Would highly recommend the team from Green Bulb Energy who installed solar panels, inverter and battery for me last week. They were very efficient, explained everything fully and completed the job quickly.

I took the solar plunge 3 months ago and I haven't looked back since! I am so pleased I started my solar journey with Green Bulb Energy, they have been fantastic from start to finish. I had some trepidation that I was going with a relatively new company but Oliver and his team's knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm shone through from the beginning. Green Bulb listened to my needs and worked with me on my requirements and more importantly my budget to design a system that would work for me and educating me on the way. From the initial quote to installation was 3 weeks and on the installation day the panels were generating power by 4pm. My initial setup included 12 panels and one battery but when I saw how much surplus energy I was producing (which was above the estimated generation and exceeded my expectations) I promptly ordered a second battery and Green Bulb supplied and fitted this within a couple of weeks. I am now all set for the winter when I will be charging my batteries overnight at cheap rate to use during the day. A win-win situation! I am absolutely delighted with Green Bulb and I would not hesitate in recommending them to any prospective customers. My only regret is I did not get solar sooner. If I could give the 6 stars I would. Thank you Green Bulb and I hope your business flourishes as it certainly deserves to.

I am the owner of a 1930's terraced property which is currently tenanted. In order to ensure that the property reaches EPC C (as per government guidelines), I decided to place solar cells with inverter and battery as one of the upgrades. I am so very grateful for the kindness and patience that Oliver and his team have shown throughout the installation of solar cells to my property. I am not particularly IT or technology literate and so I was rather nervous of both the installation process and mindful that both the tenant and I would need a little aftercare in terms of managing aps and liaising with electricity companies to coordinate the transition to the use of solar cells. I have to say that nothing has been too much trouble for Green Bulb, calls are answered promptly by Rifqi and Harriet who are extremely efficient (and polite) at ensuring that information is recorded and passed on, callbacks are timely and care has been taken to ensure that answers to the many questions posed by both the tenant and I have always been informative. As part of the process, Green Bulb liaised with management agency and the tenant to ensure that the installation process ran smoothly and Henry who oversaw and commissioned the installation was professional and careful to ensure that all works were completed to a high standard. If you are looking to install solar cells on your roof, be that as a landlord or for your own property, I cannot recommend Green Bulb highly enough. Green Bulb has done it again! Finally after years of talking about it, and of course the hottest weather since 1976, we commissioned Green Bulb to install two upstairs AC units. Thinking we would not get them until Christmas as demand countrywide is high, Phil set about searching high and low for two units and their pipework! Within a week we had news that they had secured them! Apparently, making good relationships with suppliers helps! Well, along came Phil and fitted them in. To be honest, I didn’t even know that he was in the house! What a difference! I can now sleep upstairs again in the summer! I don’t need a fan running next to me at night! I’m sure I’m in a better mood now! Plus, the AC units in the bedrooms are run from the solar battery at night which Green Bulb recently put in. Professionally, Phil knows his stuff. He knows what AC your house will need. Size does make a difference. So. Yet again,Green Bulb has come up trumps! Thank you Phil ( Buster to his friends) . What next can this fabulous team do? I have just had Green Bulb Energy install my solar panels. Dealing with the company before the installation was straight forward and made uncomplicated by the excellent advice and care taken by Harriet. She was so very helpful evey step of the way and made the process so simple to negotiate. The crew that installed the panels and battery took great care with my property, giving their advice on where best to install the battery. They worked efficiently under very hot conditions and took great care when working both inside the house and out. The whole process took just a day. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

My Solar Journey wirh Green Bulb Energy. It started with a nice chat in my garden during a fine drizzle while we played with a drone and took some pictures. This was refreshingly non sales like. Shortly after the quote arrived. It took me a short while to compare quotes and convince my wife and I am happy to say that they were not pushy in this time. The sales team score 5 out of 5. Instalation. In 34⁰C heat, with a team of 2 instead of 3, the instalation team did a 12 hour shift to install the system in 1 day. I provided them with ice lollies and they earned my undieing respect. The instalation team get 6 out of 5 The system itself It looks good, the battery and inverter are that kind of black and white that gives starwars vibes. The panels look great against the slate roof. The App shows clearly what's going on. I believe there are probably some more clever features I could be using and I look forward to a deep delve. System gets 5 out of 5 After sales We had a blip in communication (sort of). The hand over pack was a little delayed (by a regulator having a back log) but this was not communicated very well at the time. I think its important to judge a company on how they respond when these types of things happen. I had a very productive conversation with a company director as a result and now I have full confidence that I chose a really good company for my solar. After sales 4.5 out of 5

Lightning-Fast, Meticulous Workmanship (Henry, Installer) When it came to installation day, I was blown away by how fast they worked. The whole experience with green bulb energy has been great from start to finish and is now continuing after the install of my solar panels and battery set up. There were a few teething issues just after the install with the app but Oliver and his team were on hand straight away to help me out. The system is running absolutely perfect. I couldn't recommend Green bulb energy any more highly. CJ and his team didn't mess around with the install. Everyone had there own job and just cracked on with it. Completing the install in a day. The first time I met Oliver he was very knowledgeable about what he was selling and wasn't pushy in any way. He gave me two different options of install to start with and we ended up going with a third option that was discussed and proposed which will save me even more money in the long run. In our experience, green bulb energy, have been very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The installation team was also very courteous and good spirited even in the rain. I highly recommend this Company.

A very positive experience. The company hasn’t been operating long and from online reviews you would think that was the ultimate sin, but the whole process was quick and efficient with no hard sales tactics. We were invited to visit them at Sandwich, so we did. It was just an office in a “hub”, but Oliver took us through everything and we paid the deposit with a credit card, so no need to worry about a fly-by-night company because we had section 75 protection. We had to wait a couple of weeks, but the scaffolding went up on time and the work was also done on time and to a high standard. There was nothing for us to do, as all the necessary documents, licenses and insurance are processed by Green Bulb. They did the work and handed over a fully operational system with all the necessary documentation (as pdf files). It took about 5 days after getting the documents to start exporting energy and now we are getting back more than our gas and electricity usage combined. Winter may be different but I can’t complain. They have contacted us a few times since to see how everything is going; it’s good to know support is there if needed.

12 solar panels + 10kw battery and 5kw inverter installed May 2026. One of the few companies to send someone to do a full survey rather than rely on Google earth! No heavy sales pitch and a good informed conversation. Prices were fair, not cheapest , but they added value during negotiations to make it feel i had a fair deal. Install went smoothly on the day with Habib and team leaving everything tidy and explaining the sigenergy app to me. From contract to removal of scaffolding was 1 month. A pleasant experience with good comms and follow through. Recommend you include them in your considerations😃

I have posted a review before, just after our installation but wish to add further. 3 weeks ago, Sig energy issued notice of an inverter upgrade under warranty due to an AC plug melting. Green Bulb have chased relentlessly for the module to be sent but Sig have dragged their heels. Last night our inverter went pop with the issue highlighted by Sig. bearing in mind this is a bank holiday weekend and a Sunday, I contacted James, Oliver and Henry and within a couple of hours, both directors attended the property, reinstated our heat pump which was also knocked off line, ensured the inverter and batteries were safe and checked our internal electrics. They also completed a full report for Sig for the replacement. How many directors of solar companies would come out on a Sunday over a Bank Holiday, not even involving their staff! It is worth bearing this level of aftersales service in mind when you consider other companies. It just reinforces my choice of provider.

Oliver and the Greenbulb crew were literally a standout company from the congested / saturated solar industry. After months of research and talking to rival companies, they really were unique. The personal approach was always really impressive, from the initial understanding of what we needed to delivery of the design and costing and then the installation and support. We went with the approach that suited us best and were never pushed towards anything we didn’t need. We live in a unique historic old building so a sympathetic approach to our needs was required. Greenbulb really hit the spot with understanding this… but I got the impression they deliver this standard of service to all their clients. Great service, nice and quick from initial visit right through to installation, would recommend them if your thinking of solar panels.

Stepping into the unknown world of solar panels, batteries, inverters, kWh, volts and flux capacitors, I felt unusually unnerved and out of depth. For me, energy self sufficiency is the only logical buffer against political, environmental and financial instability, so I knew I wanted it; and more so, needed it to keep my bills under control. I had to hedge against predictable yet unknown energy crises and turbulence looming on the horizon. Never doing anything uninformed or without due diligence, I found my way to Green Bulb. I made contact with a very helpful Oliver who's enthusiasm won me over. He visited to survey the property and discuss the work Green Bulb had been doing. It was apparent I was dealing with the front end of a tight group of specialist engineers and not sales people. My project would not be subcontracted to unknown contractors and Green Bulb would see the work through from hello to goodbye. I awarded Green Bulb my project and shortly I had a fairly technical group meeting with the team. This was headed by James, a very knowledgeable techno geek nerd - and I'm sure he will take that as a compliment (as it should). I set the parameters of my expectations and learned about possibilities and limitations. I felt reassured that I was in the right hands after this meeting and ultimately I was happy to give them free reign to design and build a system they thought fitted. I got the distinct impression that they were very excited to be given the opportunity to design a very bespoke system for me. I received 3 possible end designs, all differing in costs and system capabilities. The higher the cost; the more the solar power size, or mid or higher end products. The final design was hewn out of many communications between us. The most important thing that I found was that I could trust what I was hearing and that I wasn't being upsold. This was utterly vital to me when I dabbling into the unknown. The work was done as promised to a very high standard with pride and diligence. I'm very pleased with my solar panels, inverter and battery set up. I will be asking Green Bulb to maintain and expand the system in the future and I've already asked them to install an EV charger. I'd happily and genuinely recommend Green Bulb to anyone. It's understandable that since I met Oliver for the fist time, they have expanded exponentially due to word-of-mouth recommendations. I am beyond delighted with the solar panels installed by Green Bulb Energy. Oliver and his team were extremely professional and really fast in beginning the installation, so it has been no time at all before we have been able to monitor (on a user-friendly app) the free clean electricity coming from the roof, powering our house, charging the batteries, with the surplus going back to the grid. We recently used Green Bulb Energy for solar installation. Our friends referred us, as they had a great experience with them. From the first contact with Oliver and the team, everything was smooth and professional. Oliver paid a visit to the house, was very professional and knowledgeable, and explained the entire process. and answered all my queries and concerns. He sent a video explaining how the energy system works, and based on the panels I will install, how much energy I will generate and how much I could sell back to the grid. It was my first experience with solar installation, and it went so quickly and smoothly. The appointment, scaffolding, installation, etc., were done thoroughly and explained by his team on the day of completion. In the morning, they were installing panels, and by evening, we were already generating electricity from them, and we could see everything on the app too. We went to SigEnergy and 4 batteries. I contacted a number of other companies in addition to Green Bulb before making my choice. If you look at the website you will see Green Bulb are a company with a large commercial business and they clearly bring these standards to their residential business. They were the only company that insisted on visiting my house to confirn the roof was strong enough to bear the weight of the Solar Panels before preparing the options for my panels/ battery etc.I liked the idea of a guaranteed fixed price not subject to any changes once the team was onsite (The competition did everything online without visiting my house). The installation team were impressive and they pointed out their work confirms to all the industry recomended standards not the minimum acceptable. It is a very neat installation that takes into account my preferred less intrusive cable runs. A very impressive company thay I unhesitately recomend. For the record, I used to own a Double Glazing company so I know how to recognise good residential installers.

I've been monitoring solar energy panels for the past 20 years. Two factors prevented me from committing. Firstly the cost! Secondly the lack of opportunity to store the energy that is created. Recent changes to the solar panel industry means that the cost of panels and installation is now affordable. I went with Green Bulb as they had good knowledge of the industry, longevity, competitive quote, and most importantly for me a facility that provides finance over 1,3,5, and 10 years. I spoke with Oliver all the way through the process, knowledgeable and very helpful. He could answer all my queries fully, he even pre-empted some questions, but above all sincere in advice. I went for panels and battery to cover my needs. Order placed, and lets face it, there is that moment of trepidation where you doubt your choices. Scaffolding went up approximately 4 days later - Thank you Tiger Scaffolding and Bruce. Quick and efficient in putting it up, and taking it down the day after installation of panels. Along comes Henry, the main man, to do the install. Perhaps the kindest description is conscientious, but he was fastidious to the point where I was starting to get worried. But that is exactly the type of person I want to work on my property. Panels and battery were delivered to site, but the morning already was spent in preparing the roof brackets and the foundations for the cabling. It took two days complete, and it was done to a very high standard. I am extremely pleased. Thank you Green Bulb. ** I am with Octopus and switched to their solar tariff, good rates offered. It took 2 weeks to get my certificates and export number, then another 2 weeks to to go live (can take upto 6 weeks according to website). It's February and not much sun, but the odd time it did appear all was working as it should. Waiting for a glorius summer to maximise on the export.

Having used several solar provider comparison sites and spoken to 8 providers, we eventually decided to use Green Bulb. All bar one provider used the hard sell, ‘What can we offer for you to sign up now?’ System designs propsosed were way over the top for our needs and offered without question. At Green Bulb, you will initially deal with Oliver, a very quiet, understated chap, who really makes the effort to understand your needs over what could be more profitable for the company. This is what drew us to them and eventually signed on the dotted line. We corresponded via email and initially and then he popped over to conduct a final survey to come up with a proposal, again, no hard sell but very enthusiastic, especially if you getting him talking about the benefits of solar and in particular Sig Energy but at no time hard sell. There were several proposed additions on my part including additional battery storage and panels, some of my ideas met with the response,’you really don’t need to do that, it will be a waste of money and no extra benefit’ . How often do you deal with a representative like that? Then there’s James, the technical director. Word of warning there though, if you ask him anything technical, make sure you are sitting down with a cup of coffee with no plans for a few hours!! The installation we opted for carried out by Henry and Jim. Henry was in a word fastidious! I’ve never seen an electrician using a spirit level for pretty much all aspects of the fitting. I think Oliver has posted some of his work on social media. I can assure you that he is as advertised. Even he admits he’s not the fastest but he likes it done correctly! His wiring and config of trunking/boxes etc was absolutely precise. When he had finished, you wouldn’t have known he was there. Jim fitted all 20 panels in one day leaping across the roof like a feline. When the work has been completed, your installer will become you main point of contact as they fitted the system and understands how it works. In our case Henry. We had an issue and within the hour he had responded with a solution having been able to access our live and historic data. We popped into the office today to complete the last of the admin and ended up chatting over coffee for nearly 2 hours with Oliver. I’m sure by now you can understand why I can’t recommend this company highly enough.

The company was great they have done AC for a 79 bed care home on 3rd floor which was not easy to get though as the ceiling was very small and a lot of metal bars and wires to get though but they did it with out a moan. The cost was very good too as other companies has quoted almost double the price for the same job. I would recommend them to do it all again if needed.

A previous company did not even quote and said it was impracticable. Oliver recognised the difficulties but immediately came up with a solution at a very reasonable cost. Great service and experience

Green Bulb Energy provided the most competitive quotation. They did exactly what they said they would do, in person and with great customer care. The communication was great including the supporting scaffolders and roofers. All our questions were answered very quickly and because we live in a conservation area Green Bulb discussed our proposal and made the planning process very positive.

9 March 2025 I would like to say a huge thank you to Olly, Craig, Tom and remainder of the team. From the start I had numerous questions and uncertainties. Olly was quick to respond and to answer any questions, calculations and changes. Not knowing much about solar I changed the design 3 times to get the final array which we are immensely pleased with. Nothing was too much of a problem and we were dealt with in a professional and polite manner. My only regret is that I wished we would have decided to have solar panels sooner. Solar is so good now and adding Air conditioning to each room will massively reduce my bills from my calculations. Having solar and Air conditioning heating is so efficient now. It’s amazing how far the technology has come and the solar comes with a 30 year efficiency promise. I couldn’t believe it. Only 5 years ago solar was a waste of time, now it’s a no brainer.
