Had routine service booked. Dale arrived on time and I could track his arrival. Problem with the boiler meant more work than anticipated and needed new heat exchanger. Received a quote that day and went ahead with it.Despite being very busy Dale came back the following day and replaced the part and serviced the boiler. Had follow up message from Caig asking if all was ok. Very friendly service and I have totally confidence in them.

Excellent heat pump installation from start to finish. We had an oil boiler that we wanted to replace with a heat pump. Ours is an old house, so we needed real confidence that the system would be designed properly to perform well. From the first conversation we felt we were in safe hands. They carried out a comprehensive heat loss survey and then designed and installed a completely new heating system: heat pump, hot water tank, underfloor heating and new radiators. What impressed us most was how professional the whole team was. The quality of work is excellent, and they worked around our builders’ schedule without any fuss. They also spent a lot of time answering our questions, both while designing the system and again at commissioning, so we understand how everything works. Sam, Joe and Craig were all great. We were particularly impressed by Craig’s technical knowledge of the whole system, which gave us real confidence in the design and the installation. Throughout the project we felt well looked after. I’d recommend them without hesitation and would happily do so to friends and family.

Called C Brooks for an air sourced heat pump annual service, and I had no hot water .I was not happy with company I had used the previous year as I felt they didn't understand heat pumps,Wow Craig came out straight away, and I immediately knew I had the right company, his knowledge of heat pumps amazed me,as he immediately saw I had a small water leak(I hadn't noticed),ordered a new part and got my hot water back on,he also instructed me on how to use the control sensor for future use.A few day later he came back,fitted the part and performed a complete service, checked everything through the system, he then set all the heating and water timing's to come on at the right times throughout the day and night,and also making it as cost effective as possible. He arrived on time left no mess,and was completely professional at all times.If like me you don't completely understand you heat pump , Craig is your man,I would absolutely recommend C J Brooks,plumbing and Heating, as it was great to find a company who actually knew what they were doing.

Very knowledgeable about heat pumps! We moved into a house which had an ASHP installed. We never were able to get it working efficiently so I made an appointment with Craig. He spent a few hours going over the installation and all the problems he found. Turns out there were a lot of problems with the set up. He recommended some remedial work and took a lot of time going over the settings on our internal unit to get it working more efficiently.

Based on a recommendation we used C Brookes for the design and installation of an air source heat pump, replacing our very old central heating. We had obtained a cheaper quote from our electricity supply company but we’re so pleased we went with C Brookes. The system was a much better specification and meticulously designed, installed and commissioned. We’re confident it will be much better performing than the alternative. We have an old house and the company dealt with issues discovered with our old pipework very well. All arrangements and communications have been excellent

Contacted Craig as our boiler had an error code and no hot water or heating. He was polite and explained the process and cost over the phone. He was able to book us in for the next morning to have someone diagnosis the problem. We had brilliant communication and a message to explain that Dale would be with us 20 minutes before, which met expected time. Dale was friendly and able to diagnose an explain to use about the problem. He had rang around to get us the part but wasn’t able to get one until Monday. He explained the cost and process once they had managed to get the part and apologised for not being able to get it earlier but would keep us updated. Dale came back about 10 minuite later and explained he was able to fit the part later in the day if that worked for us. He explained cost and timings, which we agreed! The best friendly, informative communication and easy process, would definitely recommend and always use in the future!

We would highly recommend Craig and his team. We had an issue with our heating which ran on a NIBE system with Air Source Heat Pump, and previously sought advice and had services from numerous different companies, all of which didn’t seem to deliver or fully understand the set-up! However, the engineer sent (Dale) was fantastic, identified the issue in minutes and promptly replaced the part. He then went above and beyond to check our settings and found a few key things that mean our system will run so much more efficiently. He was a real expert! Their communications were superb and pricing really clear, including Dale running through the cost of parts/labour etc before going ahead. We will definitely use these guys again and recommend them without hesitation!

At last - someone who knows and understands Airsource systems. Having had numerous issues and error messages on our unit Craig came in, reset everything and ever since it has worked properly without any problems AND our electricity bill reduced enormously!! As advised we have just had the unit serviced and the lad that came in was extremely thorough, checking everything both inside and out. I am a real believe in heat pumps, but our installation made me realise how important it is that the work is done by someone who knows what they are doing - and that is exactly where C Brookes Plumbing & Heating come in. I had complete confidence Craig and his team knew exactly what they were doing and that the system would be optimised for the best performance possible. There were no issues with them working in our home and things were always left tidy. The pipe work in our airing cupboard is mastery - I feel I should put a glass door on it. Most importantly we have, for the first time since we moved here ten years ago, a warm home. If you want a heat pump, and you want it properly installed, speak to Craig.

Craig and the team did a fantastic job installing a new heat pump in our home. From the beginning with the initial survey, Craig was brilliant at answering (even the most stupid) questions. It is a big decision to switch over from an oil system, and the survey was very detailed and very clear. The team fitted the heat pump, the tank and changed / switched a large proportion of the radiators while we were away on holiday. I have no idea how they did so much work in just a week. The house was spotless when we got home and every member of the team showed great consideration for the property. The heat pump is great! Very quiet, loads of hot water and the tank in the garage looks like an art installation. Early days but it also seems to be super economical too. Craig came to my home in June 2024, to carry out a survey for ASHP, he offered advice and guidance on the installation. I wanted a 'Heat Geek' tank that was currently out of stock, Craig, kept me informed of the production schedule. In March 2025, as promised Craig and his team removed my old gas boiler, radiators and installed the 5 kW Valiant ASHP, Newark tank, radiators and moved pipework within kitchen. The works were carried out over 7 days and was to an excellent standard. Because of my illness on day of commissioning, he left the system set up and running in auto mode. Craig returned to my property a couple of weeks later to explain the system operation. The system is currently working well. I highly recommend Craig Brookes Plumbing, Heating & Renewables for any future heating and plumbing works I need. Good workmanship and a good guy.

The new Valiant controller installed last year needed to be explained to me again, but now working. This work was completed in the time scale quoted together with a full explanation of how it worked

We recently had our heat pump installed and our experience was fantastic. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for. Well most of the time or buy cheap pay twice. Yes, it wasn't cheap but you are paying for; 1, Experts in the field - Heat geeks 2, People who are passionate about the technology 3, Professional installation 4, An efficient system 5, Flexible in meeting our desires within the requirements of the system 6, Clean and esthetically pleasing installation with pipework chased in and plastered properly All in all we had a very positive experience and we can highly recommend a group of true professional and passionate installers who really do care about installing the best and getting the system design correct for their clients.

Craig, Aaron and Sam specified and installed a Water buffer tank (Accumulator) to deal with low water flow rate and installed a replacement shower. They were Professional, courteous, tidy, on-time. I would use them again.

Craig and his team installed a heat pump, radiators, under floor heating, water softener and hot water tank during an extensive extension we had done last year. Craig carried out detailed heat loss calculations on all the rooms in our house and made sure the radiators were correctly sized. Our air source heat pump packed up early in New Year whilst we were abroad and the weather was freezing. Sent Craig a message and he visited the house within a couple of days. Fault found to be blown PCB in the pump due to water ingress - a fault known to Vaillant! Craig organised a warranty callout for us the following week when we would be home. Very hard working and knowledgeable. Craig and Aaron recently completed a boiler swap for us. The quality of install is very high and we are very happy with the end result. Chose these guys based on their "Heat Geek" credentials which I think puts them on a different level. Not surprisingly they do seem very busy so it took a while to get the work scheduled.

I don’t usually leave reviews but the team did such a good job, really felt it was necessary to take the time to write a review. From start to finish, we got a really good service from Craig and his team. During the quote Craig spent a long time taking us through the work required. It was big job to replace the 25 year old heating system - boiler, hot water tank and cold water storage in the loft. We were quite nervous but Craig was able to explain everything that needed to be done which put our minds at ease. The quote was very detailed and explained all the work and steps required in plain English. All through the work, you are able to verify that each task was actually completed so I felt like I was provided with the full service I was quoted and paid for. Decent price as well compared to other providers. The planing and communication was excellent - very fast and efficient replies via email and also answered all calls. Responded with details as promised without needing to follow-up. The work took 4 days and each day the team explained: what they were going to do, kept things very clean and tidy so that we could still move around the house, put everything back in place exactly as it was (they even helped me fix one of the beds that was already falling apart beforehand) and cleaned up at the end of each day. They also provided us with electric heaters while the heating system was not available. Overall the quality of the work was excellent - no holes left unsealed, neat pipework, no damage to the property. Water pressure and heating is working amazingly. Overall really happy with the result and will definitely use Craig for all other work going forward.

Craig and Aaron installed our Viessmann boiler two years ago and it was due for its annual service. Craig contacted us in advance to arrange a suitable time and date. Nathan arrived within the time frame we were advised and carried out the comprehensive checks and tests required including taking photographs. In conversation with Nathan, who is relatively new to the team it was apparent he was very knowledgeable. It turns out that he was taught as an apprentice by Craig so he certainly had a good tutor. We look forward to seeing C Brookes Plumbing and Heating next year when the next service is due.

We have used Craig for many years, he has fitted our bathroom, installed a new boiler and is the only person we will use. From initial contact to finishing the job you get a first class service. If you don’t get Craig you get Nathan who is just as professional/good.

Yet again the team delivered a professional and great job. Nathan is really friendly and respectful that one of us works from home and worked around that. He even copes with the dog following him everywhere. He works thoroughly and explains everything he is doing and the outcomes. As well as replacing taps and repairing a burst external copper pipe he serviced all the house radiators and replaced valves where needed. Great job.

A customer of mine had an issue with a flow sensor fault on their Vaillant boiler. Craig was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and arrived later that afternoon to fix the boiler with the correct part. Very swift & efficient service.

I would highly recommended Craig, I nicked a copper pipe while doing some work he was out in a flash and repaired it in no time. He also has some great contacts in different trades and they all work together fantastically.
