Well what can I say shower of poor workmanship from start to finish I had to pay my roofer half a days money to put right the top flashing and fix it all properly the wires were just ran across my decking when quite clearly the surveyor said would be put under the electrics from panels and fuse board had to be moved by my electrician as they ran them either side of the outside brass tap which he pointed out it was dangerous the insulation switch was hanging off the wall your company’s electrician had to re wire wrong installation and then left all there rubbish on my drive and left my garage door open wide as I was away we have just tried to contact the energy supplier and they tell us we only have certificate for battery brilliant !! I’m not one for writing a review but I tried to tell someone I wasn’t happy but fell on deaf ears absolute shower a blind man could of done the flashing better but heho you have your money

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I had solar panels fitted coming up to 3 months ago now and I am still exporting nothing. They repeatedly lied about submitting the G99 application to the electricity network (I had to call SSEN to confirm this). They should have submitted the application before fitting the panels, they didn't. It wasn't submitted until weeks afterwards. When SSEN actioned it several weeks later, they found my home solar had not filled it in correctly and required resubmitting. Nearly 3 months later I am still waiting and their after care is absolutely abysmal. I call repeatedly asking for further details on what is actually going on, all I get in reply is "we will get someone from the correct department to calll you regarding this". The call never comes, they have made no attempt to help or update me on the status. I dread to think what grief I will encounter if I ever have a problem with the panel array. Really wish I went with a different company, these guys are absolute cowboys!

Our experience with MyHomeSolar.UK was disappointing. An EV charger installed at my sister's property was positioned in a location that at over 12m is impractical for charging a vehicle parked on her driveway. We contacted the company numerous times between January and July 2026 seeking relocation of the charger to the front of the house. Responses were unanswered for weeks despite our reminders. This company's position was that the installation location had been agreed during the original survey and that a relocation would be chargeable. My sister is elderly, wasn't aware that ev car supplied charger cables are at max 5m length, and went solely on the recommendation of the site fitter who drew up the paperwork. A £250 relocation fee was offered, but this company has declined to move the charger free of charge. We are disappointed that a charger which has never been used due to its location distance from driveway was not relocated to the front of the house without additional cost to us. We encourage future customers to carefully verify the proposed charger position and cable reach before installation by this company.

Very pleased with installation and after care service.

Booked an appointement after seeing them at Ideal Home Show. Sales guy turned up at my property said the deal was as stated at the show. He could not answer my questions and wanted 25% upfront before a surveyor would visit property. I said I would not pay 25% upfront. I would only consider that after the surveyor had visited and provided his report. Sales guy shut his folder and walk out of the property without a goodbye.

27 Solar panels were installed yesterday by an excellent crew. Everyone arrived on time and got on with their work in a competent and knowledgeable way. Blane and his colleague on the roof were amazing with an extraordinary ability to work at heights. The electricians Junior and George knew what they were doing and put extra effort into making all the visible wires look carefully laid out and well fixed. The delivery chap and the scaffolders all played their part to make the whole installation a happy experience. A big thank you to everyone concerned.

What an excellent company - every member of staff that I've dealt with has been friendly, polite and very helpful. No pressure sales - everything explained clearly plus a very fast turnaround from agreement to installation. I was so impressed and delighted with the service and products provided that I've recommended My Home Solar to family and friends.

We met MY HOME SOLAR at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London Olympia. Within a few days the salesman was round giving us a competitive quote for a solar installation with a single FoxEss 6Kwh battery. 3 days later the surveyor attended with his drone and takes us through the installation, and before he left we were booked in for the install the follow week. Scaffolding, Electrician and the Solar fitters (Blane & team) were all great and did a sound job. I’m already seeing the benefits of the system with regard to my home consumption with is sitting around 6-10 pence a day. I’m very pleased so far. From going to the exhibition to installation was less than 2 weeks, so a rapid turnaround. Just waiting on my certification so I can send to Octopus Energy so I can send excess electricity back to the grid.

Excellent service from start to finish. Scaffolding was installed the day before, then on the day, solar panels installed and the electrical kit installed all within 3 hours. Must say their Blane solar install team were brilliant.

My home solar were great at installing my solar system- but since then I have discovered that the bird netting is coming loose. I contacted them in August about it and they have done nothing. The issue is now much worse and 4 months have gone by with. No sign of them. EDIT: they did show up eventually and did a good job when they arrived. Credit where due

I have just had the nicest team fit my silar panels today Bill and Terry. What great guys. They have done an amazing ob and gone over and beyond in ensuring I am happy. They explained everything. All work is absolutely first class! I'm thrilled to bits! Thank you both and thank you My Home Solar!

My Home Solar reached me via a telemarketing call. Their salesperson walked through the system, then pushed for a commitment while dropping the price from £11,000 to £8,000 the rapid discounting, coupled with repeated prompts to pay a £2,000 advance immediately, was a clear hard‑sell approach rather than a consultative discussion. I contacted few other installers to benchmark. Every company I spoke to quoted £1,000–£1,500 less than My Home Solar for comparable kit and installation. I called the next day to cancel. My Home Solar confirmed the order was cancelled and said the £2,000 advance would be refunded within two days. Despite chasing for 15 days, I have not received the refund. Each time I call, I’m asked for my surname and postcode and told I’ll get a call back—which never happens. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend My Home Solar.

Very impressed with my home solar received a phone call to see if we was interested in solar very polite on the phone and had the quote the next day no questions was to hard to answer very friendly and very quick service very happy saving money on my electric bills already

Be careful with these guys. I purchased a system from them and the installation was great and the team are lovely. It just does not work and shorts daily. Despite up to ten attempts to resolve the issues, they can not fix it and blame the grid. The grid have assured me the installer is at fault. Proceed with care

We came across this company at the Ideal Home Exhibition, and were impressed by the friendliness, expertise, and candour of their representative. We booked an appointment for first contact, and their reps kindly arranged the survey visit between holidays. The survey was thorough, friendly, and informative. The surveyor clearly likes his job, doing well at his job and was very positive about the company. We were due to go away again in 10 days from the survey, but the company arranged for installation in 4 days time, which was yesterday. A large team of experts, scaffolders, electricians and roofers arrived at 0700, and had completed the installation by early afternoon.. The system and it's use were very thoroughly explained and all questions were answered very well.. We are now producing way more electricity than we are using.. I only wish that we had made this investment sooner. Special efforts were made by the company to get the scaffolding removed as we have a garden party arranged for the weekend.. I cannot recommend this command highly enough.. thank you..

They claim they price match on there website but they don’t and if that is how they do business I can only imagine what service you receive after.

My experience with MyHomeSolar was great, most especially the sales process, installation was very swift and done correctly. Certificates and DNO confirmations were completed like they said. Had a hiccup post installation but they got it sorted. I would recommend these guys.

A swift and hassle free experience! The scaffolders arrived at 8:50 in the morning and we were generating our own electricity by 4. The installation team were excellent; not only were they fast and professional, but they were also a lot of fun. I've had a couple of enquiries since the system was installed, and they've been dealt with over the phone quickly and easily. I cannot fault these guys at all, and would highly recommend them!

I had solar panels installed on my roof by My home solar three months ago, and I'm still waiting for my DNO certificate. The installation itself went smoothly, but the follow-up has been disappointing. Despite numerous calls and emails, the company doesn't seem to know why there's a delay or when I can expect to receive the certificate. Their lack of communication and resolution is frustrating. I hope they can improve their post-installation support.

Be Warned! This company works with a telemarketing company that will pester the life out of you.

My Home Solar - A Fantastic Team who knows how to best to support the Customer. Having recovering from a previous company going into liquidation/ gone bust. We were not sure if we should take a chance with another Solar company. My Home Solar was recommended to us by friends who were very impressed with the team and the workmanship going forward. I have to share that we were not disappointed. Right from the get go.. Mark was assigned on the 21Aug and spent the time was exemplary. The Solar package was installed on Tuesday (29 Aug) and two days in, it’s working perfectly. On the original design Mark suggested that we install a 10kw battery. We was not sure initially due to the additional cost involved, but wen ahead with the 10kw battery. Which was the right size to install due to the amount of Solar energy generated by the PV’s. So thanks to Mark for his honesty & professionalism. The whole team part of my installation was like watching the GB Athletic’s relay team carrying the baton then passing it on from team member to team member. From Sales (Mark) to the Architect (Chris), then the scaffolding team (Dan). And the the roofer / installer/ main man (Tom) and the sparky (Craig). Not forgetting the Customer Support Team (Max) were absolutely fantastic. During the whole experience they were alway making sure we were happy with decisions made to keep things moving forward. Very impressed with this company, good competitive quote using Energizer panels, Givenergy battery and Inverter. Owner of the business Rob performed the technical survey on Saturday and the team installed the following Monday! George and his father stayed on late to ensure system was fully functional and did an excellent job of fitting the Inverter and Battery, Isolators and cable routing was very neat. Tony and Luke fitted all the panels without fuss despite carrying all the gear up to the roof! All round a very pleasant experience with a knowledgeable friendly team. Thanks, recommend highly!

My Home Solar were fantastic throughout the whole process, installation was done within 4 days of signing up! Really happy with the outcome, had a battery installed as well and immediately benefiting from Solar. Very competitively priced too, overall 5 star service and have already recommended to family & friends.

Not everything goes as planned, and after a couple of revisions of the system, even during installation, i can only say Rob and has team have been a pleasure to work with. Clean and tidy workers, along with helpful office staff. Have already recommended them to family and friends.

I highly recommend for a number of reasons; there was no pressure from the sales people and they were very informative; after paying the deposit, the panels were put in place two days later so the service was very quick and they worked around my needs so I only had to take one day of annual leave; they offered the best quote of three companies; the team of fitters were very pleasant and respectful and worked incredibly quickly as the scafffolding was up and down within a matter of hours.

Good clear presentation followed by very detailed Quotation with full equipment data sheets. My Home Solar was the best presented and most affordable system quoted. Accepted Quote on a Monday, survey the following day and installed and working the next day, thanks to a happy coincidence of program schedules. Scaffolding away and system exporting to the Grid. Done and dusted in four days and apart from the Panels, no sign of disturbance. Job very well done. Would fully recommend My Home Solar.

Similar experience to a reviewer from last week. We made special arrangements to meet the representative who failed to turn up. After calling company, they said they had only just learned that he was ill. Made me appointment for next day, with a different rep, and he also failed to appear, with no message of apology. If this company can't even organise a person to appear on time, they are not going to get any business from me.

Tried to book a quotation and they insisted on both home owners being present so changed to a day to suit us both, which is fair enough. On the day they didn't turn up. No phone call or email. Phoned them to see what was happening and they lied saying they called the day before to confirm and I didn't answer. Checked my call history while on the phone and they still insisted that they had tried to contact me. No apology and quite abrupt. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I declined after having my time wasted.

Having done lots of research and having 5 different companies quote, we were really glad we chose Myhomesolar. They were one of only two companies to come out to us before quoting, they responded quickly to all my further questions and came up with a competitive quote. I confirmed my choice with them Tuesday morning, a surveyor came out that afternoon, the scaffolders the next day and the fitters battled through the snow to do the job on the Thursday. By 4.30 we were generating solar power and tracking it on the app. At all times all staff were helpful, courteous and tidy. I particularly liked the way that the scaffolders and fitters were not contractors, but part of the company and shared the same commitment to getting the job done. An amazing experience.

Excellent from start to finish. Fast and efficient. My system was installed and working within a few days of my deciding to go ahead. A clean professional installation. Saving me money from the start, even though we haven't seen any sunshine for a few days the system has produced enough electricity to cover our daily useage and charge the battery.A couple of sunny days and I will be selling to the grid 😄👍

Excellent customer service and product

Placed and order Monday at 5pm for 4.6kw panels, inverter and 6.5kw battery. Recieved a call Wednesday saying MHS could install Thursday. Thursday, scaffolders arrived at 8.00am, finished by 9.30am. Electricians arrived at 8.45, we had a cuppa and discussed cable routes and locations, worked out a brilliantly simple route from the inderstair to the roof space. Panel installers arrived at 10.00am, and cracked on. To cut a short story shorter, by 1.30pm (yes, 5.5 hours later) the system was commissioned running, and I was off grid. A short tutorial on the app (set up for me), and the guys bid me farewell. All is immaculately tidy, the team were fantastic. The follow up call today on next steps about setting up tarrifs and rigistration was extremely helpful. All in all, quite staggering. I work in construction, and sharing this with my colleagues they can't quite believe it either. Colour me extremely impressed. Neighbours and folks further afield have stopped me in the street to ask about it. I've got a few appointments to show them the kit! And a footnote, James was great too, no pushy sales just the right info to get the right system. If you haven't worked it out. Thoroughly recommend. Now we just need some sun...

My Home Solar have just installed a 22 panel PV and 30kw energy bank system for me and done a brilliant job. After moving to an all electric house I was horrified by my first electric bill as economy 7 was very cheap overnight but very expensive during the day. I briefed MHS that I wanted a system that would store that cheap overnight energy for me to use during the day and top up with solar energy, plus use any excess to heat up my hot water. They sent someone out very quickly, got a quote back to me within a few days and managed to get the system installed a week later. Every member of their team, including sub-contractors has been super friendly, professional and helpful. It wasn’t cheap but my electric bill has dropped 90% and I haven’t used any day time expensive energy in a week, even when overcast. I reckon full system payback in 6-7 years! My energy banks charge from 12am to 6am, then I use some of that energy until around 11am at which point my panels are at peak performance until 5pm, this then puts enough charge back into the system to see me through to midnight where the cycle starts again. This is in winter so hoping that summer sees me in zero grid use. Highly recommend this company.

Our solar installation has just been completed in three days-Magnificent!! Can we just say how impressed we were with all three very hard working teams, as well as their very pleasant manner. No questions were too much trouble to answer. Mark (your advisor who came to speak to us about the installation) was also very helpful and his knowledge was impressive! All three neighbours who chose to have their panels fitted at the same time said exactly the same! We will continue to recommend you to anyone who asks. Penny and John Callaghan

Installing our solar panels was an extremely smooth and quick process. Mr Henson reviewed our power usage, advised us on the number of panels and battery type we should use. He also explained what we could expect for performance with our preferred installation location. Within a week of accepting his quote the surveyor had completed his survey and the panels, inverter and battery were installed, just as promised. They are performing as Mr. Henson expected. Everyone we have dealt with from MyHomeSolar has done exactly what they said they would, have answered our questions promptly and have been very pleasant to deal with. The installers even discussed panel cleaning with our window cleaner (who turned up during the installation) so he knows when and how to clean them.

I have only very good things to say about My Home Solar. Thoroughly recommend using them. 10 Solar panels + Battery installed Thursday done in a morning. What can I say but Brilliant service all the way from initial inquiry, Quotation, On line Contract (my first) and Installation within 2 weeks. Everyone very professional and polite. We went solar with battery partly to reduce our Electricity bills and for us avoiding total power cuts (we had one for almost week at the beginning of the year, no heating, I.T. or TV and light by candles. Not fun at all). Now generating our own power. Don't expect peak generating performance this time of year though (more like <50% on a sunny day) and I guess it will be less as winter sets in but that's down to the climate not M.H.S. The way I see it its a great annual return on Investment on cost saved V leaving the money in the bank, probably 10% or more return depending on how far the Electricity costs rise. Go on treat yourself and help save the planet at the same time.

We just got our system installed. We got quotation and installation date within 10 days. All very professional and quick. We've contacted all the other solar companies in our area, but we had to wait more than 6 months, due to high demand. Very pleased.

The Home Solar team have been really helpful with answering any queries and making the entire process as smooth as possible. With the increase in energy bills, it couldn't have come at a better time and I am very excited to see the improvement to my energy bills these next coming months.
