Had an urgent/emergency safety electrical issue on a Sunday afternoon during the Christmas break, called AWP (who I found online) as my previous electrician was on holiday and they answered immediately and were with me within an hour or so (as they were already on another job). Identified and sorted the problem and gave me helpful further advice. very reasonable callout charge considering the timing and circumstances! The electrician was polite and attentive at all times. Having done some rewiring in my garage/workshop, I contacted AWP Electrical to come and do a safety check of my work. They responded to my call/message very quickly and saw me the same week. Managed to overload a plug socket taking out a couple of others at the same time. AWP arrived when they said they would and had everything working again in 10 minutes.

Very nice when they came round but I had to chase for my report which, according to two other electricians, was of poor quality & couldn't be used to undertake the electrical work needed to repair the system. They quoted me £3.5k for electrical work that I had done by another electrician for £1.2. Not sure what happened in my case but I'm not very impressed.

I had a faulty bathroom light. As I had a fuse board replacement done very efficiently a few years ago by AWP Electrical I contacted them again. The online form was easy and the reply came the same day. I was offered an appointment in two days and Andy arrived on time and fixed the fault quickly. Excellent service. I had already had an inspection from a different electrician when I contacted AWP. They were excellent in all respects, detailing the issues and providing me with an detailed quote to carry out the repairs. They performed all the required work to budget, exactly when they said they would and left the place neat and tidy. My Landlord called them when a fuse kept tripping. Worst company ever and they are extremely rude. They said the electrics are unsafe and they wouldn’t touch it, appeared to be annoyed with me which is very odd behaviour since I was renting. My isolation switch went on my shower so I gave AWP a call and spoke with Andy who first reassured me that I was not in any danger.I explained the problem to Andy and sent him a picture of the switch. He managed to fit me in the very next day which is great service. Andy arrived the next day on time when he said he would very friendly guy and very knowledgeable about the issue in hand.The problem was fixed in no time with no fuss no mess i would deffo recommend and use AWP Electrical & Son again very happy and very professional job thanks Andy.

Owner, Andy, has just about the worst attitude imaginable, not a friendly man. A distinct lack of regard for anyone else. My partner booked AWP and I wish he hadn’t. We had to get someone else in to finish the job as they left it half done. Cowboys, avoid at all costs.

Andy & Sam installed an extractor fan for our cooker and did a fantastic job. They managed to do a neater job than was initially described by passing the cable through the cavity and not chasing out the wall. Even though there were unexpected obstacles and the job took a little longer than they expected, they did not increase the price and were unnecessarily apologetic. Overall, great value for money and a lovely father son duo - will definitely be using them in future for any other work required.

Andy and Sam did a great job on our house. We had a full rewire completed in a 3 bed house. Andy was very helpful and easy to communicate with from the start - testing of old system through to planning rewire and during and after the job was completed. They were very accommodating in understanding plans for where house layout would be altered after the rewire. Jessica also very responsive in the office.

I've been using AWP for my electrical repairs for the past 6 months and have been impressed every time with their promptness and level of service.

We had a trip switch that kept tripping and took out power to our kitchen, AWP were able to attend under 2 hours after contacting them and identified and repaired the issue in under 15 minutes (Sink leaking onto a socket under the counter!). They offered advice about various other issues I enquired about and were very helpful and friendly throughout.

Andy was brought in (by my landlord) first to replace my shower unit that had been recently incorrectly installed by another company, so was very grateful for him to have fixed the mistake of the other company and ensure that I had hot water running in my shower for the winter! He's then recently come back twice to carry out an electrical safety test and install a new smoke alarm. Andy's always very professional and wears PPE, and is just an all-around lovely and nice guy. AWP Electrical are my go to electricians in Bath over the years. Trustworthy, professional and always on time! They were even early for this appointment! My bathroom fan gave up after 10+ years. They came and replaced the fan in great time. They were really respectful of our space and wore a face mask throughout their visit (my partner is quite deligient with social distancing!). Highly recommend!
