I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel Stag Solar truly deserves one. They installed my solar system in April last year, and after using it for over a year, I was so pleased with it that I've recently expanded the system with an additional battery. From the original installation through to the expansion, the experience has been fantastic. Richard and the team were excellent throughout, with a special thank you to Josh for all his hard work. The attention to detail during the planning stage was spot on. The system was designed with future expansion in mind, which made the second installation just as smooth and straightforward as the first. The quality of workmanship was excellent, and the team worked closely with me to hide as much cabling as possible, even coordinating the work around me digging up sections of my driveway. There aren't many companies I'd happily give five stars to, but Stag Solar is certainly one of them. I'll continue to use them for any future solar or battery projects and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Stag installed my solar and battery system back in February. Everyone in the team was beyond exceptional, went above and beyond, and managed to maximise my roof space to get as many panels as possible. Huge thanks to the whole team and can’t thank them enough.
After my Powerwall 2 failed under warranty and the original supplier didn't want anything to do with it, Stag Solar took over and organised a replacement Powerwall 3 through Tesla. I was impressed with the quick handling of organising the replacement and the willingness to do it, I added an expansion pack at the same time. Both the office and field teams were excellent and the installation went without a hitch. I would highly recommend Stag Solar.
Stagsolar installed 12 panels, FOX ess 11.5kWh battery and 6kWh Inverter. I found Stagsolar a very professional company with a friendly approach. Easy to talk with and to understand my options, made this a pleasant experience. On site the team were a credit to the company on how they worked and made sure the installation met my expectation. Really happy with how the solar panels look as well. I would for sure recommend Stagsolar.

Jess said she'd update the firmware after ending the call. Got a notification within minutes to say it had started NO MESSING! Lovely girl.
Stag Solar recently installed a system for us, from start to finish they were nothing but efficient, professional and informative. Richard talked through our options, re-quoted as I changed my mind. He also helped me avoid extra expense by not letting me install fancy add ons that weren’t cost effective. The finished system is great, it’s really well installed, everything works as it should and solar with a battery is honestly a game changer, within a few days it’s was obvious we are going to save a lot of money on our bills. From the project manager to the onsite team, everyone is friendly and switched on. They took all their rubbish, don’t leave a mess and generally were fabulous. It’s so nice to find a local firm with so much going for them. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stag to anyone.
Stag Solar did a solar panel and battery install (FoxESS) for me in June 2025 and I couldn't be happier with how everything went from start to finish. Josh and the whole team have been really great and answered every question I had (and I had a lot!). Everything went super smoothly and the quote was highly competitive as well. In the end Stag Solar as a local company won me over by their expertise and customer service and I know I absolutely made the right decision. The install went super well and everyone was careful about all the surroundings as well. When I did have a power issue as a result of the new install the following day, they sent an engineer out right away and fixed the problem for good. I'm super happy with my panels' production and the battery, so really can't fault them at all. It's early days of course, but during the summer months I could already see the pros of my system in my monthly bills 😎☀️ You don't have to think twice with Stag Solar, they're a fantastic choice!
We had superb service from Stag Solar, from our initial enquiry to our recent installation. There was no 'hard sell' at any point - just considered suggestions as to how to get the best benefit from the system. These we were happy to go along with (and are now glad we did). Paperwork and information was sent in a timely manner and the odd query was dealt with almost instantly - the sign of a professional company in my experience. The installation itself was (astonishingly!) completed in one day; the team were all but invisible around our property, which was left clean and tidy. All in all we would recommend Stag Solar Solutions without any hesitation. A pleasure to do business with.

From my first contact to the final commissioning of our GivEnergy AIO, it’s been a completely stressless experience. Responses to emails are quick and clear. Quote was given ( in my case) straight away. Dealing with the office was friendly and helpful. The team that did the installation were good people to have at your house for the day it took for the install. I believe it’s a family business which appears to focus the people aspect, that’s staff and customers.I unreservedly recommend Stag Solar.

I had consulted a number of companies before I was recommended Stag Solar and commenced discussions with Richard at Stag first in 2024. Our ask was perhaps more complex than most with a need for a large number of panels to be installed on an out building but with the need to also be able to feed our house which was on a separate supply. Richard provided genuine honest advice over possible equipment and solutions with a clear recommendation on what he felt was best. It was obvious that Richards advice was based on deep technical knowledge and that his focus was always on the best outcome for us not on any particular solution, manufacturer or the price he could achieve. We corresponded over the best part of a year and the fact that Richard continued to remain engaged is a testament to his customer centric focus. We have just recently had the system installed, with panels, battery storage and EV charging capability, integrating the supplies of both our outbuilding and our main house. The installation team including Josh and many others were incredible - highly professional, courteous and detail focused. Post installation they are helping register the system and sort out export metering to the grid and have returned to site twice to help us get familiar with the system and app. We are really delighted with the result. The system is producing huge amounts of energy and exporting surplus to the grid and although its the summer we are now able to say we really are totally powered by Sunshine. What a great team - I couldnt recommend them enough.
I was always sceptical about having solar panels but a close friend recommended Stag Solar, who had recently installed a number of panels on his house. My close friend has never given me bad advice so I contacted Richard, the CEO at Stag Solar to start a discussion, having first used their excellent website to get an initial quote. Richard and Josh spent time answering all my questions and were very patient with me :) The upshot being that they have installed 21 panels on my swimming pool building and the black panels blend with the slate roof and look as if they have always been part of the original build...one of my worries. The installation was very smooth and the Stag Solar team, on the ground and in the office were fantastic. Richard, the CEO, is technical but also hands on and came out on the installation day to make sure all was in order and I was happy. Great customer service! I received all the support documentation promptly following the installation, together with the export MPAN, which Stag Solar had applied for early to expedite the account set up with an energy supplier to enable the payments for exporting surplus energy to the grid. The system has been working for 2 months now and I can see the step change in lower running costs. In conclusion, my scepticism has been cured and I am considering signing up for another solar panel installation with Stag Solar, who from my experience, I strongly recommend.
Stag are a professional outfit with meticulous workmanship - I have Batteries and 20 panels, you wouldn’t even notice they’re there. Recommend to anyone considering solar. Non-pressured approach combined with subject matter expertise.
The benefits of working with a local business far exceed big corporates. The team from Stag were easy to talk to throughout the process, from booking a visit too installation & after. Josh came over to survey & provided a plan for the installation without any hard sell pressure. Day of installation. The team arrived early & were all respectful of my property. They worked well with one another & were polite & courteous throughout the day. The installation went through without any issues & the work was completed to a quality standard & the site left clean & tidy. After sales. Again the benefit of a local company allows conversation with a real life person & no jumping through hundreds of hoops & button pressing to be met with hours of waiting on hold listening to abysmal music. I've been waiting on UKPower Networks for my MPAN number & it was great to have Megan chasing them up for me trying to push through the request so I can change my tariff with Octopus. If I could, I'd rate Stag Solar Solutions 10 stars. What a wonderful business to deal with, thank you & keep up the great work.
Stag Solar recently installed solar for me. Josh was excellent with initial contact. Ensuring I understood the quotes and the benefits and pitfalls of each option. Richard and Josh visited the site to explain the install process and go over the finer details. Again, excellent, providing further useful snippets and observations. The install process itself ran exactly to plan. Jim and the team explained as they went through the install ensuring they were available to answer any questions. Megan was on hand to deal with any paperwork queries. All of the follow up paperwork was completed speedily. All round very happy and I would recommend.

We recently instructed Stag to install solar panels, Tesla PW and EV charger and they were fantastic throughout. Everybody from the top down was great to deal with and the installation itself went without a hitch. On top of this, Stag were also highly competitive with their pricing and we are so glad we chose them over a number of other installers we met with. We have started seeing the savings already and its only March.
Very happy with the service from Stag Solar. Josh and Richard visited to discuss options and then provided a quote which was competitive with others I had. Couple of weeks later installed solar panels and a battery system on the Monday with final configuration happening on Tuesday morning. My system has now been up and running for a couple of weeks with no issues, all the documents G99, Export number etc provided by the office as soon as UK Power Networks had issued them. Excellent service all round.
Following a wiring connection problem with our solar panels which were installed some 10+ years ago, Stag Solar Solutions kindly offered to attend. Following an initial visit they recommended that a new Inverter may be required , but would check the wiring on the roof in the first instance. Having found a break in the wiring which was promptly repaired, everything was back up and working, with no need for a new Inverter at this time. This was the best service both on the phone and attendance that anyone could wish to receive from a polite and caring team. Thank you so much.
Highly recommended. We choose Stag Solar Solutions to install our solar panels and battery. We discussed our options available with Richard, and we were very impressed with his detailed knowledge of what would work best for us. The installation team worked in very efficiently tidy manner. Richard helped sort out the issue we had with our router connection issues, and advised how to set up our import and export tariffs. Stag Solar have done an excellent job installing solar panels and battery at our property. The design and quotation process was really quick and informative, with various options discussed before the ideal solution was chosen. The installation was booked in within a couple of weeks. The installation team did a brilliant job, for instance discussing the best way to keep the cables as neatly hidden as possible. The job was finished and providing us with all our electricity within two days.

We have been very impressed with the Stag Solar team. Clear information, home visit for further explanations were much appreciated. The installation went smoothly, with our loft, house and garden all left tidy. We are two months in and have enjoyed being almost totally solar powered, with 14 panels & 9.5kwh battery.
When choosing to have a solar solution added to our home we researched what we would need in terms of panels and a battery to store excess power for use at night. I contacted several companies for a quote and advice, Stag Solar Solutions was very competitive and gave good sound advice. They have good office support for technical help if needed. Once we had discussed and agreed on the set up needed a date was set for the instal. The team arrived on time, about 6 people. All very courteous and respectful of our home. They put up the rack and some panels on the first day despite the rain! Most of the indoor work and wiring was completed. On the second day the panels where put on the roof (no rain) and the system was commissioned and working by lunch time. The technician went through each device and the app you get to monitor and control the system. We chose the Givenergy Inverter, 9.5KW battery and a Givenergy car charger. I would highly recommend the Givenergy equipment it is a British company with UK support should you need it. I am writing this about a month after instal and must say very happy with everything. A few minor teething problems where sorted out with the help of the Stag Solar support team. Stag Solar also sorted out very quickly all the paperwork and certificates needed to get registered with our power company (Octopus Energy), and we soon got an export tariff. It was all made very easy. We are generating really well, even on dull days. When the sun is out the car charges quickly as well. It feels good to use "green" energy at home and the payoff will be very low electricity bills, saving on petrol and making a bit on exporting excess electricity. I highly recommend Stag Solar Solutions if you are looking for a reliable and accredited company.

7 months in very happy, cherge battery every night cheap rate with Octupus Energy and not had to pay an electric bill, No gas bills in summer using solar for emersion heater win win win. Really pleased with the completed installation, nothing has been to much trouble and some small niggles were sorted straight away, very professional and attentive from quotation to completion. Would have no hesitation recommending if you are considering a solar installation.

With other companies that are large national affairs I’m only talking to sales people and the after sales is an unknown quantity.
Richard and his team did a fantastic job installing and commissioning our solar system. From start to finish the process was effortless, the team were diligent and highly efficient, the entire system including the battery, car charger and 18 panels were installed in a single day. The site was left clean and tidy and Richard returned the following day to explain how to use the system. I cannot fault the service and backup provided by Richard and his team at Stag Solar.
First of all we would highly recommend Richard and the STAG team. When we underwent our ‘Solar journey’ we were slightly overwhelmed with the number of different systems and options available and most importantly what would be the most suitable for our needs. We tried to do our due diligence and separate the cowboys from the more professional companies. We engaged with a number of companies and obtained 6 quotes. STAG were not the cheapest but were certainly one of the most professional companies and actually took time to understand our needs and provide sound advice. Based on our usage and detailed advice we opted for a Solar Edge / Tesla system and STAG installation. Communication through the whole process was excellent. Although there were some delays with installation (mostly weather related) STAG were efficient, courteous and great to deal with . Our requests around issues relating to cable management etc were fully fulfilled and we are pleased with the final result. In this respect we would have no reservations in recommending Richard and the STAG team.
The team were great! I cannot rate them highly enough. I initially had my solar installation completed by another nightmare firm. Long story short; I had an install but no paperwork (certs, regs etc.) blocking the sale of my house. I spoke with Richard who was super helpful, gave us honest advice about how to proceed. After running down our other options we ended biting the bullet and getting a full re-install via Stag. The communication throughout, including aftercare, was fantastic. The team worked tireously to sort the paperwork and get the installation redone to a high standard. Paperwork supplied to E.On and were setup almost straight away and Solicitors happy. I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Stag Solar. I'll be giving them a call as soon as Im in my next house :-)
Excellent company to deal with. They take the time to listen to your requirements and then work out options bespoke to you and your requirements. Great team of installers that took great care in their work and explained clearly each stage as it was completed. After care is brilliant. As much or as little input as you require, very willing to check details and explain them. Really puts your mind at ease as you learn about what their system can do. Can’t praise this companies work and team enough.
Couldn't be happier! Richard and his team were brilliant. Lots of communication throughout the whole process so I knew exactly what to expect. We talked through all the options and came up with the best solution for my house. Everyone showed up when they said they were going and were very respectful of my property - keeping things tidy even though day 1 of the installation was a very wet day! Before leaving Richard made sure I understood how the system worked and gave me a tour of the app to get me started. I'm sure there are lots of not so honest companies installing solar right now - I'm very glad I made the choice to go with a local company who really cared about doing a great job.
Whole process was simple on my part and the installation was carried out in an efficient and professional manner and on a timely basis. The installation team tidied up after completion of the work and all of the team were a pleasure to communicate with. My only minor criticism is that the system is App driven and it would be very helpful to have received an Instruction Manual on the ins and outs of the system. I have grasped the basics but struggle with what some of the information on the App means.

After spending two years “looking and not committing” we found Stag Solar and Richard. I was looking for a company who would spend the time to explain how the panels and inverters would work for our type of usage and not just sell us panels and inverters that might not be suitable. I recently had two Tesla Powerwalls installed by Stag Solar and can thoroughly recommend them. Richard took the time to make sure the system was right for my needs and advised on the best setup. The delivery went smoothly and was on time. Great communication throughout the process from Marcus, keeping me informed at every stage. The quality of the work is excellent, they explained exactly what they were doing as the install progressed and left everything clean and tidy.
We chose Stag Solar after a personal recommendation from a colleague. I was impressed from the off with the detailed, tailored quote which illustrated the potential savings. Richard and team have been very helpful from the outset and answered all my queries on the different set ups. The install went really well with all the team being especially helpful and they even swept up the garage after the battery install . Just remember to stock up on Yorkshire Tea and proper biscuits which were devoured. Install was just short of 2 days and the system was all well explained to me. I also upgraded and added a water heater controller and smart car charger which are working fantastically well. The app works a treat and I can see how much electricity we are making. Rachel in the office was very efficient and I'm now exporting to the grid which generates a little income too. I was looking for a local company that specialised in solar and i came across Stag Solar Solutions. After an enquiry I spent time talking with Richard and no question was too much trouble. He took the time to explain various aspects so i could fully understand them and at no stage were there any hard sell tactics. After several calls and rounds of questions I still had some reservations regarding equipment siting and placement of panels so Richard took more time to come out and walk round with me to explain where equipment could go and how the installation would run. Having satisfied my reservations I placed an order and the process ran extremely smoothly. Scaffolding was arranged and a site survey performed. Richards team arrived promptly and were extremely professional and polite. A really neat and tidy job to boot with all equipment sited giving me the best possible result in the look and the placement of the panels and the associated boxes! The team were all great, super friendly and happy to interact with my nosey young daughter too! I was walked through the equipment and the app (which is really addictive :D ) and then we were generating our own power!!! I would thoroughly recommend Richard and his team. Stag Solar is a really great company to deal with. Richard is very knowledgeable about all aspects of solar panels, inverters batteries and electricity supply companies. Talking with him helped me sort out the right system for our house, I did not get the same feeling from the other three solar companies I spoke to. The installation team were excellent, they accommodated all my requests and were polite, tidy and on schedule with the full installation. Although it's only been a week since the installation and the weather has been terrible we have generated some good solar power already with one day where we did not use any electricity from the grid. I am very happy and can highly recommend them.
Our whole experience with Stag Solar Solutions has been a pleasure from start to finish. We initially received calculations from two firms and there was a marked difference between them. The 1st company wanted to cover our whole house in panels and promised the earth in return, whereas Richard was realistic about what we should expect from our modest array and eventually when we got to installation stage, was able to over-deliver on the return we were expecting. It is also good to mention that we met many of Richard's team during the installation (it was completed in stages being a new build) including Dan, Danny, Jimmy, Kyra and Connor, the latter two being budding apprentices. All of them were a delight to be around and couldn't do enough to make sure our requirements were met, the quality of our tea probably helped relations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stag Solar, not only because they provided us with a realistic, honest and conscientious service, but also because they are thoroughly nice people.
We recently had a PV & battery system installed by Stag Solar. I am really pleased with how this is performing. My experience with Stag Solar from start to finish was excellent and very professional. Due to unprecedented demand I had been let down by other installers. Most will proposed a prescribed combo (PV + battery system) in-line with their "business model" but might not necessarily match your budget and needs. There are many brands and options to chose so I'd recommend first do your research. The survey was carried out at the agreed time by Richard Walters and the proposed system was agreed. A comprehensive and costed system with. performance estimate was provided. Installation work commenced at the agreed time and was carried out in a professional and tidy manner by a friendly team. The installed equipment is of good quality and after commissioning worked as specified. All planning approvals and required documentation was handled by Stag Solar. I an very pleased with the service received from Stag Solar and with the 5 kW system with battery.
Stag Solar installed a solar panel and battery system to my home. Stag solar were excellent from start to finish, dealing with the process and installation step by step. Richard was extremely knowledgeable on the type of system required, all design requirements, expected performance and all regulatory aspects. As many of the other reviews state, I honestly could not recommend stag Solar more if I tried. Richard and his team fitted an In roof 16 panel system for us around 5 months ago. The staff fitting the system were polite and unbelievably professional throughout. The job itself is of the highest finish quality I have ever seen. Being in the building trade myself I have a tenancie to pick holes in people's work but I can honestly say there isn't a screw or fitting out of place. The aftercare you receive to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the work is also the best I have seen. Like I say if you are looking for a solar install or any type of work ie car chargers ect stag Solar is the best around. Thanks Richard for all the hard work you and your team put into our install. I recently had a battery system installed by Stag Solar. It was added to an existing solar panel system installed by others nearly 12 years ago. The work was done efficiently by Richard's team & I found him very knowledgeable & helpful throughout the process. The battery is already doing well by enabling me to charge it with much cheaper overnight electricity, & topping up the charge with any surplus solar power we have. That typically covers most & sometimes all of our daytime electricity use. It proved useful when we had a power cut & I was able to switch to battery back up. I expect to get even more benefit from the battery a bit later in the year when we see more sunshine, & am confident that we will then use even less electricity from the grid.
Stag Solar put 16 PV panels on our roof, inverter battery and car charger. Excellent service, they are very professional, work efficiently and great team atmosphere. Excellent assessments of our needs, and quick installation - all completed in 2 1/2 days. Thoroughly recommended.
Our experience with Stag Solar was positive from the outset. During the quotation stage, all our questions were answered honestly, which gave us the confidence that we had specified the right system, and that we had chosen the right supplier. The installation team arrived on time, completed the work within 3 days, and left no mess. The system has worked faultlessly, and in the first month of operation in January 2023, generated nearly half of our electricity.
Stag Solar were my first choice of installer for solar and batteries due to seeing so many positive reviews for them, coupled with being local to me. Unfortunately they were so busy at the time, I started looking elsewhere. After a false start with another installer who failed to source my equipment at the prices agreed, I ended up deciding to wait it out for Stag Solar…and I’m so glad I did! They installed a relatively large system with batteries for me; but due to various issues with siting the components they needed to do some additional works to get everything working as expected. They excelled themselves and have left me as one very happy customer! They came when they said they would, they explained everything as they went and never failed to answer my endless questions. The installers were all very nice people and really left myself and my wife feeling confident we had made the right choice. Richard, who oversees everything from the initial design to system commissioning, was always responsive to any calls or emails. This is customer service as it should be! The other aspect of customer service that sets them apart in my opinion, is how they’ve responded to me post-install. I’ve added a charger to the system in place of the one already there, which required some additional work to get it working as required with the rest of the system; they came out when required and went above and beyond to make sure everything was 100% before they’d sign it off…even coming back when I decided I wanted something changed. I can’t emphasize enough how impressed I’ve been with them. I’ve now recommended them to several neighbors and friends who’ve also used them and been left very happy with the results.
Highly recommended! We shopped around for over a month getting quotes from a lot of companies, but most of them were "cookie cutter" off the shelf options that didn't really take into account our needs. Richard at Stag Solar came round and spent time understanding our requirements, then talking through the pros and cons of various options. He was very knowledgeable and it was reassuring to talk to a technical person rather than a salesman. The actual install itself went very well. His team were professional and speedy, and the end result is a very tidy installation. We would thoroughly recommend them.
I`m very, very pleased with having taken the decision to have Solar PV installed at my property complete with a number of storage batteries and associated energy saving devices including an electric car charger. I recommend Stag Solar. Getting supplies of solar products can be very difficult at present. I was very impressed by Richard’s proactive approach to firstly getting the kit in his hands and in resolving manufacturing issues with the unit. He kept me well informed of status and progress throughout. Knowledgeable and having a good handle on installation options the team worked well. The system is up and running smoothly, sooner than I expected.
Getting panels and choosing to go with Stag Solar is one of the best decisions we’ve made. Installation was really straightforward and completed in 2 days with no disruption, the app is very easy to understand and navigate and, most importantly at the moment, we’re already saving money. Because I was working during installation, I only very briefly met Richard and the team. However, communication since has been excellent. On a couple of occasions that I’ve had questions, Richard and Aaron have been instantly available to advise and have been happy to give their time on the phone and by email. Overall, Stag have been thoroughly professional and diligent, installing the panels and battery with no hassle or fuss, and following up to check everything’s working well. Stag Solar did a neat and efficient job in providing an array on my separate garage. It all linked into the house with battery storage and a car charger as well. A few niggles with connectivity to wi fi etc, but they kept at it to provide a very effective system. Everyone that comes round gets the full tour. Well done Richard & gang.

For me they installed a 5kw array with 8.2kw battery, inverter and car charger, the install was very clean and tidy. Very impressed with the team at Stag Solar - especially Richard. I contacted Stag when I'd been let down by another installer on install day (on the 'national scheme') and had wasted pretty much all of the Spring and Summer pushing for, and waiting, for the install to take place. Richard responded immediately same day (after hours in fact), came to visit within a couple of days. He provided me with a stack of info, an enhanced and more up to date system option and at no point did I feel under any pressure (which I absolutely hate and just turns me cold as a buyer). Having chatted through the options, I gave Richard the order and have just had the system installed (Solar, solaredge plus battery). Richard himself came to install along with his very friendly and polite team. The install was completed across 2 days with minimal noise, disruption and no mess. The scaffold was erected Monday and removed Friday. I am now addicted to the app showing me what my array is producing, what I am using and what I am storing. The best bit is seeing what I am no longer buying from the grid.... I realised very quickly that investing in Solar and batteries is a big step and can be a minefield but I am so glad I went with Stag Solar.

I cannot speak highly enough of Richard. After having had the installation of my Victron battery system installed by Imesco solar a good few years ago the company went bust. I only found this out recently when my system developed a fault, I then had a problem I could not find anyone who wanted to deal with the Victron system until I found Stag Solar Solutions and I am so very glad that I did.
