site, budget and habits. The system was up and running within a couple of weeks. The whole system was installed in less than a day. A neat job. Solar PV panels installed Sep 2019. Solarfix came strongly recommended by a family member who had used them for solar PV panels & battery a year earlier. Very knowledgeable surveyor (Michael), who has all the kit in his own house & is completely off-grid, so he knows what he's talking about. He gave good advice on the best layout of panels to maximise the output. He patiently answered all our questions before we committed to this company (the two other companies we asked either couldn't or wouldn't give the info we wanted, so were clearly cowboys, so very glad we didn't opt for them). Installation team came soon afterwards, & were very efficient. Our house layout is a bit unusual, but they had a detailed chat with us about the options & did a great job to deliver what we were after with minimal fuss & very discreet wiring. Solar PV panels look good on our roof, & the rain seems to keep them clean. Have it geared up to heat our water, & we now have noticeably more hot water for showers etc. System comes with an app for what it says is 'real time' monitoring of the output (although actually it only checks every 15 mins). Initially we weren't getting updates of our system's performance for several hours or days at a time, but turns out that was just a problem with our houses's unpredictable wifi signal: Solarfix spotted our problem on their own monitoring system & came for free to fit a wifi aerial inside instead, since when we have had very accurate monitoring. So, almost a year down the line, we can also recommend Solarfix NI: a sound team overall with a good product, no gimmicks, & a reasonable price.

From initial contact to installation in August 2019 the company was very professional throughout. Installation took less than a day and the only blip was getting a wi-fi connection from the meter-board to the internal box. This required a second visit on the following day. I have been very pleased with performance so far and only wish we had more sunshine.

I wanted a very specific type of electric vehicle charger that would draw only electricity from my solar panels at certain times. Solar fix went out of their way to source this . It was installed with no hassle and is working great. Highly recommend

Have to say I've been extremely impressed with the service provided by Solarfix. Whole process has been seamless and professional throughout. Fitting of the panels, inverters and wiring was fast, neat and tidy despite the inclement weather conditions outside. Solar panels have been in a week now and the output has been impressive. Averaging over 10kwh per day output with plentious supply of boiling hot water during the day is more than I was expecting considering the time of year. Oil fired central heating system is also benefitting from the pre-heated hot water in the hot water cylinder, as radiators are now at full working temperature within minutes of the boiler firing up. Provided you can organise your use of power during the day to maximise the energy being produced, then I don't see any reason why these won't be a winner financially in the long term.

We had 16 Solar panels installed. It took one day, no mess, no fuss. The app for tracking generation is great, so easy to use! After care has been excellent, any issues are very quickly sorted by friendly, helpful staff.

We recently completed a new build in September 2019 and chose Solarfix NI Ltd to advise on, design, supply and fit our Solar Panel system with battery backup and the ability to heat our hot water too. Solarfix installed their system to our house in February 2019. They were very quick and efficient and we are really pleased with the results. Our bills have significantly reduced and the hot water Eddi system is an excellent addition. We will probably go for the car charger in the near future.

We have had our solar panels since September 2019 and have had not a single issue with them. Installation was completed in a morning with no need to alter anything visible in our house. The service from Solarfix was excellent from start to finish. It was not straightforward, with panels in 3 roof areas, connecting in a 100 year old house. I am a self builder and have had to get to grips with many renewable energy technologies. You discovery pretty quickly who the genuine trustworthy companies are and SolarFix are. Excellent job.. First installation sept 2018 of panels solarfix inverter flawless by the team very professional. Second upgrade Aug 2019 hotwater Eddi what a difference it makes reducing cost of hotwater recommend at a very affordable price and team back fitted quick and efficient. Third upgrade Jan 2020 extra panels were fitted the team came checked the first fitting overseen the inverter. My solarfix app was updated remotely within minutes could see an improvement. I contacted Solarfix back in August as I wanted to get an idea of how much installing solar panels would be. I found the whole process from start to finish very efficient, and quite straightforward. Michael came to meet with us at our house and provided a clear breakdown of a number of options and pretty much left it up to us to decide, no pushy tactics. We got our quote and took a week or so to decide on what we wanted and everything moved very quickly from that point. Michael kept in contact with us to advise on date of installation and who would be calling and when, and to advise on how and when to pay etc, so there were no surprises at any stage of the installation. Overall this was very professionally managed and I'd happily recommend Solarfix to anyone.

David installed our LG Chem 10kwh 400v battery in 2017 and it worked perfectly until earlier this year when it stopped. (perhaps due to a lightening strike?). Unfortunately due to a life-changing illness in the family, this went unnoticed for a few months, When alerted, David wasted no time in calling round to assess the problem. The whole system was thoroughly tested until the source of the problem was identified. Components were replaced where necessary & the new battery is now working perfectly. Courteous and professional, David is always ready to take time to answer questions and explain what is happening. We were kept informed of progress by email every step of the way.

The team from SolarFix recently completed installation of a 4Kw PV, Eddi and Rolec EV charger. The whole process was very good from initial sales contact to final handover. The quality of the work is excellent, the after sales support also excellent. Even better the team retro fitted a winter deal that started a few weeks after I ordered which meant I got the cost of the Eddi back - this speaks volumes as to the integrity of the organisation. Had 12x panels installed on the shortest day of 2018, 21st December! David McAteer, (Director), previously came out and discussed all the options in a professional and friendly way. Never at any time did I feel any sales pressure, just a comprehensive and frank explanation of the various options. Opted for a Solar Edge system with LG 320W black panels. The installation was completed in less than a day with no mess. I was especially pleased with the neat and hidden cable runs. Even on these dull January days the system offsets our electricity usage. Looking forward to a great summer! All in all, a well matched system installed by people who know what they are doing.

From initial discussions with Solarfix to having a fully functioning system took 6 days. The technology is excellent with the potential to link the system to batteries in the future. The benefits can be easily seen using the online app and we have an ample supply of hot water. The installation was very professionally completed all within one day. The workmanship was very neat and tidy. This is an excellent product supplied and installed with the utmost professionalism.

I am delighted with the service and product from Solarfix NI. David is helpful and knowledgeable about alternative energy. I found him very willing to spend time discussing the options to find the best solution for my particular environment. That includes what to buy and where to site it. The LG System coupled with the SolarEdge Controller really makes the best use of a Battery System added to my Solar Panels I have had for nearly 4 years. These panels have already reduced the units of electricity I use by more than 25%. I have no Gas or Oil, so I am a heavy user. I am very interested to see what additional savings I will get out of the System now I have a battery. The installation is very neat, and installers excellent.

I contacted a few companies for quotes and Site Surveys, David was the only one who produced a drawing of the layout of the panels (and gave us options of how they would look) We had arranged 4 appointments with other installers and only 2 showed up, SolarFixNI was over £1500 cheaper than other quotes I received. When we decided to go with SolarFixNI, We grilled them about the tile movement in the roof, which was quickly satisfied with an email back 10 minutes later showing photo's of how the tiles were moved, the brackets fixed, and the tiles replaced. From deciding to appoint SolarFixNI for the job, to the panels being installed was only a week, and the fitters were on site at 8 and complete by mid-day. I have to say my wife wasn't keen on the thought of getting the panels installed.... but they're the best damn panels in the street! The Inverter, cabling everything was exceptionally neat and tidy - I nearly want them back to install that battery backup system! Best Investment!
