Gerry and team did a great job installing a 48kWh Fogstar battery and a 10kW Solis inverter, connecting this up to our existing solar and replacing the smaller inverter we had before. We now get more from our existing panels without clipping and have already made £180 from Axle grid events in 4 months. This setup works great, fully locally controllable via Home Assistant and we now charge at cheap Octopus overnight rates or during free power sessions to use throughout the day.

Gerry has responded magnificently quickly to replacing a faulty inverter. His work is first class as it was during the original installation. Highly recommended.

We had a poorly installed solar system from a rogue company, and Gerry from Brite Energy came out and sorted the whole thing out. He relocated everything and did a fantastic job. About two years later our inverter packed in, so we got back in touch with Gerry. He came to the rescue again, tested the equipment, and used his direct contact with the Chinese manufacturer to sort a replacement. Within a couple of days a brand new inverter arrived, and Gerry fitted it straight away. We're back up and running and enjoying lovely free energy. Can't thank Gerry and Brite Energy Ltd enough.

Gerry and his team came out to complete the first phase of our solar install yesterday (including a new EV charger) and I would recommend them to everyone! Super professional and very friendly, they arrived on time and worked non stop all day to get everything finished. They were very accommodating and made sure everything was done the best possible way to make it all look neat and tidy. Very happy!

Visited to survey for a straightforward solar and battery installation, seemed pleasant and knowledgeable and said a quote would follow, then ghosted us and did not respond to follow up messages. Waste of time.

Morning all, awhile back on the 19th of April 2023 I asked on a group chat if anyone had recommendations to fix the solar system fitted by a cowboy company called Energy Home ltd. D. E. S. Renewable Energy Ltd was my first port of call as they are only 4 miles away on the Ferndown industrial estate, after many phone calls and chats on messenger I gave and sent all the relevant details, nothing, not even told they weren't interested. So next I tried Bright Spark Energy after Mark Stevenson said his firm has supposed to have rectified a few of Lee Furneaux poorly installed installations, did the due diligence this time on his firm, very very impressive C V. But again after quite a few phone calls, several personal messages and a few emails, didn't have the decency to say they also were not interested, maybe the job was a bit too complicated for them, who knows. Then another member of the group recommend Gerry Chaplin of Brite Energy Ltd. Bournemouth was a bit out of his way but yeah, he called back and made a call out day, he turned up, did a thorough examination, all wired incorrectly, I was getting some solar power during daylight, but nothing from the batteries. Gerry noticed I had hot tub, I told him that unfortunately, with the cost of living these I couldn't afford the electric to run it, Gerry came up with an affordable solution to upgrade my system from a 3.5 Kw to a 5 Kw system, great, so I then asked for 6 more panels on the east side of my semi detached house, but it would only fit 5. Tuesday 11th July the scaffolders arrived MTM scaffolders, I can highly recommend them,real professionals. Wednesday 12th July 2023 Gerry turned up with his young apprentice Jacob and started the job. Thursday Gerry and Jacob turned up with the 3rd member of his team, the electrician Barry, Gerry and Jacob had already moved the box that draws the power to the outside of my house into a powder coated waterproof metal box, so Barry spent his day moving the inverter and correctly rewiring the system, by 1600 hours Gerry and Jacob were now in the loft trying to correct and wire up all 17 solar panels, unfortunately I had a wasps nest inside the plastic eaves around the outside and Gerry was stung 3 times before he called it a day. Because of that, I had to wait another week for Gerry to clear his calendar to come and finish the installation on the proviso I get rid of the nest, I can recommend rentokill dust powder and Raid wasp spray, banged the rafters wasps crawled through the dust went back and after 3 days of treatment, job done. Wednesday the 19th July Gerry arrived at 0830 hours, and he completed the wiring, I was on wasp watching duty but only 3 or four juvenile wasps turned out, that Raid spray kills on contact. Gerry got everything up and running perfectly by 1600 hours. Also as it's classed as a new installation Gerry is sorting out my MCS certificate and DNO letter. The weather last week wasn't good, overcast and dull and raining but my weekly spend on gas AND electric was just £12. So more than cut in half. And as of the present March 2025, everything is still fantastic, I'm with octopus energy, and I get paid 15p per Kw I upload to the grid, I am always in credit and even had £300 paid back into my bank account because we had a very sunny summer in 2024. So I can emphatically and happily even, more than highly recommend Gerry Chaplin and his team at Brite Energy. Signed by a very happy customer Dougie Stobbs
