Affordable Roofing & Guttering Services

rang john about a down pipe i needed replacing he came round and looked at what needed replacing , then gave me a quote and a time when he could do the job , all very professional great guy great service. would highly recommend his company .

Affordable Roofing and Guttering arrived spot on time. Did quick assessment and then immediately did repair. The person who did repair was very friendly and proffesional. Would highly recommend.

Great service at a really competitive price. The work was done quickly and effectively and the staff were polite and helpful. I would recommend them unreservedly.

This week I had a leaking roof repaired by Affordable Roofing and I am extremely pleased with the service. John carried out internal and external inspection of the chimney. John identified the problem quickly and I couldn't be happier with the job he done. I found John to be completely honest and kept me informed throughout. Although John specialises in roofing, he also did a very smart and professional job on fitting new gutters, soffits and facias, front and back. I wouldn't hesitate to use John again and would highly recommend. Many thanks again John

John responded quickly to fix our guttering and did an excellent job. He clearly explained the issue and the work needed, and the finished result looks great. What really stood out was that he came back the following day to correct a small imperfection. Thank you, John. I would happily recommend Affordable Roofing & Guttering Services to anyone looking for reliable, professional service.

John replied to my message for a quote really quickly. He came and had a look and was able to price up the job for a very reasonable price. There was no pressure to get additional work done and the job was started quickly. John's team were very pleasant and efficient, you wouldn't have known they were on the roof! (I've had jobs done in the past where tradesmen were messy and very loud!). I was really impressed with John and his company and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Update; I have now had three jobs done by John and his team, on mine and my family’s homes. He is honest, efficient and easy to communicate with. The work is always completed to a good standard and always at a good price. Will not take my business anywhere else!

Just used John’s services and we’re really impressed with the turnaround times of fitting us in and him and Marcus carrying out the work. John was also great at communicating and managing timings with us and the scaffolding company that he uses. Plus his quote was really reasonable - thanks so much John! Would definitely recommend 👍

Brilliant service by John I had a leak and he sorted it asap for me no fuss organised the scaffold they came and was really friendly John done his work scaffold down all done within a couple days !! Really happy with the service thank you

Rang affordable roofing & guttering services and spoke to a lovely guy called john to help with my roof and he was out to see me on the same day, great service and would recommend him , I would use this company again.

We had a leak in our flat roof and John was quick to come out and provide a very reasonable and competitive quote. Our flat roof is at the rear of our house with no access but they weren't put off and we were able to make it work. The team who done the work were polite and got on with the job in the agreed timescale. There was one small little thing I queried once the work was done, John immediately came round and sorted it out which shows the pride taken in finishing the job well. I would recommend John and his team to anyone

Can't fault the turned up did the job what more can I say 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Called john for a leaking roof he came out when he said told me the problem and got me booked in i couldnt recommend john enough completed the job on time at a affordable price i will be using john again i highly recommend john and his team for all your roofing needs

John is a great guy and the work him and his worker did was second to none. I would recommend anyone in the south West to give him a call...

I’m incredibly impressed with the roofing work done recently. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent, and the project was completed efficiently. If you're looking for a reliable and skilled team, I highly recommend their services!

John is amazing ! He is very responsive, and come right after the day. Fix my gutters in 20 mins! The price is very affordable !

I had a roof leak in the early hours of the morning that came into my bedroom from the chimney. Storm Bram got me. Rang John asking for help ASAP to prevent further damage. He came out later that day and explained what needed doing and gave me a quote. The work was literally done by the next day and looks good. He has restored my faith in roofers again after being screwed by another roofer based in Chippenham who installed a new roof last year and failed to respond even though i had a guarantee. John was professional and reliable. Would highly recommend. Have attached before and after photos.

John was very responsive when I called up asking to remove our chimney, we were looking to do it within the week he came round and instantly told me his plan, timeline, and cost. The lads go it all done on time and we're very clean too. You don't get much better service, they just also happened to be very affordable too!

The team were extremely professional and polite. They came out quickly and repaired the leak to my roof. Will use again and have passed on their details to friends and family.

Brilliant company. Completed the job at a high standard. Arrived on time, tidied up after they'd finished, affordable price. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks so much. Highly recommended.

Great service, came quickly to see problem. Happy with quote and work completed very quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend and use again

Great experience from these guys. They quoted and started work very quickly. Great value too.

Good quality work ,very tidy and respectful would definitely recommend

John did a great job on our roof. Will use them again.

The roof at my daughter's flat in Bristol had been recovered prior to her moving in last May. When the scaffolders removed the scaffolding they dislodged a cable and it has been hanging around the 1st floor bay window for months. John & his team were working along the street and I asked if they might reposition and secure the cable at roof / gutter level. Only a small job that might take 30 minutes. Whilst they couldn't do it that day, because they were off on holiday, I did call John on his return. Good to his word, he went to the property and sorted out the cable. I've been searching for someone to do this job for ages & they they were. Only a small task and they didn't charge a fortune. Thank you John and your team.

Phoned up John and he was on holiday, but still answered his phone! Now that’s dedication. Told me to text my address and he’ll be round the day after he got back back from holiday, he arrived this morning as promised, took a look, went off to do some other jobs and was back within 90 minutes to complete the gutter repair, he did a water test to make sure no leaks were visible. Also he spotted another little repair that needs doing which I’m booking him in for. Top firm, top bloke. Definitely recommend.

John has just come out to fix a problem with gutter joint. I’ve used him before he always replies and comes out quickly

Didn't turn up to quote. Wasted my time. Which is so frustrating.

Lead flashing replacement done by John and his colleagues was really well done. Loved the results. Won’t let me upload the photos but looks amazing thanks to John and his team.

John and the team have spent a week repairing my roof and chimneys. They have fixed render, replaced tiles and coping stones, capped chimneys and fitted eaves trays. I've been really pleased with the service from start to finish. John responded to my request for a quote immediately, and came out to view the roof the same day. He was experienced and knowledgeable about what needed to be done.He followed up with a written quote and started work a couple of weeks later. Communication has been excellent, with John responding to texts and emails within the hour. Affordable Roofing were able to do what other roofing companies have failed to do: view, quote reasonably and complete the work as agreed. The whole process took less than a month. The work also has a ten year guarantee.

John was reliable, turned up when he said he would and replaced, repaired and cleaned gutters. Nice to deal with. Hasn't rained yet but hoping to see a marked improvment in the coming months.

John recently completed work on my house roofs and I was pleased with the results. I found John easy to deal with and to be a genuinely nice chap :) Unlike some of the tradesman I've dealt with John always answered his phone and messages, and came round on time, when he said he would, which I really appreciated. There were some set backs on the job which John kept his word and dealt with, so if you're looking for a reliable roofer for a job - he's your man! (shout out also to Pete! What a very nice man) Thank you John and team :)

Great job, pleased with the results. Guys came on time and efficient.

John and his team recently completed some roofing works for me. Was very professional from the free quote, competitive prices and completion of the work. Left my property clean and presentable. Would definitely recommend and use John and his team again!

John has just completed a new roof on my mid-terrace house in Bristol. The whole process has been very straightforward. His quote was competitive, and he pointed out that the tiles on the house were good and could be re-used, which was a big plus for me. He and his team carried out the work on time and as promised. Communication throughout was clear and helpful. I would certainly recommend Affordable Roofing after this experience and I have a 20-year guarantee on the work. Thanks John and team.

This was the second time we'd used Affordable Roofing & Guttering, 1st time around was for our front guttering then this time around was for a whole new roof and our back guttering, John and his team are extremely reliable and did an excellent job both times...plus their a really nice bunch of lads.

My son had a leak in his roof. John knew exactly what the problem was and his quote clearly explained what needed doing. The roof was quickly and efficiently repaired by John and his team.Communication was great throughout. Would recommend this friendly company.

John was very efficient, responded to queries and kept to times agreed. This was very appreciated.

Second time using affordable roofing John is such a nice bloke quality of work is excellent

Speedy responses and got the work done promptly after first contact! Very polite chap. Hopefully won't need to but if we do - will definitely use again!!!

Great service. Fast and reliable and really good price. Will use them again when I need a bigger job done and am recommending to friends who need a repair done similar to mine 👍

John and the team did a great job on our roof. From the minute we enquired, John and the team were friendly and communicated the whole way with how everything was getting on. Would recommend to anyone needing a new roof. Thanks again guys for everything.

John came highly recommended and provided a first class service. John and his team were friendly and did a great job on time as promised. It’s refreshing to have someone complete a project at a very competitive price - thank you!

John came to look at our missing ridge tile and quoted us very reasonably. We booked him in for the earliest opportunity. He came when he said he would and the roof was repaired in under an hour. The work was clean and tidy and the repair looked good. John and his team were courteous and friendly, and I would use him again for future roofing work. There was some confusion around what was happening with the work initially, which turned out to be me sending messages to the number that Google lists as the contact number for the company. It turned out that John didn't receive any of the messages that I had sent to this number, and that I needed his personal phone number instead, which was accepting my messages. Just be aware that if you message the number for calling, your message won't get through! Hopefully John can clear this up for future customers by instructing them to reach him on his own number instead.

Booked in a week in advance and then nobody showed up on the arranged date to fix our roof. Not showing up with no communication is very poor in itself, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried to schedule another booking, but have been ignored over text. Ringing their number they answer as usual, I assume our small job was inconvenient and so they didn't fancy it. If you're searching for a reliable roofer, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Edit: As you can see from the attached screenshot, I have already been in contact with John via his number. On the day he was due to visit he responded to let me know his daughter had a bike accident and then he never got back to my request to rebook, as mentioned in my original review.

Sorted a hip tile that blew off in the weather at sort notice at a good price. Thank you

I can not praise Affordable roofing highly enough for the work they carried out on my roof. I am a very happy customer. Having been messed around by a couple of companies in the past regarding my roofing problem, I was nervous about having the work done. I need not have worried. John assessed the situation, advised me on the best course of action to take, and once I decided to proceed, the work was carried out quickly and professionally . I wouldn’t hesitate to use Affordable roofing in the future, and feel reassured in knowing I have found a company who are not only reliable, but who take pride in their work and care about their customers. Thank you.

After numerous attempts by others to fix a leak in the roof John indentified 2 problem areas and the scaffolding was erected and the job completed within a week.Good bunch of the Lads too.

Needed urgent roof replacement. John and his team did a great job, keeping me updated, did the work quickly and within the quote. Recommended ++

John came over to fix an awkward gutter on the back of our Dormer and did a good job. He was very quick and friendly to deal with.

Would recommend John and team. Great, responsive communication and updates, clear detailed quote for refurbishment of our flat roof. Work completed ahead of schedule. Big thanks

Highly recommended John for any work that needs doing! He was friendly, efficient & quick. As our job that needed doing was quite urgent John was on it straight away! Would definitely use again!

Absolutely fantastic service and advice. Thank you so much - I strongly recommend John and his company. Thank you so much.

Avoid... Real professional just came and quoted half the price! Took one look at my house and seemed to double the price WITHOUT looking at the job, i.e. failed to walk 3 metres to look at the job... just crazy... affordable was not

John done a lovely job left the site clean and tidy when they finished would highly recommend

Affordable roofing replaced the guttering etc at the back of my house today, very good price, John and his team did a wonderful job, left everything tidy, , just got to wait for the rain now

John's communication was brilliant and he and his team did a great job on our fascias and guttering. Would definitely recommend

Excellent work by John and his team, they fixed my roof/dormer in under 2 days and John was very friendly and clear about the work being done. Top value for money, would definitely recommend.

John did a brilliant job from start to finish. He quoted a fair and reasonable price. Very happy with the end result and appreciated the great communication throughout.

John and his team arrived promptly on the day. Several jobs required, all done looking very neat and tidy. Would definitely use again.

Very prompt and friendly. Tidy work and accommodated the bad weather. 10 year guarantee offered as standard Before and after photo shows tidy work, very happy, thanks John :)

Very helpful in advice and support.easy to contact. High standard of work. They obviously take pride in what they do. Have already highly recommended their services to others. Very pleased with the outcome and will definitely use them again.

John arrived to quote for the job when he said he would, quoted quickly, and didn't try to upsell me on the work that needed doing. His team worked quickly to complete the work required, replacing render on parapet walls, repointing a chimney and fitting a replacement velux and look to have done an excellent job. I would certainly recommend Affordable roofing to others wanting repairs.

John provided a very prompt and friendly service. It was a small job but he didn't mind at all. He gave us some valuable advice about needing a new roof sooner than later, which we knew already to be honest so he just patched it up, and it was very reasonably priced. We shall definitely be using his services again!

Great experience. Arranged a visit promptly and were really friendly and clear about what work did, and did not, need to be done on our roof. Will definitely use again.

These guys were brilliant, professional, friendly, efficient and great value. They're given a 10 years guarantee for the job done. Definitely recommend it if you're after a trustworthy roofer. Thank you

John was quick to take a look. Give us a quote and book us in. Really friendly company, trustworthy and no upselling. Just straight to it, got us sorted in a few hours. These are practiced hands and he's getting booked in fast so definitely someone to consider if you need work doing on your roof. Will be recommending affordable roofing to friends.

John responded very quickly to our request for urgent repairs to the roof of an old chapel building, after several other companies had not even answered our enquiry. He organised the scaffolding, which was challenging due to the narrow access, and did a great job repairing damage to our roof. It is such a relief to know that this relentless rain can no longer get in.

John and his guys did a great job replacing our fascias, soffits and guttering. They were friendly and explained all they were doing, and kept to the quote. Already booked them for more work. Very happy all around.

So prompt to come and look, quoted quickly and were at our house working on the leaky roof by the next week. Really nice people and a brilliant service would highly recommend.

We had really cold weather, and an ice dam occurred, meaning a small amount of water entered the loft. I contacted John, and he arrived the next day to take a look (Saturday). John was honest, and advised little could be done, other than getting a couple of vents installed. John was honest and informed us of the cost of the vents (quite expensive, due to the type of roof tile) - Most tradesmen would try to sell the work, at all costs, not John. On this occasion, we didn't proceed with the installation of vent's, however if we needed roofing work carried out in future, I wouldn't hesitate to contact John. Thanks again.

We noticed we had a leak in the roof and were concerned there may be more problems hidden beneath the tiles. John was quick to respond to our initial enquiry, to come out and quote and get the roof repairs booked in. During the repair work he was very communicative and explained exactly what issues he had found and how he proposed to repair them - it turned out there were more issues than we had first anticipated. He did a thorough and quick job and stuck to his initial quotation, even though the work required was different to what he first anticipated. Would recommend John and will certainly be in touch again if we need any more work on our roof.

John is very prompt and reliable. Does decent work for a fair price. Highly recommend!

John and his men where on time and worked to the highest quality. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing roofing doing.

John and his team where great, they had great attention to detail

Excellent service with great workmanship. Would definitely use John again...

Great job by the team - really quick and responsive for a chimney stack repair. Will be booking them for full roof replacement later in the year.

Poor communication, late notice cancellations and finally a no-show at an arranged date and time to do the job. Not turning up to the job and with no communication before or afterwards was hugely frustrating. If you need reliability, communication and confidence in a tradesman, then I suggest you look elsewhere.

These before and after photos show a great job. On top of that John was reliable, efficient and charming. He kept to deadlines and budgets. I’d choose him again.

Last week I had a problem with rain water coming though roof. I was Absolutely dreading the cost and the Damage of having a roof repaired this time of year. John came out on Sunday gave me a quote. He's team carried out the work Tuesday. Repaired the damaged section. I will 100% recommend them. Very prompt. Clean job. No fuss.

So impressed with John and his excellent team, Peter & Dan. Efficient, professional and got the job done on our cottage roof and chimneys without any fuss and no loading of material costs. Highly recommend these guys...nothing was any trouble and they were a pleasure to have at our property as they were tidy and trustworthy and froendly. Thank you guys

One phone call and John was here the following day, he was very reasurring, very affordable and quick to communicate. The work was also started promptly after making initial contact. John offers a long guarantee of his work too, which is reasurring. Thank you.

We reached out to Affordable Roofing & Guttering to get a quotation to fully replace all the guttering to our house and garage. John replied quickly and looked at the job the very next day. He gave us a quote there and then, and after getting several quotations from other companies, John's price was by far the most competitive. The job was penciled in the diary in no time at all, and John and the team arrived bang on time. The work was carried out professionally, and in a timely manner, and we are delighted with the end result. We would highly recommend Affordable Roofing & Guttering services, and would certainly use them again if we needed any more work carried out.

Remediation work on the roof done brilliantly by John, Dan and Phil. On time, very honest and gave a clear description of the work to be carried out. Costs agreed, remortar done, gutters cleaned of all the mess, broken tiles replaced and all waste taken to the tip. Very professional and I would definitely recommended John and his team. Also get a 5 year guarantee for the work. 👍

Thank you for replacing our flashing. Sorry for the scary neighbour 😂 would recommend John!

I had a broken roof tile which was causing a leak in our roof. Within 24 hours of getting hold of John he came out and had the roof fixed. I will definitely be using their services again and I would highly recommend Affordable Roofing and Guttering.

John did a great job at a competitive price. My new bay roof looks stunning, new guttering, facia and soffit. He re-rendered my chimney so it is nice and water tight. I have him coming back to do my rear gutters and a vent tile. Thank you John.

Friendly service and quick turnaround

I got into contact with John through a friend who had used his service, and honestly I cannot recommend him enough! He was very quick to respond to me and to arrange a quote for the work, once that was sorted he began the work promptly. End results are excellent, everything was done with such a high standard, also John is a friendly and funny guy! Made me feel so at ease having him work on my property! Overall 10/10!!

John inspected my shed roof and gave a reasonable quote for the work that needed doing. John repaired my roof the following week and to a very high standard. I’m very happy with the work carried out and the price paid.
