Excellent company. I have been using them for a number of years, initially to install a new boiler and since to carry out it's annual service. Their engineers are always very professional, helpful and explain everything in layman's terms. Plus, they offer real value for money compared to some more nationally recognised household brands.

Arranging the installation of our replacement boiler online was incredibly easy, and everything was clearly outlined and followed up promptly by the team. On the day of installation, the engineers arrived punctually and professionally, taking the time to walk us through the job, explaining clearly where they’d need access and how the installation would be carried out. They used electronic tools throughout, which made the process transparent and seamless. A real highlight was their attention to detail and consideration of our home environment—especially important since we work from home. They clearly notified us ahead of time if and when the electrical supply would need to be temporarily isolated, which allowed us to plan accordingly with minimal disruption. The engineers' housekeeping was impeccable—everything was left exactly as it was found, and their respect for our space was obvious. Despite our busy household, including two lively cockapoos, the team worked with calm professionalism, making sure everyone (pets included!) was safe and comfortable throughout. I had my gas boiler serviced in November. I paid the engineer in cash. I then received another bill for the same job. I paid again by mistake. I have emailed and called many times but now I'm being ignored. The company doesn't care.

Brilliant service from two very friendly and hard working staff. They helped explain the job to me and helped overcome issues that were related to the house and not the install. The quality of work from the two boys fitting the system was exemplary. The solar panel fitters we equally as efficient and friendly but I had less to do with them as they were in the roof. I would highly recommend this company if all their staff are as professional and empathetic as these were. Thank you

If Carlsberg did solar panel installation ......they were brilliant from start to finish. Incredibly polite and courteous a credit to Gas tech Wales. They travelled 3 hours to our home and 3 hours back everyday and worked there socks off. I woukd highly recommend this company in future.

The office is very good at wrangling the various teams involved in solar installation. Sometimes, a team is overstretched, at least that’s what it feels like so it makes delivery on a promised day a bit hit and miss. But the support and work behind the scenes is clearly very dedicated and thorough.

Gas Tech Wales installed my Solar system on behalf of EoN. The installers did a good job all done as you would expect. My experience was OK except that the back up project support was poor due to inadequate communication, correct parts selection and keeping the customer informed in a timely manner. Gastech's on going solar system servicing has been responsive and sympathetic as my battery has been effected by frequent software issues requiring a number of firmware updates some of which failed. Eventually the battery suppliers seem to have resolved these issues and the system is working as specified, just 5 months after initial install. So all good fingers crossed! It's now 10 months since initial install and I'm still having software issues that affect the battery's performance. Gastech continue with good sympathetic service and we have a software issue thar is proving difficult to resolve as it keeps changing its effect. Gastech have agreed to keep a watching brief over the next few weeks after today's fix involving a battery DC direct charge to get it out of a 0% SOC. Also a firmware update and a recalibration of the battery were carried out and its now working as expected. 🤞🤞 Following Gas Tech's last visit in Jan 2024 my battery / inverter system has been performing brilliantly. But this weekend 01/07/24 due to an Internet disruption and perhaps involving a concurrent software update it decided to throw a wobble and discharge to zero with no return to life. Since my initial install EoN and Givenergy have made it mandatory to have a protective canopy over outdoor installs snd they wouldn't attend the fault until a canopy was fitted. Gas Tech Wales came to my rescue today Tuesday and put every thing right. Great service and expertise to solve problems. 👍👍👍

Took multiple attempts to install solar to a satisfactory standard which they never managed. Still waiting for them to contact me about issues raised after an audit and never had the app set up by them. Wish I'd never had the panels installed. Solar panels installed through an OVO scheme.

Definitely a 5 Star service. Gas Tech installed solar panels on my property. Which involved putting up the scaffolding, fitting the panels on the roof, and installing the electrical hardware for the system to work. The work aside from the scaffolding, was carried out over one working day by two teams of people working seamlessly together. The manner in which the work was carried out was faultless. The Office staff are every bit as good as the engineers carrying out the installation.

Gas Tech Wales installed my solar system and I was suitably impressed with the quality and standard of work of all the staff. In total 6 members of staff (2 Scaffolders, 2 Roofers, an Electrician and the Project Manager) attended. All were cheerful and professional and a joy to have working on our property. I recommend them and thank them for a job extremely well executed.

Just had a solar installation done by these guys. All of the people involved (electricians, scaffolders, panel fitters, etc.) were polite and professional; the install was arranged through OVO and their people onsite were also great. When the planned approach was determined to be slightly wrong -- two strings where one was more appropriate -- they very quickly agreed to the needed changes and got the design updated. Very professional work that is neat and tidy, with my need to work from home being taken into account -- power was only off for about 20 minutes. Scaffolding went up on Monday, installation was done on Wednesday and Thursday, Scaffolding removed on Friday. Overall very pleased and would happily have more work done by Gas Tech Wales.

Gas Tech Wales fitted our (12) Solar Panels Thursday 22/06/2023 They arrived within the time frame advised, were polite, courteous and basically just got on with the job and carried on to finish it. We couldn't have asked for better. We were very pleased with Gas Tech Wales.

All the teams of workman extremely friendly, yet professional and polite. A real asset to the company. But let down by the company’s organisational skills. Had to take two and a half days off work for a days job!

Took a while to get an appt due to the service engineer being off sick. However, they arrived at the time they said, did a good service and also checked out my heating clock which they discovered was not working and got me a new one. Friendly, helpful engineer. Tidy worker.

I would have given x5 stars as the guy's were great. But with my experience with EON my order guys. A long wait for install. Now my initial install with gas tech was 07.02.23as of today 17.03.23 I'm still waiting for little niggles to be sorted. So frustrated is a mild comment.

Chuffed to bits with the work undertaken by the Gas Tech staff installing out Solar Panels and Battery. Everyone within their organisation was professional, efficient, informative and tidy. The work was completed when they said it would be done and within the timings given. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Overall a very positive experience with Gas Tech, who fitted a solar/battery system for us. There were supply issues with the battery, but these were beyond Gas Tech's control, so they fitted our panels first and then returned a few months later to fit the batteries when they became available.

Fast, efficient service

I must say that Martin Hillard has been extremely helpful when I had to change my internet router with support on the phone and by sending someone to help me get the system back online!

Arrived on time and did a good job.

The solar fitting team were great. Professional, respectful , friendly and swift. There were problems with communications and being told team were coming so I missed work and he didn't show up or let me know. I tried to rearrange and again this was problematic with call handlers saying I'd be called back and then not hearing anything ..it took 2+ weeks before a team member showed up without enquiring whether it was convenient to repair the slates that got broken in the installation and to have access to our loft. There was one serious problem with one call handler who didn't listen to the issues we'd been having, spoke over me and then he couldn't handle being told he needed to listen.

First contact was great, really helpful. But after that it was terrible service. My mother was left for 2 weeks with the house in a mess waiting for them to come back. She may have a new boiler but the state of her living room has been left in is going to cost a fortune to make good. If I'd known it would be left like this I would have gone with the slightly more expensive quite who said they would make good of whatever was dismantled. A measly £100 taken off the bill as a good will gesture for all of the terrible service and lack of communication doesn't really cut it. Not even the 1 free service will persuade me to let them in my mother's house again.

We had boiler installed by this business a year ago, and that was all OK, everything was dealt with and timely - you'd expect that for thousands of £ worth of work. Fast forward 12 months for it's service & they didn't want to know. They booked in the job, I took a day off work to be here. Engineer "called in sick" but we didn't find out until I rang in. Rebooked for the following week - guess what? Engineer "Called in sick" again. My mother had to drive a 2 hour round trip to let the engineer in as I had been called into work unexpectedly. We only found out because she called to find out where they were to be told they weren't coming. Wasting her time too. Apparently they had 6 jobs in the local area, so it wasn't because of our postcode, but when I asked the next day, they said it was 8... Now they are saying they don't have any available slots until January because of breakdowns. They have had an answer for everything we've said to avoid the job. What are the odds, the engineer would be sick again, near enough a week later? Totally disrespectful of our time, it's just a shame someone wasn't honest with us before we wasted our time booking this in with them, twice.

Initial contact with the office was good. However our straight forward Solar Panel (on behalf of EON) install started off with the first team turning up at 11am. After running out if time, they left with a second team returning 3 days later. The first team, left the electrical work that had to be installed in a downstairs bedroom, in a messy state. Little consideration was given to the appearance as the newly painted room that was left very dirty and the Isolator and Control box was fitted a distance away from where it could have been fitted. We now have to appoint a carpenter to build a box around the boxes. The second team arrived early enough and completed the work fine. However, I felt that more time could have been spent showing us around the equipment to explain how it all worked and what to do with the software perhaps. An update. The system did not work correctly from installation and after speaking with the Battery/Inverter manufacturers, it was found the system was incorrectly fitted, hence the reversed readings. After a few weeks, they returned to repair, only to have damaged one of the sensor wires, requiring yet another visit. After over a month, it is now working fine.

All the Gas Tech installers were a joy to have on our porperty accept for one electrician whose attitude , manner and general demeanour was offensive to me and my wife. I was asked to sign on three separate documents that was not shown to me. This is highly irregular. The Givenergy battery was mounted crooked and the next day when some errors in the. electrical connections had to be rectified, I pointed this out and an attempt was made straighten the inverter. This electrician did not even pride in how the labels were placed on the inverter and battery. They were put on crooked. We got the impression that he thought he was doing us a favour. Really disappointed. Because of this one offensive individual, I would have great difficulty in recommending Gas Tech. Finally, they did not link up my Zappi charger even though I offered to call the Zappi engineer to explain to them what needed to be done. This is not a unique request as the internet is full of what the correct procedure be to link my Zappi charger. No one explained how the software works nor what my preferences are as I installed the system to charge my car via solar only. Sad how one individual can undo the work of his colleagues and employer by poor attitude.

Right from my first telephone call through to the completion of the solar panels installation I found the firm to be excellent. Claire from admin was especially helpful in making sure I knew what was happening and when. The chaps came on the due date and carried out the work well - or as much as I knew of it as being elderly I was unable to see much of the work. The men were polite and respectful and cleared up very well before departure

Working on behalf of EON, Gas Tech Wales arrived on time, listened to my concerns and requests, were clear regarding what they could and would do and carried out the work to a high degree of satisfaction. Both employees were polite, humorous and hard working. Over the two days of having pipework, radiators and boiler installed and also the removal of a water tank they left the property clean and tidy with updates on how the work was going and what was remaining. On completion of the work full, clear advice was given on the operation of the system with the commitment to come back and check if any problems were experienced. What more could you ask for really. I would not hesitate to recommend their service.

The engineers that installed our boiler today were brilliant. Very friendly and worked flat out the entire time they were here. Top service from all three. Would definitely recommend them. Gas Tech came to my home in October 2020 to fit a boiler on behalf of Eon Energy. Whilst fitting the boiler the engineers melted a water pipe and an electrical cable whilst joining new pipework to old (a protective gauze should have been used) . This has caused a water leak spanning over 14 months which started to come through in December 2021. Currently I have over £1500 worth of damage still not attended too in my kitchen (see photos). Neither Gas Tech or Eon want to address the problem now, neither are answering their emails or phonecalls and a formal complaint has been rejected by Eon. Gas Tech are for some reason saying their not responsible for the work. Stay very clear of this company if you want work done by them. Their nothing more than a bunch of cowboys that think it's acceptable to come into someone's home, cause extensive damage and walk away. If looking for a boiler stay clear of Eon, as aftercare service is non existant. The matter is being taken further now through the ombudsmans service and court action.

Completely wasted my time twice. It’s a shame as the engineers who came out were very helpful. Took a day off in January for a service that never happened. Then, in October I paid a £1000 deposit with another company for a fire installation based on a telephone operator and engineer confirming they could remove an old gas fire, they took 2 days to call me back and will not do the work. My deposit is at risk because of their mixed messages.

I called in Gastech Wales when British Gas were unable to attend to my boiler breakdown because of industrial action. Their engineer Jamie arrived first thing the following morning, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it just as quickly. Whilst checking everything for safety he identified an installation fault that had also been missed on previous British Gas service visits. I will be placing my future service contract with Gastech on the strength of this performance - full marks!

We were a little concerned after out initial survey but we had a new boiler fitted by them today and everything was spot on. They were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was tidied up after job and fully explained. Highly recommend.

Do not rely on this company..... They will fabricate & try to rip you off. Back in March we had, Gas Tech Wales call and approve, the “Grant Funding Boiler scheme” The man from Gas Tech Wales arrived, surveyed our home. After taking photos and checking the boiler & radiators he than went on to quoted me, a whopping “£720” cost towards a new boiler, as it will have to be a “larger Boiler to take the work”. (I have the agreement to show) I had to call Gas Tech Wales back a few weeks later and was told it was all approved by EDF energy and work will begin as soon as a date is available for one of their engineers. No one ever called back. After a couple of calls to Gas Tech Wales, random people would just pick up the phone and tell me they they were still arranging a date or it has yet to be signed off by EDF. It is now October and still no new boil from Gas Tech Wales. When I called them in early October, they still are making excuses. Please to say we called our energy provider “Octopus Energy” Who arrange for an engineer to call within two weeks. I am now the proud owner of a new boiler at the cost of only “£250’ (not the £720.00, Gas Tech Wales quoted me) My new boiler is now fully installed, all under three weeks of my call to Octopus Energy. I would be interested to know as to why I was quoted such a large price for a boiler by Gas Tech Wales and as to why you never called back?

They have a out of hour service. Called it useless. Installed a new boiler, found the water in let pipe leaking. Causing damp on to my wall. Was advised to switch off water and call back in two days time to get it repaired. I have two children how do you expect me me to have no water in my house for two days. Had to argue with them. I will be taking this case up with e.on they need to use more of a reputable company.

I had my boiler fitted the boys were amazing the boss came to my home in January I had no heating no hot water nothing ... I have to say they all were amazing had a little bit of banging from my pipes rang them within an hr somebody was out an sorted the problem i cannot fault them myself ....

Had a new boiler and radiators fitted a couple of weeks ago by gas tech. Absolutely brilliant service by gas techs Lee cable. Very clean, put down protective floor coverings and did a really neat job on the boiler and rads. Extremely polite, and courtious and went out of their way to provide an excellent service, even coming out early on the second day to catch me before I went to work, which was very early for them having to travel to Swansea from Ebbw Vale way. Fitted my cousins boiler last week. Boiler inoperable as of this morning. Phoned up and they said to put hair dryer on pipe going into boiler! Although cold water is running ok... No assistance offered. 👎🏻
