I recently had my boiler repaired. The service provided (from my initial call through to the repair) was extremely efficient. All staff were friendly, knowledgeable and have your best interests at heart, considering the current cost of living! Highly recommend.

We have used G.Phillips for many years and have always had the highest level of service. Over the years the company has serviced our central heating boiler and also completed two installations. The quality of work provided by the engineers on site is of the highest standard. The office staff are always helpful and courteous. Recently, we had an issue with our existing Baxi boiler which is still under warranty. Water was leaking from it and it was no longer working. Although G.Phillips could not repair the boiler as it was under warranty they still came out on the same day and were able to stop the leak and adjust the pressure so that the boiler could function pending the visit from Baxi. They also arranged an urgent call out from Baxi and made them aware of the parts needed for the repair. Exceptional service !

From 1st second to very last second of coming to fit our new boiler the lads were absolutely fantastic,so professional in every way.Kept me up to date on what they were doing and when finished they left our home immaculate after explaining on how the new boiler works.Great company with a great bunch of lads.

He was extremely friendly, professional, and remarkably thorough with his work. What I appreciated most was that he took the time to clearly talk me through everything he was doing, as well as what maintenance to keep an eye on for the future. We recently had a 20-panel, 8.9 kWh Hinen solar system installed, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Jack turned up on Easter Saturday fixed the problem of the Pump freezing in what seemed no time at all! Couldn’t have asked for more brilliant and a a lovely guy. We recently used G.Phillips to replace our old boiler and water tank with a new combi boiler. The three lads arrived first thing in the morning and never stopped all day. They were very knowledgeable and professional throughout, and left the place very clean and tidy afterwards. Really pleased with the work and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic team that always do the extra to get a really decent job done. Just turn up and do the work, no fuss and no mess left ever. Explain everything really well even when I understand nothing of the system and invoicing is really simple to sort out and always transparent. Every one here makes what is quite an intimidating topic for me, due to lack of understanding, really easy to deal with, just give them a call.

The 5 workmen from G Phillips came on Tuesday and fitted a Combi boiler. They were excellent and hoovered up when the work was finished. They come and do the yearly service

Incredible service from G. Phillips Heating! Contacted them after the bath leaked through into the ceiling and Ross came straight out the next day and fitted a new plug and pipe work. Very friendly, tidy and did an excellent job! 5*!

Iv just had a new boiler, manifold and pipes all done by phillips. They're very professional, friendly and efficient. Afterwards everything was tidied and hoovered as if they hadn't been i will definitely recommend them and will use again in the future.

After being let down by my regular plummer, I was given the name of G PHILLIPS CENTRAL HEATING AND PLUMMING by a friend of mine. Phoned yesterday. Got an appointment on today. Jack did a great job, as the pressure had increased after id bled the radiators, got Jack to also service the boiler, too. Id certainly recommend this plumbing company!!! Thanks guys!!

Our boiler developed a leak which required me to have a large container placed beneath it.After being let down by a local plumber over the course of 10 days with various excuses we contacted Phillips who came out the following day to assess the fault.Jack Phillips determined the fault and returned shortly after to replace the faulty component. What a relief.Quick, efficient, professional and dependable. Exactly what you want when you have a boiler breakdown.Well done.

We always have G Philips service our boiler and we had to replace our current one, they have been brilliant from the beginning to finish and even afterwards as we are selling our house and normally have to wait for the warranty and gas safe certificate posted to us but it can take weeks and we need it urgently due to the sales. They have been very helpful and sorted all the documents for us. Couldn’t recommend them enough. We will continue book them to service our boiler in the new house after we move

My elderly mother has used G. Philips Heating & Solar Services in Ashington for 15 to 20 years to provide all her plumbing and heating needs. G. Philips have always provided an exceptional service and given that my (now) 101 year old mother has dementia, and is therefore extremely vulnerable, it was so important for us to know that the heating engineer would be kind and considerate. Every engineer, without exception, has always been totally respectful and when carrying out works at mum's house they have called me to update me what needed to be done and why. My mum had a new boiler fitted by G. Philips in 2020 and they did an amazing job providing a 10 year guarantee and also being prepared to come back out and change the digital thermostat they installed as my mum couldn't understand it. They did this with good grace and no charge! The staff in the office have been superb too and have always been happy to get someone out to my mums property if there was an issue with the boiler or the heating. As I live 300 miles away they have been happy to send invoices to me, rather than my mum, and accept payments over the phone. I cannot recommend G. Philips highly enough and I would like to thank them for years of top class service. 5*+ for service and quality of workmanship.

Called out as an emergency due to a punctured pipe, the receptionist was brilliant and communicated very consistently keeping us at ease, the gents arrived in good time considering and got the issue repaired in a few minutes and even bled out rads for us. They left a card for me to book my boiler service which we really appreciated and the price was very generous which we appreciated a lot also. 10/10 would recommend to anyone Luke and Dayna

My parents have used this company for around 10 years as they are so reliable. Recently, they have really helped me out after we’d had some terrible work done by another firm with our boiler. The heating engineer was excellent: He was professional, patient with my questions, quiet and tidy working on both boiler services and gas checks. Further, he offered to help out with a quick task for him that was a huge help and relief to my sister and I in helping mum as we live far away. He called as he was setting off and also, G Phillips accommodated our particular request for day/times so we could be there with mum as she is vulnerable. Had a gas leak in my house and the lads did a great job solving the fault and installing new gas pipe. They completed the job in good time so we were back up and running on gas. I would highly recommend G.Phillips and thanks again.

My grandparents boiler broke down over the Christmas period, which was obviously a big concern for the family, but the lads at G Phillips came to the rescue and managed to remove their old boiler and replace it, in a quick and professional manor, in just a matter of days. The price was very reasonable given the quality of service and I would recommend to anyone!

Contacted G Phillips concerning my boiler failing, they arrived within 2 hours and fixed the issue. Jack was very professional and his explanation concerning the fault was very clear. First time I have used G. Phillips and will not be the last.

Got these plumbers number off a friend. Phoned them they had a look at the boiler and said they couldn't fix it . They quoted us £3800 for a new boiler RIPP off I got it done for £2500. And when they called in they didn't mention a call out charge which is £75 . They just asked us for our email address then cheekily sent an invoice. RIPP OFF don't use these people

I recently had an issue with my radiators that was causing my boiler to lose pressure. Tom came out on the same day, replaced the broken parts and I haven’t had an issue since. Also had Jack out to service my boiler and the customer service was exceptional. 10/10 service would highly recommend.

Discovered at lunchtime that boiler wasn't working, no heating or hot water. I called Phillips and Jack came out late afternoon and fixed the problem. I can't praise Phillips enough, have been a customer for some years and would not go anywhere else.

I've been using G Phillips for years, for a wide range of jobs regarding heating and plumbing. The staff are always incredibly friendly and professional, no job is ever to small. I have recommended G Phillips to all my friends and family.

Used them 4 times previously and so expected a better service as an existing customer . When I had a semi emergency they Literally made no effort to help, giving a lead time of 5 weeks to get my hot water working again…. . But that’s ok! We got help from gas247 in Newcastle on the spot! G Philips gave us a 5 week lead for the same job. Gas247 is a one man band and resolved our plumbing issues in less than 24 hours. that’s the difference between a company that goes the extra mile and one that doesn’t put itself out for even an existing customer. We won’t be using G Philips again…not that they seemed to care

G. Phillips do the boiler service every year (and have done for 35+ years for the family too) and every time it’s a 10/10 job, staff always friendly and very professional. Always there for emergency call outs which family have needed in the past too. I would always recommend G. Phillips to anyone looking for and needing heating engineers.

Jack and Ross from G Phillips installed a new combi boiler at my property, the service was excellent and all completed to a very high standard. The lads listened to my concerns and understood the needs of the customer, returning a few weeks later to ensure there were no issues. I’ve used G Phillips for a number of years and couldn’t fault them.

The system was not fit for purpose and had 4 heating engineers out previously who did not want the work as it was too complex. Boiler kept dropping pressure even after re-pressurising making hot water and heating very temperamental, not ideal coming into winter. Jack sorted the issue very quickly. Will definitely use again.

Five Plus Stars: We recently had G Phillips Heating Services, Cortech House, Ashington, Northumberland, carry out a new combi boiler installation in our home. The survey was carried out by Gary, who showed great patience while explaining what our needs would be, and what the job would entail, dispelling any concerns we had about the proposed works. From start to finish, we received exceptional customer service from Gary and his team during the installation. We are very pleased with the works carried out…lifting of floorboards in every room, and the renewal of all pipework and radiators. The level of care and attention provided by every member of the team was second to none, we can hardly believe the work was done with no damage to our fireplace and marble, or other parts of our home. We found everyone to be very friendly, pleasant and polite, with a very professional approach to their work, and excellent time keeping. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to our friends and family, in fact, we already have.

I had successfully used G Phillips for annual boiler services, but then moved away from the area and made no further bookings. No complaints at the time. Today I received a phone call from a gas engineer saying that my former property was on his job list for the day. He informed me that I would have received a letter by post (not an email) telling me another service was booked in and that, if I didn't want it, I should have called to cancel. I pointed out that I no longer live in the property and can't cancel something I didn't know about. I also had one missed call last week, but no message, text or email. I did not bother to return that call as I assumed they were ringing to remind me that my annual service was due, and I did not need to book one. It never occurred to me that they would book it in without my knowledge or consent. They claim that they would have not just showed up at my (former) house, but, nevertheless, the phone call was unnerving. I don't think that G Phillips have fully thought through the ramifications of effectively cold calling a customer to say that they're booked in for work that day. In my opinion, this is an unaccepable way to do business, yet they seemed surprised that I was angry about it. Ultimately they were receptive to feedback and I hope they change their practices and improve their communications. Communication appears to be via phone call (and snail mail) only. There are no formal booking confirmations and communicating via email or text message did appear not occur to them.

We chose G Phillips to install our solar panels because they are a well established local firm with a fantastic track record, they use high quality panels and batteries and they also offer installation and product warranties so that if there are any issues we would be covered. Our panels were installed quickly and efficiently and the install was done quickly and in a very professional way. Everyone has been very helpful, answering all our questions, responding to emails and phone calls straight away and helping us with all the paperwork. We would definitely recommend
