For a number of reasons not least of which the fragility of our slate roof had left me nervous about proceeding with a solar installation at our home - having elected to finally go ahead I then entered the fray of entertaining companies offering their services which was akin to double glazing companies & salespeople in the 1980's.........................until I found Green Team One. From the initial telephone call through to the project completion their staff have been consummate professionals throughout and the standard of the associated work is absolutely splendid. Creag our salesperson was never pushy and always available to field my avalanche of questions and concerns - as for the roof, Ryan turned up at ours the day before installation (actually a Bank Holiday) to familiarise himself with the roof and its' challenges - the result, was not a single slate out of place or damaged which was highly impressive. I continue to be supported with the ever cheery voices on the end of the telephone which is always re-assuring. Highly professional company. Every person I interacted with, either at my house or at their office was helpful and easy to work with. All emails / queries always quickly responded to. I had done a lot of research and they were happy to install exactly what I requested. They were the only company who quoted to be transparent enough to show parts and labour separately! Installation went smoothly, with minor technical / software issues quickly resolved. Most importantly, I now have a high quality solar and battery system that works perfectly.

Green Team One installed our solar panels and battery earlier in the month. Since it was comissioned, most of our electricity use has been provided by the solar, and battery. The only electricity we have imported is around 22 watts per hour which is the meter /system overhead. The system is exporting far more than we use, even on dull days, so very pleased.

There may not be huge demand for solar projects (or sunlight!) in January, but the speed and efficiency of installation of panels and battery in our town in north Wiltshire took our breath away. All the people who came to the house - three visits from individuals to advise and assess, and a team who completed the work in a morning - were friendly, on time, and professional. The firm is big enough to know its business, and local enough to be available if needed. Not the cheapest quote, but the level of service we have received already justifies their charge, and we feel confident that they will continue to support us.

We decided to invest in solar panels, battery storage, EV charger and an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), and approached a number of local companies for quotes. From the start of this process, Green Team One were very professional, with Rob spending a couple of hours at our home to go through our options and what our likely rate of return could be. As Green Team One were the only company out of the initial group we contacted that could also supply and install the ASHP in-house, we also had a visit from Bryan to carry out the heat loss survey. Again, this was very detailed – he listened to our expectations and then explained what our options were. Once we had received all the quotes, we decided to go with Green Team One – although they were not the cheapest option, we were very impressed with the level of detail provided and that they would be able to handle the entire installation themselves. A start date was agreed very quickly and clear communication was given as to what we would need to do before the work commenced. The work was split into two phases – with the solar panels, battery, EV charger and ASHP installation being phase 1 while phase 2 consisted of removing the old gas central heating system and replacing it with the new ASHP. Phase 1 was completed in a day and phase 2 in three days. We were very impressed with both the quality and the speed of the work. The team were very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had during the process. We were also given enough information at the end of each phase to allow us to use the new systems, with a more in-depth handover session set up for a couple of days later, to allow the system to bed in. The handover session was also very detailed – with demonstrations on how to set up and monitor the various apps and accounts needed to run and monitor the new devices, checks to ensure that everything was working as intended and time allowed to answer any questions we had. We have been very impressed with how Green Team One delivered on the whole project and turned what could have been a very stressful process into a very smooth experience. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else that was looking to install a similar set-up.

I've been a bit slow off the mark with this review, but in a way that's more useful, because not only am I reviewing the design and installation process (which was slick and flawless) but having now experienced my system operating, in both summer and winter, I can tell you if the solar and battery implementation Green Team One designed and installed has lived up to my optimistic expectations. YES IT HAS 😊 As I type this review on an overcast, wet January afternoon, my 9.5kWh battery is at 96%, so plenty of power to avoid buying peak rate power from the grid this evening. As I have an EV we are on E.ON Next Drive tarrif. A winning combo with my solar and battery system. Thanks GT1 😁

I contacted Green Team One 2 months ago after a failed Government Solar Grant Application. I decided to go it alone in this minefield of an industry. I found them through a friend’s recommendation. Green Team One came over for a recce. I got a very good quote. They continued to answer my tough questions regarding the horror stories I’d heard about bogus companies, equipment and installations. They installed the system and supported me through the whole process. They were quick, efficient and professional. They are continuing to support me all the way to my new Octopus Energy solar tariff choices. Rarely have I felt so comfortable and supported by a company but Green Team One are true professionals with a team of experience and enthusiastic Engineers, technologists, roofers, contract scaffolders and admin. They are superb to deal with. They get 5 stars from me without doubt!

After approaching a number of companies for a quote for the install of a solar + battery system Green Team One were far and away the best. From a fantastic initial quote with Rob - who came on a Saturday and spent close to 2 hours running through as much detail as I wanted, to the entire installation process I really can’t fault them. Green Team One installed a solar system and battery at our property in Cheltenham. They were helpful, communicative and professional from first quote to the follow-up meeting to check we were happy with the work. There was no hard sell, they just gave us the information we asked for, answered all follow up questions and left us to consider the quote in our own time. The scaffolding went up when they said, and the roofers and electricians arrived at around 830am on install day and were finished by around 230pm. Very pleased with both the system they fitted and their professionalism.

From the first appointment with Rob to final commisioning and handover the team were fantastic. I had 5 quotes from various suppliers but Green Team One listened to what I wanted explained all the equipment options and we agreed on a system that was as non Chinese as is possible and integrated with Octopus and our Zappi car charger. I approached 4 companies whilst considering whether to go ahead with a solar energy system for my new home which is all electric with an Air Source Heat Pump and EV charger. I researched Green Team One and found their website to be very comprehensive, full of useful and pertinent information and clearly focussed on customer need and delivery of a high quality bespoke solution with no dependency on any one brand. Rob conducted the initial visit and I knew virtually straight away that this was the company for me. His ability to explain how a solar energy system works and to make you feel going forward that you will be the other half of a partnership inspire confidence and trust. There is no hint of pressure selling but rather an enthusiasm for exploring and finding the right solution for the customer. If you choose to go ahead, there is a technical survey. Mine was carried out by Tom, another impressive member of the team. My intallation was started within 4 weeks. The workmanship of Ryan (panels) and Ellis and Ian (electrics) was exemplary; additionally, they were pleasant and proficient throughout. The office staff (Debs and Terry) are equally good and an integral part of a cohesive team. I am delighted with my solar energy system. It is working just as I was informed it would and is already producing excellent results, even in November. It cost less than I thought it would and will pay for itself in a shorter timeframe than I expected. Everything is backed up by long manufacturer’s guarantees and a 10 year workmanship warranty. The icing on the cake was Rob’s return visit after installation to check in person that I was happy and to give me a tutorial on the Apps and how to get the best from the system and my tariff. Rob and Green Team were recommended to us by someone in the renewables business who had used them on his own house. Rob gave us a clear and objective assessment of our needs and the options available, and took the time to answer all of our questions. When minor problems came up Green Team were there to help sort them out. We could not have chosen better.

First class service – until something goes wrong We decided to try it with solar panels, after having quite a long time of hesitation and research. I have spoken with a lot of salespeople trying to sell all kind of things most of them not proper to our needs, presenting out of the blue figures (I happens to have a strong background in designing algorithms for combined solar systems). Allan from GreenTeamOne was helpful and honest presenting us a system fit for purpose. The Electricians and roofers were friendly and efficient; the installation went nice and smoothly; the installation happened in Bristol, end of June 2025. But now problems appear. Problem no1: while removing the scaffolding, the guttering was snapped (nothin serious but annoying when it rains). The problem was moved several times between the Green Team One and the scaffolding company with the conclusion that Green Team One will fix it. The Green Team One sent a “specialist”: one to have a look, second, he did not appear, third to discover he cannot climb on the ladder. Finally, at the fourth attempt with a mini scaffolding, he managed to apply a patch. But the disaster stroke again: when the dismantled the scaffolding, thy managed to break the security light – I must replace it now and ask for reimbursement. So finally, after 3 months we managed to fix a trivial problem with a diy solution and just £30 damage Problem no2: You would expect to have all the document and be able to apply for an export MPAN in about 2-3 weeks after the installation concluded, as advertised by Allan – bad luck here too – we got the documents end of September too – it may be the DNO, but seems the bad luck sits with the same client. In conclusion, two stars for the good installation, the missing stars is for missing documents and after care.

Rob and the team are excellent. They installed a very complex large ground mounted system (40+ panels) on 3 phase, with a significant cable run of over 100 metres with large stacked battery array perfectly and in a listed building complex. I interviewed many many local (and some national) companies and it was clear to see the GreenTeam guys were by some distance the most knowledgeable on what was a pretty unusual installation. The prelim work was fantastic and included a drone survey, the various options were discussed on panel sizes and quantities and the team were great at tweaking specification during the process. Installation was completely as described and the guys on site were fantastic. The quote given was highly competitive and there was zero sales BS or pressure to sign anything. There's so many random companies out there touting that they know what they are doing in solar but GreenTeam One are the real deal. If you have a remotely unusual install also would highly recommend.

Excellent after sales. Tom responded to my call on Thursday by turning out early Saturday to remount the battery after water ingress to the garage.

All I wanted was an upgrade to my inverter. after listening to my request to understand my reasoning (checking that it would be a benefit to my system and not just an expensive unnecessary upgrade) Rob and his team couldn’t have been more helpful. with the system I have they found the best inverter for the job and at a price that was very competitive with other quotes I had received. Brin the installer turned up at the agreed time and i have nothing but praise for his workmanship and attitude. If i want anything else upgrading or replaced in future green team one will be my 1st port of call

Green Team One fitted 14 solar panels and a battery for us a couple of weeks ago. From the very first contact they were exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and diligent. We met Alex and Tom before the installation. Alex explained our options and worked out a plan for us, including the profile of our energy generation. Our house access is quite awkward and Tom came with his drone to double check the plan. Ryan, Bryn and Ellis did the installation over two days and then Allan took us through the system, explaining how we can control it, including advising on tariffs etc. All the way through, Debs, kept us informed and coordinated the work. I cannot recommend Green Team highly enough and feel in safe hands for the future should we need their help.

Great service from Green Team One. Communication throughout the process was spot on. We had plenty of notice as to what was happening when. The team took the time to explain the design, the benefits of the equipment and were accommodating to minor changes - while working hard to ensure we understand all the output rates that the different changes made. I had the Tesla Powerwall 3 fitted with 18 440w panels, I met Tom and Rob who gave me the options available, both were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, i was kept up to date with everything by Debs who was fantastic. DNO approval was granted and work commenced a few weeks after. The installers themselves were great and the speed at which everything was done was incredible, the panels have been fitted very low profile to the roof and look brilliant, I asked them to swap out our massive high profile tile vents on the day to help this and they were only too happy to help. The wiring to the Powerwall is super neat and tidy, shielded with conduit making it not stand out like hell against our rendered white wall. I got a call a day after to check we were happy which we very much were. The support afterwards is excellent with Allan who came round to help set things up, make sure you're on the most beneficial tariff and provide ongoing support. The whole process end to end was brilliant, I'm likely to get aircon fitted with them later on in the year too. I'd recommend them to anyone.

To do a reinstall of a battery storage system Customer Service Quality Value August 21st 2024 I commission an online company (not Greenteam One)to add a battery storage to an existing solar array. They came up with a very attractive quotation so I awarded them the contract. The installation was not only dangerous but failed to meet the warranty for the givenergy products, and other essential regulatory requirements,worse was their abject refusal to correct the work. After a long battle and with the help of my bank I was able to get a significant refund from this rogue company. A very painful and worrying experience. Greenteam one got to hear about my appalling experience and offered to do a complete reinstall of the equipment, which i agreed. What a difference, the professional approach, attention to detail, consideration given to me my property and equipment was first rate. I now have a system that is safe and fully compliant with regulations and warranty. I cannot recommend Rob, Tom and Greenteam one highly enough. An excellent company that deserves to succeed. Green Team One installed our solar panels the week of Good Friday. They have been excellent throughtout. We were impressed with the initial meeting we had with them and the detail they went into.The installation went very smoothly. They had a slight delay with a part delivery but offered to finish up on the Good Friday BH so we were up and running that weekend. They went above and beyond as well to tidy up our meter boxes which had been left in a state by a previous car charger installer. Since installation, there has been frequent contact and support available. A very professional team every member of which has been personable and polite to engage with. We are thrilled with our panels and wish we had sorted them ages ago.

Everyone I dealt with during the planning and installation processes were professional, courteous and knowledgeable.

After many hours researching the world of domestic solar solutions we narrowed the search to three companies for quotes. Green Team One were excellent from start to finish. Rob the initial Sales person was great. He had all of the science & options with great explanations to make it super easy to understand. He was never once Salesy or pushy. Just gave me the facts on the various options in the market & his thoughts. The great service followed on from there & I couldn't fault any part of the process. The scaffolders we all prompt & tidy, then the site survey & install team were also great. The electricians were again very neat & went the extra mile to ensure the job was exactly to my needs, making the cabling so neat you can barely notice any change from the outside of the house. They also put in an extra long shift to ensure my job was completed in 1 day & didn't just clock off at 4pm like some tradesmen do. I would 100% recommend this company & wish I had taken this step sooner. I had the Ecoflow system with 15Kw batteries & its already producing great results in the winter. Top job. Thankyou

We went with Green Team One to add a home battery system and new EV charger to our existing Solar Edge PV array in Cardiff and are so glad we did. The service was excellent - they warned me at the start that they didn't chase or push for sales (and that sometimes meant we would have to chase them!) but I personally liked that attitude after we'd experienced the opposite from others we'd had quotes from. The efficiency they showed meant we had our whole system installed and working within 3 weeks of my enquiry. Tom came to assess the site then Brindley and Josh completed the installation. All were incredibly helpful, polite, efficient and professional and then to follow up Rob came out (on a weekend!) to check we were happy with everything and the system was operating well. We have been so excited to see the battery using our solar power to minimise our grid power (even in a cloudy February!) and we've been given some great advice on how to optimise the system for our lifestyle. I would absolutely recommend them, and I'd say their values and mission are values actually lived by the company from what we have experienced. Oh - and the quote was the most competitive too!

The experience was personal and bespoke, Rob visited in person and designed a system that met our needs and budget, using the most suitable panels & battery for us. They had no issue taking on a job that some of the big name brands wouldn’t touch (panels around a dormer window). The install was neat and efficient, with great post-install support. Very happy customer, would use them again!

Robs team advised on and installed my solar panels and battery, advising on the best & most cost effective option, (not advising me to spend 5 grand more). . He then sorted me out an ashp and an a2a heating system. . They not only did a good job, but sorted out “issues arising” and also dealt with issues that arose with my car charger that was nothing to do with them! . They have become real friends and an ongoing support I trust implicitly. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Just want to say how delighted I am with my Solar installation! From cradle to grave Green Team One provided an outstanding service, pre installation everything was explained clearly and no pushy salesperson trying to make a sale, Tom who carried out the pre installation survey spent time planning the best way to get the cables from the front top floor to the rear bottom in the garage area keeping visible cables minimal and neat, the installation was in fact very neat and tidy and the electricians updated me all along the journey. When the Solar panels were being installed, the engineer actually advised of a gap above the chimney that would look odd and advised that a panel would fit there, it was something we hadn’t considered and raises my maximum output from 7.05kwh to nearly 7.5Kwh. All the work was completed promptly, actually quicker than initially planned. Also when I found that my battery was not charging, the Green Team One back up service was first class, it was a simple calibration issue that they remotely carried out. I repeat I am delighted and would recommend Green Team One to all my friends and relatives. Thank you Green Team One!

Great service all round from Green Team One. Communication was great at every step of the process. The installation tied in with having other work done on my roof. Everything has tied in very well and happened very quickly.

Green team one. Our initial meeting with Rob was an education. The science of electricity using panels and batteries was clearly explained, not by a salesman but by an experienced engineer. Very good use was made of the laptop to introduce the designs and the mathematical calculations were correct and convincing when judging the possible size of batteries for the system. There were many emails exchanged and telephone conversations with understandable explanations of possible systems. The pricing was competitive with other quotations. Installation by Tom was impressive. It occurred on the day it was booked, started early and finished very late, without any breaks. He took great pride to ensure that everything was perfect and shared his vast technical knowledge at an appropriate level for a layman. Nothing was too much trouble and he was an outstanding worker and a perfectionist. Advice was freely given on the choice of electricity provider, and we agreed on which special offer to choose. Green Team One provided all the documentation to forward to the new provider and for the Feed In Tariff (FIT). As a customer, we were delighted to receive a follow-up visit from Rob to evaluate the system. He also can access the system and provide updated information as ongoing support. Overall, I recommend Green Team One without reservation.

Rob came out to survey my property and provided very clear explanations of several options, their costs, and their associated return on investment. He took the time to run through various combinations of systems with me, at a level to suit my understanding and knowledge. Given the current financial climate, especially the rising costs of energy my father has been extremely worried about our household electricity usage. I suggested that it might be worth looking into solar panels. I went to a site which compared companies and sent my contact details to the top 3 companies. Rob from Green Team One was the 2nd of those three companies to do an assessment and quote. Put simply, the first company sent a salesman whereas Rob's approach was more like that of a scientist. Whilst still being enthusiastic about the job he was realistic in the challenges we would be faced with which was extremely reassuring to see. Green Team One offered a significantly better system for a lower price than their nearest competitor. When they came to the installation it was excellent, I have never seen anyone work as hard as Tom and the finish of his wiring is just an absolutely unfathomable level of perfectionism. The ongoing support from Green Team One is also top notch and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I do not normally bother reviewing anything unless it's to complain but I literally recommend these guys to anyone I meet who mentions solar panels. Honestly if you are considering getting solar panels on your house then go to Green Team One because they are the best.

We are absolutely delighted with the work that Green Team One have done for us. The battery is working well, in addition to the solar panels recommended by Rob a while back. We have found all of the staff very efficient and helpful. The ongoing support we receive is much appreciated and they are very patient with our lack of techy know-how. We are learning fast!! Starting our journey into getting solar panels, My first contact was with Rob from Green Team One. Within minutes of the conversation starting, I knew that this was the company that would be installing the panels/inverter/battery system. Rob was very knowledgeable and supportive of our position. At no point, did I detect any sales techniques, he was just completely straightforward, logical and factual This was not my experience with other companies that I considered. There were a few practical issues running up to the installation - space was very limited for the scaffolding, these issues were overcome efficiently and effectively by the Green Team One Team and the installation started, only taking a couple of days. Tom the main installer, like Rob, was immensely practical, foreseeing issues and solving them straight away or building the solutions into the plan. His attention to detail was second to none and I enjoyed his company for the time he was here. The team were very respectful of our property and we felt fully engaged at all times. All the associated mess with the job was cleared to the point that we hardly knew that they had been here, apart from panels on the roof and a few big boxes on the wall in an unobtrusive place I would, and will, recommend Green Team One to anyone considering going solar in the highest and strongest terms - As Tony the Tiger says, ‘They’re Grreat!’
