Fortis Electrical & Renewables

John and his team installed an EV charger at my place and inspected the electric installation. Everything was thoroughly explained and their quote request system is very easy to complete. Great service! Thank you!

John and his team have been amazing to work with. We had them do the solar and battery installation on our self-build, but things went so well that they ended up doing the entire 1st and 2nd fixes for us. It was a complicated build, and they were patient, working with us deal with problems and schedule conflicts along the way. Can't thank and recommend them enough!

Just had a charger fitted, what an excellent experience from ordering to installation.

I hired Fortis for a solar install and couldn't be happier. John and his crew arrived exactly on time and was very professional. Took the time to explain the issue and provided a fair quote upfront. Work was completed efficiently, and they left the area spotless. Most importantly, I felt confident in the safety of the work. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable electrician

Thank you John & your team for an amazing job installing our solar panels. A job well done. John kept us informed & double checked where we wanted the wiring to go. Luke did a brilliant job installing the battery & explaining how the app worked at the end of the job.

They installed a 14 solar panels inverter and battery system. Fortis are quick and clean and tidy company. All paperwork completed on time and DNO informed. I have no problems recommending John and his team. For reference the system has been in 6 months and I have not no faults at all.

Excellent customer service. John and his team were very friendly and proficient from start to the finish. They take care with the roof installations and readily available for any troubleshooting or queries. The handover of warranties and compliance certificates is provided in a very concise and well-organised document. Would not hesitate in recommending their service to anyone else looking at Solar PV battery systems. What set them really apart is not trying to oversell or push for business. Good listening and trying to provide a bespoke solution to the household/ business needs.

Honestly not sure what more you could want, especially for the price. Hard working lads and great customer service from start to finish. Would recommended!

We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out by Fortis Electrical. The roof-integrated solar panels look absolutely brilliant (a really neat job) and we're amazed at how much electricity we're already saving. John, Luke and Matthew were so polite and professional, with great communication throughout. The quote seemed good value, with no hidden extras. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone thinking of installing solar panels. We don't actually have an electric car yet, but decided to have an EV charger installed for future use (our choice, not upsold!). A definite 10/10, thank you.

Fortis were a great company to work with. Gave excellent advice regarding the design of the solar and battery system, with timely and efficient installation. Equipment works perfectly and the site was left clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

John and his team made this installation painless and took care of everything for us. Great service up to install (and great aftercare) and we are looking at expanding our solar at our site in the isle of wight. Highest recommendation as possible!

Excellent as always. We use John and his team on all of our projects. From complete house installations to solar. A pleasure to deal with!

Having thoroughly researched my requirements for a grid tied hybrid inverter and battery system I consulted many local and national installers, John was the only contractor who took the time to listen to me and advise me on my choice of sizing, type of equipment and installation, John was not pushy in anyway and definitely did not oversell, which I really appreciated. From start to completion of the installation John and his team were very efficient, technically knowledgeable, on-time, kept me informed of progress and the team were very polite, neat and tidy. I would have no hesitation to call Fortis for my future projects and would highly recommend their service.

John & his team were outstanding well established local company you can rely on.

Luke’s attendance can be described in 5 words - polite, punctual, thorough, considerate, efficient

Very efficient and polite, Couldn't really be faulted. Turned up on time and got on with the job. I'm very happy with the product so far

John and his team did an excellent job with my PV and battery installation. John was generous with his time before I ordered, answering all my questions, both technical and aesthetic. He gave some good advice and was not at all pushy on the sales side. A nice change from some of the companies that quoted me. Installation was done within the agreed time and everything delivered as I was expecting. I would highly recommend Fortis and will use them again when I expand my system.

I am very pleased with the solar panels and batteries that John and his team installed. I got a detailed quotation which set out the equipment that was included and didn’t get a hard sell on upgrading items. The work by Luke and Matthew was installed quickly, professionally and with no problems. They consulted on the installation options so that I was kept informed and could select what I wanted. Highly recommended.

I very highly recommend Fortis. Their work was top notch. I contacted several companies about installing solar panels and a battery system and only Fortis actually engaged with me and discussed the requirements in detail. The sales process was excellent and the installation experience first class. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and very accommodating. I would definitely use them again.

After doing extensive research I was very pleased to find a local company with excellent reviews. John is very knowledgeable about many of the systems available on the market. After discussing the various options available I decided on a small solar array of Jinko Solar Tiger panels with Solar Edge inverters, coupled with two Tesla Power Wall batteries and a Wallbox EV charger. His installation team is excellent, very polite and friendly. All their work was expertly performed and I am very happy with the installation and that I am now getting very small energy bills. I was also impressed with John’s pricing as he was able to compete with the bigger national installers and beat their prices for the same equipment. I can see why they have had so many excellent reviews and I have no hesitation in recommending Fortis Electrical and would give them 6 stars if I could.

Excellent experience. The installation of our solar panels and car charger was seamless. Out of four potential installers, John was the only one who noticed our old looped supply and assisted us with the necessary upgrade. He and his team were professional, polite, and tidy. They did an excellent job and were always ready to answer our questions. We are extremely satisfied with the service and highly recommend Fortis to anyone seeking a professional installer.

John and his team did a fantastic job installing a solar + battery storage system. At quote stage we were extremely impressed by John's approach - diligent and attentive without being pushy at all. The installation was carried out and completed on time to a very high standard by John and his team, who were polite and worked extremely tidily at all times. I would very highly recommend Fortis to anyone requiring any electrical work at home.

Very good professional local team.

The work was carried out efficiently and with care. The operatives showed respect to us and our property.

First class service by John and the whole team at Fortis; they went the extra mile and more.

John and his team at Fortis are absolutely first class. It's a seriously good operation that John runs. They recently completed a PV and Tesla powerwall installation for clients of ours in Barnes. Brilliant service throughout the presale process, install was fantastic and the clients were absolutely delighted. Excellent after sales support. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending. Thanks John and the team - looking forward to the next one. Oli

I spoke with 5 other solar installers, and Fortis stood out: 1 - John was very knowledgeable and made himself available throughout the quotation process, including coming out to do a site visit to discuss options (which simply can’t happen over email or phone) to give me the confidence before I made any financial commitment. 2 - Fortis were very flexible in their design, happy to offer the number of panels, battery locations, array locations etc. that suited me, whilst offering advice to ensure I avoided any pitfalls. 3 - They also were not limited to certain hardware manufacturers offering you both great performing items at good value you may not have heard of, with (in my case) a specific brand for the battery I wanted. This is compared to other installers saying, “sorry we don’t offer that brand...” During install: - They turned up on time and completed the job to the set timescale taking care of scaffolding and applications on my behalf - All of the Fortis team were polite, clean and tidy, and conscientious about working in my\someone’s home - The work was to a very high standard, and I never felt they were rushing or cutting corners Summary I whole heartedly recommend Fortis to anyone who needs any solar installation work. In fact, Fortis one of the very best companies I have ever engaged to do work for me in the last 25yrs! They represent great value, with John being gentleman and someone you can trust to work. In fact, where an unexpected item came up John stood by the quotation and covered the costs, which is something only the very best companies do. Thank you to John, Luke and Matt for my solar install – I am beyond pleased! . Better than all of this was the value Fortis offer is excellent. Don’t think that because they offer a super competitive quote you are working with a company that will cut corners, they exceeded my expectations their installation. Speaking of which, the install was done to the agreed schedule with the whole team very experienced, polite, clean, tidy and conscientious about working in someone’s home. Fortis came in on budget, ensuring they stuck to the quoted cost even when odd items came up which other companies I sure would try to pass on to the customer. Polite, conscientious, clean and tidy Took care of all aspects Came in on budget Easy to deal with and discuss any issues

Solar panels, battery and car charger installation. The quality of work was very good, everything installed very neatly. I am very happy to recommend John and his team.

Fortis installed a new solar electrical system of 22 solar panels with batteries on 3 roofs of the house. John visited the house to review and discuss options, was very attentive to a couple of changes that I requested during the quoting process. His installation team were superb - polite, experienced, punctual, tidy. The cabling was extremely neat. A couple of minor teething issues were quickly and efficiently sorted out, and the team followed up to make sure I was completely happy with the finished installation. I am extremely pleased with the equipment that John recommended (panels, inverter, batteries) and the way that the whole installation was performed, and have no hesitation in recommending Fortis.

John, and his team installed some solar panels, an inverter, and a battery for our property. We have been extremely impressed with every person we met from Fortis, and especially with the communication, and honest advice provided. The installation was completed in a good time also. Would definitely recommend John, and his team for others to use!

Great service - polite, quick and efficient. A really nice team!

In the ‘Wild West’ of the Solar Panel market where companies quote you silly money then start offering discounts at the least resistance to get the business, it is refreshing to find a company like Fortis who offer a detailed quote and no pressure and sensible pricing. John knows the market well and has a great website. He delivered what he promised with a great team of people. The scaffolding on our neighbours property was only there for the minimum amount of time. I would not hesitate in recommending Fortis not just for Solar Power but any other electrical works needed. Great job John and your Team

Very pleased with the solar panels, battery storage and associated equipment that Fortis Electrical have installed for me. Operatives very pleasant and professional. John the owner of the business responded very quickly to any queries and was a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend Fortis Electrical to install a solar panel system and any associated electrical work.

John and team were great to work with, quality solar and battery installation and good follow up support

Solar panels installed, as quoted and to time. Left site tidy. Would recommend.

John and his team at Fortis have just fitted a solar panel system, inverter, battery and Eddi for us.. His advice was invaluable and meant we got the system we needed. He and his colleagues were friendly, informed, always turned up when they said they would and kept us fully aware of what was happening. Most importantly, our system was fitted quickly and to the schedule that was outlined in their proposal. We would recommend Fortis Electrical wholeheartedly to anyone looking for electricians/solar panel installers .... in fact we've already recommended them to our neighbours. A 5* service.

I used John and the team for my install of Solar Panels, Inverter, Battery and Car charger. John and his team were very knowledgeable and super reliable. It was very easy having them working on my house and were always very respectful as the work was quite disruptive at times. The quality of work was fantastic with all cable runs neatly hidden and everything installed very neatly. I am very happy to recommend Fortis for all aspects of electrical work and would use them again if the need arose

Solar panels installed and car charger. Top quality service, really friendly bunch of people. Professional from start to finish.

John and his team installed EV charger and solar panels and all the other electrical paraphernalia that comes with it. They are an excellent company. All the employees are polite, friendly and professional and respected our home and our privacy. They worked very tidily and thoroughly cleared up after themselves everyday. John kept us informed of everything they were doing and consulted us on any slight alterations that had to be made from the original plan. Fortis Electrical are priced at the right level and worked to the timescales discussed. I cannot recommend the company more for electrical work and will soon be getting them back to do a few other electrical jobs that we have been putting off for years!

I had 14 Solar panels and 18Kwh of batteries installed by Fortis Electrical, as well as an EV charger and minor electrical work. I could not be happier with the service I received. My initial ideas were tested against their expert knowledge and the system was far better than I had envisaged, in the winter it has cut my electric bill over 70%. Being local was a great help, the survey was in-depth and gave me time to ask many questions, my ideas were listened too and discussed. Given it was autumn 2022 with many solar products on long back orders or new to the market, it was never a problem for them to come over in person and explain the options after suppliers let us down with shortages. It was a great help that all the ideas I discussed at the start were carried though, John did my survey and also supervised the installation, keeping me well informed for deliveries, scaffolding installation etc, the communication was excellent and with the same person all the way though. During the installation the right choices were always made and some options which I knew were decoratively right but hard to do were always chosen, which is why I took the opportunity to do some minor electrical work while they were installing the solar system. The complexity of solar surprised me, with many parts, and John handled all the paper work for me, frankly this was a godsend and speed up the installation greatly. Since the installation I have kept in touch with John, asking for advice with settings and tariff changes, and I will always use Fortis for all my electrical work, whether it is relocating the EV charger or for internal work. Recently when the battery supplier caused an issue with additional capacity, John forced them to act quickly and rectify the problem, this was four months since the installation. I could not recommend the Fortis team more, high quality, great communication and great value, personal service.

Very professional, effective and friendly service.

We used John and his team from Fortis Electrical to install our solar panel and battery system. All went very smoothly and we are now enjoying the benefits of having the system up and running. Thank you very much for making it an easy upgrade to our home. Regards Paul Marks

Fortis have just completed a Solar Panel System installation and an EV Charger installation for us. We are extremely pleased with the professionalism, quality of work, customer consideration, timeliness and friendliness of the Fortis team. Really good guys who are a pleasure to have in and around your home. We highly recommend Fortis.

We have been delighted with every aspect of the extensive work undertaken by Fortis on our property. Thus has included the specification, supply and installation of solar panels (including arranging scaffolding,) electric car charger, power inverter and battery storage. Communications have been good throughout from system design, arranging deliveries and undertaking the work itself which has been done to a high standard. John Betchley and his colleagues have been a pleasure to work with and are highly recommended.

John and his team installed solar photo-voltaic panels on my roof and the associated inverter and battery in my garage. They were punctual, polite and friendly, explained what they were doing and were happy to answer questions. They were hard-working and adaptable and finished slightly quicker than anticipated. I would highly recommend them.
