We needed topsoil at very short notice. When I phoned through to the office they were extremely helpful. I was advised to order online as it offers a discount that way but they said they would look out for the order coming through and do their best to get it to us quickly. The topsoil was delivered appropriately 2 hours later. The driver did a sterling job navigating a very tricky driveway and was extremely pleasant even though I believe he may have ended up finishing work late. Very impressed with the service.

We were having difficulty getting a specific plasterboard skip delivered to a small village. Rang Portland Skips, how refreshing to get your call answered straight away. The lady was really helpful in making sure we had the correct skip for our job. We weren't able to be at the delivery but we received regular updates on the delivery and confirmation once it had been delivered. Our instructions were followed perfectly and the skip was left so the area was still very accessible. Hi, Be careful as they have changed their nets so the skips cannot hold as much load as before now the waste has to be a level at the skip top this may have been done to make us buy another skip so we had to remove some of the waste, other than that very fast a service a reasonable price, many thanks.

Phoned portland stone as had some questions with regards to delivery, all of the staff that I spoke to were very helpful and came up with a plan to get the products I ordered to me. As I had a large order and only a small space they were very helpful with coming up with a delivery plan that suited me. Overall the service was fantastic and definitely worthwhile.

We have used portland skip hire a couple of time and they have always been a good experience. Quick and easy. We asked for our skip to be placed on our drive in a way that we could still use it and they did a fantastic job of putting it right in the corner. Only recently I have discovered that they do compost in bulk bag delivery. Great price and even better free local delivery.

Excellent polite service. I started a job on the Tuesday afternoon. Realised I would need a dumpy bag so I order very easily online and it was dropped off first thing Wednesday morning with a collection date of Friday. I received a courtesy call Thursday afternoon to see if Friday was still convenient or if I wish to extend it. Service from start to finish was excellent and would fully recommend.

I ordered a 10yd skip for our house and garden clear out. I asked if it would be possible to have a skip with a drop door in the order notes. Carol responded immediately to say what sizes have the drop door, she changed our order and the skip was delivered within 2 hours and positioned as I had requested. I have never used PSL before. They were recommended to me by a colleague. I ordered a bag to remove approx 1 ton of garden waste, top soil etc. They showed up on time and removed the bag with no issues. Prompt and efficient service. I subsequently ordered some Oak sleepers and fencing products from them as well as aggregates for the project I was doing. Always on time and all products were of a very good quality and at a good price. All staff were friendly and polite and happy to accommodate requirements for delivery etc. Office staff also very helpful when trying to coordinate delivery and collection of the various items. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again in the future.

We use these guys whenever we need a skip. We usually have 1/2 a year from them in order to clear things out at our business premises. Always really helpful and never had a problem.

HI its Kevin, I had a skips from Portland stones,im new for Dorset, I dont know where I can get the service to clear my construction waste as well as garden waste, I googled it no doubt Portland stone skips came a cross I looked on their review,im very satisfied then I hired a 14 yard skip from them also I ordered four dumby bag of gravel, all was on time, good communication from the office, specially the drivers are very happy chappys, im also running a business so whatever I expected its there,im going to order another skip from them honestly from bottom of my heart all the credit for the whole team specially boss man,well done you sir, keep it up, wish you all the very best! The online ordering process was just so simple: select the date you want the skip delivered, select the date you want the skip collected, select the size of skip you want. Just one word of warning, and this has nothing to do with Portland Skips, whatever size of skip you think you need, get the next size up - it’s amazing what “extras” you will find to put in it! Brilliant customer service even down to sending a text to tell you the skip is on it’s way. I would highly recommend the company.

Excellent and professional service I ordered a skip online, the online system was really user friendly, easy to use and informative. The order was almost immediately confirmed, with full details via email. The day prior to delivery, I called and agreed a specific time of delivery to enable vehicles to be removed from the site of delivery. The day of the delivery I received text advising the driver was on way. On arrival, the driver was punctual and very polite and professional. Later the same day I called asking for the skip to be removed asap. Within 2 hours a text arrived confirming driver on way. Again, collection driver very polite and professional. I cannot fault this service and have to say this is the fourth time I have used Portland Stone skip hire and each time would highly recommend.
