Charles Roofing

Profesional, friendly, and organised with erecting the scaffolding and the agreed start date. I spotted them working on a neighbours roof and we invited them to quote. Glad we did. Really nice team and work carried out to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.

After spotting their vans and googling i contacted Charles Roofing about a leak in my roof, they came out and did a free check also taking photos of what needed doing. They explained what needed to be done and said they would prepare a quote. When the quote arrived I was happy with the price so agreed for the work to be done. When they started taking the tiles of it turned into a can of worms with lots of rotten wood under plastic facias on edge of bungalow, after showing me photos and pricing it up they gave me a verbal price and I agreed to have the work done they also agreed to do it at the same time. I was surprised at the amount of work they actually had to do and after 2 full days the work was done. The guys were polite, courteous and respectful of my property and worked very well together, when a mess was made it was cleaned up as soon as possible. All rubbish was cleared away. I would definitely recommend this company and I am very happy with the work done.

If you’re considering having any type of roof work done, this is the company. Their prices are very reasonable, and the lads who do the work are, friendly, polite, and work really hard. They turned up on time, cleared up after every day and the work done was to a very high standard. I would fully recommend them

Charles Roofing were very reliable and trustworthy. They were very informative of what needed to be done. Quick quotes and competitive pricing. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Anthony and his team made an excellent job on my New roof. His team are a friendly bunch.and would recommend Charles Roofing.Very competitive price.

Charles Roofing replaced a broken tile within a couple of days. Excellent service.

Anthony and his team did a great job in repairing various roof issues in no time and at a reasonable price. I had picked them randomly out of google search for roofers in the area and I am glad I chose them. I recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone needing roof repairs.

Pleased with the work done, we had a leak in the roof coming through our bedroom ceiling which Anthony came and resolved quickly and repaired lots of other damage also found on the roof for a fair price. Would recommend!!

Great work by Anthony and his team for doing the new leadwork and repair work for the gully.

Very quick and efficient service. Came out and gave an honest assessment of the job and told us it was a minor repair. This was carried out the following day for a very reasonable price.

Excellent service. Responsive, quick and extremely cheap! Highly recommended 👍🏻

I dealt with Anthony Charles who was most helpful and always answered his phone which as I am 100 miles away is a great bonus! Charles Roofing sorted out a chimney in need of repair and also attended to a worn gulley. At the same time they found some other issues that needed attention sending through photos and a quote promptly so I could make a decision. They completed all the work to a good standard and left everything clean & tidy

Fast response from Anthony, who quoted a reasonable price to repair the mortar for the ledges from my and my neighbour's roof. We really appreciated being fitted in before Christmas by a good team who braved some strong winds, working up a high ladder. They left our property clean & tidy. So far so good, despite the weather.

I contacted CHARLES ROOFING earlier this month following my discovery of a serious water leak in my ( tiled / pitched ) roof. I had no previous knowledge of this company, and chose them largely on the strength of the Customer Reviews I found on line. A wise decision; - I was not disappointed, and I would further endorse all the 5-star customer reviews with my own experience. A Charles Roofing team visited my property within hours of my making initial telephone contact. That same evening I had received my ( very attractive ) quote for the work that needed doing, following a full survey and detailed explanation of the activities/ materials required. Following my acceptance of the quote, and agreed start date of today, ( 29th. NOV. ), the team arrived at my home for a 07.30 hrs. start ! Within an hour, the work was well underway, ( in the freezing cold ! ), and it was very obvious that these guys knew what they were doing. I was expecting the job to take all day, but by 14.00 hrs, they were packed up and gone; - and the site was left squeaky clean and spoil free. The highlight of the job, for me, was the fact that several additional tiles were required to completely reconstruct and alter the leaking gulley on my roof; - Charles Roofing managed to obtain 2nd. hand, used tiles which matched the rest of my roof perfectly; - it is fair to say that you would never know that anyone had ever been here to repair and rebuild my roof. A first class job, which has exceeded my best expectations. Well done Charles Roofing, and thank you ! I have no hesitation in recommending this company !! Ray Adams. CANTERBURY.

He was very prompt, friendly, reliable and efficient. He identified the problem quickly and quoted a good price. Very pleased to find such a good roofer!

We contacted Charles Roofing as we needed a wood burner flue removed from our roof and replaced with a tile vent to connect to a bathroom extractor. Anthony came out to quote within a couple of days of us contacting him. There was some confusion around how the scaffolding had been set up but Anthony kept us up-to-date and it didn’t affect the completion date. We thought it only fair, as it was only after reading all the 5-star reviews that we contacted Anthony, that we left our own 5-star review to confirm what others say. Polite, trustworthy, hardworking, and we’re very happy with how it all looks. We would definitely recommend Anthony and the team at Charles Roofing!

We contacted Anthony back in February after we had a leak in our flat roof. He came and asked if we would like felt or Sika (a product that moves with the weather). They came and started last Wednesday, they stripped off the roof and put down new insulation, New support beams, Fascia and complete new roof with a first coat of Sika to waterproof if and came back and completed the job with new lead flashing, final coat of Sika and finishing touches. The guys were absolutely brilliant. Friendly, and accommodating, easy to chat too, and knew what was needed and very knowledgeable. They cleared up and took away all the old waste. All in all, we are extremely happy with the work, and how it looks. Thanks very much to you and your guys for an amazing job. Happily recommend to anyone who asks me. Before and after photos included.

A great job from start to finish. Timely responses to any question - Not only replaced the garage flat roof (a tricky one, as joined onto other out buildings), but improved on the original design, by extending slightly to ensure more water got to the gutter, along with extending over a previous joint issue. Worked a long day - tidied up well. Bill exactly as the quote. Thank you.

Had need to call out Charles roofing March 2024. Excellent job done at very reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful. Even came out on a sunday to solve the roofing issues I had. I fully recommend this company. Excellent

Carried out the work on budget and within time frame. Would recommend in the future. Thanks.

Anthony & his team very polite & knowledgeable. He put my mind at rest about the repair needed and completely the job promptly & at a very reasonable price. The team tidied up afterwards. I would highly recommend him.

Had a leak, called Charles roofing and they came out super quick, fixed the problem and were very efficient in doing so, would happily recommend and would use again in the future. Pricing was also very fair.

Anthony was very helpful and explained everything clearly and the rate he charged was very reasonable. I explained that the work needed to be completed asap and he and his team did a first class a job and left the work area clean and tidy that weekend. Would have no problem recommending him.

Recently used Charles Roofing for some repair work on my slates and chimney which were in need of some attention. I was given professional, cost effective solutions which were delivered professionally and in a timely manor. The guys were very personable and I will certainly be using them again for any further roofing work.

Charles Roofing did an amazing job on repairing our old Victorian roof. This is the second time we have used Charles Roofing on two different Victorian residences and both times we have found them reliable and trustworthy tradesman. Anthony gave us some really honest and good advice and we felt he really wanted to do what was best for the house all the whilst considering our budget at the time of repair. The team were professional, highly experienced and worked tirelessly to get our roof repaired before the wet weather set back in. Thank you so much!

Top quality work and I can't believe how quick and efficient they are

Such a great team of workers on this company all well spoken and well mannered did not have one problem with the work highly recommended

From start to finish, Anthony and his team made brilliant accounts of themselves. Always on time, lovely group of lads who have your best interests at heart. Would most definitely recommend. Thank you again guys.

Completely reckless driver attempted to overtake be on a roundabout while I was on my bike, and almost ran me off the road before stopping. Then tried to overtake me on a dangerously narrow road and actually hit me. I'm appalled that people like this are allowed to drive and threaten all over road users like this. Charles roofing should be ashamed for hiring such a person and letting them wreak havoc in their vehicle.

Beware, I had a flat roof replaced by this company. After less than two years all of the flashing they had installed fell off. In spite of many phone calls and recorded delivery letter they would not come along and rectify this. Because of my fear of rainwater penetrating the walls I have had to get another roofer to fix it for me. He told me that the reason it fell off was that incorrect wedges had been used.

Reliable roofing company

Excellent roof repair. Thorough and professional. Quickly identified the problem and solved the problem swiftly and thoroughly.

Some crumbling mortar at the property. A small but important job. Impressed by the responsiveness and simplicity of the service. Everything was sorted and tidy and done fairly promptly too. All good value.

C Roofing is a great outfit. Very impressed with the work and most especially with the after-care

Fans of driving and being on their phones

Great work carried out by Anthony and his professional team...I had a new sika flat roof fitted in November 2018 carried out by South East Home improvements London &Kent...First time it rained my bathroom was flooded and ceiling dripping with water...The roofers came back and put a tarpoline over the roof...Saying they would be back when the sun came out....Cost of roof..£3,650....Contacted Charles Roofing who came the same day and advised me that the roof was completed to a very poor standard...He wrote a lengthy report noting all the defects..His team arrived a couple of days later and were most professional in every way..The splendid work was completed in one day and was half the cost...Would certainly use this firm for any more Roofing work...

My rating is a "0". When driving in Canterbury on Dec 28th at 14:30 and first seeing a sign written Charles roofing van using the "wa#$er" hand gesture to another road user, this van then preceded to change lanes abruptly without signal and cut me up turning left at riding gate roundabout, I sounded my horn as they had clearly not seen me, the van then used heavy breaking and various hand signals in reply clearly thinking it was my fault. When using a sign written van you are a representative of the company and clearly this guy did not value that at all. Should anyone want a roofing contractor in canterbury I would avoid like the plague! Disgraceful behaviour. I have not hired this company for roofing services but their actions and dismissive reply of the incident reflects poorly. You were in a van with your company details on it! How else would I know!
