Tarven replaced my old GivEnergy system with a new SigEnergy battery, inverter, EV charger and failover system. They have been utterly professional from start to finish, going above and beyond to support us. When GivEnergy went into administration they supported us through the process giving us helpful advice and options. For the EV charger they investigated options to fit our very specific needs and overall tailored a solution to our specifications. Their quote was very detailed and transparent. On the day they were polite and helpful and were even kind enough to wait and help load the old battery into the collector’s car. They left everything immaculate. Exceptional service, highly recommended.
Tarven have recently installed 13 solar panels and a Sigenstor 10 battery for my house. Communication was great from start to finish and they have completed an excellent job that looks as good as it performs. I would definitely recommend Tarven to others who want solar panels/batteries installed

Tarven installed my solar panels/ battery system 3 years ago and it has performed flawlessly. Unfortunately, this has not been a very encouraging start to what should be a professional working relationship. I have been unable to obtain the proposal I requested in writing, and I have also been unable to get hold of anyone to discuss it directly. For me, it is important to work with a company that can be relied upon to deliver both a high standard of workmanship and clear communication throughout the process. If there are difficulties at this initial stage, it does not inspire confidence that communication and support will be available later down the line once the work has been completed.

Excellent service and work carried out on fitting 14 panels and a large battery at my home. The battery is quieter than my computer fan and the panels were giving us power immediately after the switch on. Wish I had them fitted years ago! Big thank you to Jake and his team for a professional & efficient fitting even with the curveballs my roof threw at them (tiles like biscuits!). The installation was well managed from initial quote to final commissioning. All the staff were professional, hard working and a pleasure to have on site. The site itself when they left was cleaner than when they arrived. My wife and I have no hesitation to recommend Tarven to others for similar work.
In total I engaged four companies to provide quotes for a solar system. One didn’t turn up twice. One was going to subcontract the installation. The other two were local companies who both provided a really good personal service. Tarven led by Jake covered every base, onsite inspection with a drone camera, detailed quote, competitive quote. They listened to what I wanted and won the bid. Two weeks later my installation is complete and I am receiving solar power into my home. The whole team were professional, courteous and respectful. They provide an insurance based warranty and as a family based company a real commitment to their customers. I have nothing but praise for them throughout the entire process.
Wow, to much to say... So, I would highly recommend Tarven. They are very professional, answering straight away to all of your questions, matching up your needs. The system I got from them was around £9000, let me tell you what...one of their competitors, (I won't name it... EON 🤣), for a system with 2 panels less and half the battery capacity, they were asking £19000. So I'm not joking when I'm saying that Tarven and it's team are looking after you. What else can I say... They assist me through the whole process, not letting me down and scared asking myself, "Do I do this right? Is this the right move? Is this the right choice?" They are there for you. They gave me all the necessary documents, they work efficient, tidy, carefull and smart. Don't let the young team of Tavern to slip away, this is the company you want to do business with. I would love to see more businesses like them, professional, prompt, and trustworthy. Great service. I contacted the team regarding an issue with my GivEnergy system, as my original installer no longer works with GivEnergy and was unable to provide support. The Tarven Solar Energy team attended promptly, diagnosed the problem efficiently, and resolved it on site. I am very pleased with the service and would highly recommend them.
Tarven Solar Energy helped to instal a Tesla wall connector last January. The installation itself went smoothly although we were unable to use the device, because it was faulty. Jake at Tarven, sprang up immediately and sent a message to Tesla and stayed in torch throughout the back and forth with Tesla support. We got a replacement device and Tony at Tarvem organised a swap put within minutes of being made aware. The device was recommissioned today and works perfectly. Great service, highly recommended and we'd definitely use Tarven again. We got in touch with Jake to organise the relocating of some of our solar panels due to building work. Jake was quick to respond to my enquiry and the team sent to do the work were helpful and professional. Fred in particular was brilliant even though it poured with rain the whole time he worked. We did encounter a small issue which I raised with Jake, he dealt with it quickly and politely and the job was finished to our total satisfaction.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tarvan Electrical installed a solar panel array and battery system for me, along with a couple of smaller electrical jobs. They were excellent from start to finish, from the initial phone call and clear quotation to turning up exactly when they said they would. The scaffold went up on Tuesday, the installation was completed by Thursday, and everything was down again on Friday. Super efficient, well organised, and the work itself was done neatly and with real care. Everything was explained clearly, with no upselling, just straightforward advice and solid workmanship. They left the place tidy and were a pleasure to deal with throughout. Reliable, professional, and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Tarven Electrical and would happily use them again.

Excellent job. Pleased to support a local company that is doing a good job. Site visit quickly arranged and fitted home EV charger within a few days. As a new EV driver my anxieties have been charging and not range anxiety but Tarven Solar have resolved this problem. No more worries about going to the local EV charging point. Guys worked efficiently and tidily and my concerns about problems with our electrical supply were unfounded. Clear explanation of the app and the use of the charger before they left with the required certification by the end of the day. Professional and prompt, from enquiry to installation. I wanted two additional 3kw batteries. I contacted the company who installed my solar units (Nov 2025), I knew price wise what I should be paying, and the company wanted double. I searched and found Tarven, I called on a Saturday afternoon, my call was answered and the ball was rolling. This is an investment as utility prices will continue to increase and now I have plenty of stored electricity to power my home, and in the winter I can charge the batteries during my off peak rate and a fraction of the standard cost. All the team at Tarven are polite, professional and give a quality service.

All paperwork done in a timeline manner and Jake has been very helpful in setting up the app and explaining how everything works.
I got a solar panels system + battery installed from Tarven. I think that Excellent is probably the right word to describe Tarven in all aspects!! They gave me lots of inputs when I was exploring the options at the beginning. Then they matched all my requirements when I got the offer (others were recommending other options despite my requests or just abandoned me) and they kindly sent me a follow up at the time I asked. The installation was exactly on time and they did a great job, working in a way that made us really happy. Everything was tidy and clean when they finished. I got all documents and explanations about how to proceed with a couple of things in the admin. And Jake is really responsive and always available for questions and support!! Finally, the price I paid is fair. And my system is great! They are a relatively small family business, but trust me when I say that I rarely experienced such a good service from a contractor, so I strongly recommend Tarven. Very happy with all aspects of the work carried out by James and his team. Prior to any work being done I had texted (outside of work hours) a number of questions relating to my battery storage. I received replies within an hour, which was amazing. He came to my house the following day and made changes to my battery storage and didn’t charge (£). I asked for a quote for solar panels and install to further improve my properties efficiency. I was happy with the quote and a date was agreed. The work was carried out to a high standard. The scaffolding was arranged by James and they were excellent too. Everyone who came to my house to work where very pleasant and easy to get on with. I would happily recommend them.

Jake is a top guy, patient and willing to build a bespoke solution to fit my esoteric needs, we now have a brand new three phase board and solar and battery system. Absolutely brilliant. I chose the company initially as they are local, do not use subcontractors and their panels etc are all British. However they were still comparatively priced, customer service was great, and the professionals that installed the panels were really good. On the whole a really good experience. I really shopped around and knew what I wanted, Jake and his team were fabulous, they ticked all the boxes.

If only I had gone to Tarven Electrical to start with. I had a BIG problem with original solar and battery installers supplying MCS cert but no DNO paperwork, two years in fact for MCS. Got in touch with Tarven who arrange a retrospective application in the space of just a few days. Could not fault their professionalism, efficiency of communications. Would highly recommend.

I've had my battery+solar system from Tarven for over a year now, and and say it has performed reliably. Jake was a great communicator and responsive from the start. He involved me in the choice of components where I wanted to get involved, his team were all friendly and considerate. I can also say that after the system was up and running Jake was still very responsive when I wanted to get hold of some documents a year later - a good sign.
Tarven installed solar panels on our house in July 2023 after answering many extensive questions from ourselves. They did a great job - they were friendly and timely and also organised the scaffolding to be up longer so that we could have some roof works done prior to installation. Would use them again in the future for further works.
Jake was great. He clearly explained what system would work on my house, was very flexible working around builders schedules during my renovation, making the whole process very stress free. He was also considerably more reassuring to deal with than other companies who quoted for me. Very happy with my panels mounted on the seams of my zinc roof as well as the inverter and battery. We had solar panels installed on the roof of our house recently including a battery and car charger by Tarven Electrical. Jake and his team did a great job, even getting the job done during the extreme weather. His team even helped push us out of the snow twice without hesitation! We're really pleased with the install and genuinely surprised on the power generated even during the shortest days. From the moment Jake came round to carry out the no pressure quote to the time the job was finished Jake kept in touch to make sure we were happy with everything and to advise the next steps to take during the process, including arranging the structural survey and advising on how to arrange the export tariff. Once installed someone came round to explain how the system worked and then all the certification and handover docs followed. Jake went out of his way to make sure everything was the way we wanted it and kept in contact the whole way through. He made us feel like we could always reach out if we had any issues which has been great. Out of all the companies who quoted for the job Tarven were by far the most personal experience and you really feel like they value your custom and you're not just a number. Jake's team were great (Sam, Sam & Luke), the scaffolding guys arrived Thursday, the Tarven arrived Friday at 8am, worked through until it had gone dark (and through the rain), arrived back again Saturday at 8am, all done by 1pm, scaffold down Monday, great job, a real professional installation, neat and tidy, Jake came and set up the app and explained how it all worked, already producing good returns despite being the beginning of December, highly recommended, thanks Jake and the team at Tarven Electrical.

I was really pleased with the service received from Tarven. We had solar panels and batteries fitted in May 2023. Jake attended our property to check the house before giving a quote. Some companies use drones, which I didn’t trust. We got excellent references from previous customers. They are a local company, which I think is important. The work was booked in as soon as they had space, it was done to a high standard, everyone was polite, arrived on time and got the work finished quickly. It looks neat and tidy, works really well. We have an app to monitor the energy being generated by the panels and how much the batteries are charged. Any issues I know I can speak to Jake but actually we’ve not really had to speak to Jake much after the work was completed. Highly, highly recommend.
Quick responses and excellent arrangement all the time from Jake since our 1st conversation. The Installers (Sam & Ethan) are friendly and patiently give me guidance on set-up/using the EV charger, their on-time arrival is also appreciated. It is important to have reliable Electricians around and the Tarven Team is definitely my recommendation.
One of the big problems with electricians and electrical company's is to get them to respond to requests to do work for the domestic consumer. Not so with Tarven Solar Energy who have just fitted a battery system at home. Telephone calls, texts and emails were responded to immediately and the whole process took no more than three weeks. The work was efficiently completed to a high standard, and all the certification promptly sent. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Tarven have just completed the installation of the following works - 6 x 400w Suntech panels half-cell all black Solar PV Panels - 1 x Sunsynk 5.5kw hybrid Inverter - 1 x Sunsynk ESS 5.12KWH, 2 x Sunsynk 5.2KWH additional batteries - Zappi EV Charger with solar compatibility. Work was carried out very professionally and the team were very friendly and helpful. The system is working as specified as on our initial meeting and I cannot fault their work. Having been trained in electrical engineering and electronics (many moons ago) before moving into IT I generally know what to look for in an electrical installation. Jake and his team are the best company I have dealt with and I thoroughly recommend them. I was looking to add a second solar array to my house. After responding to a local advert Jake came around and we discussed the various options. It was very apparent he knew his trade extremely well, so I expanded the scope to include the option of a battery system as well. I was given a number of quotation options at competitive prices which I was happy with. Jake dealt with the required G99 paperwork (Which another installer had said I would need to deal with before he would do anything) and that was authorised by the DNO in a matter of weeks. The installation was booked in for early February, a wait of about 6 weeks that covered Christmas. The project was led by Luke who was excellent. Easy to talk with, very knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Luke was joined by Connor, an apprentice getting on the job training who provided invaluable extra hands. It is great to see small companies investing in their staff - a bit of a rarity these days. With the solar panels installed on the first day, the second day was taken up with wiring and configuration. Sam and another apprentice joined Luke on the second day. They installed and configured the inverter while the rest on the wiring was done by Luke and Connor (who spent many hours in my loft). I had some specific requirements with the installation which the team worked with me and dealt with very well. Jake popped round on the second day to ensure all was going well. Final testing and certification was done by Jake the following day. If you can find a builder you trust, a plumber you trust, a mechanic you trust and an electrician you trust you're ok. Tarven Electrical Contractors Limited complete the quad for me.

Decided to install solar panels with battery, we got quotes from three companies. Tarven was our clear preference. They inspected our property and measured up and was we were very impressed with the report they provided showing the solar panel layout etc. The team done a brilliant job, looks great and were all so professional, friendly and helpful and explained everything clearly and always got back straight away with any questions we had. Ignore of any cost. They send a quote for wrong house with out surveyed the property and when you notify them that want to cancel installation of solar panels well before any work is done and before anyone have come to property they refuse to pay back the deposit and lie that they need to use money for UKPN notification what is not possible with out survey the property and design the system for my needs using energy bills and applying for RECC first to check the system. And contract was sent with wrong name as well
We have used Tarven Electrical Contractors a couple of times, the service is excellent they always arrive promptly. I have no reservations about recommending them for any type of electrical work.
A very punctual and competitive quote was given to put an electrical socket on a stud wall in our master bedroom. A polite and punctual guy called Sam was at the door at 8:05am ready to install. I was told a few holes would need to be made good after the install, but he's patched the holes as you'd expect, and will make it easy to repair the wall. I would 100% recommend Tarven Electrical, and will be sending more work their way in the future!

Tavern electrical contractors have done a great job installing 2 new sockets and replacing precious sockets with thinner back boxes. They provided a quote same day and had a date booked in to complete the work within a week, would have been sooner, but had they were able to fit around my work schedule. I was kept updated all through the job and the house was left clean and tidy before they left. Highly recommended and would definitely use again.
I found Jake during a web search for a NICEIC qualified electrician. His response to view job was prompt and his approach was professional. Jake installed my new Consumer unit. I found him very painstaking and he demonstrated good knowledge of the job. Subsequently I engaged him to install my Zappi EV charger. From ordering to installation to finish, he was professional punctual, reliable , and kept me informed of every step of the work.. He was transparent with his purchases, his pricing was quite reasonable. His company has done other electrical jobs within and around the home, changing sophisticated light lamps and switches.etc I am very happy to have found him.He is a pleasant friendly person who enjoys his work and aims for customers satisfaction.For me his work is simply EPIC.
Had the pleasure of dealing with an employee who was great given the circumstances as I empathised with the fact he had worked 4 jobs in the morning before coming to my site. I decided to assist him through the job. The task was to install a Smart home panel with supporting instructions. The issue arose with the 'Director's phone call to me regarding the billable hours, the job uncompleted and a messy wiring consumer unit. I asked 'the director' to write a technical note to the manufacturer of the panel. I felt it was a poorly written explanation that will enable the problem to be properly diagnosed and I had to recall and write up what the employee had reported. I wont deal with this company because they took a task bigger than they could manage and proceeded to deny touching my consumer unit upon further investigation. Perhaps they can install EV chargers but for anything else, I can’t recommend. Additional note: No company, large or small should be in the business of creating falsehoods. If you read closely to the company's response, you will find an admittance of incompetence. Not to propagate this further but a follow-up can be found in my second review.

I came across Tarven via a web search. Jake was excellent at responding to my original requests and provided good advice and guidance. The installation of the charging unit went very smoothly. The team were excellent, they arrived on time, were friendly, helpful and professional. There was a small issue with pairing the charger and the app (no fault of Tarven) but this was quickly sorted out with a call to Zappi and a brief return visit. I would have no hesitation in using Tarven again or in recommending them.

I’ve used Tarven services for the installation of my first ever EV charger. Read quite a lot before this and understood the complexities of the installation. From the survey to the completed installation, I found Tarven very professional and extremely responsive. The quote was clear and it was true over a month later. They were on time (even 30 mins early for the prep), well mannered and listened carefully to my requirements and questions. Job was completed in just over two hours as it entailed some extra work for a quite challenging cable route. After waiting 3 weeks for a major energy company to even acknowledge my EV Charger installation request, I contacted Tarven and spoke to Jake. Within two days he had organised a site visit, provided a quote and confirmed an installation date in early March. This was very important to me as the deadline for Gov EV grants was ending on 31 March 2022. Jake was helpful, personable, efficient and technically knowledgeable. Being a bit of a know it all, I thought I had worked out exactly what I wanted for the installation of my Zappi2 EV charger but Jake’s implementation advice was invaluable. Jake arrived on time as promised and completed the installation within 90 minutes. We had an overview session on using the MyEnergi App so that I felt comfortable using this and the charger. Having been previously let down by so many contractors it really was a refreshing experience to use Jake on this work and I will happily use him / Tarven again as they have shown themselves to be organised and trustworthy.
Jake and the team at Tarven have been exceptional. Everything from the quoting process (quick turnaround with itemised breakdowns) to the EV home charger install and other electrical works in the kitchen was carried out smoothly, on time, on budget and with minimal mess. Jake also coordinated with UK power networks to have our fuse replaced. Excellent job done by Sam and Jake. I had a kitchen extractor put in by them. Had enquired with a number of electrical contractors before I came across Jake and they had all quoted exorbitant prices and some outright refused to take a look as our kitchen set up was a bit different to the standard ones. Jake upon receiving enquiries asked for a few pics and gave me an idea as to how he could put the fan and the work involved. He was able to work with the product of my choice. Price was very reasonable. When it came to carrying out the work, Sam did an excellent job and even helped with a n unrelated task and didnt charge me for it! A couple of days after the installation there was a minor issue that Jake promptly attend to and fixed without charging me a penny. Excellent service mindedness! Affordable! Value for money! Jake installed an EV charger for us. He is friendly with a positive attitude, provided a very competitive quote for the job, and was quick to respond to various follow up questions by email following his initial visit. The installation was not straightforward because our consumer unit and meter are in the centre of the house. To reach the garage it was necessary to thread the cable through the void under the ground floor, navigating through more than one internal supporting wall as well as the external house wall which abuts the garage. The result was a very tidy installation with no external cabling. We are very pleased with the outcome and would definitely contact Tarven for any future electrical work that we require.
I’m really happy I’ve chosen Tavern Limited. I needed ev charger but wasn’t sure how connection could be done as my fuse box is deep inside house, quite far away from driveway. Jake sorted it out very quickly by advising meter box as a connection place with an extra protection to be installed. He offered ev charger which fits my front of house very well. I booked the day, 3 weeks later, he is extremely busy( which means he does good work). On the day he was at time. 2 hours later job was done. He helped me to connect ev charger to my WiFi and now I can enjoy my Renault Zoe to be charged at home. As I know he does everything electrical at home so if any problems at home I definitely call Jake. Thanks

Jake installed new hob and oven in my rented property. He contacted me shortly after i submitted the job in MyBuilder with both quote and date for doing it.
