Thought I could smell gas coming from our boiler. Contacted RCA and booked an appointment for it to get checked. Jimmy came out and thoroughly checked over everything and although there was no gas leak he noticed the flue pipe had a gap between the pipe and the house which should be properly sealed. Jimmy sorted the issue within minutes. I’ve used RCA for solving any problems that arise with our house and they are brilliant, dependable and I highly recommend them.

Very impressed with RCA Plumbing & Heating Services who carried out a boiler replacement for us. From the initial discussions with Ryan it was evident they were experienced with the local house types in this area for sizing the energy efficient boiler for our house. Ryan does listen to what the customer wants and gives good advice during the survey with no hard selling tactics for products you don't want or need. James came a few days after to install the boiler and carry out the pipework modifications and flushing of the system. He also clearly explained the controls systems and how to adjust them to suit our needs once he had completed the commissioning. The professional touches demonstrated by James were taking off shoes in the house, laying down carpet protection, removing from site all the old system and sweeping everything down after him. Would highly recommend them.

No other works were advised. They acted quickly, efficiently and were extremely polite and explained their actions. This is clearly, a very professionally ran business. From the outset, we received regular communication from admin staff, and the owner himself. The engineers who fitted our new boiler were extremely respectful of our home environment. I can't recommend RCA Plumbing & Heating highly enough! We asked for a quote to replace our boiler and to upgrade some of our radiators - Ryan came out and listened to what we wanted, made some recommendations as to which radiators would work better for us, and gave us a quote which included two different options of boiler, and information to help us choose which one we would prefer. Once we chose the boiler we wanted and accepted the quote, an installation date was decided upon and the work went ahead. Chase and Craig handled the installation, and they were cheerful and friendly and were happy to explain the process and anything I had questions about. They were very efficient and very tidy, and when the installation was complete, Chase made sure I had all the paperwork relating to the installation, and talked me through how to work the boiler and the controller. I also received a follow-up phone call from Ryan a couple of days after the installation to check everything was going well, which was a very nice touch. I will definitely be using RCA to maintain and service the boiler, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing any plumbing or heating work or advice.

Had an issue with no hot water and had James out to have a look. Turns out it was the meter that was at fault. He came and checked the boiler over and confirmed that it wasn't receiving gas and gave advice on who to contact to get it resolved. The text before arrival was pretty spot on for arrival time. Service from RCA has always been great as they service the boiler every year.

RCA came and fitted a new valve underneath my sink for an existing outside tap. I thought the tap was faulty but it was only the valve that needed replaced. Very happy with the job and would recommend to anyone looking for a local reliable plumber, which are hard to find these days!

I contacted RCA about a shower issue, and the following day James came out to inspect the problem. He was very friendly and took hus time showing/explaining the problem which made me feel at ease. The cost was reasonable and there was no hidden fees. If you want a reliable plumbing service with fair prices, I'd highly recommend RCA!

I didn't even need to be there as I felt I could trust them. I have used RCA plumbing for 6 years now and always get great service. James came last week to check my boiler as there was something going on with the pressure. As soon as he came he remembered right away that when it got fitted just over a year ago I had a small leak at the time, pretty impressedthat he remembered that. James was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to find the problem quite quick and fixed it, he said to just keep and eye on it and if there were any problems just to get in touch, things seem to be fine so far so thats great I am very happy. I would highly recommend their services if you need anything done.

Received texts and emails confirming when they would be arriving and a text on the day to say how far away they were - loved this as it meant I could plan take the dog for a walk without worrying they would show up and I would miss them. They worked hard and left my house immaculate at the end of each day - they were there for 4 days in total (complete bathroom change). I was delighted with the end result and the work carried out! Had RCA out twice recently, first to install a new hot water cylinder then to replace an old boiler and on both occasions got us booked in quickly with very short notice, couldn't be happier with the service. Ryan, Chase and Craig have always been incredibly helpful, left everything clean and tidy and always happy to answer any questions we had, would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

My experience with RCA was superb. The speed at which Ryan responded and booked in an appointment to service and install a new boiler was next to none. Chase is very knowledgeable about his work and carried us along step by step all the way communicating every process with us. We were looking to service our old boiler which had sadly been faulty and quite unsafe without us knowing this and Chase accurately diagnosed the issues and was open with all options available to us. I requested a boiler service and a problem radiator repair that hadn't been heating up for ages. Chase attended the job and was very quick in both the service and fixing the radiator, he gave good constructive advice on what the next step should be. After moving in to our recently purchased home, our boiler broke down at the most inconvenient time, when there was -6C outside. had no hot water from taps while heating still worked, called RCA plumbing and they arrived the following day, Liam found the problem and fixed it no bother, new valve and it was good as new. I’ve recently had a new boiler installed by RCA plumbing, their customer service is second to none. Ryan and Liam went above and beyond to patch up my old boiler so it would last me over Christmas and NY. When it came to getting a quote for a new one Ryan explained everything and answered all my questions about the different options, there was no pressure. On the day of the install Liam and Jimmy arrived when they said they would, the whole team are friendly, polite and kept me in the loop with updates. Big Liam and wee Liam finished the install and made sure I knew how to use the controls etc before leaving. Fantastic service from Ryan. We brought him in to review our central heating system as it was failing to heat most of our 1940s house despite the boiler being reasonably new. Ryan looked at the radiators and plumbing in place and diagnosed the problem. He calculated replacement resized radiators and upsized pipe work (because the pipe work was not of the right size - hence our problem) He took care of the house while he worked, talked us through all the options and left us a nice cosy house in the end. Highly recommended.

Just had Ryan and Jimmy complete a boiler installation for me. Ryan spent time going through all the options available, and recommended the system he thought was best suited to my needs (no pressure selling, he recommended the slightly cheaper option!). I've used RCA Plumbing twice now for an annual service and had a good experience on both occasions. The first time they were prompt and the second time they were late but texted me to tell me. This was great because it allowed me to do other things until they arrived and therefore wasn't an issue. All work was done efficiently and professionally and the lads were polite and helpful and the area was left clean. The price of the work was reasonable, the same on both occasions, and even including an additional job the second visit. I called them once out of hours and Ryan was kind enough to answer and give me advise. Great service and I will definitely use them again.

Ryan recently installed a new Vaillant boiler and controls for me. I was given good advice on the choice of boiler and quotation was a quick and easy process. This boiler was a new model, not long been on the market and the configuration of everything was slightly challenging. Ryan went out of his way to ensure that everything was working as it should be. I'm very impressed with the customer service provided by RCA, not often you see this these days, in fact probably the best company I've ever dealt with.

This is the second time I have used RCA Plumbing - they are now my go to plumbers. They are efficient and very helpful right from booking the appointment through to doing the work and issuing the invoice. Their work is first class and they always turn up when they say they will and on time - and that’s quite something these days! Absolutely first class.

Wow can't speak highly enough of Ryan and his team. Old boiler died and days after 1st contact we've a new boiler in place no fuss no mess. Choices given over suitable systems to cover all budgets and Ryan's just spent an hour making sure we're happy with the controls etc(including setting up the Vaillant app on 2 phones!). This was a complicated plumbing job but RCA were very efficient and managed to solve the issue. They were all pleasant and friendly. They also cleaned up well. The cost was very reasonable, despite the time they had to spend on this.

Refused to look at my boiler as he does not like the brand. First plumber to ever do that and boiler has been 11 years with little issues.

Had a mixer tap fitted by their engineer Chase.All I can say is that it,s refreshing to have someone do a thoroughly professional job with courtesy and politeness.

I vetted more companies than I had hoped to when it came to my installation. RCA was the only company that allowed me to be confident they could deliver what I was asking for from a modern installation. I was not let down, all the communications were first class, as was the installation itself. Everyone I have dealt with during the process has been as good as anyone could expect, with the end product being superior to anything I have previously experienced dealing with plumbers and heating engineers.

Phoned for emergency repair as my Aunt was just out of hospital and her heating was not working. Engineer turned up within 3 hrs and stayed until it was fixed, even returning the next morning because he wasn't quite happy and wanted to fit another part. We had a breakdown of our 20 year boiler and we called on RCA, who came out promptly. Unfortunately the boiler was beyond repair( it was 20 years old after all?) Ryan offered us the best option for our needs, for a new boiler and installation. Ryan and Chase fitted the new boiler within days. They also offered us heating equipment, during the delay. The entire work was carried out between 8am and 4pm. The whole works were carried out in a most professional way, with little disturbance and the area left spotlessly clean and tidy. We were so pleased with the work, the price and the after service , scheduled on an yearly basis with the boiler having a 10 year warranty. The really good news is that not only is the boiler reliable and quieter, but much cheaper than the old one, to run. All in all a good result, well done Ryan, Chase and Keely in the office. RCA have serviced our boiler for several years and have carried out a number of plumbing jobs, including changing taps, adding valves to pipes, and sealing a bathtub. Ryan and Chase have always been really professional, friendly and very helpful, and always carry out the work to a high standard. Communication is always clear and organised.

Highy recommend these guys. Enquiry was replied to quickly and a call out was arranged for 2 days time. Arrived on time and fixed the problem within a couple of hours then cleaned up after. Very happy with job carried out, would use again.

I can't recommend this company enough. Our previous shower was badly installed so we had to rip out the tiles and the majority of plasterboard that went with it. We contacted RCA and someone came out very quickly to have a look and got started straight away. They were great from start to finish and even picked out the materials we needed for us as we didn't have a clue. A joiner was needed and they organised that too - also very happy with his side of the work! Our shower looks fantastic and we'll definetely use them again in the future.

Contacted RCA and spoke to Ryan straight away. Explained our issue and one of his Team (Chase) was there within 2 days albeit offered to come sooner if minor issue got worse. Had to phone for further advice on same issue the following morning and again Ryan answered straight away and provided reassuring spot on advice. On arriving to do the job the next day it was done quickly, professionally and work was carried out very tidily, even hoovering up at both fault sites. Excellent service and would defo use again in the future.

Date of work : March 2023 Job: Decommission old central boiler + tank ,relocate new Valiant central heating system (boiler+tank+controls) and install. TLDR; Looking back , what I got for my money was complete peace of mind , punctuality , professionalism , friendliness and bags of experience – and exactly the right heating system I asked for and was advised/I researched was the best fit for me. Ryan (RCA Plumbing) was not the cheapest quote I was given , however it was the quote with the equipment we discussed. Other companies seemed to want to come in at a price with cheaper options although we had specified a complete Valiant system , on the survey Ryan spoke in length about the needs of the property and the benefits and downsides to the kit available on the market. He was passionate about the Valiant brand (I had already decided to go with Valiant) and came across as supremely knowledgeable and straight forward , no hard sell or attempts to sway my choices – just benefits and limitation advice. The install was booked for 3 days (his appointment/billing system is all automated as well as keeping me updated , gave me full control of the quote and also itemized billing) – It took 3.5 days with minimum downtime of hot water and heating. The team Ryan , Lance and the legend that is young Jimmy were as tidy and professional as I’ve seen. At all times Ryan advised where we were and what next steps were. We needed gas pressure increase for the new system – he did all that. We needed all new kit registered – he did all that , to be fair all we did was pay attention when he gave a demo of the finished work. We had a slight problem with the heating controls on install – again he remedied quickly by calling in Valiant to get it resolved (needed the manufacturers attention) The new system has been fantastic – house has never been warmer. And I was also left with a mind blowing set of options that this new system can be configured to. Ive already used RCA again and will next time I need plumbing/Heating work.

RCA fitted a new heating system in my house - a boiler and 7 radiators. Ryan, the owner, is great to deal with. Reliable, honest and trustworthy. I was going on holiday so we decided they would do the job while I was away. After meeting Ryan twice I had no issues leaving him a key and letting them get on with it. He kept in touch via email sending me photos when done etc. When I came back the job was complete, I had a new boiler and radiators and a warm house!! Ryan came round the next day and talked me through how to operate the control panel and so on. 2 months later and it's still working lol. I would happily recommend RCA if you are considering using them. I read a few reviews on a Community site before hand and they were all spot on. Good to deal with and Ryan takes pride in his work.

After our old boiler was condemned we were left with no heating or hot water. Ryan made us a priority to help minimise our discomfort. From quote through to installation Ryan and team at RCA Plumbing and Heating were a pleasure to deal with. We wanted the boiler in an internal cupboard which was a challenging space but they did it without complaint. All pipes and associated electrical work were upgraded to meet required standards. When finished Ryan explained how the boiler worked and all the controls. He helped set up the app on my phone. Gas safety certificate and guarantee were sent to my email within the week. The job was completed with minimum disruption to us and our home decor. When I called early morning a few months later for advice on water pressure Ryan took the time to talk through the boiler controls yet again. RCA attended my 92 year old Aunt’s to install a new central heating boiler. They completed the installation in a quick and very professional manner. The 3 workers involved were very efficient and left the house clean and tidy. I would recommend this company to everyone. Could not recommend RCA Plumbing & Heating enough. I was experiencing issues with my heating and hot water. Ryan ran through all the potential issues and provided transparency on timelines and costs. Initially a full system flush to clean the system which then revealed it was the boiler as the issue. Ryan provided a competitive quote and was able to turn the job around quickly. Ryan and John were very professional and efficient in deriving the service and communication at all points was great. Would use again and delighted to recommend.

My old boiler was becoming very unreliable, so I contacted Valliant about getting a quote for a new system and they sent Ryan along to check our requirements. He was very thorough, checked our existing system (including radiators and hot water) and provided us with a detailed quote a few days later. We scheduled the install and Ryan and his team arrive at about 8am and left at 6:30pm having removed our old boiler, reworked the old piping, fitted the new Valliant system (including wireless controls), flushed all 14 radiators and explained (very clearly) how to operate our new heating system. I would like to thank Ryan and John for the exceptional service which I received from them when installing my new boiler. My boiler broke down just before Xmas. What could have turned out to be a very stressful time, turned out to be the complete opposite. Ryan took the time to come out and view my boiler, diagnose the fault, and give me a quick and reliable quote. He also provided me with some electric heaters, which were much appreciated. The boiler installation was over 2 days, which involved him moving the new boiler into another room, replacing the pipework and resiting the flue. My old boiler was a health and safety hazard so it was reassuring to know that my new boiler was fitted safely. The work that I received was second to none. Everything went smoothly and to plan, there were no hidden extras, there was no mess during the process, and the work was to a very high standard. The aftercare which I received was also excellent. I will definitely be using RCA again in the future and would highly recommend them to everyone else.

Had a power flush booked initially as we had some problems with heating. Turned out there were also some major issues with the boiler which Ryan helped us get resolved under warranty. Some more issues came up with leaking radiators that he changed for us same day for a fair price. Would definitely use again when we next need heating work done.

When we got the keys to our new home in Alloa, we quickly realised that the property required more work than expected. So, instead of a few minor jobs, we needed lots of work done, among them on the plumbing. It made sense to have as much of this work as possible done while the property was empty, but it proved quite difficult to find the right workmen who were capable, trustworthy, available at the right time and at a reasonable priced, but finally we were very lucky to able to arrange a visit and obtain a quote from Ryan. He had already performed a survey on the property, so he had a good idea of what was required and had already given us a few useful suggestions, so we decided to hire Ryan again to do the plumbing and heating work. This was a considerable amount of work involving replacing a boiler, relocating and replacing radiators, installing a shower and repairing some faults. Ryan provided a written quote which we accepted, and him and his assistant worked at the property for 3 days, keeping us informed of progress throughout the job, helping us make the right decisions. As work progressed, there were some minor changes to the scope of the work as hidden problems were discovered but Ryan informed us of these as they happened and the cost implication (which was minor) before getting the go ahead to proceed. Not only did Ryan do a great job without any nasty surprises, but he also completed the job on schedule and very efficiently. All this already deserved a 5-star review, but Ryan is also friendly, helpful, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely use RCA again if we need any more plumbing work done.

We just had a new boiler installed by Ryan and his team. The level of service was excellent. The biggest positive that I could give was the communication - Ryan actually talks with you about what's going on, when the job will begin, what time to expect, etc. Sounds like a small thing, but we'd had problems with communication with other plumbers in the area before getting in touch with Ryan. Ryan has previously cleaned out radiators, fitted a new boiler and moved radiators to let us decorate. This time he was replacing all the radiators and repiping them. As always the job was done in the timescale he quoted and even though there were many problems - it's an old house - nothing was a bother or fazed him. I recommend him to everyone and will definitely use him again.

Installed system boiler and conducted magnetic system flush, he replied to our problem (old boiler 14yrs old) quoted multiple options of boiler and gave advice when asked. Started to fit new boiler within 4 days. Very tidy, clean, concienous engineer. Explained what he was doing when asked very helpful engineer. I will be using his services from now on, thank you again Ryan it is great to find a tradesman who you can trust and rely on.

I was recommended RCA plumbing and heating services through a colleague after having other tradesmen fail to find the leak under my bathroom sink over a period of 6 weeks. One call to RCA and they were out within a few hours, fault found, part replaced and leak solved. All on a Friday afternoon. I can’t recommend this business enough. 5 stars!

RCA changed all the radiators in our house for us. Found them knowledgeable and happy to give advice. Communication was great throughout and really happy with end result.

I contacted Ryan to get a quote for replacing an electric shower with a new rain shower. He was able to arrange and carry out a visit promptly and even took a look at my boiler whilst looking at the bathroom. He talked me through all the options and was great with giving advice on what the job could entail. He was proactive in getting in touch and provided an easy to understand quote that was cheaper than others. Day of installation was smooth sailing, all the work was done to a high standard, the guys were very professional and cleaned up too which was great. Initially called Ryan out to do a gas safety check in a new property and assess the boiler. In the end up he had to fix a series of leaks and install a new boiler. He was easy to contact and speak with, explained everything clearly, presented various options, enthusiastic, punctual, knowledgeable, and did a great job of fitting a new boiler. Very satisfied with the service he provided, highly recommend to anyone needing a gas engineer.
