We recently bought a house that had a 15-year old solar PV installation on a flat-roofed loft conversion. It needed to be decommissioned/removed to allow roof works, which was all straightforward. Ben also advised on more appropriate/robust fixings that could be installed during the roof works. Things got a bit more complex when it came to light that the installed capacity was below what was permitted on the MCS Certificate, and that some panels had been damaged/removed at some point. Ben was extremely helpful, thorough and knowledgeable in exploring/discussing options to fix this and provided information/words to support discussions with the Renewables Department at British Gas, who were far less helpful - but we eventually got agreement in writing. Installation of the new panels and re-commissioning the system was straightforward and Ben has provided supporting documentation to keep British Gas happy). Throughout the process - which stretched over 8 weeks - Ben's communication was timely, accurate and effective. He knows his stuff and obviously takes pride in being a subject matter expert. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend So Go Solar.
Ben provided excellent assistance in rectify a recent issue I had with my Sonnen battery. He was quick and reasonably priced.
We were having our roof repaired and Sogo Solar was recommended to us to carry out the decommission and recommission of our solar panels. Ben communicated directly with the roofers and provided them with a step by step solution and was on hand when approval was required, this solution meant we were able to use our existing rails. On the recommissioning of the solar panels Ben took photographic step by step evidence to show what work had been carried out and talked through any specifics. In more than 6 years of dealings with SogoSolar they have been excellent throughout. From initial surveys and quotation through to installation and aftercare service. Thoroughly good technical information readily given without any measure of a hard sell. More than two years after installation I had an ongoing issue with my energy supplier due to their faulty meter. I was looking for a credible / quality firm to install in roof solar panels on a house I am planning to buy in Surrey. After contacting Ben, I was very pleased with the fact that he sent thru a diagram of what might be possible and also discussed with me on the phone the pro/cons. He was generous with his time and knowledge despite the fact this was just an initial enquiry from me. Once I buy the house I will certainly ask him to visit the property and confirm what is possible and use him should I go forward with the solar array.
Shocking customer service. I called up and spoke to a totally incompetent waste of oxygen. He basically posted me to the website as he knew absolutely nothing about his products. If this is the kind of staff this company employs, I’d sooner be taking my business elsewhere. I’ll be sure to add to this post of more helpful suppliers.

Our PV solar system was installed in 2011 and has performed well. Then after 9 years the invertor failed and my original installer was no longer trading. I contacted Ben at Sogosolar and received excellent service. Good advice, reasonable quote and prompt/ efficient installation.
Properly knowledgeable, system agnostic and an excellent standard of work. Sogosolar fitted solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall for me in Feb 2019 and I have been extremely pleased with the work, the results and the standard of follow up from Ben. I had used Sogo Solar during the initial solar installation on my house over 5 years ago, they were excellent with regards to pricing, advice and support. Ben was always a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful with any queries. The system installed is outperforming our predictions and I predict will pay for itself in a little over 5yrs. Later I extended my solar array and added a Tesla Powerwall, again with Sogo solar, and all have been working happily for several years. During the last 5 years the only issue I had was with one inverter that started to malfunction, Ben quickly sorted and repaired within days, very pleased! Excellent service from Ben and his team. The system was fitted on November 2018 but we have only just moved in. The system is generating very well on sunny days giving in excess of 30kwh per day in production. Ben helped me get the system ready before the government grant cut off and gave me all the necessary paperwork to get the grant approval. I am extremely happy with the system and Ben and his team have also returned to fix minor teething issues without delay. Do not go with a cheap non MCS installer. I can 100% recommend SoGo Solar as they will give you what you need at a good price. Highly recommended. 👍

I met Ben at the Grand Designs London exhibition in 2016. He was by far the most knowledgeable solar installer I'd met. He installed and commissioned solar panels & inverter in 2017 and a Modbus meter for performance monitoring in 2018. Very pleased with the results, sensible pricing and Ben's professionalism and technical support. Ben has recently installed a system to divert excess/export power to water heating. I contacted Ben as the company who installed our solar array no longer trade and we were experiencing leaks into the attic. Ben arranged for a roofing company to assess the damage then coordinated the repair which involved removal of the panels, mending the roof and replacing the panels. He also arranged the scaffolding. All involved communicated well so we knew what was happening at all times. Very professional, thank you!

Excellent service. Ben provided a competitive quote to install a solar diverter, the Marlec iBoost, arrived punctually to install the device, and carried out the installation and testing efficiently, and explained how it works. With the sunny weather lately, the excess electricity generated heats our water instead of going into the Grid. The iBoost buddy monitors activity and we can see continuously what is happening to the electricity generated by our solar panels.
Sogosolar were very professional and helpful throughout the PV installation process, including: the design stage where they worked with our architects to recommend a suitable set-up, providing likely output calculations, coordinating with our contractor on the multi-stage install, commissioning the system and setting up monitoring so we can assess whether we would benefit from a home battery before committing to one. They were also helpful when we had to investigate some unexplained electricity usage which helped us spot and correct the problem earlier than we would have without their system and guidance. Just a slight hiccup as they didn't point out that we needed an EPC conducted before the PV system was commissioned, otherwise they would have got 5 stars! Highly recommended!

Installed a Solar iBoost unit for us. Great piece of kit, but during the installation another device was disconnected in error. SogoSolar arranged for a local electrician to fix quickly and discounted our bill to cover the cost - we couldn't have asked for better service.
