Proper Roof Ltd

A proper roof job, very pleased with the quality of the rebuilt chimneys and roof repairs on a Victorian house. Not the cheapest, but excellent work on our house and two of our neighbours. Expert advice, and a range of options offered. Helpful, tidy, courteous, skilled workmen. Happy to recommend.

In my experience, it's rare to find such high-quality tradesmen. The assessment of the solution to my roof problems was professional. The job started on time, and the attention to detail during my re-roof was fastidious. The tradesmen were polite, and they enjoyed explaining to me what they were doing as the job progressed. Getting sign-off by the buildings inspector, for my upgraded insulation, was a breeze. Fantastic job, lads - thank you all. The name of the company is a give-away - if you want a proper roof job done, look no further.

We had a very bad experience with a rogue roofer in 2023, leaving us with a leaking lead valley. We were understandably extremely nervous about getting another in to sort the mess out. Oskars at Proper Roof was recommended to us by a friend in the village and has not let us down. His communication is first class, keeping us involved and informed all through remedial work. When he found more problems than anticipated he came up with a solution that actually saved us money. We now have a Lead valley that we have confidence will not leak, and if we did have a problem I am also confident that he would return to sort it out. We would definitely use him again another time. We are getting numerous compliments from neighbours on the appearance. Highly recommended.

Having physically seen a number of properties Proper Roof had worked on the quality was so high that I made further enquiries with friends who had used this company and I knew this was who I should go with for my project. One of the best decisions I have ever made. THE WHOLE team was brilliantly professional and they had different trade specialists for the different aspects of the job. I have already arranged for them to return to my property to do other projects. They are not the cheapest and that's because they use quality people and products and they are the best. Thank you, Nick in Duffield.

I have waited 6 months before posting a review, just to make sure that the repair that was done on my tiled roof actually worked. And it has! I am very happy with the way the work was carried out, and with the end result. They were professional at all times, and have managed to fix a problem which other roofers could not. Not the cheapest, but it seems you get what you pay for. Very happy with the outcome 😊

The Proper Roof team did a great job of repairing our roof and rebuilding the chimney. Oskars initially carried out a thorough survey using his drone as well as manually inspecting the roof, then provided a clear quote before starting work quickly (we had a tight timeframe due to the presence of bats in the attic). The team were polite and hard-working and Oskars kept us informed of progress at every step. Care was taken to work with the restrictions due to the bats, including the fitting of special tiles to allow them access. A big thank you!

I had my main roof and flat roof replaced in Jan 2024, I've had no problems with the roof and the work is top notch, While here the team were always working hard and made sure that my home was tidy and safe before they left, I was happy with the time the work took and pleased with the results, many thanks to Oskars and his team.

I needed a new roof for my terraced house. I had hired a different roofer, but there were a lot of issues with their work. Eventually I'd had enough and called Proper Roof. They came round promptly, surveyed the job and protected my property from the weather. They gave me a reasonable timeframe for when they could start the job and how long it would take to complete. While they were working, they turned up everyday, worked long days, kept me up to date and left the site tidy everyday. If they encountered any issues they let me know and gave me different options and costs for fixing them. I highly reccommend them, my only regret was not hiring them in the first place!

Cannot recommend Proper Roof enough. Diligent, hard-working, honest, timely, reasonably priced. Really put my mind at ease during a stressful re-roof.

Proper Roof Ltd. replaced our roof tiles, felt, soffits, fascia, guttering, raised the loft floor and laid new insulation. Oskar and his team did a first class job in appalling weather conditions. Hard working, very clean and tidy and so polite. I can’t recommend them highly enough. What could have been a very worrying time was completely stress free from start to finish. We are just so pleased with the finished job and the excellent service provided.

I have used the Proper Roof Ltd company on two separate occasions for two very different roofing jobs They are excellent, very efficient clean and respectful of the customer's home The two jobs they did were carried out to a high quality and the standard of work was exceptionally Communication was clear through out and I was kept updated of progress daily both by Oskars (the owner) and the roofers on the job Highly recommended if you want a very good roofing company

I would highly recommend Proper Roof LTD. They gave a detailed quote and got on well with the job and I am very pleased with the results, the work they did on my chimneys looks excellent. They also fixed a couple of other issues in addition whilst doing the work. There was no pressure from the company to go ahead with the work and everyone was polite and professional whilst on site.

Proper Roof were recommended to us as we required urgent repairs to our roof. They arrived promptly and carried out a free detailed survey. There was no hard sell and the quote for the work was reasonable. They started and finished the work quickly. We were very impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. They are a very friendly trustworthy team and we have since used them again. Highly recommended!

I genuinely could not provide a stronger recommendation for Proper Roof LTD. I needed pretty much a full roof replacement. They came out extremely promptly and fully examined the property to ensure the quote was accurate. They used a drone to photograph the roof to show me what work needed doing. The quote was competitive detailing all work that would be undertaken. Once I agreed the work they got straight on with the job and I could not be more pleased with the result. I will also add they fix a number of issues in addition whilst doing the work. During the work they found another part of my house that needed repair above a bay window. They showed me the issue and gave me options for how it could be fixed include one with my budget. There was no pressure and all decisions I made myself. If you need your roof doing Proper Roof is the way to go.
