We needed 3 separate Baxi boilers servicing and after checking prices found Mayne Heating to be extremely reasonable and available within a couple of days. Justin arrived on time, very professional, friendly with many years of expertise. We needed some worn seals replacing and he was able to pop out to collect these and finish the job the same day making sure we did not lose hot water overnight. Highly recommend.

Yet again 5 star service from this gas plumbing business - in brief we had a heating system failure which turned out to be a downstairs leak, they came out very quickly and when it was diagnosed as a larger job they fitted it in on a Friday, offering a very reasonable quote for a large job - re-routing the heating via the upstairs piping with minimal disruption and mess. Great service, completed promptly and they continue to turn up when they say they will! Update January 2026 Gazco gas fire repair Our 19 year old Gazco gas fire was starting to fail intermittently, resulting in a call out to Mayne Gas Heating in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. They attended promptly following my call and the engineer was able to effect a temporary fix, resulting in it mostly working during the coldest week of the UK winter (-7 at times), for which I was grateful. They advised it was likely to fail completely, and recommended replacement of the ignition and thermocouple, of which one was available from the OEM and one was a generic part - repair was authorised as the better alternative and booked in for within the week following parts’ arrival. The engineer came on time, was respectful of my home and got to work quickly, having to modify the generic part so it could be fitted. The fire not only now works but seems to operate more efficiently than it had been for some time, I have waited almost a week to see if it continued and it now works as good as originally. I am very pleased with their work, price, promptness and care taken, and hope it lasts another 19 years!
My boiler which had been quoted as "beyond economic repair" by another company was fixed at a reasonable cost in an efficient and timely manner. Will definitely use them again!
I cannot fault Mayne Gas Heating, following our recent boiler installation. Our first visit was from Darren, for a survey and quote, very helpful and received quote same day. The two guys who came to install the boiler were excellent, one was called Robert, don't know the other lads name, but very friendly and respectful. They were very conscientious, and left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommended, thank you.

We used Mayne Heating in order to have a new boiler installed. The service we received was first class throughout. From the first point of contact via the receptionist, to the completion of the job by the hard-working and knowledgeable engineers. Any questions we had, during and after, the installation, were answered fully and competently by this very pleasant team. We also received a follow up phone call the next day, to check everything was running smoothly and that we are happy with the results. We certainly are. We are planning to use Mayne Heating again in the future for further jobs. We highly recommend them.

A freezing cold day in February. No hot water or heating and water running across the kitchen floor. Called three plumbers but no reply. Tried Mayne gas and heating who answered on first ring. The very helpful young lady said she would have someone with us within the hour. Mark arrived and introduced his self on entry to the house and within minutes identified the source of the leak. He explained that he would have to remove a section of wall panelling to repair the leak and this was done so neatly we were later able to replace the panelling exactly as it was. Mark refilled the system, bled the radiators and tested the boiler until he was satisfied all was well, top man. Job done in two hours at a reasonable price. We will be using Mayne for all our plumbing and heating requirements.
Just before Christmas, we had a bodged boiler installation resulting in a gas leak and a major water leak. (A well known boiler company had subcontracted our boiler installation to 'Have a go Joe' and his dad). We got the gas leak sorted but the water leak continued after the plumber who had been sent by the company to fix the gas leak said we didn't have a water leak. Yet, water was running down the walls! Exasperated at the whole thing, I decided to try an emergency plumber instead. Despite it being the busy festive season, the Mayne team turned up within the hour to help us. It transpired that we did indeed have a water leak, as a main water pipe had been hit during the boiler installation. Reminiscent of Hercules, George from Mayne ran into our house and immediately ripped the pipes out of the wall and ceiling to stop the leak. This rapidly brought the situation under control and in the process, he heroically saved our home from further damage. Today, Mayne returned to restore the water supply to the upstairs of our property. They have taken the utmost care to not cause more damage and even cleaned up after. During what has been a horrendous couple of weeks also involving having to move into a hotel, the team from Mayne have been absolutely shining stars. Not only are they consummate professionals in their trade, but also thoroughly decent people. We are extremely lucky to have such a reputable plumbing firm in this area. Thank you to the entire Mayne team for everything you've done for us to get us back up and running. P.S. If you are comparing local plumbers or gas engineers locally, Mayne has an entire page on their website just to list all of the professional accreditations they have. The original company who installed of our boiler couldn’t even tell us if the installers were both gas safe registered! So that tells you all you need to know, including who you should be hiring for any gas or plumbing work in Grimsby or Cleethorpes (spoiler alert: Mayne!).

We had our boiler replaced and also a shower pump, the work was done to an excellent standard 👍 very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly from office staff to the workers themselves, work carried out was quick so not left without hot water and heating for long, special mention to George, lovely lad and felt at ease leaving him to do the job whilst I was out at work, we will always use Mayne from now on, highly recommend!

If Carlsberg did Gas Heating Engineers they'd be the best in the world... and probably just like Mayne Gas Heating staff!! From my initial phone call to the company about a potentially serious heating problem, Mayne couldn't have been better. The office staff were very helpful and quickly arranged an appointment for Darren to come and review the issue. The very next day he came to see us, looked at the system, explained the problem and a choice of solutions, taking the time to go through the detail. The next day a fully costed quotation arrived and a couple of additional questions from me answered. A mutually convenient date was agreed for the work to be carried out the next week and 'The A Team' duly arrived. Over the next two days the two engineers arrived on time, worked full days, explained any complications/issues that they found during the work and were generally a delight - as well as being professional and experienced staff. The work was carried out with minimal disruption and any mess was promptly cleaned up as they worked through the system. They were obviously highly experienced and qualified engineers and we were left feeling that we had our aging heating/water system was in the best shape possible - and at a cost that was excellent for the complexity of the work that had to be carried out. I have already engaged Mayne to carry out some further work and won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The two gentlemen who came and fitted the new boiler are a credit to the company. They were so lovely, polite and funny which was a tonic for my disabled husband. Fantastic from start to finish. Got a quote on the 20th Dec 23 and agreed for the work to be done first week of Jan 2024. Had new boiler and heating system fitted and up and running in 3 days. Absolutely delighted. First time using Mayne and we needed a plumber urgently to fit our new kitchen tap. Delighted customer here. Was very happy with the arrival time. Only 10 mins after the start time!! Very impressed. The fitter we had (sadly didn’t get his name 😅) was friendly and chatty. Rang them yesterday as boiler had a problem, didn't expect any turn out for a few days .I spoke to Darren and explained the symptoms, he then told me what to do to fix it as it was just a frozen condenser pipe, a common problem this time of year. Within half an hour problem fixed . Excellent service all for free ,can't thank them enough, I'm sure some companies may have made a customer wait three days for an engineer to call then charge £100 call out fee when it was a simple fix. Mayne Gas heating installed a new Oil-fired boiler for me. Darren managed to find a new boiler very quickly at an excellent price when most distributors were out of stock. It was installed by Charlie and Alice who did an excellent job of both removal of the old boiler and instillation of the new boiler which was extremely heavy. Highly recommended for any plumbing and heating replated jobs.

We were both very pleased with Mayne gas heating, the quality of the work and effeciency of Charlie and Alice, being done in one day was great and we felt we could trust them to go out and leave them to it. However the outside bricks were not matched to the old size as they said they would and I did think the labour charge was expensive for one day along with charging more for the heater than I could buy it for.All being said I would recommend them since what really counts is the overall job being well done, thank you to Darren and the team.
Darren attend site to survey site for quoting a Combi boiler initially on my request however on discussion due to higher usage of hotwater in the house he advised to switch the vented hotwater system to unvented system to boost hot water pressure around the house. In addition, the boiler in the house is approx 20 years old and with current Gas price and it has broke down few times past few years therefore I decided change the boiler as well as changing the cylinder. It took two and a half days to complete and re-comissioned (due to change of system), work done to high standard and arrive on time , engineer kept everything tidy and clean afterwards.. Highly recommended and probably use again for bathroom refurb next year

So disappointed that this company expects full payment for a job doing before the work has been done or completed such a let down payment is usually made for work after job is fully complete and customer is happy with the work so have to take my business elsewhere having used this business before I am astounded to believe they have no trust in payment as the last time payment was made when job was completed .
I found Mayne Gas Heating searching the web and was impressed with the many good reviews. From home inspection, quotation and central heating/boiler installation the company not only lived up to those reviews but in my opinion exceeded them. I received multiple quotations but Mayne Gas Heating was comprehensive, detailed and easy to understand. I required 8 new radiators, new combi boiler, removal of old boiler (bedroom cupboard), and removal of the loft water tanks. The installation team of Charlie, Jordon & Jacob completed the work within 3 days (heat & hot water available 2nd day) and performed a very professional job. It is what you cannot see which really impressed me. My closet in the bedroom has doubled in size with removal of the old hot water tank and the many pipes. A comprehensive removal and not just a basic removal. Even the outside wall bricks used to complete the flu was a pretty good match. Many thanks to the installation team. Darren, the office staff and the installation team performed a very professional install and for that reason award them maximum 5 stars. I highly recommend Mayne Gas Heating and will have no hesitation to use them again in the future. As of 7th January 2022 would add that I have used Mayne a further 3 times most recently performing gas boiler service. I have never been dissatisfied with the work performed. Always very timely and cost effective and most importantly service with a smile! Still a 5 star company for me and highly recommended.

Had a couple of redundant and safety condemned gas heaters removed and the old flu holes bricked and cemented up. The engineer clearly explained the situation with redecorating, and the remaining old pipework set in the concrete floor not removable after capping off but didn't mind was hardly noticeable anyway. For me,the service was A1 professional and would highly recommend this firm.

Absolute professionals fixed a gas leak from my job initially. Then I had problems with my toilet leaking also fixed. All within a timely manner and prompt. Having called quite a few companies in Grimsby and being told 3/4 week waiting lists. I’m grateful for Mayne for not giving me the run around.
I used this company for quite a few years and they told me I needed to replace my boiler last year. I did this at a cost of £2,500 and it worked fine until their engineer came to do an annual service a couple of weeks ago. Since then the boiler has shut down twice before I called them yesterday and again it shut down overnight. Each time it shuts down I have no hot water or heating in the house. I asked for an engineer to come out but was told there would be a charge which I was unhappy with paying as obviously that service engineer had done something/changed something to make the boiler shut down. not a company who cares about their customers unless they are taking money from them clearly.
Our boiler failed on 28th January. The installation team arrived 08:30 on Tuesday 9th February to replace the boiler and 11 radiators, and departed 17:30 Wednesday 10th. The installation was carried out in an exemplary and delightful fashion - I cannot imagine a team being more assiduous, polite, professional, thorough, competent and thoughtful. We are very pleased with the way in which the installation was carried and the resulting new system - it is significantly better than the old! Our dealings with the company from start to finish have been excellent, from advising how best to deal with the failed boiler and the system as a whole to final installation and follow-up. A pleasure to have met them - they'll be our first port of call next time.

I telephone Mayne Gas Heating for advice on a new heating and water system. Darren Mayne was extremely helpful and arranged to come that evening. The following day we received a quotation and with two working days they came and installed a new boiler. We were fitted in as an emergency as we had no hot water or heating. They completed the job in two days and they worked very efficiently and to a very high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm, they were exceptional.

Superb service from start to finish. We had a new boiler installed and a new immersion tank It was a complicated job as we have an ancient one-pipe heating system and we have never been able to get hot water independently from the boiler without having the heating on. Darren came and assessed the work needed and it was absolutely no problem. We were allocated 2 days for the work and Darren arrived to oversee everything on the day with Matt, Charlie and George and the lads stayed for 2 days solid - Matt came back on the third day to finish off the cosmetic stuff There was no nipping off to fit other jobs in between We are now toasty and have independent hot water Plumbers for life Highly recommended
It’s not the best time when you need a new boiler but after contacting Mayne and speaking to Darren, the process was quick and easy. I am very pleased with everything from start to finish. From the quote and finance options to the actual installation. I was kept informed and nothing was too much trouble. Matt who installed my boiler was professional and did a fab job. I appreciated him wearing shoes coverings and cleaning up after the job was finished. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend mayne to anyone.

Charlie from Mayne Gas fitted a Nest thermostat. It was a very professional job and whilst the installation was not as straightforward as expected Charlie took a great deal of time and care to make sure it was right. He neatly finished off the unavoidable slight disruption to the tiles from removal of the old control panel and the fitting of the new one. It was almost impossible to see where the work had been undertaken after he had finished it.. Service was delivered on time and in a friendly way. Charlie took time to show me the basics relating to how the Nest worked which was helpful. Whilst Charlie was the engineer on site it would be remiss not to mention the members of the admin team at Mayne Gas who efficiently arranged appointments/invoicing etc. Phil Houlden

Mayne responded very promptly following irreparable breakdown of our gas c/h boiler October 2019, provided a competitive quote for replacement, which was installed the following week as promised, all of the team polite, tidy and a good job well done! Within past month Mayne attended call out and identified breakdown of the heating / hot water in line electric valve, and once again came up trumps with prompt replacement valve, another job well done! Keep up the good work guys!

Called on Mayne Gas Heating for a leak in my bathroom. They took the issue very seriously when my emergency call out provider did not. They were very punctual, assessed the problem and came back within half a hour with the replacement part. They were very professional and did a brilliant job fixing the issue quickly! Would highly recommend.
Just had a new boiler fitted by Mayne Gas Heating. I was quoted by Darren yesterday and the team arrived to fit it today! Jason and Reece completed the job well on schedule – excellent workmanship. A massive thank you to Darren and his team for completing such a big job replacing the full heating system and fitting a new boiler for us. We had issues before Christmas with having no heating and Darren kindly sent his engineers ASAP to re configure the existing manifold to allow us to have heating over the period of Christmas until they could come to complete the full job. The engineers and all apprentices at Mayne’s are very professional and extremely good at what they do. Darren and his team have now fully replaced our water system and now heating and boiler, We are so pleased with the work they have done for Us and recommend them to anyone.

A young, hardworking team completed my central heating re-pipe on time and on budget. The competitive quotation was supplied by Darren who took his time to explain the work that was to be carried out. Charlie ( the experienced plumber) and George (the eager apprentice) knew what they were doing and kept me informed every step of the way. Had a new boiler fitted to replace our old one Matt and Rees turned up right on time put dust sheets down and got right on with job they were friendly and explained what they was doing did not stop until job was finished cleaned up after themselves and Matt put our doors back on for us could not fault anything then explained how it all worked and about service really strongly recommend

From start to finish they were so helpful, from the reception and booking our appointment to the engineer arriving on time, very professional and polite. The job was completed on time with very little disruption. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Mayne Gas Heating and would recommend them to everyone.
I recently used this company to install a new gas fire in my home which was done to a reasonable standard but I felt the installation was a bit messy and could of been done to a higher standard on this occasion. Holes were drilled in my walls which were too big and were left partially filled. Furthermore, brass pipes were installed up my walls which were left uncovered which made my living room look ugly. I had to buy some metal paint from B&Q to tidy them up. Plus the engineers seemed incapable of cleaning up and left significant amounts of dust on my floors which I was left to clean up. Would not use again for similar work.

I've no complaints at at all. This is the third time I've used them, and I would recommend them. Their engineers are prompt and friendly, and I'm happy to have them in my home, and the office staff are also helpful. They also turned up on time, as promised, which is an important detail to me. The work has been carried out well on each occasion.
