We've been using CP Jefferies for many years for all of our regular maintenance work across Barrington Park Estate. Daz is our usual engineer, he's extremely knowledgeable and will always try to find a solution to tricky situations. They provide annual services for some installations and respond in a timely manner to emergencies when they can. CP Jefferies have also installed some high end bathrooms for us to a high standard of finish. The office staff are very friendly and efficient at making appointments, always trying to accommodate the time constraints of over 60 different tenants.

The initial assessment and quotation for the work to relocate my solar inverter and battery was clear, and a good solution was proposed. The installers arrived at the agreed time. They worked hard all day and completed the work. The communication was excellent. Very pleased with the whole process.

Avoid and use someone else! We have been a customer for around 9 years. We were sold a boiler by this company and it wasn’t installed properly. We paid for a high spec boiler to run multiple showers, the boiler doesn’t hold the temperature when running multiple showers. Bosch have confirmed it’s an issue with too much water pressure feeding into the boiler. CP Jefferies refuse to accept responsibility for a poor installation and lack of fitting a water pressure reducer. They’ve also fitted an open pipe system in a concealed cupboard resulting in no alert for when the system was leaking and this has now caused extensive damage to our downstairs ceiling. Again no responsibility taken. Customer loyalty counts for nothing with this company. Please, please use someone else. In response to CP Jefferies response: your customer service is appalling, you just batted away every concern that we had. It took you 3 weeks to reply to our initial email and in truth we ran out of energy trying to fight for what was right from your company. Your own engineer even said that the installation was not right!!! In true tradition we have voted with our feet and will not be recommending your services in the future.

John Cassidy visited today to complete our annual service of our Rayburn. He has been a couple of times since we moved to our house and we can’t recommend him highly enough. We are new to having a Rayburn and his help has been invaluable to us.

Marc & Jason of C P Jefferies were fantastic from initial enquirey through to completion and handover of the finished works. These included Solar PV & Battery installation along with Air Source Heat Pump. Their employees were also fantastic on site working with my father who is elderly. I would highly recommedn them for any simialr work, a great team.

A big thank you to Jason and the Renewables team for installing our ASHP system and taking us from an archaic coal fired heating to an environmentally friendly and efficient alternative. Jason's knowledge and enthusiasm was evident as he talked us through the system. Under Jason's supervision, Dan and the team made great progress with very little disruption to ourselves. Daily updates from Jason and Dan were really helpful too. Our home has been transformed and going forward it is reassuring to know we will continue to be supported by Jason and the team.

Very impressed from start to finish with CP Jefferies, new boiler installation. We invited 4 companies to quote for the work within an older property that had been extended a few times over the years. CP Jefferies quote came back in the middle ground on price. Matt conducted a thorough survey and provided a very detailed quotation for the new boiler and extra pipe work, having listened to what we as a family wanted from a new boiler. We went with a new Grant oil (can be converted to bio fuel) boiler with a 10-year warranty, having got 30 years from our last Grant boiler. From day one the installation team, Tom and Charlie were very friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable. Good sign when Tom confirmed he had worked for CP Jefferies for over 16 years. They have their own inhouse electricians, so no hanging around for 3rd party to complete electrical work, one joined up team. Will be using CP Jefferies for all our servicing, heating and general plumbing needs from now on and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a trusted company for similar work.

We have regularly used CP Jeffries for gas and electrical work and have always been really happy with their service and quick response. We have recently had solar panels fitted by themselves and were really impressed how smooth the process was and despite the atrocious weather the job was completed promptly.

C P Jefferies have recently replaced our 15 year old hot water cylinder and air source heat pump with a new Vaillant system. We were really impressed with their advice, technical knowledge and workmanship throughout the installation and with their aftercare. We are very pleased with the new system, which is is user-friendly, easily controllable and very efficient and we would like to thank the whole C P Jefferies team for a professional job and great communication.

We approached C P Jeffries to refurbish our en suite shower room. Michelle the bathroom designer visited our property, came up with some ideas and sent us a quote which allowed us to adjust to keep it in budget. Our fitter Steve was clearly very good at his trade and discussed every step with us and although we had a few problems due to space restrictions, it was dealt with sensitively and minor disruption. We wouldn’t hesitate recommending C P Jeffries and would definitely have them back for any future work.

Due to buying a house with a number of electrical challenges I use CP Jefferies a lot. Absolutely amazing communication from start to finish from Marc and CP Jefferies. The lads that came in to do the work were professional from the start and felt when they had finished the work, like they hadn’t even been in to do the work. As no mess was left anywhere and were respectful of the property. Great aftercare to make sure that everything that was done was to a professional and satisfactory standard to which it was much more. Work was quoted as a 3 day job but got it done in just One Day which was incredible.

I contacted several “Solar Panel/Battery” installers, none of whom visited the site to actually understand our requirements and just quoted based on our address and Google maps. They also insisted on supplying their preferred products which I didn't think would be either compatible or meet our needs. CPJ were contacted as they were listed as Gold Installers by my preferred battery manufacturer and Marc came out to do a aite inspection. It soon became apparent that here was a company that made sure they could do the job before providing a quote. I was impressed with the whole process from CPJ, it was done right from the start, ensuring I understood what would need to be done, challenging my assumptions and requirements and ensuring we git the system that would meet our needs. Installation was a breeze, very efficient and tidy, helped by a very good upfront survey. The onsite engineers made sure that everything was properly connected and labelled showing how much they care and take responsibility for their installation. I highly recommend CP Jefferies for any electrical work.

There doesn’t seem to be the usual question of “How did we do” or some similar Satisfaction numerical box, anywhere on your website. For the record then: your operative, John Cassidy tackled our boiler last year when it was shockingly neglected and managed to free and clean all the baffle plates. It was a pleasure to see him again this year and to know that he had cleaned and serviced the boiler with the same meticulous care. From start to finish CP Jefferies staff have been excellent: understanding our needs, planning and operationalising with care and professionalism. All the CPJ staff we have dealt with (in a week of dealing with a leak, fitting a new boiler, removing a huge and heavy old range and fitting a new cylinder) have been a pleasure to work with. Everything done carefully to a high standard; minimising inconvenience, with the house always left neat and tidy at the end of the day. No hesitation in recommending a very responsive and customer focused organisation with great staff .

We used CPJ to overhaul our electrics and install new radiators. They were very efficient, easy to communicate with and considerate of our home. Highly recommend.

What started as a disastrous week ended a few days later with sheer relief and warmth, thanks to the determined efforts of the team at CP Jefferies, namely Gemma and Louise in the Customer Services team, Dan (plumbing) and Tom the Magician (Oil boiler King). On Monday the housekeeper phoned to advise the heating was not working and there was no hot water. I couldn't get home until Tuesday, and then had a look. Pressure in the system was virtually zero, so I thought there must be a leak somewhere. After topping the system up, I quickly noticed that water was dripping from both flanges either side of the heating pump. We have used CP Jefferies for many years for our boiler and servicing needs, so they were my first point of call. I took a video of the leaks and sent it to CP Jefferies following a call to them. Whilst they could have come out quicker, I had to leave and couldn't get back until Thursday morning. They sent Dan to meet me at 08.00am on Thursday. Dan changed the two seals, pressurised the system and we thought all was OK. The pressure held but the boiler would not fire up. A call back to CP Jefferies and although they were stacked out with breakdowns, between Gemma and Louise, they managed to get Tom and Dan to attend site early pm same day. Tom found that there was no fuel getting to the boiler although there was plenty of oil in the tank. They tried to draw the fuel through, which works if there is an air lock, but to no avail. Tom diagnosed a blocked fuel pipe, disconnected it in several places and somehow managed to clear the blockage. Following on from this, the boiler fired up and everything was back to normal. With half-term approaching and the family due back from the States, this result was absolutely amazing. I just can't thank the team enough nor recommend CP Jefferies enough either. They have some really excellent and dedicated members of staff who are a credit to their company. Thank you all again.

On 8 January 2025 I had a battery storage system carried out by a local firm CP Jefferies Ltd, (to complement existing solar panels). They supplied, installed and commissioned a new consumer unit, a 3.0 kW battery inverter and a 5.12 kWh Eco Li-on battery. The work was done by competent and pleasant staff at CP Jefferies. Unfortunately NOT the best! Taken measurements for a new bath and taps, swap like for like, about 5 weeks ago. Still no idea when this will be done! Might be too big a company for small domestic jobs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We are now day 15 with no heating or hot water following an "Improvement" they made to the system before Christmas. Absolute disregard for getting it sorted. They visited once early this week, 2 young guys fiddled around and also disconnected our washing machine and left it in the middle of the room. Now still no contact, no heating, no hot water, no washing machine at the coldest time of the year. Calling them everyday. Here with 2 young kids. Absolutely useless.

Just don’t bother. A repeat customer who has given them work over the years. Had a longstanding appointment that they cancelled just two days before. Needed it to be done to keep the boiler in Warranty. They don’t offer a re-booking date. If they can’t manage seasonality in their business then they shouldn’t take bookings. Really quite appalling. Look elsewhere.

Had a heavy mirror fall off the wall above a radiator and half rip it out of the wall. Called later that morning to see if they could help. The lady on the phone knew exactly what she was talking about, extremely helpful, and arranged for someone to come that afternoon at 3pm. The engineers turned up bang on 3pm, assessed it and sorted it out within 2 hours. Was left immaculate and good as new. Great experience from start to finish.

During June 2024, CP Jefferies installed a solar panel and battery system in the Ampney Crucis Village Hall. During the planning phase Rob Williams and Marc Cox attended Village Hall meetings and advised us on a range of potential solutions. They were very knowledgeable, approachable, flexible and happy to give us several proposals before we eventually decided on a system that incorporated SolarEdge technology. All the work was completed to an exceptionally high standard, efficiently and in a timely manner. Whilst fitting the solar panels the CPJ team insulated the Hall's loft space too. The final system installation and commissioning was expertly carried out by CP Jefferies’ senior electrician, Nigel Howe, testing the equipment, boxing up all the cables and leaving the Hall clean and tidy. We are really pleased by the performance of the system and we are now realising the benefits, including a reduction in the carbon footprint of the Village Hall and a saving of electricity costs. Cp Jefferies have just completed a second bathroom for our slightly fiddly old house. We are delighted with both. Michelle and Darren were great to work with again. This simple job proved a huge headache, was badly mishandled by CP Jefferies, and created almost three weeks of inconvenience and irritation. Not only did everything happen unbelievably slowly, but I was initially supplied with the wrong paperwork, and found the consistent lack of communication really frustrating.

This company gave us absolutely outstanding service in specifying, supplying and installing an air source heat pump installation to replace an oil boiler heating system. CP Jeffries installed a new air source heat pump system in replacement of our existing gas boiler system. From the start through to completion, Tom and the guys undertaking the installation were conscientious, polite and cleared up afterwards at the end of each day, the quality of workmanship is very good and they were all very professional, goes without saying we are very happy with the way it was undertaken and the new system installed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

CP Jefferies recently completed the installation of an air source heat pump and underfloor heating system for us, after we had problems with another installer. We are really pleased with the work and would recommend the company to anyone else looking to install a heat pump. The project manager Jason was very knowledgeable and professional and oversaw the job closely from start to finish. The whole process was professional, informative & painless! I now have a quiet, smaller, efficient floor standing Grant Vortex boiler. With less oil consumption, its a godsend considering the price of oil atm! (I did consider ALL the other options) When Tom & Ben (who seriously resembled Justin Bieber 😉) arrived, they were polite, informative & fun. They were neat & tidy & respected my home. James performed a standard service on our boiler and replaced the heating pump. He has a pleasant demeanor and answered all of my questions fully and professionally. He encountered a few issues, which he dealt with efficiently, offering sound follow-up advice. I would be very pleased to have him perform similar work in future, if necessary.

The engineer Tom was always on time, was very efficient, knew exactly what he was doing and also explained everything very clearly. He was very polite and also cheerful and you felt confident having him to do the pipework. Everything he did was and looked very professional. After 2 other heating engineering companies had failed, Tom and C.P. Jeffries have now repaired it and the heating is working perfectly. I would recommend Tom and C.P. Jeffries to anyone.

CP Jefferies removed my internal boiler and cylinders from my kitchen and installed an external combi boiler. The services provided was to an excellent standard with fantastic customer service throughout. Matt carried out the initial assessment for the quotation. Impressive attention to detail from the initial design by Michelle to the installation and tiling by Steve and Ethan, together with Nick's work on the electrics. Steve is a master craftsman with over 40 years plumbing experience and takes great pride in his work; his frequent checking about where fixtures would be positioned ensured very satisfied customers! I had a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life boiler fitted to replace old boiler. From the offset it was very apparent that I was dealing with a very professional organisation; I first met with Matt Johnson the Heating Engineer who explained very comprehensively the workings of the boiler that I preferred (Worcester Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life). He then provided a very detailed quote; I had no hesitation in accepting the quote albeit a bit more expensive that other companies I felt confident that I was getting a much better service. The boiler was fitted over 2 days by Tom and Ben, 2 excellent workers, who provided a 5 star service. Then due an issue in setting up the boiler (using the Easy Control and iPhone) a Bosch engineer was called he to was also bemused by the issue, however after a call to Bosch the matter was eventually resolved; I must reiterate that the CP Jefferies engineers were no way at fault, it was an IT gremlin!!!! The Bosch engineer was impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail of the installation carried out CP Jefferies. Excellent service throughout the installation. Thank you.

Dreadful service and no after sales support.... 1. Engineer arrived to conduct a routine service on a 3 year old boiler. 2. On completion, as the engineer was leaving, we noticed the pressure reading on the boiler was significantly higher than usual, i.e. it was in the red (3.5 Bar). 3. When asked why it was so high the slightly panicked engineer said we needed a new expansion vessel and he would order one. 4. Being slightly sceptical, we allowed the system to cool down and it settled at just over 2 Bar, rather than the manufacturer recommended 1 Bar. 5. We then sought a second opinion from an independent engineer. After draining some water from the system, the pressure gauge settled back at 1 Bar (cold), and is now running perfectly well, just as it was prior to the boiler service, with a maximum pressure remaining in the green (2.5 Bar). 6. We have monitored this every day for the last 2 weeks to ensure there is no fault. 7. We tried to speak with the service manager/owner, but despite several calls they are never available and never call back. 8. So the long and short of it is that we cancelled the order for a replacement expansion vessel (as it wasn't needed), settled the bill in full and will not be recommending or using CP Jefferies again. A very disappointing experience, from a local company.

We asked for a Quote to refurbish our bathroom and replace the tank/cold water system. A designer called to our house and advised it would be a week till we received a Quote. It is now over 3 weeks later and since then I have phoned to chase the quote, to be told someone would ring me back - they didn't. I then emailed C P Jefferies about a week ago to chase it and didn't even receive an acknowledgement. If the job is beneath them, surely all they have to do is say so, though I would have thought a full bathroom refurbishment would be worth doing. I would recommend you try elsewhere if you want a company who is serious about good service.

Very competent and professional service and always willing to try and help with emergencies. Used for almost 10 years for servicing and repairs and 100% reliable. Polite and courteous engineers. By no means the cheapest but you generally get what you pay for.

CPJ frequently squeeze us in for urgent jobs and always deliver. The lads are great and know their stuff. Only yesterday they managed to fix my boiler SAME DAY within an hour. Dropped some beers into the office for the guys, enjoy.

The repairs were fitted into a full day of work by the firm and was done in a very thorough, considerate and careful way, I cannot speak highly enough of the repairs.

Your response is utterly disingenuous. When your engineer suggested relighting the AGA he gave no warning that there might be almighty smell. You clearly also had no idea what might be causing the smell because you charged us hundreds of pounds for investigating. We emailed and called many times asking you to explain the extra charges and each time we received an apology and an assurance that you would investigate. We only received any written response two weeks ago when we contacted you (again) after receiving your letter dishonestly claiming that you would seek payment through HMRC. Dishonest. Unscrupulous. Dishonest. Unscrupulous. CP Jefferies' told us at our September AGA service that the fire safety valve for our AGA sat too far away from the AGA to be of any use and so at their suggestion we arranged for them to remove it. The job was arranged for April when the AGA was to be switched off (for the start of summer just before building work was about to take place). At their suggestion, they switched the AGA back on (even though they knew building work was about to start). There was then a terrible smell both inside and outside of the property. They came to "investigate" and charged us many times the original cost of removing the fire valve for "investigating" the smell (which turned out to be caused by their engineer having switched the AGA back on). When we disputed the hundred of pounds of additional cost for "investigating" the smell which they had caused, they wrote without any explanation to say they would seek the money through "HMRC" (there is no such procedure). Hundreds of pounds for what was supposed to be a "very minor job". We trusted this firm. Never again.

AGA check finds faults that should have been picked up by servicing.

I was a new customer of C P Jeffries last year. On the two occasions I have had need to use their services, I have been very pleased with the work done. The engineers have been prompt, polite & efficient.

We highly recommend CP Jefferies - always do a great job for us. They are really prompt at responding and making themselves available for appointments. Friendly staff and good at getting the job done! Will be using them again!
