The 2 guys were brilliant. They had my very large corner sofa taken apart and removed in less than 30 mins. They couldnt get the corner piece out so they cut it up and fixed the problem. Worked like trojans in 80 degree heat. Cant thank them enough 🙂🙂

Brilliant service. Phone call to say they were on their way and they arrived on time. Took our reclining sofa apart and removed it from the room so we didn’t have to do that or get it outside. We had another sofa which was going to charity but they had booked for the wrong day, so we asked if The Rubbish Removers would take that too - no problem, just extra cost obviously. They cleared surplus stuff/ unwanted rubbish from outside my mums bungalow & the garage , I went round to see if my mum needed any support but the lads had already been and gone, super efficient service I’ve added the after photos, things had built up so it needed a much needed tidy up. Having never used a house clearance service before I was unsure what to expect. The Rubbish Removers were great. The quotation process was fair and the price I paid was the price I was quoted. The team arrived on time, having confirmed their arrival time a couple of hours earlier. The house was cleared with the minimum of fuss. The house was left in good order with no mess to tidy-up (other than 50+ years of dust). I'd highly recommended The Rubbish Removers if you need a house cleared. 5*!

Professional two guy team removed the corner sofa with ease which I’ve had sitting in the flat years (council removal you need to book months in advance and somehow get the sofa to the curb on the pickup date). None I could do myself as based in London and only spend a few days up in Manchester at a time! Submitted the online form with a picture, and they were able to collect two days after! It wasn’t cheap but definitely glad to have the old corner sofa finally gone!

Can't fault the service and professionalism of this company. I used them to remove a large fridge/freezer that was passed it's best. They arrived when they said they would, they were pleasant and friendly and very efficient! They took my payment by card and it was £40 cheaper than my local authority. What an absolutely delightful company. I wrote this review a while ago but Google said it couldn’t publish the review at this time! Not sure why. Every dealing I’ve had with this company, from booking the visit to the actual job has been 10/10. The three chaps that came to remove an enormous amount of unwanted garden items were so professional, friendly and outstanding. They truly had their work cut out with the enormity of the task but they did such a a great job! It’s hard these days to find good, honest, hardworking folks like these guys. I would recommend them anyone. A job that I thought would take about 8 hours took approx 2 hours and the price we paid was great value. Thanks so much for your prompt, friendly and wonderful service. If I can persuade my dad to clear out the garage, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact this company! Thanks so much for everything.

I've used The Rubbish Removers twice now. Both times they have turned up when they said they would, and have been quick and polite. They removed an old glass greenhouse without leaving any glass fragments or breaking any of the panes.

The Rubish Removers get full marks from me. What seemed like an impossible task of removing my late dad’s shed and its contents, was made easy by this company. This was no ordinary shed, it had been lovingly built by dad in a way only he could do… there were some surprises uncovered along the way as dismantling progressed. But the 3, may I say delightful gentleman doing the work, took all in their stride. The guys were professional, hard working, friendly but also in-tune to the fact that this job had an emotional aspect to it for us and for my 92 year old mum. Again, the respect the guys gave mum was so warming to see. I wanted to also say that the job starts on that first enquiry made and despite it being a Sunday, I received an email from Kane in Operations which was very impressive. This level of service from him continued right up to completion of the work. So to recap, 10/10 for the team at The Rubbish Removers.

Very pleased with the service provided today at my deceased auntie's house in Atherton. There was a mix up as a lot of photos I'd sent didn't go through. My fault as I'm not too good with tech stuff and phones being over 70. However the 2 very nice men still took everything out and I was happy to pay extra for the things not accounted for. They worked very hard and I appreciate all they did. I would recommend this company 100% it's made a difficult time easier to get through.

I hired The Rubbish Removers to clear out my late father's house – an already emotional and overwhelming task. From the outset, I was met with apparent sympathy and professionalism from Richard. I was upfront about the property being a hoarder’s home and even provided a detailed video of the downstairs, clearly explaining that the upstairs was in the same condition. Based on this, I was quoted £4,272 for a full house clearance – 4 truckloads – with a note that the cost might increase only if there was an unexpected amount more than described, see photos for email reciepts. But on the day of the clearance, the team immediately said that 4 truckloads would barely cover the downstairs alone. Suddenly, I was being told it would take double the trucks and cost – £8,000. I had already paid a £2,136 deposit, and with all my funds tied up in sorting my father’s estate, I was left in an impossible position: lose my deposit, or somehow produce thousands more pounds I didn’t have. As I was only in the area for 2 days and had taken the holiday and paid for the hotel to stay in stoke, and needed the house clearance asap I was left with no other choice but to continue. After a deeply distressing call with Richard – during which I was in tears – he “generously” agreed to only charge an additional £1,335. As if I should be grateful for being overcharged only 35% instead of 100%. It felt calculated and exploitative – like they knew once I was committed and grieving, I wouldn’t have the energy or means to fight it. To make matters worse, they promised to complete the work on Wednesday, potentially spilling into Thursday if needed. But on Wednesday, I was told they couldn't return Thursday after all and would instead need to come back Friday. I’m not local to the area, so this meant either extending my stay (at more personal cost) or handing over a key. They did return Friday and finish the work – but this forced me to make an extra 6-hour round trip just to retrieve the key and confirm the house secure for insurance reasons. After everything else that week, it was just another blow. While the crew themselves were kind and helpful (especially when I was visibly distressed), they seemed to have a blind spot for cupboards and wall art. They left multiple paintings and pieces of wall art, despite the job being billed as a complete clearance and several cupboard still had items in them. (see photos) I also later learned, through a conversation with the crew, that my father’s house was outside their usual 50-mile service radius (this was 60 miles away). That was never disclosed to me. It now seems clear I was quoted for a job they knew was underpriced and outside their coverage area – potentially so they could drop the real cost on me when it was too late to back out. And finally, to cap it all off, when Richard emailed me the “completed job" email, it listed the wrong street. A perfect metaphor for the carelessness and disregard shown throughout. What started as a quote full of sympathy ended in what felt like a cold, calculated bait-and-switch. During one of the hardest weeks of my life, I was left feeling exploited, misled, and emotionally and financially drained. Proceed with extreme caution.

We had a house clearance today by The Rubbish removers. They arrived before time (for me that's an excellent start) and the 2 gentlemen introduced themselves firstly and then proceeded to survey the job. We contacted the Rubbish Removers to take away some larger items which we struggled to get in the car to take to the tip. They were very prompt in their response and came the following week to remove. The chaps were very friendly and we would certainly use them again! The only downside would be that the proposed pick up slot is quite wide, which can take up most of your day.

The job was arranged very quickly,the team arrived, all very pleasant and set about the job.Everything was done to my satisfaction,and in a professional manner.Not sure of the names apart from the driver,who was Stuart.On completion they hosed and brushed the concrete base where the greenhouse had been erected leaving everything very clean and tidy. I received an email from the company where a certificate of what had been removed attached,also a number of the companies registered number ensuring all had been disposed of in the correct manner. I would definitely use the rubbish removers again,and would highly recommend.

Needing to clear my late father’s house after he passed away at 94, I approached several well-known charities offering good quality items of furniture for donation, though sadly with very little interest. I spoke to one very high-profile heart charity that were very keen to assess the furniture that was on offer, and quoted around £900 for a total house clearance, with the value of any sellable items to be refunded against the cost. After a wait of several weeks until they could visit, they finally attended the house to carry out an assessment. However, after a very quick look around they decided that it wouldn't be worth their time to clear the house! This visit cost me time and money, as I had to travel 35 miles each way to meet them at the house, they were aware of this. This unnecessary journey could have been avoided had their contact centre been honest with me when I first approached them. Disappointed, very wary of fly-tippers and trying to avoid unnecessary landfill, my partner searched the internet for accredited companies and found Rubbish Removers. What a breath of fresh air they were. From the moment my partner spoke to them they were honest, friendly, and professional. We arranged to meet them at the house, they arrived on time, had no issues at all with the items we needed clearing and worked tirelessly to empty the house on what was the warmest day this year. I needed a fridge removing. These guys were quick to respond and collected the fridge the day after I called them. Also, their mannerisms were top notch. Paid via electronic transfer as I wasn't there in person to see them collect it (I had work that day). If you need large, hard-to-remove items that's not scrap metal, give these guys a call.

This excellent, professional, family business 'saved the day' for me and my recent clearance of loft and garage needed to be done at short notice. Richard, Director, determined to provide a local team of his men to be on site within 48 hours of contacting them. Two, very hard working and able gentlemen completed the task and made sure they left a clean space at the end. I can recommend The Rubbish Removers to anyone. Not cheap, but provide the quality of job they promise and worth every penny.

I had some awkward shaped and heavy items to dispose off. They had been ‘looking at me’ for months and I was putting off getting a skip. I used these guys and they came a couple of days later at a time that suited me and took the lot away, clearing up the mess behind them. I got a quote to remove furniture from my aunt's bungalow and they were able to do the removal the following day giving a one hour time scale, as I didn't live in the property this was very helpful. Yesterday Rubbish Removers sent a team to dispose of my old piano, which they did very quickly and efficiently, having phoned me 40 minutes before arriving to check. Friendly, courteous and quick service from all concerned, from sending a quote, booking a date and time and final disposal. I had used them earlier this year: Very easy to book, response and quote came within minutes, came next day, crew rang 40 minutes before arriving, friendly efficient and quick removal of bed, mattress, wardrobes, sofas. Invoiced there and then, card payment by machine and receipt. Minimum stress and fuss. Highly recommended.

I used them to clear a house which was full of rubbish and furniture. They cleared everything, including taking up the carpets and left the house ready for viewings. It was astonishing that they were able to do so much work in one day. They did exactly what I wanted them to do. Can't fault this company. We had a really large shop chiller to remove, they arrived on the day as planned but couldn't take it due to the size, but they returned 2 days later with an extra 2 men to help. They were so helpful and the price they quoted was the price we paid even though they came twice and had to have 4 men not 2 on the job. Brilliant company!!

I used Rubbish Removers to remove an American style fridge freezer from the first floor of my flat, after 2 other companies had told me that it would be impossible to get it down the stairs. Would give 0 stars if I could. Unbelievably expensive. I asked for a quote to remove some empty cardboard boxes, some small bits of broken down furniture and 3 mattresses and I was quoted £400 + VAT. I was absolutely gobsmacked. I had previously been quoted £75 for removing the mattresses, as I understand, they cost more, but £400 + VAT is a totally inflated price. Total rip off, would not recommend.

Contacted these guys after the council refused to take a corner sofa from my back garden, and wanted me to leave it on the front street. Rang today to get two bins emptied , not sure if the guy misheard me but was qouted £90 odd quid . In all the years of using other companies never ever been quoted any more than £30 so seems a shockingly high price for just two bins to be emptied .
