Excellent Air Conditioning Unit for Our Conservatory – Highly Recommended! We recently had a single-head air conditioning unit installed in our conservatory, and we’re extremely pleased with it. It makes a huge difference to the temperature, keeping the conservatory lovely and cool during warmer weather and providing heating when it’s cold. The unit is quiet, efficient and easy to use. It’s made our conservatory a much more comfortable space to enjoy all year round. A great investment, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to make their conservatory more usable throughout the year!

I emailed SolarArmour regarding an possible upgrade to my existing system and within a couple of days I had a representative call and gave me advice.The advice was accepted and again within a couple of days the upgrade was implemented. Couldn’t ask for better service. Would recommend SolarArmour to any one interested in having solar energy installed.

From working with us on the design of the system, through installation and after care including certification with the energy suppliers our experience of working with Solar Armour was exceptional. Lewis and Amy (our main contacts) were always very professional, available at any time to answer any questions we had. The installation itself went without a hitch, panels, battery storage and commissioning all completed in one day. We would strongly recommend Solar Armour if you’re considering a solar system.

Stay away.. as far as possible from this company.. they give all the talk until they have your money but refuse to accept any responsibility whatsoever for their installation. Their mail server constantly refuses mail and the only director refuses to accept registered mail and returns to the sender. The system has failed numerous times and they now refuse to even acknowledge emails or mail. We are now taking them to court to recover our money but they will probably never pay it back.

Not to be trusted. Took deposit, knowing GivEnergy was in administration. Now having to take them to small claims court to get my money back. They keep promising, but do not return my money!

We have just used Solar Armour Ltd, a solar energy company that fitted a battery to our Solar Panels that were installed many years ago. We wanted to share our experience as it was so wonderful to deal with a company who were professional, efficient, and pleasant from the initial Sales person, Surveyor, Engineer, and in particular Amy, Head of Operations, who was ultra efficient in her administration and went out of her way to assist us in getting our system ready, with all the necessary information to apply to our Electricity Supplier. We highly recommend them!

The SolarArmour gangs for scaffolding and for installation came promptly as arranged. Scaffolding was quick. The installers hit a cable routing problem in this late Victorian house, which they overcame with a suggestion from me. They were nice and hard-working people and they cleaned up meticulously at the end. My house is cleaner than before they came!

I’ve worked with Solar Armor Limited on three separate projects, and each time they’ve been exceptional. In 2021, they installed a 12-panel system with a hybrid inverter and 5 kWh battery storage. We had delays outside their control and even a faulty battery on arrival. But what stood out was their proactive approach: they swapped the battery from their stock and got me exporting energy quickly. In 2022, they helped me add another battery, honoring a discount for my referrals. Most recently, in 2026, they installed 11 panels on my garage. Across these three projects, naturally, some details needed clarification—when multiple people handle information, things can get mixed. But what I admire most is that Solar Armor always owns any slip-ups. They put their hand up, honor their agreements, and resolve issues with transparency. On my last install, a bird mesh detail was missed, but they quickly acknowledged it and fixed it. They’ve always been competitively priced and deeply committed to satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend them—they’re eager, communicative, and always step up when it counts. Truly a pleasure to work with! To top it off, I’m now working with Solar Armor on a fourth project—I’ve asked them to install an EV charger for me. After contacting many various solar companies I narrowed it down to 3 companies and after going to Solar Armour’s showrooms in Hutton and meeting Lewis and Jordan and discussing an installation I was very impressed with their knowledge and recommendations and decided there and then to get a quote which I was very impressed with and accepted within 2 weeks my system was installed and commissioned working like a dream the whole experience went without a hitch and I would have no hesitation in recommending Solar Armour and would thank mark and his team for organising a faultless installation. What a pleasure it was to deal with this company. From my first contact with Amy, to my meeting with Wayne who explained every aspect of the project and costs. And finally to Matt, Dan, Ben and Dom, our intrepid installation team. Most people would have turned back home given the atrocious weather and grid locked M25, but they soldiered on and got the job done by tea-time. All 17 panels, Tesla Gateway and Inverter installed, and all tidied up afterwards. I can honestly recommend Solar Armour. A proper professional job at a competitive price (other like for like quotes were more expensive).

Had 20 panels installed and a battery. After 1 week the battery went faulty. Mark from Solar Armour came out and advised need a new battery but as it’s a supplier fault can take up to 2 weeks to come. The new battery came after 4 weeks but no fault of Solar Armour, supplier had delayed the new battery. The install was perfect and quick. Very happy with the system. Price was very competitive. I had got quotes from 15 different suppliers but Solar Armour came in lower on the price compared to the others. Would definitely recommend

They are the biggest cons and money grabbers. They jump to install new air conditioning system for new customers but the service they give you us 0%. Please don't make a mistake of letting them in your house

Although our contract had expired, I was very disappointed with the aftercare provided by Solar Armour. We experienced a battery error, but were told by Mark that it was a DC fault caused by pigeons getting under the solar panels on our flat roof, despite bird guards having been installed. The proposed solution involved a £195 call-out fee (which could be applied toward repair costs), plus the cost of scaffolding, panel removal, and full rewiring. Altogether, this would have cost more than any savings we’ve made over the past three years. I raised concerns about the error message, which clearly indicated a battery fault. These concerns were dismissed, and I was told I would be sent a copy of their error report, which never arrived. I later sought a second opinion, and the issue was resolved immediately at no extra cost. It was, in fact, a battery issue. I’m particularly disappointed that no responsibility was taken for the lack of warning about potential vermin damage, despite bird guards being fitted. Solar Armour provided excellent service at the start, but once you're out of contract, support is limited and costly. I would advise others to proceed with caution. Battery Error Update: In response to Solar Armour’s statement that the fault was “earth leakage indicating DC insulation damage,” this has since been proven incorrect. The issue was a battery fault, confirmed and resolved by the battery manufacturer, who replaced the unit at no additional cost. The only expense on our side was the standard removal and re‑installation fee — a fraction of what we would have paid had we followed Solar Armour’s recommended works. Getting a second opinion was absolutely the right decision, and it’s disappointing that the initial diagnosis was wholey inaccurate.

My dad had dementia and he had an idea that he needed solar panels, he put down a deposit and I called the company in two days after realising what he had done and cancelled it and asked for the deposit back and told them my dad dad dementia and couldn’t afford it. I was told it would go to the finance team and get sorted but it never did! We have been trying to get his deposit back for the last year with no luck and will sadly have to take it further. It’s really disappointing that they took advantage of a man that was vulnerable.

Can't recommend solar armour enough, from start to finish it’s been a smooth journey! Wayne was very knowledgeable on our first appointment and made us feel comfortable with our decisions. Fit was completed in one day and already see the savings. Thank you solar armour.

Well …what can I say the complete experience from start to finish was great , Robert visited us , told us all about the product , we arranged a date for the surveyor Mark to call , he explained in more detail about the system and done the necessary measurements to make sure that installation would go smoothly ..which I did , Matt and his team arrived on the day as agreed and worked well and completed the installation within the day like we was told , all external cabling was disguised as per our requirements to reduce any impact to the external view of the property, after sales service was very good too from Mark , as there was a couple bits I didn’t understand, we were very satisfied with the service above that we then purchased an additional storage battery , which they supplied and Matt installed and commissioned again on the day as agreed , would definitely recommend Solar Armour to anyone looking to purchase a solar panel system or any additional items ..A1 company

They are very forceful on the selling side they are very bad at communication, when they say call back they don't everything isthing want ia. Email mine all went to junk mail plus asked for £250 for.Survey When the other Companies are free plus they guy who came over to do survey doesn't very pushy. So, basic don't let this company do the work very bad.

Great when purchasing but terrible after completely ignoring calls emails constant problems as miss sold us on what we actually wanted to what was needed my advice stay well clear Was great in beginning but when I became more up on the system and what we needed it was clear it wasn’t what we got. Once we was out of 12 month period have been completely ignored I feel if we had purchased their monthly instalment plan it may be different but hard to give a company any more money that has performed so bad when you need them. They still don’t even have the correct information on our installation after many attempts to get it updated. I feel our system is installed in the wrong place and our installers didn’t have the knowledge to do the job properly for longevity You employ a so called expert to do a job and they let you down and then treat you terribly for questioning them FOLLOW UP I HAVE HAD THE SYSTEM INSPECTED BY A PROPER COMPANY AND REGARDLESS OF WHAT SOLOR ARMOUR ARE SAYING IT IS MISSING VITAL SAFETY FEATURES WHICH CAN BE SEEN FROM THEIR INSTALLATION PICTURES ALSO BATTERIES ARE NIT SECURED. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND AVOID THESE BLAGARDS

Solar Armour installation was carried out in a professional fashion after the initial site survey we were given information on what to expect on the day of fitting. Matt and his team were very thoughtful and after on site discussions our cables were located with minimal cable visibility. Battery was located to our satisfaction with inverter, this company listened to our requests and answered all of our questions. Site was left clean and tidy, great job.

Professional installation. They will guide you through every step of the process and deliver excellent workmanship. My house configuration included i've installed 2 Tesla powerwall batteries (one main, one expansion pack), 8 solar panels and a Hypervolt EV charger. Also, prices are quite compelling and comparable with the rest of the market.

Had an addition to my existing solar system, as my property faces east/west, only catching the sun in the afternoon when it comes out at the back, where the older panels are situated, so I decided to have another 10 panels added to the system on the front of the house, and also an upgrade to the battery system, to which in the event of a power cut, I have full power coverage over whole house. The work was carried out by Solar Armour Ltd, well impressed with their work and would highly recommend them, good after sales service as well. Update; just had another 13.5kw battery installed, giving me a total storage capacity of 27kw, plus a Solar iBoost fitted for heating my hot water system, hopefully reducing the cost of my gas bill, another great job done by the team.👍

Solar Armour have been an excellent company for me. They corrected a fault with my panels, after a number of month trying to get someone to do this. They installed TIGO to connect my panels independently. They have also added a battery onto my solar panel system. Very easy to deal with and are very helpful.

What a great job Solar Armour do.

Went with Solar Armour as a good sales pitch and wanted to improve the energy efficiency of our home. The guys doing the installation were very good and helpful, however this is where the issues began. During the installation they left a roof tile lifted - come the rain and we have water damage to both our roof, into one of our bedrooms and to the rendering out the front of the house. Called to ask them to come and fix this - promised several times that someone would come out to inspect, no show 3 times having waited in for them!! Finally said they'd send someone out to fix the above problems - not a trained person in any of these fields, just an oddjob man - yet again, nothing happened! During the install they also installed bird caging but instead of doing it the whole way round to ensure no gaps, they left a nice gap between our old and new panels which has now meant we have 20+ pigeons inhabiting our roof under the panels, pooing all over our car, garden and roof constantly. Again, asked them to come out and sort this as was promised during the install and yet again, absolutely nothing. Aftersales and care has been absolutely terrible and if nothing occurs we will have to start a legal claim.

For approximately 3-4 weeks this company keeps calling trying to sell me solar panels. They say they got my details from an enquiry form that went to many companies. I have not looked for solar panels. That aside I repeatedly say remove my details and stop calling and I block the number. I am not interested in getting solar panels. The woman on the phone just hangs up and calls back a few days - a week later from a different number. I am going to report this to Trading Standards as it's unacceptable. I'm leaving this review because yet again the woman called and hung up mid sentence to me asking her to stop calling and remove my details.

GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT COMPANY, GREAT PRICE We were unsure about whether to retro-fit battery storage. The Solar Armour team took the time to answer our queries before we committed to the battery. After we decided to proceed, they immediately scheduled a technical survey and soon after, the installer fitted the system in less than a day. From searches, I had found a few battery storage companies that had very good reviews for their installation and post-installation service. However, there were question marks about the level of after-care from the actual manufacturers of their products. Solar Armour fitted a 5.2 kW battery made by GivEnergy. I had found good reviews of the product and the manufacturer's aftercare. After originally installing Solar in 2013, we suffered from serious issues - such as the system not working for 2 years. It had been very painful - and expensive - to get the system up and running again. After that experience, we were determined to go with a company which is HIES-registered - like Solar Armour. The HIES registration is effectively a third-party warranty, which gives us added peace of mind.I would strongly recommend Solar Armour. Their service as installer has been professional. They have always responded to emails, phone calls etc. promptly. Further, they provide an excellent product. The GivEnergy battery has a fantastic app. You can easily see when the battery is charging. It's rewarding to see the mix of energy from solar/battery/the grid etc. Solar Armour's prices are extremely competitive.

We were naturally sceptical about using a unknown comany but from the first meeting our worries started to fade away. The presentation by the salesman was excellent, I should know as I have spend my whole working life in sales some 60 years and happily retired now. No pressure was applied just gentle positive reasons given to say yes which we did and went to the next stage a survey which secured the deal. The installation followed and went very well with excellent standard of workmanship. Questions answered and then the final bit all the paperwork came. In my opinion Solar Armour are one if not the best independent comany in the competitive market maybe not the cheapest but valus for money.

Considering solar installers are the next double glazing salesmen with every other advert on social media giving incorrect solar offers. “For free” etc. I was very worried about being sold something that wouldn’t fulfil our needs. My install was very complex (listed property multiple inverters, long cable runs, ground mounted array) and when the salesman came he admitted it very quickly that this was out of his depth and organised a site survey from the installing electrician. Solar armour was the only company that listened to what I required then quoted. Since then I have got my head around the tech and have asked them back to fill in the gaps. I have referred Solar Armour to others. Only negative is the fact it was not the cheapest. But as the saying goes “You get what you pay for”

A representative from Solar Armour, Ltd company made an appt with me to present how solar would work at my home. I waited for the representative and no one ever showed up. 3 days later I received an email with an attachment which contained a quote for any house - not my house since no one from your company had attended. No explanation for my questions. No conversation of where & how the panels would be installed on my house. If this is how your company treats a potential client during the period where you are trying to get my business - it is not the type of business I would trust.
