I called Surrey Solar Ltd today to enquire about a possible repair needed for our inverter which was showing an error code. Gary very kindly walked me through some trouble shooting steps to see if that would clear it and has continued to provide me with guidance over the next steps. My experience so far has been extremely positive, and should the error not clear, and the original installer not be able to help, Surrey Solar will be my first call.

Gary has looked after all our family’s electrical needs, on 4 properties, for many years. So when he said he would be handling solar installations as well, we were delighted. Our home has an older solar system, which we knew would need his expertise at some stage. Sure enough, the old inverter failed and Gary carefully researched the best replacement for quality, price and efficiency. As a result we’re now enjoying a noticeable yield improvement without changing the spec for the system, thus maintaining our FiT agreement. The job was completed by Gary and Harry in no time at all and we’re thrilled to bits.

Gary was excellent after roofers disconnected and incorrectly reconnected my elderly dad's solar panels, causing them to burn out. He quickly diagnosed the problem, undid previous bad work by another company and, after finding the problem worse than originally thought, cleared space in his diary and did additional work at cost. He kept me well informed throughout and was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Gary, and his son Harry, recently did a great job installing solar panels and batteries to our house. The after-care provided has been great - good tidying up after the scaffold came down and help given to us to understand the app which monitors our panels. Gary’s experience as an electrician was really beneficial as he picked up on electrical work that needed to be done prior to installation. This was missed by three other potential contractors. Being local to us has enabled Gary to pop in to make minor adjustments and to ensure that everything is working properly.

Gary and his Surrey Solar team have just completed a substantial Solar Project for our Village Hall in Woking. We are delighted with how Surrey Solar delivered this for us, we have a first class ‘works first time out of the box’ System. Brilliant! We wanted to enhance our green footprint at the Hall to add to our in situ Air Source Pumps. More importantly, we wanted to protect ourselves against spiralling energy costs so that we don’t have to pass price increases on our users who are having challenging times themselves. Surrey Solar were fantastic at spending time with us to understand the best fit for us: cost v benefit, scalability for future enhancement, System maintenance on-costs v quality and whole life of products alongside interfaces with the Grid for input and output tariffs with installation ideas and opportunities that allowed us to sustain real time operations. Gary spent time with the Trustees to explain the System dynamics and the components that best suited our specification. He communicated really well throughout the Project with regular checks to make sure that our expectations were being met. We had a professional, friendly and trust worthy relationship through out. There were never any problems, just options, ideas and solutions! The Trustees were delighted with the quality of the work. Gary put so much effort into how the work was completed, the cabling routes and the installation and ‘finishing’ of the primary inverter, PV Panels and Batterie are of the best order. Asked for a quote and agreed to do so as I had been burnt by cowboys before. Gary attended and agreed to quote so I could present this to my credit card company. He said he would quote over the weekend(if he disputes this I will upload a screenshot as proof) I then get a message on the weekend (5 days later) that he now will charge me for a quote… as for ‘insurance purposes’ .. if this is what we had agreed this is one thing but we had already agreed and he had , to quote for no cost . He has now delayed my dealing with the previous cowboys.. buy smelling the opportunity for profit it seems to me.
