Plumbing and Renewables Limited

Excellent service. Our installation was not straightforward given the age of the property and the absence of an existing wet system. Very helpful and knowledgeable engineers.

Plumbing and Renewables put in my Heat Source Pump in 2020. I have continued to use them for an annual service. They always have answers to my questions and are always at the end of the phone if needed. Any staff I have spoken to - usually reception and service staff - have always been helpful and courteous. I would recommend this company.

Plumbing and Renewables installed my heat pump three years ago following recommendation from a neighbour who’d used them also, and they’ve been great - the system has worked flawlessly and they’ve only needed to come back for the annual service since it was installed, which I feel is testament to the quality of the equipment they specified and the engineers who installed and service it. The service charge is reasonable, and service is dealt with efficiently in an hour or two. I pay a small mileage premium for them to come to Aviemore from Moray, but it’s well worth it for the peace-of-mind that the system will continue to work without issue.

As always, an efficient job done.

Good and helpful advice from knowledgeable staff. Questions dealt with quickly. Prompt reliable service. Came when they said they would. Accurate estimates and options outlined.

Professional friendly and efficient service. Would highly recommend.

Plumbing and Renewable are a great local company that combine outstanding knowledge with excellent customer service. They installed my heat pump, solar panels and battery and give me everything I need in terms of after-care. Highly recommended!

The team are super helpful and always at the end of the phone. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Great Company. Very professional helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend them

A great bunch of guys who have serviced our heat pump for the last few years - everything from clearing filters, checking concentrations and sorting any issues.

Had heat pump serviced, engineer arrived at time arranged and everything was done very efficiently. Great to use a local company.

Engineer was really friendly. Used laymans language to describe the heating system functions without technical jargon. Was very honest about the good condition of the heating system, not requiring any extra work done. Excellent service.

Excellent service as always.

Used P&R for a few years now since they installed our GSHP system. Family run business provides great service, responds to email questions and they have a great team of guys who handle all of the installation, commissioning and service/maintenance work. Our system has been in and working well now for over two years

What an absolutely amazing company this is. We had an Air Source Heat Pump installed in August 2022 and from the outset the customer service was second to none. From initial contact right through to commissioning, the office staff and installers were fabulous; they guided us through the whole process and couldn't have been more helpful. The installation was a big job as we needed old pipework replacing... but what a team! Professional, courteous, clean working, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were a pleasure to have around. We are absolutely delighted with our new system, and what we thought was going to be quite a stressful time I can honestly say wasn't. But this is all down to this marvelous company and caring staff. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of having an ASHP installed or maintained. Since installation, they have been servicing our ASHP and the continuity of engineer and overall service has been first class. HUGE thanks to you all.

Came to our rescue when our Grant air heat exchange unit blew up in the middle of Winter. Grant wouldn't treat it as urgent but Plumbing & Renewables installed a new system very quickly and have been servicing it ever since. Can't praise them enough!

Good company to deal with. They send reminders of service due date and estimate cost for the service. Engineer is punctual, polite and willing to give answers to any questions I may have.

P&R installed and maintain my air source heat pump, providing excellent service. The technician checked everything is running as efficiently as possible and explained how everything works.

Our Air source heat pump has been running smoothly for years thanks to plumbing and renewables! Highly recommend for all your heat pump maintenance and installation needs. 👍

For almost three years, I have used Plumbing & Renewables in Alves for the service and repair of my air source heat pump system. The company installed the system a year before I bought my current home, so it made sense to use them for the annual service. Booking was not only easy, they provide a really useful text reminder, and offer multiple dates and times. The team has been on hand to offer help and guidance throughout, and the office-based team are incredibly knowledgeable and particularly helpful. As for the technical work, the heating engineer is amazing. His personable manners, respectful approach, and comprehensive understanding of our system has helped to keep is nice and warm since we moved in. I certainly haven't, and won't, consider looking anywhere else.

Absolutely first rate, trustworthy company. They have been Servicing my Air Source Heat Pump for the last 4 years and have done so in a professional manner. In addition they have assisted with settings and system message information. Thank you

Usually on time and carry out the service in a professional and timely manner

Very good service from Plumbing and Renewables as always.

Installation and maintenance of an airsource heating system

Always a brilliant service, engineers are knowledgeable and efficient

A reliable, professional and knowledgeable company. I would recommend them.

Excellent service and advice. Helpful staff.

Great service! On time and professional taking the time to answer any questions.

Nathan carried out our service efficiently and safely. First class as always.

Excellent and Professional Service that we have used now for four years

As newbies to air source heat pumps and solar we had no idea how to operate it properly, the unit was serviced and everything explained, now working fine, very happy with the service 😁

Great team , friendly and reliable service, system works well , good follow up.

Amazing service as always - so grateful to have a trusted partner like this working with us to optimize our heating system. They make it so easy and are always happy to answer any questions we haves. Thoroughly recommended!

This is the third year since moving that I have had my heat pump serviced by Plumbing & Renewables. I admit to being a heat pump novice so I always have questions about the system for the engineer, who unfailingly explains everything to me in a thoroughly professional, polite & helpful way! Any problems have been sorted out quickly & efficiently. I highly recommend Plumbing & Renewables! Don't ever change!!

Plumbing &Renewables fitted an ASHP for Us and continue to do the annual services for it They were great to work with friendly, helpful and informative. They gave advice freely and did what they said. When they fitted the ASHP they arrived on time and did the job professionally and efficiently. They were so neat and cleaned up after installation done you would hardly know they had been - a great job ! After installation they explained the workings and operation of ASHP. I would highly recommend this company after my experience - in fact I have already as my son had an ASHP fitted too !

Brilliant service from start to finish when installing our solar and battery system. Nothing ever too much trouble to consider and helpful advice and insight available. Installation itself was quick, tidy and neat - would highly recommend.

Everything about this experience was top class. The pre sale meeting was thorough, with everything explained fully and in a way that was easy to understand. The installation team were totally professional and left nothing to tidy up at the end. They finished the job ahead of the estimated schedule too. Afterwards, the functioning of the system was explained to us and we were told that if we needed anything clarified, just to phone and they would arrange to pop out. The team in the office were a delight to deal with, nothing being a trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending Plumbing & Renewables to anyone thinking of getting solar panels or an air source heat pump system.

Thanks to Josh for excellent advice and help

We had a fantastic experience with Plumbing & Renewables Ltd. From the initial consultation through to the installation, the team was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, completed the work to a very high standard, and left everything clean and tidy. We’re delighted with our new air source heating system and would highly recommend Plumbing & Renewables Ltd to anyone considering renewable heating. Thank you for an excellent job!

I’m more than happy with my experience of Plumbing and Renewables who fitted an air source heat pump, solar panels and battery to my house. They listened to what I wanted, designed what was needed and fitted the whole system with care and consideration. The whole crew were very professional and helped when SSEN were upgrading the local grid. The staff are always very helpful if you need any assistance.

Earlier this year, we had solar panels and battery storage installed. From start to finish, communication was first class and staff took time to explain the various options available to us, helping us to choose the best system to meet our needs. The installation team were excellent and extremely tidy. Once installed, staff took time to explain how to use the system and set up the various features. The system has worked faultlessly since installation, and we have already recommended Plumbing & Renewables Ltd to work colleagues, neighbours, and friends.

P&R did a fine job, neat installation of solar panels after erecting appropriate scaffolding. Electrical connection work and friendly support later was also excellent. Confidence inspiring, competent work throughhout

I've been really happy with Plumbing and Renewables, having got them install an air source heat pump (including radiator upgrades) and have now decided to go with them again to get solar batteries installed. They are really friendly and professional, being able to tailor the information and service to the existing knowledge of the customer and have been really lovely to work with. The heat pump has been amazing since we got it installed, with absolutely no issues with keeping the house warm and running much cheaper than the oil fired boiler we had before (and also meaning we're able to make better use of our solar panels and not be impacted by oil issues). I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone and will use them again if I ever need anything

Plumbing and renewables were so efficient and informative from start to finish on our solar panel and battery storage installation. Very tidy workmen and explained everything on completion. Would highly recommend them.

From our initial enquiry through to our very successful solar panels installation, we were delighted with the extremely professional manner displayed by all Plumbing & Renewables staff and those contracted by them. We have no hesitation in recommending this company. H & M Robertson Cawdor Nairn

This company is bar far some of the best tradesmen that have entered our renovation so far. Cleaning up after themselves each day and leaving the house safe for 2 kids running around in the evening. Cannot recommend enough! The heat pump information is extremely detailed and explanations given for every choice leaving you to make up your mind with what suits you best. Thanks again!

Very happy with the service received. They provided a detailed and comprehensive quote and answered all the questions I had. I was well informed about the radiator changes that would be required along with the options available as to the size and style that could be used. Very easy to contact - emails were answered relatively promptly and there was always someone available on the phone the few times that I called. The installation went smoothly. The engineers were pleasant and just got on with it. The place was tidy and they spotted a radiator with a small defect in it. I wouldn't have noticed, but they were back a couple of weeks after to replace it. The setup and controls for the system was explained well and whilst I haven't had to use the heating yet (installed in May) the hot water system is performing as expected. I'd highly recommend Plumbing & Renewables, although hopefully we won't need another heat pump installing for a good amount of time! Note - some of you might be dubious as to why there's a flurry of reviews coming up around the same time as this (I would). It's not bots, they've just offered the chance to win a £100 M&S voucher if you post a review in July so I suspect that's what's spurred people on!

Plumbing & Renewables fitted three air source heat pumps on our estate. They provided a wonderful service, great communication and clear pricing. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Plumbing and renewables were very efficient, helpful and great communication. Nothing was too much bother for them when we got our heat pump and battery installed. Excellent service.

Used plumbing and renewables for many years on multiple jobs cant fault them at all.

Great team to work with, really knowledgeable and helped us with our heat pump, solar panels and batteries.

The work was carried out to a very high standard, nothing was to much trouble when the work was complete everything was left clean and tidy. The office staff were very friendly and kept us informed every step.

Excellent from start to finish, would definitely recommend. Barry our contact for the works was really good to deal with and kept us up to date throughout the whole process.

Great service from start to finish. Plumbing and renewables are organised, efficient, turn up when they say they will and all the staff we've had dealing with have been friendly and cheerful. Delighted with our new ASHP

I recently had an air source system installed at my property. Great experience from start to finish, including the after care post air source install. Highly recommend Barry Stables, his knowledge and passion about his work was second to none 👌🏼 (also very easy on the eye which always helps).

We have used Plumbing & Renewables in both a personal and business capacity and have been delighted with the service in both scenarios. We feel you get a personal and professional service with anyone that you deal with and the end product is always excellent and performs as expected. Would recommend highly.

Plumbing and Renewables installed a heat pump system for us. It was a complicated installation, because the location of the pump was quite inaccessible, and it was connected to existing radiator and underfloor heating systems with a complex layout. Other firms had already turned us down because it was tricky. The team were very supportive prior to the work, and flexible about dates. Communication was excellent. The work was carried out quickly and professionally, and we have been very happy with the result. They came round promptly to look at the system when we had questions afterwards. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service and advice from start to finish. Professional, friendly and efficient. ASHP works well and saves us money. Very neat set up. We would have installed solar but a thorough survey by them found that our roof is not strong enough.

We have recently done up 2 cottages: our own home and a holiday cottage. Plumbing & Renewables were extremely helpful with grant applications and advice on the most efficient systems. We have solar panels, underfloor heating, heat recovery units, ASHP and battery storage. Both cottages are warm and cosy and our energy costs have been slashed. Would highly recommend!

We called Plumbing & Renewables out to service our solar panels (water heating). Faults were identified in our system and new parts were fitted rapidly, and the 10 year old set up is now good as new! Excellent diagnosis, rapid repair and immediate improvement.

We had our service carried out by Nathan who was thorough and went above and beyond to give us more detailed information on how our system actually worked - even highlighting and repairing an error made by the homebuilders during installation. Will be coming back annually for our service, thanks again!

Had the team working in our house fitting solar panels last week, would thoroughly recommend these guys first class job from start to finish!

Great service. Respectful engineers.

P & R is a friendly, professional and reliable outfit. Highly recommended!

Great service as usual. Been a customer now for 2 years and delighted with our ASHP install and all follow ups.

Excellent service as always from Plumbing & Renewables, I have been using them for the last few years for the annual service on my ASHP. Engineer always turns up on time, does a good job and gives a comprehensive explanation of the work carried out and any adjustments that may have been required. Would recommend them.

Our heat pump had its 5th annual service in March. As always Plumbing & Renewables were excellent. On time, professional, courteous, helpful, efficient and stress-free. I recommend them.

Very efficient service and polite informative staff

Also provide a great service at the drop of a hat.

Excellent Service, do their job well and efficiently

Excellent service - very friendly, helpful with the new system, and competent engineers. Highly recommended company👍.

Serviced my ASHP, Engineer was on time and thoroughly knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend them.

Air source heat pump service and radiator replacement carried out on time without fuss, Brilliant team , very satisfied.

Very professional company, good attention to detail and prompt responses to communications. Happy with the quality of their work for our heat pump installation.

The engineer arrived exactly on time and as before took his shoes off without even being asked. He serviced the airsource heat pump quickly and resolved a couple of minor things. He was very tidy. This was our second service after installation, would recommend.

First time getting our air source heating serviced by "Plumbing and Renewables Ltd" and would easily recommend. Turned up on time no messy and explained what he had done and what he adjusted! So far so good!

P&R designed and installed our ground source heat pump 6 years ago and have serviced it ever since. The system has been supremely reliable. P&R have been diligent with the annual service and dealt well with the only problem we have had over the years - finding and fixing a pipe leak. They are an excellent firm - reliable, capable and approachable.

Plumbing and Renewables installed our heat pump 5 years ago and have serviced it every year since. I can't recommend them enough, they are very professional, reliable, friendly and give excellent support when you need it. When I was trying to figure out how to set the programme (they did show me when it was installed but I forgot how to do it) they sent me a video on how to do it. Excellent company.

I have used Plumbing & Renewables for my yearly Vailent system checks. The customer service team have a smooth and efficient booking system and are a friendly, helpful team. The engineers always turn up on time, are friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend their services.

Plumbing and Renewables have serviced our Ground Source Heat Pump for the last 5 years, providing reliable and trustworthy service throughout. I therefore subsequently asked them to complete two further pieces of installation work: a new smart heating control system and Solar PV with battery storage. They were excellent throughout. The office and logistics team are "on it" and very responsive, the design team carefully considered a number of nuanced options I was considering for the Solar PV, and the installation team were careful, professional and collaborative throughout. Overall, extremely impressed and find the quality of service and installation refreshing. An expert team .

Highly recommend Plumbing & Renewables, extremely easy company to work with, friendly and very professional.

Friendly a helpfull customer service , knowledgeable service engineers and good prices for works . I use them for 4 years and will continue

Excellent local company. Always quick to respond, turn up when agreed, staff knowledgeable and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Plumbing and Renewables are a quality company who provide excellent support and servicing. They are reliable, professional, and efficient. Highly recommended!

We have our air sourced heat pump & thermal solar now about 4 years. This system is first class and Plumbing & Renewables are just the best. One hears about ‘horror stories’ involving some installations. The company are ‘ the best’ in the business & I would recommend them to anyone who wants information and expertise. A friendly company. Don

After being told my house was unsuitable for a heat pump by a company through an area based scheme (1900 Victorian stone house close to the sea), I contacted Plumbing and renewables Ltd. After a discussion on my property I was reassured that they could help, a site survey was carried out and a system was recommended that works in with my future extension plans. They also talked me through the funding available from the Scottish government. The Guys who came to install it were great and kept everything tidy during the installation. I have had my heat pump for a year now and the house has been nice and warm with no issues. I highly recommend plumbing and renewables Ltd, a great local company that is extremely knowledgeable with great customer service.

Great service and all carried out on time and to a very high standard

Plumbing and Renewables have been very reliable in servicing our heat pumps over the last few years. They give plenty of advance notice that the service is due, keep to their promises on date and time, and have clear communication throughout. Their charges are fair, and the job is done thoroughly. We have been fortunate to have had the same friendly and professional person doing the work each year.

Very reliable and efficient. Great customer service, friendly engineers and went above and beyond to help sort out issues we had. Been a customer for a few years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend any other company for installation and servicing an air source heat pump. Plumbing and Renewables are simply light years ahead of the competition. The system was well designed, runs efficiently and the service level is top notch!

I have used Plumbing and Renewables for the servicing of our air source heat pump since its installation six years ago. The service provided has always been highly professional; the engineers are punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending their services.

We’ve had a great experience with Plumbing and Renewables. They installed our air source heat pump and HRV system when we built our home four years ago, and the service has been solid and reliable ever since. There have been a couple of minor issues along the way, but they’ve always been quick to respond and resolve things — sometimes it’s been as simple as a quick reset over text to get everything back up and running. The staff, owners and engineers have consistently been helpful, friendly, and easy to deal with. Nothing has ever felt like too much trouble. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great service, and lost of help / friendly attitude towards our complex 10kw solar install with twin batteries - Ground mount? No problem, Help with HES grant application evidence - No problem - Fielding calls from me at the drop of a hat - No problem - Good business, sensible answers and great service. Highly recommended.

Easy to deal with and quick to answer queries. Fitted panels and batteries with a neat and tidy finish. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again , good price and local too. Would recommend

Just had Nathan from Plumbing & Renewables for a heat pump service. Excellent service and communication and flagged a big reason why our system has been costing us more than it should. He attended for about an hour and was very thorough; cheaper than a Valiant service last year who basically did nothing. Really happy and would absolutely recommend, thank you.

Fantastic company. Can't do enough to help you. We asked for help, as we felt the house wasn't warm enough for us, and Jill organised for Nathan to come and advise us. Brilliant service.

Excellent communication and professionalism installing my heat pump, plus support during crisis. My thanks to the team for the attention to detail and craftsmanship. Would gladly recommend.

In our 4th year of air source heat pump they have always been prompt and reliable. Good at explaining everything and happy to answer questions. We have never had any issues with the system since installation 4 years ago. Thank you

Very happy with the customer service provided by Plumbing and Renewables - reliably there when I’ve needed them, easy to book a service and they show up on time and are friendly and considerate, happy to answer any queries. Highly recommended.

Plumbing & Renewables have looked after our Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump for 5 years with an annual service. Have experienced some small equipment issues during this time which have been dealt with in a very timely and professional manner. Would be very interested if Plumbing & Renewables would have available for loyal customers a yearly subscription service plan which would cover annual service, call out fees and specific parts.

Exceptional service. Installed a heat pump and solar thermal panels on our old stone cottage. The customer support was first rate – from early conversations to help us understand the tech and options, to advising based on their understanding of our specific needs and wider plans for our home, and then ongoing support after installation as needed. Never any hard sell whatsoever. They really care about their customers and every employee we encountered clearly takes pride in the company and the work they do. The workmanship was top quality – the installers were hard working, skilled, communicated well and were pleasant to have around. Everything was as quoted, on time, and surpassed expectations – they made the whole process stress free. Two years later, the system is performing brilliantly (even when it was -18 degrees outside). A really genuine and trustworthy local company that sets the example.

Plumbing & Renewables installed a Mitsubishi air source heat pump at my house and the whole process was excellent from start to finish. The system works perfectly and has performed exactly as promised. Their knowledge of renewables is first-class, the installation was carried out professionally, and everything was clearly explained along the way. The workmanship is tidy, efficient, and clearly done by people who know what they’re doing. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Plumbing & Renewables from Alves, and I regularly do so to my own clients. Reliable, competent, and easy to deal with — exactly what you want in this sector.

I cannot recommend highly enough. The team were fantastic from start to finish. Really efficient and helpful office team with excellent and timely communications. The installation team were fantastic, always tidy and efficient, nothing was too much trouble and they got the job done brilliantly, overcoming any problems really quickly. Brilliant local company with outstanding employees. Really excellent experience all round.

I recently had an air source heat pump installed by Plumbing and Renewables and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the very first contact, the team were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The planning stage was thorough, with clear advice on siting the unit and radiator sizing, which gave me confidence that everything was being carefully thought through. The installation itself was carried out efficiently and with minimal disruption. The engineers arrived on time each day, worked diligently, and left the house tidy at the end of the job. At the completion of the install they took the time to explain the system clearly, showing me how to use the controller and how to run the heat pump efficiently. The communication really stood out. From the office staff, who were quick to respond to queries, and from the installation team on site. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. The costs were competitive, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. It’s reassuring to know that I can rely on them for ongoing support if needed. All in all, Plumbing and Renewables delivered a first-class service, and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a heat pump or other heating work.

recommended by a friend , whole process of design and installation of air source heat pump was fantastic - careful and thoughtful help in agreeing what was needed and clean , fast and considerate installation team. you know they are knowledgeable and have pride in their work - the trust was there.

Noting is ever too much trouble with this company. They've looked after all of our plumbing and heating equipment since installing it in 2017. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone needing a dependable reliable and experienced service provider

I have nothing but good things to say about Plumbing And Renewables. It is two years now since their installation which went very smoothly. Since then, service staff have been very responsive when required, I get to speak to real people, and they are excellent at explaining the system in a way that a novice can understand. I would recommend them highly

Fantastic service. I wasted 2yrs dealing with a range of other installation firms who were generally hopeless. P & R were brilliant from initial contact, survey of property and final installation. I would totally recommend them 100%. Steve Kinlochbervie.

Excellent company to deal with. From Claire advising on paperwork and responding quickly to questions to the assessor and the team who did the work. The work was completed quickly with limited upheaval for ourselves and the cats. Great all round service from the whole team.

We have just had our Air Source Heat Pump fitted by Plumbing and Renewables in Alves and we can't praise them highly enough. The standard of work is very high and the workmen were all very courteous and polite and cleaned up after themselves. The ladies in the office are also very helpful and efficient and answered any queries we had. The whole process from the quote to the work being implemented has been exceptional and we would highly recommend them.

I recently had an air source heat pump installed by Plumbing and Renewables. Their service was excellent from start to finish, great help with planning, discussing location for the heat pump and radiator sizes. The installation went very smoothly over 3 days, only one floor needed to be lifted along with 1 hatch in a cupboard. The team were very tidy and did a good handover, teaching me how to use my new controller and how to run the heat pump efficiently. Competitive costs also. Highly recommended.

Plumbing and renewables ltd have replaced our aging oil boiler with a 9Kw grant Air Source Heat Pump. Lifting a number of floors to upgrade all existing pipe work, up size most of our radiators and install hot water cylinder and ASHP was competently and effectively undertaken over a five day period. Whilst a lot of upheaval, detailed planning at the start and throughout left us in no doubt as what to expect. With great communication from both Claire in the office and Mattie at the work front, the disruption was made some much easier. Of the three quotes we obtained they were the most expensive, but their outstanding knowledge and attention to detail left us with the confidence of a job well done. Only time will tell whether the ASHP will keep us warm over the winter month in our 1850's Scottish granite walled house. But so far so good. I highly recommend Plumbing and Renewables Ltd.

We had our ASHP installed a couple of weeks ago and really pleased with it so far. Plumbing & Renewables provided an excellent service from intial contact, quotations, site visit through to installation. The site visit set them apart from other companies, with a much more detailed property assessment and plenty of time for discussion on the options and siting for new radiators and other kit. Communication at all levels was excellent and the installation team were friendly and courteous. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly delighted with our air source heat pump. Claire in the office has been invaluable in providing advice and information when we needed it. The installers were conscientious and tidy throughout and worked well alongside the plumbers we accidentally scheduled to do work in the house at the same time as the heat pump install. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering getting a heat pump or any other work done.

Plumbing and Renewables recently added solar panels to my home. They were great. Good communication throughout; did a very tidy and professional job. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Paid for a service with a P1 error on a Mitsubishi Ecodan. I was not present when they attended (neighbour opened up) and after visited they reported heating working but when I get back to property it was not. Now a P8 error. Fobbed off and told to contact Mitsubishi or pay for another call out at £168 and would not even get engineer to call me. Since found out that compressor is faulty after further investigation with another supplier in Dingwall. Poor service all round.

I was impressed with the efficient and helpful set of proposals that we received from the team for Solar PV. They were helpful and well-informed.

Its a big step finding a company you can trust with your house to put a heat pump in and have the run of your house but from the very first contact to survey and to the team coming in to do the work, every one of them was first class. They were not pushy but answered all my 'silly' questions and nothing was too much trouble for them. Josh and his team were here on the first morning and every other morning bang on when they said they said they would be. Josh took the time to talk through any snagging issues and come up with a plan. All the guys were polite and tidied up after every days work. I got told it would probably take 5 days to do but they were done in 4! cant recommend the whole company enough. First class service!!

We have just had solar panels installed and we couldn’t be happier with the service received. From start to finish the process was made quick and easy by the team and we were always kept well informed. The team installing the panels were very efficient and professional and also super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking into having solar panels installed!

I just had an air-sourced heat pump system installed in my flat by Plumbing and Renewables. I’m really glad that I chose them for the work, every step of the way they have been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, so much so that I am confident that I’ll be able to approach them with any questions or issues that might arise in the future. Of course, it is also reassuring that the team are so close at hand to where I live! The quality of the workmanship was first class. I mostly followed the advice given after the initial survey regarding the equipment, size and placing of heaters, pipework with minimum intrusiveness, etc. The work took just over three days, during which time I was able to stay at a friends’, which gave the guys time to do the job, without having to tidy away at the end of each day. When they had finished though, they left my place in great condition, and Josh was able to drop by the next morning and give me a run-through of the system. So far though, it seems to be running itself absolutely fine with no need for any intervention on my part! Again, I’m happy to recommend Plumbing and Renewables as a trustworthy, knowledgeable and efficient company, without any reservations at all!

5 stars for this local based company - from initial contract through to installation, they have been fantastic - engaged, helpful and nothing has been too much trouble -- been such a relief when faced with choices, to have a clear discussion of options and solutions. Across the board helpful and personable. Recommended!

A really good service. New ASHP working really well

I can not rate Plumbing and Renewables highly enough. Everyone we have dealt with has been so helpful and informative. We had the installation of our new heating system done relatively quickly. This was due to the cost of our previous heating system and knowing this they were so helpful and considerate to our timings. No questions were too much trouble, always ensuring we were well informed and comfortable with each step of the process. They really know what they are talking about! The guys who came out to do the install were very professional and worked quickly but thoroughly. Every day when they left it was tidy and they always checked I was happy. A couple of weeks after the install one of the lads happily popped back to program the system to our new energy tariff. We are so happy with our new air source heat pump, it was installed early December and we are already seeing a massive reduction in our energy bills. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional company who can’t do enough for you then these guys are your go to!

We found all of the people we dealt with extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole process.

Plumbing & Renewables were fantastic throughout. ASHP, PV & Battery installation. Specifying the main equipment was a collaborative exercise with P&R offering expert advice. The battery was installed externally in a cabinet identified by ourselves and installed with care by P&R. The team were super tidy, hardworking and left a neat system that is performing beyond expectations. Thank you.

Our heat pump was installed very efficiently and we found all their staff to be courteous and considerate

I have no hesitation in giving a 5 star review to Plumbing and Renewables. All of the staff have been so great to deal with. Their communication has been prompt, informative and professional at all times. They really know what they are talking about. Prior to committing to the installation, we had lots of discussions and a site visit to make sure that we made the right decisions to heat our home as efficiently as possible. Once we placed our order we were guided through the process and installation was even done while we were on holiday! We are really happy with our new air source heat pump, solar panels and battery set up. The technicians carried out a first class installation. After installation we had a small glitch of a leaking radiator and a plumber was over to sort it within the hour. We feel assured that post installation we can call on this crew to help if we need any tweaking to our set up. All in all a very professional team.

ASHP, SOLAR PV, BATTERY INSTALLATION PLUS AN EV CHARGER via the HES Grant and Loan Scheme. I appreciate this is a long review, so in summary this company delivers on their promises, has a personal touch with excellent communications. They provide a high quality of workmanship and follow up post installation to make sure you understand how it all works and ensure it’s all working efficiently and effectively. If you have the time please read on because the summary doesn’t do them justice! After changing my original supplier of the renewable products due to consistently poor comms, I opted for a more local company, namely Plumbing and Renewables Ltd based in Alves, Moray. They were unknown to me and on my first enquiry with them, which happened at exactly the time they had booked the appointment (which was a refreshing change from my previous company) they openly admitted they were highly experienced with ASHP installs, but were less so with Solar and Battery, which they explained was a more recent expansion to their services offered. I felt this was very honest of them to make me aware so I could make an informed decision as to what services I would use them for. They even suggested an option where I could use a separate company for the Solar/battery work if it made me feel more comfortable. In the end I opted to use them for the whole range of products to install and I’m glad I did. The process of planning the logistics and locations of each piece of kit was simple. One of the senior installers was able to come to my property within just a couple of days of my first enquiry, which was refreshing as the previous companies sent salesmen. We talked through everything at length and into quite some detail leaving me with a good understanding of the whole process and with very few unanswered questions. The design and spec of the install was all done in collaboration to meet what I wanted, but they weren’t ‘yes men’ by any means, steering me toward better and more effective systems/setups explaining why each time. All the paperwork needed to satisfy the very pedantic Grant and Loan application process was provided promptly to allow a drawdown of funds well before the install date came around. As the install date came round this is when Plumbing & Renewables Ltd demonstrated to my family why they deserve such high praise in this review. In the days prior to the job start date I suffered a severe trauma which hospitalised me throughout the duration of the install. The project leaders on site took time to FaceTime me so I could explain the big picture of how my house utilities were arranged. They also text me when unsure of key decisions, but we’re careful not to overload me whilst in such a poor health. They were pedantic to cover floors and minimise and damage or dirt in the house. On my return to the house it looked immaculate. Prior to returning to my home we had to create a hospital room, which the install team assisted with without even a thought. We absolutely couldn’t have done on our own and are indebted to them, thank you. We’ve just had a handover of the systems today and they were able to answer all our questions and demonstrate each of the components in laymen’s terms making it easy to understand. I’ve lived in this area since 2009 and I have never had a tradesman come close to this level of service, let alone a whole company. Simply outstanding. I would have no hesitation in recommending Plumbing and Renewables Ltd, in fact anyone not using this company is missing out. I wish them well in the future and thank each and every member of the team for making it such a simple and enjoyable experience.

Excellent service from start to finish on the install of our air source heating system , the guys installing conducted them selves in a very professional manner kept us up to date as the job progressed they were fast efficient and very tidy cleaning up behind them selves on a daily basis leaving as little disruption to us as they possible could , Claire in the office has been fantastic from the start keeping us up to date helping us with the whole process made us feel greatly at ease and even fitted us in earlier than first planned , all in all a great service from a local company I would recommend giving them a shout

Thank you, I have appreciated the great service from P and R. Always responsive , professional and efficient. Good support and aftercare, overall great job!

Online says open, turned up and door is locked and no one around.

The decision to go ahead and replace the oil central heating system with an air source heat pump is a big one. I therefore appreciated PandR s no pressure sales technique in sharp contrast to another more regional supplier . They were always helpful and patient and flexible and am very pleased I made the decision to go local! The installation was done professionally and courteously with the minimum of disruption. I am still getting used to how it operates and they have been really helpful in this regard . It's early days yet but so far so good. It's reassuring to know who it is I am speaking with and they are just down the road so to speak

Very professional installation of battery and EV charge point, happy to strongly recommend Plumbing and Renewables, will surely use again for next phase to install PV panels.

Very good installation. Took 1 week and made a great job. No mess. They are still in touch to tweak the system so that it is working at its best throughout the year. I can thoroughly recommend them

Plumbing and Renewables have just replaced my old Ground Source Heat Pump with a new Air Source Heat Pump and we're delighted with the result. The installation team were super efficient and very tidy. Very happy to recommend P & R.

Brilliant service from P&R. Experienced and knowledgeable expertise, backed up by efficient admin. All staff have been friendly, helpful and caring. We couldn't have wished for a better team for our installation.

This group of extremely friendly and competent individuals fitted an Air Source heat pump, Battery storage system and solar PV panels to my house late 2023. They worked fast and efficiently to minimise disruption and showed endless patience with the kids and puppies that were under foot anytime they were at the house. Always quick to respond and help with any issues I have had with the system (all down to me not reading guidance notes!) Can't recommend them highly enough.

We cannot recommend Plumbing & Renewables highly enough. From first contact to the job completion they couldn’t have been more helpful or professional. They removed our old oil fired boiler and fitted an Air Source Heat Pump and hot water tank all done with no fuss or mess. Everyone arrived promptly, each day leaving the place neat and tidy. The help given by the office staff guiding us through the Funding Application was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble.

So I went for this company after some research and I'm glad I did! From start to finish the job and workmanship was brilliant, kind friendly honest workers including the office staff. I got an ASHP complete with full piping and radiators fitted and whilst there was some small disruption it was noughting compared to what I thought it would be as they always tidyed up at the end off every day. As i did not want to take a cupboard space up they guys were helpful and managed to put all the internal system in my loft which is absolutely fantastic for my OCD. They started Monday and finished Friday lunch time. We'll done to all the team.

Great customer relations, good people. Everything done on time and working well. Charles

Great communication from the outset when enquiring about a new heat pump. Prompt replies, explained everything about the product and were quick to carry out a survey of the property. The work began on time, The fitters were professional and left everything clean and tidy. A follow up visit to run through how everything worked, am extremely happy with the product and the service. Cannot rate this company high enough. First class service.

I cannot shout loud enough about how fantastic a job this company did for us. Josh attended to see to an issue we'd had with our air sourced system that had been ongoing for 8 months. Previous companies sent by the house builders were unable to fix the problem. Josh was so thorough and super informative to us. Finally targeting the problem, fixing it and helping us get the best from our air sourced system. Yes I recommend this company 110%

I had a heat pump and solar thermal system installed by the team and I can absolutely recommend them. The office team were super helpful with advise for negotiating the funding application and the installation team were incredibly efficient and have done an excellent job. Thanks

It is just over two years ago that I started to liaise with Plumbing & Renewables to replace the conventional oil boiler based heating system in our house with an air-source heat pump system. And if you don't want to read the full review the summary is: they are brilliant. I have a background in engineering so I understand just about enough to ask all kind of strange questions, but can't quite find the answers, I am not a heating specialist. From beginning to end P&R were very responsive, very, very knowledgeable and also very patient. And their expertise does not stop at the plumbing bit, if you want to benefit from the various government initiatives supporting decarbonization there are some nice rules and forms waiting for you, and P&R was happy and able to advice. Once we had decided what would be installed a date was agreed, and exactly on that date a group of friendly, competent plumbers arrived and the work was carried out to the highest standard, no dirt, no damage no fuss. After the installation I had a couple of questions - I guess I like to play with smart technology - and Mark - the boss - continued to patiently deal with my questions and ideas. By now the system has been installed for just over a year in all kinds of weather, its running efficiently and we enjoy a lovely warm house. I cannot praise each and every member of their team high enough, who would have thought that completely changing the heating of your house could be so much fun.

From initial quotation through to installation of our ASHP system, PARL's employees exhibited exceptional technical competence, professionalism and attention to detail. Mark and Jill are very knowledgable and diligent and the installation team Barry and Daniel were efficient, clean and tidy when going about their installation work, whilst observing vital covid hygiene arrangements. It was a pleasure to have work done by this company, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

P&R installed an air source heat pump at the house and from first contact with them to handover they were always willing to help and provide sound advice. The installers were friendly, clean and very helpful. Very happy and would gladly recommend.

Fantastic service, friendly people, and excellent work designing and fitting our church heating system. Recommend very highly.

Absolutely top notch company to deal with, professional service from start to finish. These people clearly know their business and how to take care of their clients. Thanks guys!

I cannot recommend Plumbing and Renewables highly enough. They have just fitted an Air Source Heat Pump, new hot water tank, new radiators and new pipe work throughout my house. And it's really warm! Jill and Mark clearly know their stuff and were able to help me easily understand both the heating system itself and the RHI process. And the team who installed the system were outstanding! They fitted the whole system, including the new pipe work under the floors, with no floors lifted (other than a hatch in a cupboard), no damage and no fuss! I'm amazed, delighted and incredibly thankful of the care they took.

As MD of Excel Scotland we have been using Plumbing and Renewables for a number of years now. Their service, support and technical knowledge is first class and bettered only by their attention to detail. Our clients have very high expectations and Plumbing and Renewables NEVER let us down.
